Social network al contrario. Come dire: se con Facebook mantieni i contatti con i tuoi amici e ne conosci pure di nuovi, con Hatebook puoi far sapere loro quanto li odi; da una parte diventi fan, dall’altra diventi hater.

E’ la nuova frontiera del web: utilizzare i social network per socializzare al contrario. Diffondere pettegolezzi, insultare liberamente e persino costruire inimicizie. Come? E’ semplice: basta fare un giro ed iscriversi a Hatebook, Snubster, I fucking hate you (che in effetti sembra la versione parodiata di MySpace almeno per quanto riguarda la grafica), Introvertster o Isolatr (in cui lo scopo è avere meno amici possibile).  L’odio è servito: la socialità si declina al negativo, sotto la protezione dell’anonimato.

E non manca neppure il “nemico” di Facebook che opera pure dentro il social network: è un’applicazione, Enemybook, che qualsiasi utente di Fb può scaricare per comunicare il proprio odio ai nemici e diventare persino amico dei nemici dei nemici.

Nirgendwo sonst erodiert die Bedeutung des Wortes Freund mehr als in sogenannten “sozialen” Netzwerken, die eigentlich kommerzielle Netzwerke sind. Während man bei Twitter von teilweise sehr schrägen Vögeln verfolgt wird, klickt man sich bei My Space, StudiVZ oder Facebook (gibt es auch schon Hatebook oder Assbook?) mal eben durch “hinzufügen” auf die Schnelle ein paar tausend “Freunde” zusammen, die letztendlich nicht mehr sind als irgendwelche Pseudonyme mit Avatarbildchen. Serdar Somuncu regt sich in seiner unnachahmlichen Art künstlich darüber auf und trifft dabei die “Vernetzungskacke” voll in die Achillesverse. Viel Spass!

P.S. Hatebook und Assbook existieren wirklich, warum wundert mich das nicht?

Yes, once in a while I get the urge to bash someone’s face in and leave that person lying in a pool of his own blood.  What I do to control the urge?  Remind myself that I’m over 21 years old and would be on my way to icky Philippine prison should I give in to the urge.  OR I just suddenly remember that I don’t possess the physical powers needed to actually accomplish the deed.

Well now there’s one more thing a malnourished netfreak like me can do. Presenting the Hatebook.  Not exactly the most original of names but it will have to do for now.

Users don’t need to register to “hate”, just enter your rantage then submit.  Of course, there are rules.  Just read them if you ever feel like using it since I’m too lazy to type it in.  Unfortunately, all entries are subject to review so it’s not as satisfying as one would like it to be.  Also, it takes a long while for entries to be published but oh well… hatred can wait.

It’s a work in progress.  Who knows, maybe someday technology would allow us to safely hate each other’s guts in real time. *sigh*

Me espanta la gente que cambia su nombre por un diminutivo a la edad de 28 años. Muchos de ellos suelen residir en las zonas más acomodadas de la capital de España.

Upravo sam video popup na hatebook-u da je sajt na prodaju. Vlasnici su ga stavili na bidovanje na nemačkom ebay sajtu. Moguće da nisu u stanju ili nemaju vremena da izguraju ideju koja je naišla na veliko interesovanje do kraja.

Nadam se samo da sajt neće otići u ruke nekog ko će zaustaviti razvoj istog

Grupica Nemaca, kojima (kao i meni) Facebook i sva prašina koja se svakodnevno diže oko njega izaziva neko neprijatno lučenje kiseline u želucu i mučninu, došla je na ideju da napravi sajt koji je totalna suprotnost Facebook-u – HATEBOOK.

Vrlo interesantno zamišljen (totalno suprotan Facebook-u), nažalost još ni približno nije završen. Naime ima previše bug-ova da bi neko proveo malo više vremena na njemu, ali možda je to i poenta – jer ako provodite više od pola sata nedeljno onda postaje drugi facebook .

Za kraj samo da vam zagolicam maštu: u hatebook-u nemate prijatelje, već neprijatelje i nepoznanike, ne postujete komentare, nego laži, možete da pripadate grupi onoga šta najviše mrzite (ne volite, hejtujete) itd ….

Just a few hours ago I was searching for the Courious Case Of Benjamin Button’s Soundtrack in one of my favourite pages (Taringa!), but after being disappointed  because of the non existing megaupload links (just rapidshare), I found a  link that caught my attention that said: I hate Facebook!

Of course,  it made me think about it. Some of the facts he exposed were valid: the lost of interest in being in contact with  people (in person) due to the each time bigger interest in being in contact with your virtual friends, the importance that  we give to abscentee presences, wall greetings or empty comunication.

