In the next 2 months you won’t have to venture far to get your hands on one of Sara’s Henna tattoos as we’ll be appearing in all the weekend fairs in the lead up to Christmas! Be it your neighbourhood fair, a school fair or a Charity bazaar, just look out for a booth bustling with kids of all ages and that well known black & white banner stand, and there we will be, ready to henna and always with a smile:) We were at the Parkview Charity Bazaar today and although I was only there for 4 hours, we had a great turnout at the stall! Check out the photos from all the October fairs here!

Over the last two years of doing henna, I’ve realized that no matter where an Indian bride liv

Over the last two years of doing henna, I’ve realized that no matter where an Indian bride lives or holds her wedding, at the end of the day her wedding will always be traditional and full of the colorful musical traditions that Indian culture is famous for. One such example was my friend’s wedding in Malaysia a few months back. With the beautiful North channel as the backdrop for her wedding mandap (a covered structure with pillars temporarily erected for the purpose of a Hindu weddings), she was every bit the true traditional Indian bride in a stunning jewel encrusted traditional ghaagra choli (traditional dress) and mehendi/henna filled hands. The henna pattern for her palms was custom designed just for her according to her taste, and the henna for the feet was improvised using the palms as inspiration & guide. The back of the hands had to be slightly rushed, so the design had more of an arabic and contemporary look.

Take a look at a few of the photos below!:)

This video is a collection of all the best henna designs I’ve done for Asian sangeets/ wedding parties and festivals. These have a variety of traditional and arabic designs ranging from very simple 5 mins patterns for sangeet parties, to half hour designs for individual festival appointments. Some designs are my original patterns, whereas others have been inspired by Asha Savla’s patterns with a touch of my own design to it.
