Erina Mano mostra que está bem ativa ultimamente, a jovem cantora solo do Hello! Project de apenas 18 anos, anda lançando uma onda de singles. Só neste ano, Erina Mano já lançou quatro singles, sendo que seu último foi “Kono Mune no Tokimeki wo” no final de setembro.

Bom, como foi falado anteriormente no blog nesse post aqui, Erina Mano estrelará no dorama “Hanbun ESPer” da Fuji TV 2, interpretando uma ésper (alguém com poderes psíquicos), o dorama está previsto para estreiar em janeiro do ano que vem.

Agora, a garotinha se prepara para o lançamento de mais um single, previsto para o dia 25 de novembro, intitulado “Love & Peace = Paradise“.

A faixa título está sendo usada como tema de encerramento de um programa de TV da Hello Kitty chamado “Kitty’s Paradise Peace!”, exibido pela TV Tokyo. I was fighting making my way through Times Square when I spotted this old Asian lady dressed as a Hello Kitty just outside the giant M&M store (I love that place!) and I promptly walked over to her to take a picture ’cause I have this friend of mine who’s obsess with Hello Kitty shit stuff.

Hello Kitty or Nasty Kitty? Oh but she looked soo cute! Hahaha.

Wouldn’t you know? The woman got angry at me for asking for a picture and muttered something in her language, probably a cuss word, and gave me the cold shoulder and refuse to give me her face side, moving around to avoid me getting the picture.  Apparently she was on her break and I was interrupting her phone call (she was on her cell)…….. bitch.

If she wanted privacy, she shouldn’t be dressed like that in the middle of Time Square.

I was at Toys R Us last weekend and saw a bunch of Hello Kitty dolls, toys and kits. If you’re thinking of buying some Kitty for Christmas, Toys R Us has only a few items at least in Vancouver. I’d recommend going to a Sanrio Store, Urban Outfitters or Target. Or, if you have time, you can always order online (I love this option!!).

Grazie alle segnalazioni di un socio, abbiamo scoperto in vendita su e-bay un casco da moto sospetto: si tratta di un grazioso casco rosa marchiato Hello Kitty, prodotto in Asia.

Abbiamo controllato l’annuncio, e tra le caratteristiche del casco ci è subito balzata agli occhi la dicitura “misura universale”: in Europa non sono venduti caschi da moto con questa peculiarità. Anzi scegliere la taglia giusta di un casco è molto importante perché in caso di incidente un casco troppo grande viene scalzato via. Ecco la pagina dell’offerta sul sito e-bay con la foto del casco sospetto.

Disinteresse per l’omologazione del casco
Fra le varie domande poste dagli utenti al venditore, abbiamo riscontrato che solo uno di loro si preoccupava di chiedere informazioni circa l’omologazione del casco, e ci è sembrato piuttosto allarmante. La maggior parte degli interessati al prodotto era piuttosto curiosa di conoscere la gamma di colori disponibili per la decorazione Hello Kitty.

Incuriositi da tutte queste anomalie abbiamo deciso di acquistare il casco e verificare se avesse i requisiti necessari per garantire un adeguato grado di sicurezza. Come avevamo sospettato, il prodotto non è omologato, e quindi in Europa non può essere utilizzato come casco da moto o ciclomotore. Inoltre è di una misura molto grande. È poco probabile che possa essere adatto alla testa di una ragazzina, normale destinataria di un prodotto del genere.

Un altro campanello d’allarme ci ha confermato la cattiva qualità del prodotto: nonostante il prodotto venga da un paese asiatico, al momento dell’acquisto non ci è stato richiesto il pagamento di dazi doganali.

Scegliere prodotti sicuri: il casco Hello Kitty omologato costa poco di più
Se per altri prodotti, le offerte su e-bay possono far risparmiare molto, quando si tratta di dispositivi di sicurezza di questo genere, bisogna far attenzione alle caratteristiche di quello che si acquista.

