The singer-turned-producer and actor Harbhajan Mann (Ranjha) and the lovely Neeru Bajwa (Heer) were among the crew members present at the promotion of the movie, which hit the theatres on Friday November 13. Harbhajan, who started his career with the Punjabi song ‘Chithiye Ni Chithiye’ shot to limelight with his Punjabi pop song ‘Gallan Goriyan’, is totally dedicated in promoting Punjabi cinema which remained in doldrums after it was hit hard during terrorism.

According to him, this is for the first time that Heer Ranjha would be brought on big screen in Punjabi language while earlier it was made in Hindi language only. Co-produced by Mann, the film is directed by Harjeet Singh and Kshitij Chauhan.

Although he got a number of offers from Bollywood to join Hindi film industry, he refused. “I would not join Bollywood, in any case. I have taken the responsibility of reviving and promoting Punjabi film industry,” he said. Stressing on quality Punjabi films based on strong themes, he said at present there were only a few quality producers and directors.

Talking about his experience of recreating the rich Punjabi folklore, he said they had researched a lot before starting this project; a story written by Waarish Shah and made it entertaining also. He said the most difficult part of the movie was to create the scenes based on that period. He said they worked out different locations after interacting with people. event planner

He pointed out that the people were forgetting the old folklores. After making the album based on rich love folklore, Mirza-Sahiba, it was his dream to make period films. That’s how came the idea of producing Heer Ranjha, he said adding that he read the Punjabi literature for at least a year.

About the raising of different issues concerning Punjab through his films, Harbhajan said it was very satisfying when he received a number of letters from his audience who shun the path of drug addiction and choose to live a normal life.

Achtung! In Berlin überschlagen sich die Ereignisse! Die Generalmobilmachung wird zwingend angeordnet!

Alle Mitglieder der United Anarchist und der angegliederten Wundervollen Hacker werden aufgefordert, sich am 16. August 2009, um 4 Uhr in der Frühe, am S-Bahnhof Lichterfelde-West zusammenzurotten (der M 11 und die S-Bahn fahren die ganze Nacht)! Oberster Heerführer der anarchistischen Streitkräfte bin selbstverständlich ich, Pätus Bremske. Außerdem ist das ganze eine Übung für die Bundestagswahl, falls die Sozen, die Grünen und die DDR-Kommunisten doch gewinnen.
Nachfolgend noch die Kriegserklärung, die schon raus ist. Ich selbst versuche noch einige Stunden Schlaf zu bekommen, bevor die erste Attacke auf das APPD-Parteibüro beginnt!

Welcome readers to my blog, I would like to be the first one to share this with you which characters have this year’s Star Parivaar; I used to note all this information but wasn’t aware how to share it with people and so this is how got to blogging.

I’ll try to bring to you the reviews of movies and serials in the manner, what I observe or like in the serial; i know many of you’ll must be aware of the winners but i’ll let you know about the entire function and the various nominations…………and I could only hope that you’ll like it.

Coming back to Star Parivaar awards, the Red Carpet was as usual gr8 with Mohit and Aditi hosting them with sharing the backstage excitement with us…….

The Awards…the opening act included artists like Ragini, Ranveer, Mohan, Bhakti, Vishambharnath, Rajshri, Dadi, (serial names), etc…..

The first round hosts were Ragini (Parul) and Sadhna (Sara); and the earliest award announced was….

v     Favourite Buzurg for which the nominations were:

• Nani          from                Sapna Babul ka…Bidaai
• Dadi          from                Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
• Kashi         from                Hamari Devrani

Next section, was two funny acts former being as a milk man (doodhwala) steps on to the stage and shares his feelings about his favourite characters; and Mona Singh depicting Kiran ki Kachori to solve a few cases……….

