In their first headlining tour, ‘Class of 2009,’ Billboard chart-topper Saving Abel arrives in Baltimore tomorrow (Nov. 24) night. The group is scheduled to perform at the Recher Theatre in Towson.

For one of the band’s most popular members, the performance is a reminder of his roots. Scott Bartlett, Saving Abel lead guitarist and co-founder of the alternative clothing line TATCo, is a son of Charm City.

One of the nation’s most promising new musicians, Bartlett and his band members have reached new heights in the last year. They are the first act in more than three years to have three, top five rock hits come from their debut release. The band’s debut singles” Addicted,” “18 Days,” and “Drowning (Face Down)” have delivered a massive fan base. Saving Abel’s biggest hit, “Addicted,” was a #1 rock hit, then crossed over to peak at No. 7 on Billboard’s Top 40 Airplay Chart and has sold over a million downloads.

“While I’m home, I’ll speak to the guys at my alma mater, Gilman High School, and give a guitar master class, answer Q&A and give the students insight about entering the entertainment industry,” Bartlett said recently. “After that, I plan to make visits around the city to the places that have made me who I am today. It’s always good to return back to Baltimore, where it all began for me. It’s a reminder of my rock roots and my love for music.”

On top of the rising musical career, Bartlett is also engaged in a new clothing venture. “It’s a growing brand,” Bartlett said of TAT Co. “We started out with just a few orders a month and now we’ve seen dramatic interest in the clothing line by fans of the music and by fans of quality original clothing. Nothing about my music or my clothing is cookie cutter. It’s all about making a new statement regardless of your background. TAT Co does that.”

During his time at Gilman, Bartlett built his first guitar, a “flying V”. He was also the Maryland State Bench Press Champion his senior year at the school.

What is one meant to do to old ties?

I have very many ties in my closet. Don’t get me wrong. Every man does. Some are bright, others dull. Some ties always end up in my hands and on my neck and are well worn and worn well.

Whichever way I tie them,they look great ; so much so after a great day with one close to my chest, it sometimes hurts to unwind the knot..and you put it back in the closet knowing the next experience will be even better….

Others, I wonder how I got them in the first place.

And yet I still have the urge to get more ties. Each time I see a new one in a new design. I stop and wonder, hmmm…

Of course I have to consider, does it suit my suite of suits? Does it go with me,does it make everything brighter or tones it down. ( Depending on the circumstances, both are important, you know?)

Sometimes its just spontaneous, like” boom”: I saw one like this in GQ or with that CEO chap,so I find myself tied up in a tie that deep inside,I really dint want round me.

My problem is why we, as men are always seeking out new ties when we have a closetful of old ones.
When will they ever be enough?I don’t suppose they are meant to burnt?

It cost so much to get some one would rather keep them as decorative pieces.Some we keep of course, due to sentimental value, the memory attached to it,the thoughts that are tied to it.
And sometimes we do let go of the sentimental yackidyshmackidy. But the tie remains.

So the question still stands;
What am I to do to my old ties?

Cet argent sert donc à financer :

-  lieux d’accueil,

-  permanences dans les hôpitaux,

- permanences dans les prisons,

-  groupes de parole,

-  activités de soutien à l’observance des traitements

-  activités de soutien à l’insertion, etc.

En effet, le VIH/sida est au croisement des sujets parmi les plus sensibles de notre société : la maladie, la mort, la sexualité, l’amour. Cette situation en fait la maladie la plus taboue qui soit.

Le sida reste une maladie dont on ne guérit pas, dont les traitements à vie font vieillir le corps prématurément et dont on continue à mourir.

C’est également une « maladie sociale » générant peur, exclusion et discrimination. Le silence autour du sida fait le lit de l’épidémie. Il renvoie les personnes touchées à la honte, au déni et a l’invisibilité. Il favorise les prises de risques.

I met VNP Ninetails a little more than a year ago.  Her zest for designing shows in her highly detailed items.  She is a very talented artist and a great friend as well.  I own several of her designs and skins and they are all among my favorites.  My favorite outfit from Vassnia is ‘The Broken Link’  outfit, it is a mafia style ensemble with a sexy twist and my favorite gown from Vassnia is ‘Latina’, it’s uber seductive and unlike anything else I’ve found in Second Life.  I sat down with VNP for a little one on one so that you all can get to know her a bit better.