Per chi fosse interessato a un casco con le decorazioni di Hello Kitty abbiamo verificato che sul mercato, l’originale marchiato HDM costa poco di più: si può trovare a 99 euro. Non lo abbiamo testato e non possiamo pronunciarci sulla qualità effettiva del prodotto, ma se non altro è omologato, ha una garanzia e un’azienda di riferimento. Un casco senza omologazione come quello segnalato sopra, oltre a essere inutilizzabile per legge, in caso di incidenti non ci garantisce una protezione adeguata.

Hello Kitty rings are only 1 other piece of merchandise in the world phenomenon that is this lovely cat. You can buy just about everything with the cat’s face on it, as well as fashion, jewelry, toys, and more . There are even stuff like Hello Kitty checks and Hello Kitty credit card with the Hello Kitty on it for adults. Yes, this cartoon is not just for children. Adults everywhere are also charmed by Miss Kitty White ( her official label ). That is the reason why she could be multi-million dollar a year business with no indications of declining in recognition. It seems obvious that Kitty White is here for a long time.

Most little girls love to get Hello Kitty rings as party packs. These rings are typically inexpensive and can be acquired in bulk from party shops for comparatively small cash. Party favor rings are often thick, plastic affairs, with just the face of the cat on the front. Any young girl who gets this as a favor at a party is sure to be pleased. However , there are far more expensive rings available. These are often aimed toward adults, and are frequently made of platinum or diamond. The look of the cat may be on the ring in brightly coloured enamel, or it may be engraved into the metal itself. There are plenty of ladies fans of this cartoon character, and the dearer rings are good for them.

But, If you want a more expensive Hello Kitty ring, many jewelry stores will sell them, or will custom design one for anyone. For party favor rings, Wal-Mart, Target, and most party supply stores will carry them. And, there’s the Hello Kitty store at the shopping mall. Keep in mind, a Hello Kitty ring is a fabulous means for the kitty fan to show her faithfulness to her fave cartoon character. It can be worn all the time: to school, resturant and family functions. La Navidad ya está cerca… bueno, muy muy cerca no está pero los anuncios y los adornos ya colocados en algunas ciudades nos hacen pensar que nos tenemos que dar mucha prisa a dejarnos los dineritos en los comercios . En fin, como cada año…

El año pasado hablé en este blog de la figurita más típica en los belenes catalanes: el caganer, personaje que representa a un pagés (campesino) catalán mientras está defecando, no por una falta de respeto a Dios, Jesús o la Virgen, sino como antiguo símbolo de la fertilidad (al hacer caca, fertiliza la tierra), siendo un buen augurio para el año que está por venir. En su blog, Nora también explicó la historia de esta figurita para sus lectores.

Una amiga japonesa me pidió si le podía conseguir un caganer y un tió. Le dije que no había problema, así que estos días me he puesto a buscar venta de caganers online y he dado con una simpática página: caganer.com

En esta pagina encontramos desde las figuras de caganers tradicionales, ataviadas con su barretina, hasta caganers de personajes famosos, políticos (atentos al caganer de Obama, con su Yes, we can!), futbolistas, etc. Nadie se libra, ni siquiera Papa Nöel !! Y es que, aunque parezca lo contrario, es un gran honor el ser escogido para representar una figurita de caganer. También encontramos venta de otro personaje muy querido en las navidades catalanas: el tió.

I first discovered JustJennDesigns from Handmade Galleries.  She makes adorable, witty cards and stationary.  After checking out her website, I discovered she has a food blog filled with all sorts of goodies.  Mainly, Hello Kitty cupcakes and mochi waffles.

This Thanksgiving Day the magic in the sky will once again wow millions of spectators as beloved characters return to the balloon line-up. Featuring a star-studded list of American pop culture favorites from a friendly neighborhood super-hero to a world-famous mouse, the stars of Macy’s Parade are transformed from pencil sketches to larger-than-life forms via a sprinkling of magic from the stars at Macy’s Parade Studio.

