“Takers” (“Mitspieler”) ist ein Film der im nächsten Jahr im April in die Kinos kommen soll. Das Ensemble des Films kann sich sehen lassen, obwohl der Prügelknabe Chris Brown mitspielt, neben ihm sind noch Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen, Matt Dillon und Tip “T.I.” Harris zu sehen.

Der veröffentlichte Trailer bietet das, was man von so einem Film erwartet: Action, Mädels, coole Sprüche und lockere Typen, die es mit der Gesetzestreue nicht so genau nehmen.

Die offizielle Homepage wurde nun online gestellt, ist aber noch sehr wenig darauf verfügbar.

La sortie prévue en 2011 de Neuromancien, adaptation cinématographique de l’ouvrage de William Gibson, dans la droite lignée des Blade Runner, Johnny Mnemonic et autres Matrix, devraient réjouir les amateurs de science-fiction.

Le roman publié en 1984 fut le premier du genre à poser le décor d’un univers futuriste régi par des nouvelles technologies omnipotentes qui gangrènent et dirigent l’humanité. Dans cet environnement hostile et impersonnel où les hommes ne sont plus vraiment des hommes, Case, un pirate informatique des plus doués, met au service des machines les facultés de son cerveau, branché en permanence à un ordinateur, à pénétrer le “cyberespace” une  gigantesque matrice virtuelle de données, pour y dérober des informations.

Neuromancien signifie littéralement "sorcier du cerveau".

Mais lorsqu’au cours d’une de ses missions il décide de doubler le « système», celui-ci lui injecte une toxine qui provoque des dégâts neurologiques fatals et le prive de ses capacités de braqueur de haut-vol. En marge de la « société», il se retrouve alors impliqué dans des affaires cybernétiques dangereuses et périlleuses et croise sur son chemin toute sorte de créatures inquiétantes comme les Intelligences Artificielles aux pouvoirs terrifiants. Entre violence, corruption et perversion, le livre parcourt les thèmes récurrents de ce qui va bientôt devenir le cyberpunk. Il en devient même la bible.

La communauté cyberpunk attend avec impatience la sortie du film.

El capítulo de Friends en donde Ross hace una lista de las 5 mujeres famosas con las que se puede acostar, es demasiado chistoso. Se supone que si una de la lista aparece en algún momento el tiene el “permiso” de su novia (en ese momento Rachel) para poder acostarse con esa famosa. Lo más gracioso es que aparece en la cafetería Isabella Rossellini, una de las candidatas, pero ya había plastificado su tarjeta y al final no la había puesto.

David Rice (Hayden Christensen) has the ability to transport himself from place to place in a matter of seconds, due to a genetic anomaly. His mother left him when he was 5 years old, and he did not have the best relationship with his father. When was still in High School, one day he transported himself away and ended up going to New York. In order to pay rent he started to rob banks and continued to do this. He did not realise that he was not the one person to have the ability to transport from place to place and that they are known as Jumper’s but not only that, he entered a war between jumper’s and people set out to kill them.

When David meets Griffin (Jamie Bell) everything about the war is revealed, and how he has been battling against it for years. David has an alternative motive that being a girl, Millie (Rachel Bilson). He was pretty much in love with her at school and did not forget about her as the years went by. As he ends up putting her into a lot of danger, by taking her to Italy. David eventually finds his mother (Diane Lane) and finds out that she kills jumper’s which is the reason for her leaving him when he was 5. She would give him a head start. Which was pretty sad as he always pined for his mother wanting to see her.

I can remember when this movie came out and kind of wanting to go and see it, but just never got round to it. Then it did not really seem to get the best reviews or anything and I can pretty much understand why really. It had a pretty good idea and everything but something was missing and it was really lacking because of that. I think more explanation about the war would have been better and helped have a background knowledge of the whole Jumper thing.

The main thinking point and things to discuss that could come from this film would have to be where would you transport yourself to, if you could go anywhere in the world in a matter of seconds? Would you travel to be with someone? A friend? A member of your family? Or would you travel to see different places in the world? It would be a fantastic gift to be able to have.

Overall, I thought the idea for this film was pretty good. But it was really lacking something. I see Jumper 2 has been announced but nothing is set in stone of it yet.

