Kandi, Kim, Sheree, Nene and very little Lisa

This show is starting to get dull, because it is overwhelmingly phony!

This week, Nene goes back to her hometown Athens, GA and while she narrates her story, her dialect changes, her enunciation of words become very deliberate. Nene, her Uncle and ghost writer go to a house that Nene claims her Mother once owned. Very nice home and it gives one the impression that Nene came from money, because Nene states this house would have been her Mother’s summer home. Summer home in the Southeast? Most people in the Northeast make their second home in the South their winter home to escape the harsh winters of the North. Any who, the house according to Nene has been vacant for numerous years and no one in the family wanted to change the house. Nene and her crew stood outside of the house because she did not have a key!? Why would someone leave a house vacant for numerous years and why doesn’t NeNe have the key or have access to the key to her Mother’s home? Was this home her step fathers home and Nene’s mother lived in the house with him?

Nene meets the man who states he is her Father. Nothing but pleasantries were exchanged, no tears, hugs or embrace. Just a handshake. They agreed to talk later and he would answer any questions she had.

Kim was basically non eventful this week. She met Sheree at FAB(place of the notorious fight) and the organized a surprise engagement party for Kandi. She has Dwight J bring over a new wig and claims her wigs cost $800 per wig and she uses a new wig everyday! At least she is trying to show some extravagant spending, but being wasteful is just dumb! She organizes Kandi’s engagement party and it appears that only the Housewives and a few extras showed.

Lisa ???? Showed up with Ed to Kandi’s engagement party and that was her role this week. Dwight organizing Sheree’s Fashion show had more time the Lisa.

Now for Kandi. It isn’t wierd seeing AJ on TV, but you have to wonder if her Mother has a since of relief since AJ is no longer in the picture. Kandi, AJ and Kandi’s Mom (Joyce) went to counseling and Mom expresses her concern and protection of everything Kandi has worked hard to earn. It also gets out that Kandi did not feel a prenup is necessary. That just is not smart.

Sheree continues to prepare for She for Sheree and her samples are delivered. Sheree had all the samples made in her size, not the average model size. Sheree’s body is amazing and her samples (those that we saw) look much, much better then Closet Freak! She also plans the non eventful engagement party for Kandi with Kim.

The surprise engagement party was a surprise to Kandi and AJ. Kandi’s Mother and Aunts also showed up to the engagement party. Everyone was very polite, but the awkward of the moment is transparent through the television airwaves. Well, AJ ask Kandi’s Mom to give a toast. WTF?? AJ wanted to start something! Mom stands there and pretty much says she hopes she is wrong and it all works out.

We need some new Housewives from the ATL!!!

Heals to the NAW!

Real Housewives of Atlanta

What in the world did Dwight have on at the Heal the Soul run? Dwight wore a black catsuit that stopped at mid thigh and a belly button hole in the stomach, with a beige cap on his head. WTF??

Nene cheated on her own run and still lost. All of the housewives with the exception of Kim and Kandi participated. Kim was not invited and there was no discussion as to why Kandi was not present.

Sheree prepared for her fashion show with the help of Dwight. Dwight took over and Sheree became a coward and allowed him to do so. Dwight may know what he is doing, but he goes on and on and on. He loves the sound of his voice, but I am not sure if he likes the way he looks? He looks more peculiar every episode. Sheree is fading off of the show, she may want to find some drama.

Once again Lisa has no story line. She took a pregnancy test because her cycle had been irregular. How an irregular cycle has something in common with pregnancy I don’t know. A missed cycle may warrant a pregnancy test, but irregular? Needless to say Lisa spent $13.95 on an early pregnancy test to find out her irregular cycle was not because she was pregnant.

We saw Kim spending over $600 on clothing for her youngest daughter using her black AMEX card. Kim said it was hers and not Big Poppas. It is my understanding a minimum of $250,000 a year has to be spent to acquire that card. How can Kim spend $25o,00o a year without Big Poppa? Kim needs to get a grip with reality and keep it real. I wonder if she returned all of the clothing once the cameras left?

Kandi went to LA to sign with Capital records. We also see the problem with reality TV. The earyness of watching a person who is no longer living, having conversations that is new to the viewer. It appears that Bravo has chosen not to edit the scenes with Ashley “AJ” Jewel and Kandi. Next week previews show Kandi, her Mother and AJ in family counseling and arguing about their pending marriage.

AJ’s wake was today in Atlanta and filming of the reunion show was to take place yesterday, but was canceled by Bravo. I cannot imagine Kandi will attend the reunion show, how will they be able to have petty arguments when someone is going through something so tragic. These women have immeasurable egos, but I don’t think they would attack Kandi when she is going through such a difficult time.

Dwight was once again on this weeks episode. I believe Bravo is afraid to have a show without him. They should call this the Real Housewives of Atlanta and Dwight.