A Ballooning Tradition
Dating back to the 1927 edition of the holiday spectacle, Macy’s giant character balloons have featured a who’s who of characters from film, television, comic strips, and cartoons. From the very first inflatable of Felix the Cat to the four new giants –Pillsbury Doughboy®, Ronald McDonald®, Sailor Mickey, and Spider-Man® – the Macy’s Parade has brought to life 157 of the most recognizable characters in history during its 83 editions.

Balloonatics
Before the giant balloons inspire awe on Parade day, they start on a drafting table at Macy’s Parade Studio. There, the Parade team of “Balloonatics” transforms a well-known character into a high-flying wonder. A pencil sketch of the character is the first step in the creation process. This concept sketch showcases the character in balloon form, taking into consideration aerodynamic, engineering and aesthetic points. Under the direction of John Piper, lead designer of Macy’s Parade Studio, the Balloonatic team takes that initial pencil sketch through a months-long process that encompasses concept, aerodynamic and aesthetic design, construction and final test flights. The building process includes creation of clay and painted models, and of course, the cutting and sealing of fabric into chambers that will produce the final balloon. Macy’s conducts the high-tech process in collaboration with aerodynamic and engineering consultants, Aerostar, who together calculate the balloon design’s aerodynamics, buoyancy, and lift. Once the balloon has been created it will undergo many tests including indoor and outdoor test flights, inflation and deflation tests and final touch-ups before taking flight on Parade day.

On Saturday, November 7th, before their official Thanksgiving Day debut, the new giant character balloons take to the sky for a final test flight at Macy’s Balloonfest. At this outdoor event, each balloon’s Pilot and Captain, and the flight management team of twelve, guide hundreds of handlers as they fly the balloon in an extreme real world setting. Once the balloons have been awarded their flight wings, they will receive a comprehensive final check-up that may include air inflation tests, cleaning and paint touch-ups before the big day.

Buzz Lightyear, the fearless Space Ranger from Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story trilogy, returns to the Parade for another trip to Herald Square and Beyond! The larger-than-life hero measures 67.7-feet long, 39.9-feet wide and 34.3-feet tall. On Thanksgiving Day, Buzz will be ready for the adventure with his jet pack guiding him down the route. From his green and purple space boots all the way up to his protective helmet, which is 17-feet in diameter, Buzz Lightyear is sure to create a big buzz for millions of Parade spectators.

DORA THE EXPLORER™

The adventure-loving, Latina heroine Dora the Explorer™ returns to the Macy’s Parade this Thanksgiving for a high-flying expedition as the Nickelodeon heroine prepares to celebrate her 10-year anniversary next year. As always, Dora will be waving ¡Hola! to the crowds on her way to 34th Street along with her trusty friends Backpack and Map. Filled with 14,250 cubic feet of helium, Dora measures 43.5-feet in length, 39-feet in width and 55-feet tall. A skilled explorer, Dora will lead her team of balloon handlers to Macy’s Herald Square, where she will be sure to exclaim, We did it! ¡Lo Hicimos! at the end of her journey.

The wonderful Whos of Whoville are back in town taking a ride down Manhattan with their giant protector, Horton the Elephant, from the movie Horton Hears A Who. Keeping his eyes firmly planted on the delicate clover protectively wrapped in his trunk, Horton will take flight once again measuring 59.8-feet long, 31.8-feet wide and 43.4-feet tall on his return Parade voyage. With toenails the size of large beach balls, and ears that could cover a large van, Horton is filled with 14,060 cubic feet of helium on Thanksgiving Day.

Kermit the Frog, the world’s most famous amphibian, takes Manhattan again in the 2009 Macy’s Parade. Charged for another electrifying trip, Pikachu, stands at 53.5-feet high, 36.9-feet wide and is 40.8-feet long, and filled with 15,000 cubic feet of helium.

The new Pillsbury Doughboy® balloon makes its Macy’s Parade debut in larger-than-life form, far outgrowing his normal 8¾-inch frame. At more than 63 times his traditional size, the Doughboy balloon will measure 53.7-feet in length, 34.4-feet in width and will be 46.4-feet tall. This Doughboy will rise to the occasion filled with 12,280 cubic feet of helium.

