As many of you treehugger types will know there is a major summit happening in Copenhagen that is dealing with climate change and the reduction of carbon emissions.

Amongst the delegates and VIP’s in attendance will be Leonardo DiCaprio, Daryl Hannah, Helena Christensen, Prince Charles and even our very own Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Here’s the thing.

1200 limo’s have already been ordered and the airport is expecting 140 extra private jets during the conference.

Guess how many ecofriendly cars are in action during the summit.

 A whole 5 hybrid vehicles will be used.

Thats some bonafide hypocracy if you ask me hey.

“On a normal day, Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen’s biggest limousine company, says her firm has twelve vehicles on the road. During the “summit to save the world”, which opens here tomorrow, she will have 200. Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42.” [telegraph]

Enjoy how they especially singled out the French  there.

The 11 day conference is estimated to produce 41 000 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. I have no idea how much that is but it sounds like a sh*t load.

Not cool.

Helena, 41 next month, said: “I have no problems with showing my body.”

The Danish beauty posed nude earlier this year and starred in risqué lingerie ads.

She told Elle magazine: “I love the female shape.

“It’s crazy – you can have movie posters of men with machine guns. But God forbid you show nipples!”

Danish supermodel Helena Christensen says she’s more than happy to show off her body.

The 40-year-old insists that she doesn’t understand people’s objection to nude female pictures.

“I have no problems with showing my body. I love the female shape. It’’s crazy – you can have movie posters with men with machine guns but oh, God forbid you show nipples. That never ceases to amaze me. It’’s flabbergasting. So I have no problems with it. But I”m Danish. Everyone’’s naked on the beaches,” the Telegraph quoted her as telling Elle mag.

However, she was quick to add that she did not want to shock her granny with her nude pics.

She said: “I wanted the nudity to be in that normal, subtle way because my grandmother is still alive and I want to keep her for another 15 years. I don”t want her to get a shock.”

Talking about her contemporary supermodels like Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, she said: “They all had interesting personalities and were fun. They were versatile in their way of posing and expressing themselves. They had a certain depth to them that made you interested in more than just the facade.”

She added that the ‘’supermodel” label is “silly and cartoonish, but to be a part of that whole group of girls – at the end of the day, I was there. I did it. I am a million experiences richer.”
