Piove, sono in casa convalescente e ne approfitto per dedicarmi un po’ a me stessa… a volte basta veramente poco per risollevare la propria autostima! La mia bocca è tuttora un disastro (e lo sarà ancora per un po’, almeno fino a quando non mi verranno tolti i punti), vediamo allora di depistare gli osservatori attirando l’attenzione sui miei capelli. Tutte le donne che, come me, fanno uso di tinture, phon e piastra, sanno bene che i capelli, appena usciti dalle mani del parrucchiere, appaiono bellissimi, ma, dopo qualche tempo di trattamenti casalinghi (lo shampoo fatto male perché quella mattina avevi fretta, il balsamo non lasciato in posa per un tempo sufficiente, il phon e/o la piastra troppo caldi e/o maneggiati male, il colore di base che inevitabilmente “scarica”, i colpi di sole che sbiadiscono o ingialliscono dopo qualche lavaggio) diventano brutti, secchi, stopposi, di un colore spento e triste. Ebbene, da quando feci una memorabile vacanza in Tunisia (le mie amiche che erano con me sanno bene quanti anni fa, meglio non pensarci troppo altrimenti cominciamo a sospirare) ho imparato ad apprezzare le virtù dell’henné. E’ un prodotto prodigioso, perché risolve in un colpo solo tutti i problemi che ho elencato:  nutre i capelli, li rinforza e conferisce un bellissimo riflesso ramato, che ravviva il colore e dà più luce ai colpi di sole, senza dover obbligatoriamente tornare dal parrucchiere. Per smorzare il rosso dell’henné lo mescolo con il mallo di noce, che oltre  a ravvivare i toni bruni, ha anch’esso proprietà emollienti e lucidanti. Entrambe le polveri si trovano in erboristeria o nei negozi di forniture per parrucchieri. Io procedo così. Indosso i guanti e mi copro i vestiti con idonea protezione (in mancanza della mantellina da parrucchiere, vanno benissimo i sacchi di cellophane della tintoria). In un pentolino faccio bollire un po’ d’acqua. Intanto, prendo l’henné naturale, che si presenta come una polvere verdognola, dal caratteristico odore simile a quello del fieno e, in una tazza, lo mescolo con con il mallo di noce essicato, che si presenta come una polvere ancor più fine (attenzione: maneggiare con cura perché è molto volatile) di color cioccolato scuro, mettendo, in proporzione, più mallo se voglio un colore più tendente al castano, o più henné  se voglio una sfumatura più sul rosso-rame. Aggiungo qualche cucchiaio di aceto o yogurt per conferire un giusto grado di acidità, qualche cucchiaio di olio d’oliva per nutrire le fibre capillari (ma si può aggiungere alla “pappa” anche del balsamo o della mayonese: ogni donna ha la sua ricetta) e, da ultimo, l’acqua bollente, che aggiungo a poco a poco, mescolando bene con un cucchiaio o altro strumento possibilmente non metallico, fino a ottenere la consistenza di una crema. Mentre lascio intiepidire la mistura così fatta, bagno i capelli e poi li tampono con un asciugamano per lasciarli appena umidi. A questo punto applico la pappetta, distribuendola dapprima riga per riga come fa il parrucchiere con la tintura e, da ultimo, raccogliendo la pappetta dalla tazza con le mani protette dai guanti e “impastandola”  con la massa dei capelli, che deve risultare completamente intrisa e coperta dalla pappetta. Poi fascio la testa con un “turbante” di pellicola plastificata – quella che si usa per avvolgere gli alimenti prima di metterli in frigo – e aspetto con pazienza. Anche per i tempi, così come per le dosi, non c’è una regola fissa. Come minimo, per un blando effetto riflessante, occorre tenere il miscuglio in posa per circa mezz’ora; per un risultato più intenso e duraturo, anche dal punto di vista della cura dei capelli, bisognerebbe tenere la pappetta per ore, in casi estremi applicarla la sera e (ovviamente proteggendo adeguatamente cuscino e lenzuola) tenerla in posa per tutta la notte. Io oggi l’ho tenuta per poco più di un’ora. Alla fine, shampoo, risciacquo, un buon balsamo tenuto in posa per un po’, risciacquo e asciugatura. Ed ecco a voi i miei nuovi riflessi ramati! Come dite??? Sembro Wanna Marchi??? Ma noo, è la luce del mio bagno che li fa sembrare più rossi, in realtà il colore è assai più smorzato… e non dimenticate la canzoncina “Che m’importa se sono un pelo di carota, meglio aver la testa rossa che averla tutta vuota”… e poi, fra qualche shampoo, sarà tutto come prima…

C’est à l’occasion des premières Assises de la Solidarité Internationale organisées par la Région Bretagne à Lorient en juin 2005 que j’ai rencontré Bihim Attayoub, maire d’Akoubounou. Cette commune se trouve dans le nord Niger, une région qui s’appelle l’Azawagh. J’avais alors le projet de passer plusieurs mois en Afrique (où je suis née) pour faire du bénévolat, en particulier de l’alphabétisation.