Next, Sadhna (Sara) was joined on-stage by her on-screen husband Alekh (Angad) to announce the second round of awards with calling Vishambharnath (Avinash Wadhvan) and Kuku Narang (Kawaljeet) on stage to present the following awards:

v     Yaadgaar pal- Fiction ( scenes not artists) – nominations were:

• Sapna Babul ka…Bidaai
• KDMHMD
• Hamari Devrani
• Raja ki aayegi Baraat

And this award was won by the team of Sapna Babul ka…Bidaai;

v     Yaadgaar pal- Non-Fiction ( scenes formreality shows) – nominations were:

• Voice of India 2

Then Came award for-

And this act gave way to next section of awards to be presented by Shlok (Puneet) and Malti(Ashita) from Sapna Babul ka…Bidaai for:

v     Favourite Bhai – nominations were:

v     Rajan Shahi – the maker of two most populart serials of Indian television  nowadays, that is, Sapna Babul ka…Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

v     Kiran Bedi for being the fair judge of serial Aapki Kachhari….Kiran ke sath

Next set of awards was presented by Arjun Rampal, that of –

v     Favourite Naya Sadasya (Female) – nominations were:

• Akshara           from                Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

And Rani (Anjali) on the songs ‘Guzarish’ from the movie ‘Gajini’, on ‘Mahi’ from Raaz-2 …….which could only mean that now it was time to give away the award for fav yogya jodi presented by the same couple -

After this, we saw the sweetest performance by Mohan and Bhakti of Hamari Devrani, on title song of movie ‘kisna’ (Bhakti looked cute!!!) ………..followed by an attention-grabbing act from Shaleen and Daljeet- the winners of Nach Baliye 4…….

..…..which lead to the next category of awards of judge and pratiyogi, that is,and they were presented by Prem(Harshad Chopra) and Heer(Aditi Gupta):

v     Favourite judge – nominations were:

• Shreya                                from    Chote Ustaad
• Farah khan                        from    Nach Baliye 4
• Farah Khan                       from    Jo jeeta wahi Superstar

And after this was the most anticipated performances of the three known jodis of Star Plus today, thts, Sadhna (Sara) & Alekh (Angad), Ranvir (Kinshuk) & Ragini (Parul), and the sweetest Naitik (Karan) and Akshara (Hina)on the song “Marjani”from Billu Barber……….and surely they left everyone amazed with their stunning and sizzling act……..

This made the way for the final set of awards of pati, patni and jodi and for this on-stage were called Lata Sabarwal and Sanjeev Sethi, who are not only onscreen but also off-screen couple (as said by them on the Red Carpet….);

v     Favourite Pati – nominations were:

• Alekh                    from                Sapna Babul ka…Bidaai

Lastly, i would just like to say that i’ve just tried to share this award function with people who might have missed it, coz it was really an evening full of excitement ……

I was debating with myself whether to translate the track above or not, but then decided not to because all meaning is lost in translation. Its an amazing rendition of part of an epic poem by the 18th Century Sufi Mystic Waris Shah in the Punjabi language. The epic is called Heer-Ranjha and on the surface it is a love story but it has deep esoteric meaning about man’s relation with the divine Beloved.

Punjabi is often considered quite a coarse language but this poem is anything but. Sure, it has an earthy quality to the language but this adds to its allure and indicates passion rather than coarseness. The rich metaphors are difficult to translate which is why I leave it for you to enjoy.

The singer is Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan who has been classically trained and comes from a musical family, the patron of which used to be the Mughal Emperor Akbar. I like his vocals because he is a specialist of mellismatic singing (singing one syllable in a number of notes). Mellismatic singing used to be practised in secret religious rites in the Ancient world and used to send people into an altered state. This is very much the case with Qawaalli, and I have personally witnessed people going into a state of ‘haal’ whilst listening to qawalli because of the mixture of meaning and mellismatic singing.

A contemporary of Waris Shah was Bulleh Shah, who was known to have mastered his ego, and famously said that dogs were superior to himself because of their loyalty to their master.

Heres some ‘kalaam’ of Bulleh Shah for you to enjoy. Again, it uses the metaphor of Ranjha and is untranslatable. Happy listening!