Ronald McDonald® first made his Macy’s Parade debut in 1966, holding a bouquet of party balloons that had taken him on a Thanksgiving joy ride. In 2001, a second Ronald McDonald balloon made its Parade debut flying down the streets of Manhattan bringing joy and laughter to millions. This year, Ronald is in a playful mood and has strapped on the world’s largest pair of ice skates for a fun-filled holiday activity. Sailing aboard an anchor that is approximately four times the size of an actual cruise ship anchor, Mickey measures 48.1-feet long, 33.6-feet wide and 60.9-feet tall. Sailor Mickey will be filled with 14,750 cubic feet of helium on his maiden voyage on Thanksgiving Day.

A giant ogre from Far Far Away will be returning to the sky over Manhattan once again this Thanksgiving. The truly larger-than-life Shrek® will take a break from life in his beloved swamp to help welcome in the holiday season. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! On Thanksgiving Day SpongeBob SquarePants™ will take a break from the Krusty Krab and leave Bikini Bottom to soak up the sights, sounds and fun of the Big Apple. Celebrating his 10th Anniversary this year, SpongeBob returns to the Parade for his fifth flight. Macy’s Parade’s first-ever square balloon will absorb more than 16,200 cubic feet of helium to fly down the route. Dressed in his signature white shirt, red tie and brown square pants, SpongeBob stands at 62-feet high, 38-feet wide and 28-feet long. Although it may appear square the SpongeBob SquarePants balloon isn’t square at all, he is actually a single chamber sphere, intricately made square-shaped by more than 600 internal tie-lines.

Returning to the line-up and celebrating her 35th Anniversary this year is Sanrio’s Supercute Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty will take flight dressed in her Supercute superhero outfit, complete with cape and tiara to complement her trademark red bow. A bright bouquet of balloons adds color and brings smiles to children everywhere. The Macy’s Parade Balloon Cluster returns to the line up with the biggest, brightest beach balls ever seen in New York. With a height of 25-feet and filled with 2,858 cubic feet of helium, the balloon cluster is sure to be a big holiday treat.

BIG MAN SANTA

The star of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is the big man himself – Santa Claus. To pay tribute to his star status, Macy’s Parade Studio magicians have created a fantastic new balloon depicting the cheery man himself with a rather jolly belly, this time full of helium. Big Man Santa will make his Parade debut before heading south for the winter to star in Macy’s Holiday Parade at Universal Orlando®.

CANDY CANES
Kids will scream in delight wishing they could get their hands on these sweet treats. These 20-foot tall Candy Canes are a holiday favorite on a sky-high sugar rush.

CHLOE THE HOLIDAY CLOWN
A Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade staple, Chloe the Holiday Clown returns for another trip down New York City. At 28.5-feet tall and 18-feet wide, Chloe is filled with 2,242 cubic feet of helium.

ENERGIZER BUNNY®
ENERGIZER®
America’s favorite battery-powered pink bunny returns to the Parade this year to drum up some more holiday spirit. The Energizer Bunny® balloonicle is unstoppable, taking another super cool trip down the Parade route, wearing his favorite sunglasses and 45 EEE sized flip-flops. Marching to the beat of his own drum, he’ll be the king of stocking stuffers this holiday season. With all the power that the Energizer Bunny brings to the party fun, the holiday season will keep going long after he crosses the finish line.

FRIEDA THE DACHSHUND
It’s a dog’s life for Frieda the Dachshund as she returns for another year of playing fetch along the route. At 21-feet tall and 53-feet-long, Frieda may just be the world’s largest dachshund.

GEOMETRIC BALLOONS
Icosahedrons rule! For the mathematically challenged, each of the two brand new Geometric balloons are a 20 sided polygon made up of equilateral triangles. These icosahedrons measure 16-feet in height and will be filled with 1,700 cubic feet of helium.