Lucy: What brought you to SL?

VNP: My husband watched a TV program about it and decided to try it, I thought it was ridiculous and was reluctant to open an account. He opened one for me and more than 2 years later here I am.

Lucy: When did you start designing, and did you design before SL?

VNP: I started designing 2 months after I entered SL, I had no idea you could work here and I love art in RL, I paint oil on canvas as a hobby and I work doing cosmetic dentistry, I used to make clothes for myself and for my dolls too when I had free time.

Lucy: Why did you start designing?

VNP: It was natural to start looking at clothes, and try to make my own. I never thought about making a business out of it, but my friends kept telling me I should.  I listened to them.

Lucy: What would you say is your favorite design? Why?

VNP: My favorite design is always the latest one because it has all the experience after making the others, and each one represents my feelings, emotions, and my mood.

Lucy: What was the first thing you designed and do you still have it in your store?

VNP: Yes, it was Sensual Dreams, and it is a freebie now.

Lucy: Do you feel you are successful?  How do you measure success?

VNP: I am, of course, because I love what I do.  Whether I make enough money or not, I do this with a passion I love to feel inside. Then it makes me happy and happiness is always success for me.

Lucy: How do you feel when you see your pieces on a runway or out in SL?

VNP:  I smile, sometimes I feel nervous because people are looking at the things that came out from my imagination or inspired from very personal moments, so it feels like I stand out, but that’s just me freaking out. I have to deal with it.

Lucy: What are your long-term goals as a designer?

VNP: I want to fill my sim with stuff, improve my store, improve my skins, and improve everything all the time. I hope LL keeps supporting this way of creating and sharing ideas with people around the world.

Lucy: What else do you like to do when you aren’t designing?

VNP: Walking, exercising, dancing, playing with my 3 year old son, watching movies and having sex (ok you can delete the last one, LOL)

Latina Dress and Vita Bella skin

Today I have the great honor to presen you a new release of Inga Winds Clothing.
The “Night Fae in Peach”

This outfit is really cute and comes with many different options. Lemme start with the Fae it self.

I chose the short skirt for this look cause, I wanted to have a cute sweet fae a little bit like a fairy. The outfit contains the great  flapping wings and a sweet magic wand. As a plus Inga added a big silver moon to pose in to get the real fae feeling. The shoes you can see at all 3 styles come with the outfit.
Up next I will tell you some about the gown version. The set conatins also a long skirt version that gives you a very classy touch. I matched it with the aerial soft feather boa to give the whole style a very high class touch. The boa is part of the set too!
The 3rd possibility is a very sweet playfully one. Short pants who give a little lingerie like touch.
But we can take a closer look at the great detailed accessoires to see them better, as we know that exactly this detailes are made with love by Inga Winds.

The long skirt has a very nice “belt” roll that leads over the hips. This is a nice ability to smooth the break between a prim skirt and the top without haveing a bad angle!
The short skirt as many little ruffles and fist perfectly round your upper legs.
For a better view i included a close up of the magic wand;-)
Take a look at the sweet ruffles for the short pants option..aren’t they amazing? They give the panty style a very playfully maybe a light vintage touch and it would be a great outfit for a pinup shoot i guess
The shoes i have as the last close up are included in the set as i mentioned before.

To continue my spotlight on 3636 Hair as i promised i would like to start with Tokyoska

This hairstyle has some very nice detailes to stay apart from all the other “updos” and classy hairstyles. It is a high style that let you look way bigger as you are and i would prefer to wear that to very big gowns. I recieved the colors black, brown, grey and white. That are for me the best colors to match it with nearly everything. Only one sweet curl covers the ear so that you have much space for a great pair of earrings. The fore head is nice covered not to show a too high fore head what is a great option for the theme if you wear some like medival gowns.
Up next we have one of my personal favourites – the Vega style:

This is one of the styles tht i totally love and i never saw such before. Great big round prims are on the hair who look like different sized buns. The bangs are not plain they have sweet parts with little space beween each other and give the bangs a totally real look. For this hair you have all the 8 great colors who are auburn, black, blond, brown, caramel, golden blong, platinum and red. The ears are not covered also but for this i would prefer little earrings not to get the view off that great hairstyle.