Why does Kim flaunt Big Poppa? Didn’t Superhead aka Karrine Steffans have a Big Poppa? Superheads Big Poppa sounds a lot like Kim’s. Both married and support there financial habbits, unable to be seen in public with there Big Poppa’s and spends the Holiday’s withouth there Big Poppa’s. Kim’s former manager was on a local radio station in Atlanta stating Kim was a former stripper at the Cheetah in Atlanta. If this is true, is this where she met Big Poppa? Come on really Kim, how can this work? Would you want this life for your daughters?

It appears Kim gained courage when she hears herself on Tardy for the Party and thinks she sounds pretty good and no longer wants Nene on the song and tells Kandi she does not have to make arrangements with Nene to be placed on the song and she would do it herself.

Speaking of Ego’s, Sheree, Sheree, Sheree. Her ego is bigger then Georgia and Lawrence her hairstylist feeds it by stating she looks like a hot 18-year-old. Sheree had a nice turnout for Independence party, but it did not appear to be a party or anything to really celebrate her independence. What did the female stripper have to do with Sheree and her independence?

I liked Sheree’s photo, but it may be a little to large for her home, a billboard may be more appropriate. Lawrence was there to support his girl Sheree with his Blood red fringe shirt, pink leggings and red high heel shoes!

I have come to the conclusion that Nene had an out of body experience when she began to argue with Kim about her removal from Tardy for the party. Did Nene really tell Kim she cannot sell the song without her? I initially thought she was joking, but it became quite obvious she was serious. Was Nene high or something, because Nene is straight hating! That green from envy is not flattering on her. No, tardy for the party will not go far, but it would not have gone great lengths with Nene either.

I am starting to really like and respect Kandi for trying to stay neutral when necessary and then putting Nene in her place when she deserved to be put in her place.

Did Lisa start that fight with Nene and Kandi?

So many things are consistent with these women on this show.

In Sheree’s mind she really is Fabulous.
Kim only drives White Luxury vehicles. Her Range Rover, Cadillac Escalade and Bentley are all white.
Nene may be from Athens but Nene is HOOD. You do not have to be from the hood to be hood. Lisa is from the hood and really isn’t hood, but Lisa can be hood if necessary.
Kandi, with all of her bad grammar appears to be much better behaved then these other self proclaimed socialites. These chicks continue to try to pull Kandi on there team like it is West Side story and there is going to be a fight. However, Kandi remains neutral with everyone.
Lisa is obsessed with Kim. Lisa brings Kim up in every conversation.
Dwight may officially be the sixth housewife, he is on EVERY show.

I need to find the Green dress that Kandi was wearing during her confessional and the Turquoise ring she wore for the Alter Ego photo shoot. If Kandi would not have worn that plaid dress in episode 2 she could be the Fashionista of this show. Sheree appears to have lost her edge with her appearance. She is falling off.

Where is the luxury lifestyle in the Real Housewives of Atlanta

Isn’t the theme of this show about women who live extravagant lifesytles and spend an astounding amount of money?

Hmm, all I see is Sheree having a meeting with Mercedes Benz to sponsor her fashion show and asking for FREE luxury gifts for her services. I haven’t seen a Yacht, a second house, multiple vehicles or beautiful Jewelry. Sheree aspires to have a rented Maybach with a driver for a weekend!

Lisa and NeNe shopped on Rodeo drive, went to Chanel, had a lot of bags, but what did the buy???? Bravo knew these chicks had limited funds and did not even go inside the stores. Sure, some will say that exclusive stores will not allow cameras on there premisis and I thought about this, but Joe took the Real Housewives of Orange County to Jimmy Choo and shopped.

Don’t get me wrong, I Love this show, but I cannot correlate the relationship of this show with Real Housewives of New Jersey, New York or Orange County? It’s like when you were a kid and watching Sesame Street, one of these things don’t belong.

During the episode that aired tonight, Kim attacked and attempted to latch onto Kandi. Kim needs a new BFF. Last Season Kim latched onto Sheree, now they are no longer friends. Kim so desperately wants to develop a click to defend her in her madness, because all the other ladies have gainged up against her. Do I think the other wives (only two are married) treat Kim fairly, No. Do I think Kim lies, yes. Do I think Sheree lies, yes. Do I think Lisa lies, well…………probably. Do I think NeNe lies, No. NeNe speaks it and backs it up. The other chicks don’t.

During lunch, Kim ask Kandi to produce her song Tardy for the Party. Well click the switch if you want to hear the finished product.

Real Housewives of the ATL doing it King Tut style

Dwight and his speed dating asking Dude, “What is your shoe size?” Dude says, “12″ and they both smile and giggle. LMAO!
NeNe organized a King Tut Tour for all of the women and there families which turned out to be extremely nice. The cocktail hour at the Tut exhibit was delightful! I wonder who paid for it? Nene calling Kandi G-H-E-T-T-O/ H-O-O-D and that she does not mesh with the other women. HILARIOUS!!!!! Kandi’s Earrings that she had on when she went to dinner with AJ her “fiancee’”. Please tell me where I can find them! They are the “ish”. However, Sheree wasn’t the ‘ish”. Sheree was not on her A game for this show. Her hair was wack and frizzed. Sheree’s weave appeared to have been removed and she removed her hair herself in her bathroom. She looked like a stranded horse. This chick’s body wont quit, but what is up with the tranny look? Please look at this video and see what a nut Sheree’s hairstylist is and that Sheree was silly enough to go along with him/her. Sheree, Boo Boo let the hair stylist focus on your hair and not your walk! Check it out.