With time on her hands, a need to occupy herself until 11:59PM on Nov. 19 and an apathy for work that develops whenever it rains here in Atlanta (which is about as often as it rains in Forks), A has been checking back in with her old friends in Newport. (For those of you who have moved beyond 2004, that’s where The OC takes place.) And in reconnecting with Ryan, Seth (sigh), Marissa and Summer, she’s discovered some crazy Twi-connections. Despite the fact that Forks is the wettest place in the continental U.S. and it never rains in Southern California.

We all know that Cam, Jackson and Nikki appeared on the show (though I stopped watching when Marissa died, so I haven’t actually seen most of those eps. Luckily, my friend Netflix will be sending them to me soon.), but the OC Connection goes much MUCH deeper.

Exhibit A: The co-executive producer of The OC is no stranger to producing for network television. She’s also no stranger to Twihards. Ladies and gentlemen of the proverbial jury, may I present Twilight Saga screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg.

Exhibit B: Death Cab for Cutie penned “Meet Me on the Equinox” to perfectly portray (that was a lot of alliteration, nice work, A!) the heartbreaking breakup (spoiler alert? meh…) of Edward and Bella. But who was the original Death Cab fan? Seth Cohen! If it wasn’t for him, dare we say Death Cab wouldn’t be the household name it is today.

Exhibit C: Ok, so this one isn’t exactly Twilight-related, but it’s connected. Both Paul Wesley and Kayla Ewell of The Vampire Diaries appeared on The OC. The fact that Paul showed up in Orange County in 2003 and is now on the Vamp Diaries 6 years later proves he may actually be 17 forever. Good casting, CW!

And finally, and in what might be the most convincing connection of all, Exhibit D: Rachel Bilson who played Summer broke up with Adam Brody who played Seth (why on earth would you break up with Seth Cohen in real life?? Seriously!) and got engaged to Hayden Christensen, whom for the record, A does not find attractive. At all. That said, he’s how she pictured Edward while reading the books. And oddly, she still pictures EC that way despite her intense sexual attraction to Rob. It’s kind of sad, really. Point being, he’s the final connection in the OC/Twilight web. It’s like 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, but without Kevin Bacon. But if you give me a few minutes, I’ll find a way to tie him in, too.

Oh! Oh! Kevin Bacon was in Footloose, which is being remade with Chace Crawford. Chace Crawford stars on Gossip Girl which was created by Josh Schwartz who created The OC! And how is that related to Twilight you ask? Umm, did you NOT just read this post?!

If you are one of those people who believe that love is ALWAYS sweet or love at first sight is possible, well… this movie is for you. This movie gives you different love stories and you kind of have a big chance to match your situation with one of those stories. I mean, you know how it is, if you’re a girl, you tend to try fitting your situation with a love story line and to make yourself believe that you’re JUST like the character.

But, unfortunately, I think the movie is not that great. I still like it but it’s not one of the best romantic/drama movie I’ve ever seen. I think there are too many stories and they are not told equally. Some stories are longer than the others. For example, Orly Bloom’s love story is definitely too short. The Shia LaBeouf’s one is kind of confusing. I mean what is he? A ghost? or Was he just an image from the past? Maybe it’s my lack of understanding about abstract ideas in movies, but I think I’d still appreciate some more explanation.

Good thing about the movie?

I like Hayden Christensen, he looks like a real New Yorker… In fact, he looks like people that I see on the street every time I go to NYC.

I like the story about Bradley Cooper — I think it’s kind of realistic that people meet each other at a bar and then have “intimate” relationship… I thought “hey…many people do that all the time.” Plus, Cooper’s just too hot to be ignored.

I LOVE the story about the old couple. I LOVE how they argue all the time; how the wife always reminds the husband to lift his feet when he walks. They are the cutest couple in the movie!!!

And I think it’s good that this movie does not involve Times Square or Liberty Statue or the Rockefeller’s ice ring because those stuff would be a bummer. Well, it’s about New Yorkers and I suppose New Yorkers don’t go to where the tourists go. =)

Overall, this movie is good but not too great.

Could this crap actually happen?

While undergoing a heart transplant, Clay (Hayden Christensen) experiences “anesthetic awareness,” a condition that allows him to see and feel everything that’s happening to him but leaves him paralyzed and unable to do anything about it. From his unique and painful vantage point, Clay learns troubling truths about his young wife (Jessica Alba) as she struggles with her own demons.