Another long but ponytail hairstyle is the Whulas:

This hair totally surpirsed me. Normally i don’t wear long ponytails often casue they always stick in the back of the body if you try to pose or simply run your AO. But not with Whulas! The style itself is very small and shows a lot of your fore head and ears. But take a look at the ponytail! It is high on the head and a not gives the falling hair space to the back…fantastic!!! so you can wear a ponytail that not always sticks in your shoulder or back! Thank you dianny!!!!

Last but not least for the review I have silvia for you.

Silvia looks close to Afrodita…but only for the head part it self. After the great braid part that lays tight round the head the hair go down to the shoulders in a wild but straight way. The neds tickle your shoulders but not sticking in them. Overall a nice half long style that i can see with a great casual jeans based outfit mybe with a touch of the 70s style

As i steped in the 3636 Mainstore last time I was nearly not to belive what i saw there. A great chistmas tree with lots of sweet presents under it…the child in me did wake up and i made my way to. And you will not belive…dianny put one great hair in all 8 colors under the tree!!!

I made this list in a period of my life lacking inspiration, so I had to create my own… The past year and a couple months have been nothing but inspiration from all sides, so I haven’t really felt the need to look at it or dream of far-away lands and exotic experiences.  For some reason, I felt compelled to open the document this morning.  Although my current job is inspiration-ful, re-reading it managed to inject even more inspiration into my much-needed daily dose.  

So, without further ado, here is my list, in it’s totality:

1. Do Tai Chi in a park in China

2. Attend a wedding, in India

3. Become fluent in a third foreign language, preferably Arabic

4. Ride a camel in Egypt

5. Take a cooking class in Tuscany

6. Publish a book

7. Own a Vespa (lavender) 

8. Visit the Temple of Baalbek

9. Ride a gondola in Venice

10. Set foot on all the continents, Antarctica pending….

11. Go on an African safari

12. Sail the Greek isles

13. Eat sashimi in Japan

14. Get my nose re-pierced

*Sadly, since I first wrote this list in the fall of 2006, Christian Lacroix has stopped making haute couture.  But just because something you had wished for can’t come to pass in exactly the way you had hoped, it doesn’t mean another, even more interesting experience can’t replace it.  Usually it ends up even better.

If you don’t already have one, create your own list!  It’s fun!  And if nothing else, a great way to spend a couple minutes with your head in the clouds.  A worthy activity at any time.

Today i have again the great honor to show you one of the fabulous designs of Violator made by soraya Vaher.

To day I recieved a very special one. The “Passage to India” here shown in peacock/orange version in this blog. It is available in 2 more colors. This one is a very aerial piece of high fashion art. The clothing parts only cover what they have to. You will be a sexy but very very classy in a top styled way.

The clothing it self, is made with so much love to the details and colors.
The top covers the chest but gives an awsome view on the shoulders. Nice twirls climbing up your chest to your neck as the would caress you.
The skirt part is dominated by the peackock look. But it is not a fully closed plain skirt..no! It shows much of your well shaped long legs and make them to a totally sexy eyecatcher…
The primparts are another masterpice done by soraya Vaher. Tentacles which we all now from her nearly as a “trademark”, are combined with peacock textured floating “wings”. If you walk they follow totally your movement and give you an awsome fantastic look.
Anyways where you will be…a party, a shooting, a runways show…this is an outift that puts you in the center!!!

I could not choose which color should be shown..so I decided to show you all the great colors (default, orange, red, green, blue, fuxia, purple and violet) Black and grey is possible too but if i had include them the pics would be so little you can’t see anything *winks* Colors are not the only thing you can change…Texture, shine, glow, bright and scale are also changable by the script!

This version is close to the first one but has different basic texture and the great tentacles for whoch we all love Violator. The features are the same so i tried to do the picture in a close look so that you can see the little but important differences!