Der Abfall im Titel hat leider gleich zwei Bedeutungen. Die eine kommt dem Wort Verfall im Sinne des Absinkens gleich. Das andere bezeichnet schlicht Müll.
Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass ich mehr herumkomme in dieser schönen Welt, als in den Lebensjahren davor.
Vielleicht werde ich langsam reif und alt und es fällt mir einfach auf (Stichwort: schlechte Jugend).
Vielleicht aber ist es wirklich so, und das Leben eines Mülleimers wird immer sinnfreier.

Mich regt es in letzter Zeit tierisch auf, wie absolut egoistisch der allergrößte Großteil meiner Umgebung mit Müll umgeht. Vom Kollegen bis zum unbekannten Mitmenschen. Jeder schmeißt seinen Müll dorthin, wo er gerade anfällt. Lässt Flaschen dort stehen, wo sie getrunken wurden. Räumt nicht weg, was er nicht verursacht haben könnte.

Gut, ich kann verstehen wenn der Beutel voller Windeln und Benutzter Gummihandschuhe liegen bleibt, und nur von den Leuten weggeräumt wird, die es müssen.
Aber was einfach gar nicht geht, ist, wenn ich eine leere Flasche aus dem Getränkeautomaten zurück zum Rückgabeautomaten bringe, und derweil zwei andere ebenfalls leere Flaschen die auf dem Tisch stehen, dort belasse. Ich meine, der Mehraufwand ist derart gering, dass es schon aus ist.
Jeden Morgen wenn ich den Aufenthaltsraum der Zivildienstleistenden an meiner Dienststelle sehe, kommts mir halb hoch. SubWay-Tüten, halb aufgegessene BürgerBurger, zerrissene Servietten auf dem Boden, Flaschen aus Automaten und Privatbedarf auf den Tischen, Besteck aus der Hauseigenen Küche benutzt und nicht in den Geschirrspüler gebracht.
Alles Dinge, die quasi keine Zeit kosten, aber einiges toller machen.

Gut, raus aus der Arbeit. Auf dem zu Fuß gegangenem Heimweg schlagen mir weitere Tüten, zerdepperte Flaschen und Zigarettenschachteln ohne Ende entgegen. Nur gut, dass ich weiß, dass die Straßenfeger ihre Arbeit eigentlich recht gut machen. Somit kann ich beherzt gegen alle Mitmenschen hetzen. Das geht echt gar nicht. Ob man in der Innenstadt ist, oder etwas weiter draußen, ist völlig egal. Der nächste Mülleimer ist ausnahmslos NIE mehr als fünf bis zehn Gehminuten entfernt. Wer das nicht aushält, der soll bitte daheim bleiben und Messie werden.

Herrgott nochmal räumts doch euer Zeug weg, so dass nicht immer nur ich der Depp für alles bin, den das nervt und der die Flaschen alle wegbringt. Ich tus gerne. Mein eigenes Zeug sowieso. Warum macht das nicht jeder? Faulheit ist bei der geringen Arbeit kein Grund. Das ist nur Egoismus und das Vertrauen auf ein Heer von Putzfrauen und Straßenfegern. Und das gibt es so einfach nicht. Diese kleine Partisanentruppe stützt sich auf das eigentliche Heer von Leuten, die ihren Müll in dafür vorgesehene Sammelpunkte bringen.
Und das sind wir alle selbst.

Jaja, das Militär. Ein Hort der guten Erziehung und noblen Ausdrucksweise, wo der Respekt vor den Mitmenschen noch groß geschrieben wird. Wo Zwangsarbeit leistende (nennen wir es ruhig beim Namen – ob berechtigt oder nicht) junge Männer sich nicht einmal hygienischen Standards der ersten Welt entsprechend waschen können, und ohnehin schon mit mangelnder körperlicher Fähigkeit bzw Krankheit Geschlagene auch noch dafür beschimpft werden. Dessen Sicherheitsstandards zu Verätzungen führen. Das glorreiche österreichische Bundesheer hat sich die “Null des Tages” verdient – Gratulation! (Übrigens soll dies keinen Rekruten, ehemaligen Rekruten, oder die wenigen zivilisierten Menschen, die  hauptberuflich dort sind, treffen. Mir geht es ausschließlich um jene hauptberuflichen Kotzbrocken, die dort offenbar das System – insbesondere bei der Ausbildung – sind.)