HAROLD THE FIREMAN
Who better to salute the city’s bravest, the men and women of the New York Fire Department, and lead the Fire Brigade Clowns down the route than that lovable character Harold the Fireman! Originally seen in the Parade of 1948, Harold is a recreation of the original balloon. At a height of 32-feet, New Yorkers can rest assured that he will keep a watchful eye over the city. Harold is supported in the air by 2,800 cubic feet of helium, which makes blowing out fires a breeze.

KIT, CHARLIE & C.J. ELF
The Gnome Balloons from the 1940s and early ‘50s have been recreated and are now Parade standards. Kit, Charlie & C.J. Elf are back for another Thanksgiving Day jaunt. At 34-feet high, 18.5-feet wide, and filled with 2,100 cubic feet of helium, these novelty balloons give a new meaning to the word “elf.”

MACY’S STARS
Macy’s is the star of the Parade as its signature five-pointed star flies high in a variety of colors and configurations. Celebrating the famed red star that guided R.H. Macy to shore during his days as a seaman, the Macy’s star still shines today.

Macy’s knows how to accessorize the holidays! From Poinsettias, Pumpkins and Snow Crystals to the Stars & Stripes, Macy’s ornament balloons add a splendid touch to the holiday palette.

Recently, DJ and sometimes Lindsay Lohan kanoodler Samantha Ronson teamed up with Supra to produce a high-top sneaker. “The shoes are a version of the brand’s Indy pair but in a new set of colors — distressed black suede with a gold detail and white sole,” wrote New York Magazine’s The Cut Fashion Blog.

According to Ronson’s Web site, she’ll have a new sneaker out late this month. ”Originally not planned for a public release, we’ve decided to drop a limited run of these hyper-colored TK’s after hearing your cries for blood. 600 pairs of each colorway will be produced,” Ronson writes.

Hello Kitty — celebrating birthday number 35 — also designed sneakers styles. “These two renowned companies have designed limited edition sneakers to honor Hello Kitty’s 35th anniversary,” said BeautyStyleWatch of HK’s collaboration with Asics. “Not only are they comfortable to wear but they are so totally hot to look at!”

And the LA Times blog writes, “When we thought Hello Kitty domination was beginning to wane, we came across these Asics sneakers and just about died and went to Hello Kitty heaven.”
Coming in Jaunary, according to Converse Shoe Store’s blog, the footwear company will release “several shoes dedicated to The Clash. Most notably is the Converse London Calling shoes which celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the album. There will also be a pair of Converse Shoes that look like a jacket with buttons and Chuck Taylors with The Clash logos.”

Parisian boutique Colette collaborated with Reebok on a redesign project. Explains excellent women’s sportswear blogger FemaleSneakerFeinds, “Reebok’s celebrating the 20th birthday of their Reebok Pump by collaborating with 20 elite shops to design their own versions of these classics. Here is Colette’s take, and I love ‘em!”
The catch: According to SuperXOfficial, “Only 30 pairs of these kicks will be produced so either catch a flight to France on November 16th (the day they drop) or check eBay on the 17th in the a.m.” We’re passed those crucial dates, but it’s still worth checking.

Katsui graduated from Central Saint Martins College after studying at Parsons The New School for Design. Yagi graduated from Doshisha University and Central Saint Martins College.
The brand, mintdesigns was launched in 2001. They have been in Tokyo Collection since ‘03 S/S. The awards they won include the Moet et Chandon New Designer’s Award in 2005. In 2007, mintdesigns garage store opened in Shibuya PARCO. They presented their collection in the 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT THIS PLAY! show. In 2008, they presented the opening show at São Paulo Fashion Week for ‘09 S/S. Both designers currently hold positions as guest professors at the Faculty of Art and Design at Osaka Seikei University. In 2009 they presented their collection at the Milano Salone TOKYO FIBER ‘09.Mint Designs turned out a dainty crop of dresses featuring details such as shimmery stripes, textured fabric and quirky graphics. One frock featured a darling print of tiny Charlie Chaplins, while another showcased circular cutouts along the sides.