When I actually watched this film I was expecting to be laughing my ass off at some of the cheesiest moments in cinema ever, but I was very surprised and ultimately absorbed.

First, I’m going to start on the bad stuff. Now I’m no doctor and don’t really care or understand about the body and health and everything like that, but this film is one of the biggest inaccuracies about health there has ever been. There a lot of improper uses of anesthetic procedures in this that just made me turn my head and wonder.

The premise is actually very interesting and original, but after awhile it starts to turn into a murder mystery, then out of nowhere it turns out that Hayden Christensen has an out of body experience like Swayze from Ghost. This is where this movie takes the turn for the worst and it starts to be just a normal clue-found murder mystery. Also, in many of these mind-bending psychological films there are usually very deep and touching messages, by the end. However, in Awake there isn’t really a message other than being rich is pretty cool.

I felt myself very attached to this film by the end however. I realized to myself that this is strictly a suspense and not supposed to be all that accurate. There are a lot of really interesting twist and turns that actually make this film less dumb and more interesting.

Hayden Christiensen actually as bad as he is as an actor, does a pretty ok job in this but he could’ve done a lot better. I feel like a lot of his moments were forced and not emotional enough to create a very believable character. The supporting cast does well by the end and actually do good jobs mostly Lena Olin, who plays the mother, who creates a character filled with grief of a past that she is ashamed of, and she creates a character by the end we sympathize with.

Consensus: I feel like this film could’ve been a whole lot better than it actually was, but features some great suspense to a film that just doesn’t have the message that could’ve saved this film.

Okay so I am biased but I will report what Chris Brown is doing too cause Lawd Knows those two probably gonna hook up after the five years are up. Nothing like a Restraining Order to make a relationship seem meant to be..So with that said, he’s starring in a new movie with Paul Walker (hottie) Matt Dillon,TI (anotha Hottie) Hayden Christensen, and others called Takers. He has also vowed to never speak on his biggest mistake again. To which I say..yea that might be a good idea cause when u open your mouth you insert your foot. Hey we all do.

Yes says the MarketSaw site most known for their AVATAR news. The site says they’ve been told by a trusted source that discussions to create a new STAR WARS trilogy in 3D are going on at the ranch.

They also say George Lucas will not be directing this time around and only producing as he did with Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The site gives Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola as potential directors.

Blake Lively

She starred as Bridget in ever-so popular The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 1&2
“Girlfriend” in New York, I Love You. She starred along side big names such as Bradley Cooper, Shia LaBeouf, Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom, Hayden Christensen, Christina Ricci, and Rachel Bilson.
Also as Monica in Accepted, which stars Jonah Hill and Justin Long.

Leighton Meester

Leighton has had a lot of  TV exposure, with parts in shows such as Entourage, CSI: Miami, House, Shark, Numb3rs, 8 Simple Rules, 24, 7th Heaven, and Law & Order. On the movie side of it all, she hasn’t been in anything too popular. Date Night, slated to release in 2010, is supposed to be hilarious, after all it does star funnies such as Steve Carrell and Tina Fey.

Penn Badgley

He stars in the new movie The Stepfather, which is doing pretty good at the box-office, right? He also had a bit in John Tucker Must Die along side Brittany Snow and Ashanti. He also has TV experience on Will & Grace, What I Like About You, and The Young and The Restless.

Chace Crawford

Off the top of my head I can’t think of anything he has starred in, so I reached out to my dear friend IMDB.com for info.
He lent his voice to Family Guy and Robot Chicken in 2008/2009. He is also playing the lead in Footloose, out in 2010.

Taylor Momsen

She’s probably best known as Cindy Lou Who in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. She was also in We Were Soldiers which also starred Mel Gibson and Keri Russell.

Ed Westwick

I am fairly sure Gossip Girl is his first “big” acting gig. He was in Californication for an episode in 2009. Also, he played Randy in S. Darko, which I refuse to see. BUT, he is starring at Heathcliff in 2010’s Wuthering Heights.

So, which cast member do you think is landing the best gigs? My vote goes to Blake Lively, or Leighton Meester. Although Ed Westwick’s part in Wuthering Heights is sure to put him on the map, as well as Chace Crawford’s part in Footloose.
