I love how provocative the outfits are….this is Beyoncé on fire…and we already know Lady Gaga likes to literally set the stage on fire.

Na de 1-2 overwinning op Club Brugge staat Germinal Beerschot knap derde in de Jupiler Pro League. Het was de eerste thuisnederlaag voor Brugge dit seizoen. Het was ook de eerste keer sinds de fusie van Germinal en Beerschot dat ze konden winnen op het veld van een van de grote drie: Club Brugge, Standard of Anderlecht. De kranten zijn dan ook lyrisch over de nieuwe trainer. Sinds Jos Daerden het heft overnam van Aimé Antheunis behaalde de club immers 24 op 30. Jos Daerden weet echter dat dit succes vergankelijk is. Wanneer het slechter gaat, zal hij ook gewoon weer afgekraakt worden.

Ik wil dan ook kritiek geven op de manier waarop men in de media bericht over trainers. Als voorbeeld zullen we kijken naar de vorige en huidige trainer van Germinal Beerschot. Toen vorig seizoen Aimé Antheunis werd binnengehaald en hij de ploeg bijna direct wegloodste van een degradatieplaats, werd hij ook de hemel in geprezen door de kranten. Toen het in het begin van dit seizoen wat slechter liep, werd hij verguisd. Ook Jos Daerden heeft al kennis gemaakt met de beide kanten van deze medaille. Hij was vroeger ook al even actief als T1 van “de ratten” maar was toen niet zo succesvol.

Ik vind dat de pers wel wat genuanceerder zou mogen berichten over voetbalcoaches. De ene dag schrijven ze iemand de hemel in om hem de volgende dag volledig kapot te maken. Deze trend in de media zorgt er volgens mij ook voor dat clubs veel sneller alles op de trainer gaan steken wanneer het wat minder loopt. Dit had onlangs nog nare gevolgen voor Ratko Svilar die tot voor kort trainer was bij R Antwerp FC. Na enkele zwakke prestaties van zijn ploeg werd hij door fans bekogeld met bier. Dit zal volgens mij sneller gebeuren wanneer je de weken daarvoor in de kranten leest dat Svilar er niets van bakt.

ps i am going to move my studio over like 3 spaces, within the same studio warehouse of fabulousness, Switchyard, and i will post updates about that as it happens. so far i’ve just been organizing a little, and packing up small things into the only boxes i have. it’s only like a 20 foot move, but i still need some of that packing magic to happen so it’ll go smoothly.

Tyler Perry must be uber successful now, because that is the only time you get lawsuits filed against you claiming copyright infringement and other such claims of fraud, abuse, and misrepresentation.

Earlier this month, Tyler decided to answer claims of coonery, launched by Spike Lee against Tyler’s work, that were never discussed between the two directors in private, or the many years that Tyler performed the plays that are the subject of his movies,which is just jealousy on the part of Spike, but a sign of Tyler’s success.

He recently donated a million dollars to the NAACP,http://www.afro.com/tabId/551/itemId/5398/Director-Tyler-Perry-Makes-Largest-Individual-Dona.aspx , making it the largest single donation to the organization from an individual.

He is truly reaching back and supporting our communities, as well as hiring a multitude of black talent , in front of, and behind the cameras. It was what we hope that all of our black celebrities would do for the audience that supports their product, and should be celebrated rather than torn down.

Today, TMZ.com is reporting that a lawsuit over copyright infringement has been lodged against Tyler Perry.

Tyler Perry used too much of the goodness of Jesus in his movie, “Madea Goes to Jail,” at least according to a new federal lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

The suit, filed by the personal representative of deceased gospel singer/songwriter Bertha James, claims Perry lifted an entire verse from a song James wrote in 1950 — “When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus.”

The suit claims Perry pilfered the verse and used it in “Madea” — specifically, “incorporating the entire Chorus in a monologue delivered by the main character in ‘Madea” referencing her deliverance from a jail sentence and leniency for repetitive criminal conduct, in a staged court proceeding presided over by ‘Judge Mabeline.’”

Bertha’s estate, which is also suing Lionsgate Entertainment, wants unspecified damages for copyright infringement.

I have fought tirelessly to protect and maintain our current copyright laws, as well as to strengthen them in order for future generations of family  to benefit off of the exploitation of our artistic creations.

I feel that in life, most artist never attain financial security from their work, so I stand on the fact that the inherited value of ones art that is gained after death, is the financial gain that we, as artist must protect for future generations of our family, in perpetuity.

The downside of that , are nefarious lawsuits such as this one, that appear to be an attempt to loosely tie in a phrase of words, into an infringement case.The standard of substantial similarity is clear, and any competent attorney could connect the dots of what is actually a protected element in a creation, and what is not, quite easily, before going to court.

In this case, it is a phrase from a song, that was not performed in the movie, but Madea may have said…”Prasise God”…in the movies.

This case will not meet that standard, and the launching of the case is whimsical at best.It will be dismissed summarily, which means that it will be thrown out of court, mark my words.

It appears to be a bid for public relations, but probably more like a sad attempt to extort money from Mr Perry, and to sully his pristine public image.

Stay strong  Tyler, the more successful you get, the more idiots will creep out of the woodwork to try to get at your wallet, no matter how good you are to our people.

Tyler Perry is the producer, along with Oprah Winfrey, for the new movie that is gaining Oscar buzz,”Precious”,that is in theaters now. Run out to see it and support Tyler against this ridiculous lawsuit.

Today’s suggestion is about supporting the ‘Buy Nothing Day’ initiative.  Buy Nothing Day is usually held at the end of November. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of our world’s dwindling resources and our preoccupation with unnecessary things.