Hier einige Schmankerln (für Deutsche: amüsante Anekdoten bzw Zitate) der Beschwerdekommission, die alle 2008 vorgefallen sind. (Der Originalartikel des Standard findet sich hier, die Schmankerln habe ich mittels copy&paste übernommen.)

- Ein Verkehrsunfall eines Heereskraftfahrzeuges aufgrund überhöhter Geschwindigkeit und rücksichtslosen Fahrverhaltens des Lenkers. Erschwerend kam hinzu, dass auf der Ladefläche des Puch G in einem offenen Behälter Kalk mitgeführt wurde. Beim Unfall erlitten zwei Rekruten Verätzungen an den Augen durch den Kalk.

- Ein Unteroffizier bezeichnete Sport-, Marsch- und Laufbefreite generell als “schwul”, “warm” und “luschenhaft”. Beim Abtransport der marschbefreiten Soldaten mit dem Heereskraftfahrzeug wurde ihnen das Wort “Schwuchteln” nachgerufen.

- Ein tödlicher Verkehrsunfall mit einem Schützenpanzer. Der eingeteilte Panzerkommandant besaß nur die Qualifikation zum Bedienen der Fernmeldegeräteausstattung eines Schützenpanzers. Der unerfahrene Panzerfahrer selbst wies nur eine geringe Fahrpraxis auf (insgesamt 130 Kilometer). Der Kommandant wurde beim Unfall getötet.

- Ein Zugskommandant bezeichnete Rekruten als “Gummihunde”, “Klosettbienen”, “zu blöd” bzw. “zu dumm” und stellte deren Lernfähigkeit durch das Herausstreichen der höheren Lernfähigkeit von Regenwürmern infrage.

- Um die “Merkfähigkeit” von Rekruten zu erhöhen, befahl ein Gruppenkommandant selbst bei Kleinigkeiten häufig, Liegestütze durchzuführen.

- Um Druck aufzubauen verwendete ein Ausbildner Aussagen wie “Falls irgendwer einen Fehler macht, prügle ich ihn außi, die Sau und spuck ihn an!”

- Um einen Rekruten im Rahmen der Basisausbildung auf seine Verpflichtung zur Abnahme eines um den Hals getragenen Lederbandes hinzuweisen, hielt ihm der Gruppenkommandant ein nicht geöffnetes Klappmesser an den Hals.

- Stark abgenutzte und zum Teil desolate Sanitäreinrichtungen führten in Verbindung mit zu wenig Duschen und zu wenig warmen Wasser dazu, dass die betroffenen Soldaten die notwendige Körperpflege nur mangelhaft durchführen konnten.

- Bei einem Rekruten wurde die erforderliche Kontrolle der Schilddrüsenhormone nicht durchgeführt und die Versorgung mit dem täglich notwendigen Medikament nicht sichergestellt.

- Vier Rekruten erhielten vom Truppenarzt aufgrund von Schlafstörungen militärmedizinische Einschränkungen. Der Zugskommandant drohte den Rekruten den Entzug der Heimschläferbewilligung an, wenn es nicht bald zu einer “Gesundung” kommen sollte.

Entries are displayed in Avalon Town at Ars Lunga SIM and open for voting by SL residents.

ist zu den letzten beiden Tagen zu sagen: Mann wie is das geil das ich daheim schlafen kann Statt um 6 mit den obligatorischem TAGWACHE aus dem Bett geschrieen zu werden, wache ich jetzt gemütlich zu Musik auf, bleib noch 10 Minuten liegen, mach ma auf gemütlich an Kaffee, geh g´schmeidig duschen und verlasse gegen dreiviertel 6 die Wohnung  und finde eine viertel Stunde später auch einen Parkplatz in der Nähe der Kaserne!! Wie geil ist das denn?