Kandi needs not to be happy with AJ because he gets along well with her child, but to love her self and set a good example for her daughter. If you cannot discuss your man’s profession, then you may need a new man who has a profession that can be discussed with others. A few less baby Mama’s wouldn’t hurt either. Kandi baby, Mama knows best!

If you enjoy the lake, and a little more temperate climate than that of the “sand blast” heat of the beach, you might try renting a home on an area lake for vacation this year. It also couples nicely with the idea of a lake home purchase at some point in your life. Why not rent different homes on different parts of the lake to get a feel for where you want to be on your favorite lake as well as a feel for various neighborhood communities? It is a nice way to “try it before you buy it.”

VacationRentalBuyOwner has been a favorite Web site of mine for many years now. After doing a text search for Lake Hartwell I find 112 rental homes on Hartwell. There are 84 properites on Lake Keowee for weekly lease. In Georgia, on Lake Oconee you will find 124 properties for lease, some near or in the famed Reynolds Plantation. I have never tried this site out before, but GreatRentals.com seem to have a nice layout on their site. On Lake Hartwell the numbers are far fewer, in terms of the number of lake homes for rent, but I do like the layout of their site. They provide option tabs to help you determine which side of the lake you might be interested in to property types (cabin, condo, cottage, house), things to do, how many each properties sleeps, and all the way down to how many bedrooms to make your search easier.

According to Trulia, “There are currently 570 resale and new homes in Hartwell on Trulia, including 29 homes in the pre-foreclosure, auction, or bank-owned stages of the foreclosure process. ” Compared to much of the nation where the average foreclosure rate is more than 45 percent, Hartwell’s rate of distressed sales is roughly 5 percent. This makes a massive difference in terms of average sales price and probably the main reason that Lake Hartwell real estate has held its head above water during the recent economic correction. Trulia goes on to say, “The average listing price for homes for sale in Hartwell GA was $381,927 for the week ending Jun 10, which represents a decrease of 2.1%, or $8,363, compared to the prior week.”

It is also to hear that overall in Oconee County, SC that foreclosure and preforeclosure activity reported is as low as it is per Trulia’s report.

So, I said I would update about how I was doing with the goals and what not. And I apologize, it’s a little late, but I digress…

I sent 16 emails to businesses
I’ve been networking online and I’ve found off-line networking spots on meetup.com.
I’ve sent a couple of queries.
Got promotional stuff ready for the Community Fellowship Festival that’s this Saturday
Blog stuff…

*Vent begins*

This week, however, was not the best when it came to getting things done. I had a headache for like three days, which I attribute to me indulging in Chinese food not taking anything before indulging in Chinese food [MSG gives me migraines, apparently]. So, of course, I didn’t really feel like doing anything. I mean, I researched a little, tried networking, but yeah.

Anyway, when I finally felt better, I didn’t know what direction I was going in. I attribute this to me not writing down my weekly goals like I usually do. It was partly because I was at my boyfriend’s place, and I was trying to coordinate moving my ish out of Athens[which took like 8 hours total- real talk], but I should have at least made goals for today and the weekend. And I will- tonight. I just feel like I had a somewhat unproductive week. Oh, well…you live and learn…blah, blah…

The good news is I got [part of] my final check early and I got a bonus- woot, woot! My things are not in Athens. AND tonight is my last overnight at the shelter; tomorrow is my last day at the thrift store!!! Super excited about that…

There you have it. I’ll have my June goals posted on Sunday, hopefully. It’s in the parking lot at Aaron’s Rental [across from Wal-Mart].

While working at the “State of Mind Music” office, I was wisked away to attend a taping of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Season 2 where Mrs. Lisa Hartwell (not the designer, but the brain child behind the brand) hosted a fashion show (where there were “Fash- ons” honey!) and after party sponsored by Closet Freak & her domestic violence foundation and a new drink Rhythm (which tastes like Kook-Aid). The event was great…..and the gift bags were even better and my girl Lisa was so fly (as always)!

I’d like to thank Jerrell Allen for the VIP access and Lisa & Edgerton Hartwell for being such a gracious hosts (that’s him in the background drinking the bottled water...it was soo hot). I’m glad I was able to attend shot out to Devo Dwight, Micheal Knight, J-Holiday, Que Parker, Ms. A.J. Johnson (hope you found something good to eat girl), NeNe & Gregory Leakes (he is a real stand up dude), and the FAM: $tacks & Dent, … Oh & I don’t want to forget Polow Da Don (it’s been a minute good to see you homie), Teyanna Taylor, Jazze Pha, & Tony Rock (who I ran into at another party). Overall….. the night was a lot of fun….. but most of all productive and that’s what it’s really all about (for me at least). I hope you all enjoy your weekend, have fun & drink responsibly.