I like the sound of this day and will try and support it, as well as being more aware of what I buy and why.

Ik voel een haastige tik op mijn schouder en draai me geïrriteerd om. Ik kijk met mijn neus in mijn fluweel zacht oranje rode muts. ” Mijnheer, u heeft uw muts laten vallen.” Ik word overvallen door hevige mutsstress. Ik weiger nog te ademen, mijn hoofd slaat al kanten uit. In al mijn paniek vergeet ik de vinder te bedanken. Gelukkig weet ik nog net op tijd een fotootje van hem te maken nog voor hij in de anonimiteit van Antwerpen-Centraal verdwijnt. Bovenaan links de trap, bruine vest, grijs haar.

Mocht u hem herkennen, knuffel hem te pletter. Hij is mijn held . Omring hem met bloemenkransen en sleur hem op het podium. Kniel voor hem en bovenal bezorg me zijn adres. Hij heeft meer dan recht op zijn deel van de vondst. Er ligt hier een lapje van mijn fluweelzachte muts op hem te wachten. Alleen zijn adres mankeert nog op de enveloppe.

JLo falls onstage...then pops up and keeps it moving

Last night,Dick Clark and ABC television hosted the annual American Music Awards, where all kind of crazy and cool happenings went on,and Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert still stood out.

I like it how every year some new act feels the need to shock and push the limits of the public morals to the breaking point, and this year the winner for that category is Adam Lambert.

Adam,the runner-up for last seasons American Idol competition,decided to out do Katy Perry who kissed a girl, or at least had a hit record about it, by kissing a guy on stage.

And, as if that was not enough to get his point across, he then grabbed a male dancer, and had him kiss,…or do something like that, to his crotch. Many guys have done this on stage before,except with women.

I think the best one was that awards show on Spike TV hosted by Jamie Foxx,when he grabbed Halle Berry’s nice behind and laid a good kiss on her…remember that.

…Oh yeah…as usual,like clockwork…Lady Gaga got down!…she is the most interesting performer out there currently, and whenever she performs…I simply can not take my eyes off of her,because of her performances.

She has way more concept than the rest of her fellow performers,and I can tell she is having a big influence on others stage shows. Good going Gaga….

Yesterday I spent the day with my three little cousins aka “My Little Monsters”. These sweet boys are the light of my life. I know that when they tell me they love me its real.

My silly little boys have no idea what kind of evil there is in the world. They do not have to worry about predators. The only thing that they worry about is missing an episode of SpongeBob Square pants. They are little, precious and innocent.

Last night as I was putting them to bed, they asked me to stay in their room until they went to sleep. I did because I like them to feel safe. As I watched them drift off into dreamland, I started feeling sad. I just looked at those precious little babies as they slept peacefully and tears started to fall from my eyes. When I look at those boys, I see that they are so helpless and small.

 I realized how safe they are and how unsafe I actually was during my childhood.

My littlest cousin is turning three in a few weeks, and it has been bothering me because one of my parts is three. It is that I just picture a three year old as something much bigger and stronger than he is. When I look at him, I still see a baby. He still likes to be held, rocked and comforted.

When I see my littlest insiders, I do not see them as children, because they are not children. I never got to do childlike things. I had to do grown up things from a very young age. Baby-like things never existed. I never had the chance to be a child. In addition, I do not get a second chance to redo childhood. It is over, done, history.

However, when I look at my little cousins, I see three sweet innocent boys who are safe from abuse. They just look up to me with their big brown eyes and I just want to hold them and keep them safe forever.

I always think and wonder how anyone could hurt a child…

The Oprah Winfrey Show, currently syndicated in 145 countries, has transformed the star into a cultural phenomenon.

The introduction of Oprah’s Book Club helped authors whose novels were selected become bestsellers overnight, and Winfrey’s support for US President Barack Obama was seen as crucial to his presidential election campaign.

Winfrey’s empire also includes a magazine, books and, from 2011, a cable TV network.

OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network is a joint venture between Winfrey and Discovery Communications and is set to replace the Discovery Health Channel in more than 70 million US homes.

Als Thierry Henry gestern Abend mit seinem Handspiel das WM-Ticket für Frankfreich löste, kamen in mir sofort Erinnerungen an das Spiel vom Effzeh auf Schalke 1998 auf. Da es die 11Freunde hier auch noch einmal in gleichem Zusammenhang hervorholen, möchte ich dies auch noch einmal tun.

Bis heute bin ich davon überzeugt das dieses Handspiel vom Schalker Held den ersten Abstieg besiegelt hat! Ebenfalls bis heute war es ein mich persönlich prägendes Spiel. Mit damals 16 war ich das erste Mal alleine im Gästeblock, während meine Eltern sich irgendwo im alten Parkstadion auf Ihre Sitzplätze niederließen.

Ich erinnere mich noch an den nächsten Auftritt im Parkstadion nach dem ersten Aufstieg. Wir mussten uns damals ein Banner mit den Worten “Heldentaten vergisst man nie” ansehen…

Thank You God that the worst of our ordeal seems to have passed.  It is still difficult, but at least some things have stabilized, creating a certain amount of relief and rest.  Looking back, I realize that You have carried me intimately, step by step, through the whole thing, and are even still carrying me.  It reminds me of the Footprints poem, where the author was wondering where You were during some of the hardest times in his life and found that he had been carried.

But I know where You were!  You have promised never to leave me, and You were with me every minute.   I could not have survived it outside of Your arms, and certainly would not have experienced the rest, peace, comfort, energy, and intimacy that have resulted from living in Your arms.

Thank You, my Love, for carrying me.