Am Dienstag war mal wieder Vormittägliches Laufen angesagt. Also eine Wienerberg Runde. Diesmal nur nicht mit laufen allein. Nein auch mit einem lustigen Spiel. In 2 Gruppen wurde gegeneinander angetreten. Jeder musste einen 100m Sprint absolvieren, dann 10 Liegestütz, dann wieder zurück sprinten. Danach dann Sprint, 15 Kniebeugen, Sprint, und als letztes Sprint, Elefant, Sprint. Elefant? JA Elefant! So mit Hand auf nase und Rüssel und so und dann 10 Mal schnell im Kreis drehen. Wie die darauffolgenden “Sprints” ausgesehen haben kann man sich denken Nicht nur einer nahm Kontakt zu den Büschen am Wegesrand auf. Mir blieb das GsD erspart

Heute war nach dem gestrigen St. Patricks Day zwar der Kopf nur auf Halbmast und die Augenlider etwas schwerer nach nur 3 1/2 Stunden Schlaf, aber jaja… selbst Schuld.

Das heutige “Highlight” war eigentlich nur die erste Fertigstellung der Wochenpläne. Sonst war da nicht sooo viel los. Ach ja: Brauche mehr iPhone Spiele . Dauernd nur Schach gegen meinen alt GWD kanns auch nicht sein

Das ging ja schnell! 6 Wochen sind wie im Flug vergangen. Und jetzt wird das spannendste sein was es zu Mittag zum Essen gibt
Gestern waren wir nochmal Fußballspielen und danach gabs eine letzte (?) Waffenübung.
Heute steht nur noch Blutspenden am Programm dann wars das wieder für die Woche!

Und zwar für den Job nach der Grundausbildung. Nach diesen ersten 6 Wochen werden wir ja alle für gewisse Tätigkeiten eingeteilt. Nun ja und da bin ich für den sogenannten S3 Schreiber (was auch immer das heißen mag) eingeteilt worden weil ich ja sooooo brav bin Tja und dafür werden immer 3 Leute “gecastet” und der beste bekommt ihn dann. Und so wies ausschaut bin das ich. Soviel ich bisher mitbekommen hab werd ich da in ein Programm die diversen Dienstpläne die da in so einer Kaserne anfallen einklopfen, sie den diversen Vorgesetzten zeigen und bestätigen lassen um sie dann aufzuhängen. Mein wohl zukünftiger Vorgesetzter meinte das ich da auch viele Dinge mitbekommen werde die nicht weiterverbreitet werden dürfen. Also Geheimhaltepflicht und so… Spannend… Aber dafür gibts da angeblich immer viel zu tun also wird ma ned fad werden.

Sonst war nur ein bischen Exerzieren, Waffen und Schußdienst und praktische Wachausbildung am Plan. UND wir wurden früher ausgelassen als geplant! 16:15 statt 20:00!

Its my cousins shaadi soon, so typically as desi’s we have the responsibility of providing the entertainment, which typically means doing a dance or ten! Yes I have to prepare some dances in order to impress the daadi’s and the naani’s, it is going to be a long night!

Anyway I thought I would be clever and bust some moves in the kitchen. My flats kitchen faces the courtyard so anyone can see us and we can spy on anyone else, which is pretty cool when you’re bored reckless.

Anyhow, there I am listening to ‘heer’ and doing my moves which me and Niagra have named ‘The Big Bird and The Little Bird’ and we had some amusing results. After a short while into the movings I was eventually into my rhythm but then someone sends me a text.

It was no other then the trusted coursemate who lives at the far corner block! Yes the embarrassment! She saw me dancing from her kitchen and I was too busy enjoying myself that I didn’t even notice! I got the text and was like ‘OMG.’ On a normal day she bloody well can’t see me and all of a sudden the day I decide to unleash the desiness I am found out…the horror.

So to counter attack my browness, what did I do? I used a word which I don’t use and is too posh for my dictionary. The word in question being…MORTIFIED?!

Like who uses that word anymore?! ARGH! I know, im just an embarrassment, but atleast I provide the entertainings haha