But he was talking about the good things like: keep in touch with a friend who is living in china or the uncle that is traveling around the world, a way to show share a part of you to the world, or just simple fun. Additionally, he was talking about things that, at my point of view, shouldn’t be interesting him such as a theft accusation to the owner of the network.

I think that facebook has a lot of interesting things depending on the eyes that you see it with. For me, as a programmer,  it’s great the possibility of taking pictures with your webcam; as a foreigner student, it’s an exceptionally good way to know what’s happening with your family, good and non good friends.

All of us need our own space (such as this blog for me) but maybe it becomes unhealthy when you change all your in-person interactions for the electronic ones, and you start to live in a virtual world. Anyway, everybody has the right to think in a different way.

And after all of this, what about you? do you HATE FACEBOOK?

No sólo se reserva a objetos, deportes o personas, te da la oportunidad de crear clanes en los cuales publicas chismes de tus enemigos y tener lo último de sus actividades, subir imágenes o videos en tu perfil y agregarles etiquetas, al igual que en las redes sociales más populares.

Irónicamente no están permitidas prácticas como la intimidación, acoso o envío de correos no solicitados entre otros.

Hatebook: anti-social utility

I nemici dei miei nemici sono miei amici.

Se ancora non lo conoscete ora c’è Hatebook, social networking anti-Facebook, dove potete condividere con gli altri iscritti lo stesso sentimento di odio verso una persona, una situazione o addirittura verso il mondo intero!

Le funzioni e caratteristiche sono tutte quelle di un social network, ma in Hatebook tutto è “evil” : le email diventano “junk” (indesiderate), le foto e gli album “hate”, i vicini di casa sono degli “haters”, le persone pericolose dalle quali diffidare i “warnings”, gli ultimi che hanno visitato il vostro profilo sono raccolti in una “last idiots list”.
C’è anche la mappa di localizzazione “evil map”, e gli “hate points” che vi lascio immaginare in che modo aumentano.

Hehe… conosco quantomeno un paio di persone che saprebbero già come formare un Hate-Clan.

Mentre mesi fa impazzava il video “I’m getting bored of Facebook”, Dr. Evil ha deciso di andare oltre.

Hatebook è un anti-social network, in cui vieni incoraggiato a dare informazioni false e gettare nel ventilatore più fango che puoi. Puoi creare gruppi dedicati all’odio verso quello che vuoi. Puoi e devi rivelare fatti privati di chi ti sta antipatico.

La pagina in cui vedi le azioni recenti dei tuoi contatti, che su Facebook viene ipocritamente chiamata “feed”, su Hatebook ha il nome giusto: Gossip.

Mentre smanetti sul sito continui a essere insultato dal creatore dello stesso, il Dr. Evil di cui sopra.

I think people forget that their photos can be seen by everyone, and though it’s not something people should have to put up with, it’s a reality we do face. I typed “facebook porn” in Google and found LOTS of artciles including how facebook is becoming more of a attraction that porn sites to some people… you have been warned!!! Also discovered the spoof site HATEBOOK (again, it’s a spoof so don’t login)

Internet users have been warned about posting details online after a young woman found hackers had advertised her as a desperate porn star.

Becky Spraggs, 22, discovered pictures from her Facebook profile had been placed alongside explicit sex images with the message “I want to be used and abused”.

The website profile on the site FetLife said she would “do anything” to become a porn actress and invited fans to call the mobile number of her manager to “see more” of her.

A well-executed Facebook parody site called Hatebook has stepped in to provide grumpy people with a place to bitch about everything they hate.

You know those days, the ones when you’d love to have your Facebook status say “My boss is a tool!”. But since our parents and bosses are aware of and most likely connected to our social networks, many of us may be wary of venting our frustrations online using standard social-networking sites like Facebook, MySpace or Twitter.

Hatebook looks and functions much like a hellish version of Facebook. There is an evil twist for everything. The color scheme is red, profiles include a section called “Why I’m Better Than You!”, and members can create “Hate Albums” that consist of photos and descriptions of things they hate.

The German creators of this hater’s social network have done a very good job replicating much of Facebook’s functionality, and they have even thrown in some additional useful features. You can visually locate other members by looking for their avatars on a map via integrated Google Maps. You can also see which members have last visited particular profiles.

Too much Hatebook can be a bad thing though. Because all messages (”junkmail”) are viewable by all other users, and there are no privacy controls.

This is not the first attempt to parody or lash back at the take-themselves-too-seriously social networking websites and the general trend towards constant online interconnectedness. Some others include Isolatr, Snubster and the real-life social interaction instigator NoSo. Even Facebook is trying to laugh at itself with the launching of Enemybook and Snubster apps.

So find a place to vent your angst. It can be cathartic.