Mon projet a intéressé Bihim et en octobre 2005 je suis partie avec ma Peugeot 205 jusqu’au Niger en passant par la Mauritanie, le Mali, le Burkina Faso. J’ai séjourné 6 semaines à Akoubounou où j’ai appris à des femmes à lire et écrire. J’étais accompagnée par Madel, une très belle jeune femme touareg, et son bébé de 6 mois… qui traduisait mes propos en tamasheq. Grâce à un petit manuel fourni par Bihim j’ai pu travailler dans cette langue.

Des liens d’amitié se sont noués. En décembre 2006 l’association Les Amis de l’Azawagh a été créée, dont j’ai été jusqu’à récemment l’antenne Bretagne. Pour plus de souplesse l’association bretonne Azawagh Bretagne a été créée en novembre 2009 et basée à Pont-Scorff. Elle sera présente à tous les niveaux: local, départemental et régional. J’en suis la présidente.

I was sitting at my desk at work reading news articles, which is actually a part of my job. I read the political, sports and world news articles but try to steer clear of the fashion and entertainment ones. However, some of the are like reality television shows; I just can’t look away. One thing that manages to crop up time and time again are idiotic people who act without proper thought. This brought me to the idea of proclaiming my personal IDIOT OF THE MONTH award.
This one was hard actually. This past month, I have seen Richard Heene, the Balloon Boy’s dad, who deserves an honorable mention.
This month’s runner-up has had my fascination as the IDIOT OF MANY MONTHS for few months. I think that Jon Gosselin is a first class douche. Just when I think to myself “He just can’t get any worse”, he always does. I am sure he will do his best to be reseated in the number one spot again. He just can’t seem to screw his head on straight and get his act together. Step out of the light, Jon, step out of the light.
As award-winning as Jon is, this month belongs to Mr. Lamar Odom. The 6-foot, 10 inch, 208 pound foward for the Los Angeles Lakers has been in the league for the last decade. However, in the dating league, I am not so sure. This past month, Lamar Odom married Khloe Kardashian, the older sister and reality television co-star of Kim Kardashian. Now my views on the Kardashian trio are what they are and we will leave them buried for now. No doubt, like Jon, there will be a need for a blog on them in the future.
Let’s look at the Kardashian-Odom story simplified. Boy meets girl. Boy dates girl for thirty days. Boy marries girl. Three weeks after the ceremony, prenuptial agreement is signed. Boy agrees to terms of prenuptial agreement. Boy and girl get matching tattoos. Boy and girl live happily ever after. You think? Here is where I qualify Mr. Odom for his trophy.
While meeting, dating and marrying the love of your life is always great, a thirty day courtship should be cause for question. Yes, there is true love. Yes, love at first sight may exist. However, a little investigation of character flaws and personality analysis may take longer than that. It should when signing up for what’s supposed to be a lifetime contract. Yes, he’s a professional athlete and she is a socialite and “TV star” but where in this month did he start ignoring the flashing, bright neon sign that says GOLD DIGGER. How does she not know that he isn’t abusive? Oh well, that to the side, let’s move on to the next point.
Lamar’s next questionable move, to me, is a two-parter. First, let’s discuss prenuptial agreements in general. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn’t PRE mean BEFORE! Last I checked, that document should have been signed before the “I DO”s. I know in this day and time there are Postnuptial agreements so I will let this go. I applaud Lamar for wanting to protect his interest but…when telling his bride-to-be at the time that he wanted a prenup, the first thing she did was lawyer up. I don’t think that I would like to be married to someone that I need a contract with. It defeats the words “for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health”. However, that’s just my thinking.
The demands that Lamar Odom agreed to give Khloe in case of divorce are: $500,000 for every year the couple were married, $25,000 a month in general support, ownership of their new home (not even purchased yet), a new luxury vehicle at the end of every lease cycle, $5,000 a month for shopping, $1,000 for beauty care and lifetime courtside Lakers tickets for her family. Call me crazy but I don’t think Lamar is getting the better end of this deal. Hey, love means more than money, right?
Well, the icing on this particular cake for me are the matching tattoos that the couple got on their hands. The tattoos are very nice monograms of the couple’s initials. Odom has gotten “KO” tattooed on his hand and Kardashian received “LO” on hers. I may be a skeptic but I once again think that Lamar drew the short straw. If ( and I hope for Lamar’s sake the question never occurs) the couple parts ways, Khloe’s “LO” could serve as a derivative of her own name of course. On the other hand, Lamar’s “KO” can serve as an abbreviation for the Knock-out this marriage just may give him.
Let’s hope the loving couple remembers ” to love and to cherish” until death do them part. Let’s also hope that death is in old age. Does any one know if O.J. was invited?

Denver to beat Baltimore

Both teams are coming off a bye week and should be rested and healthy but I can see the Broncos winning this by simply playing Ravens football.  Great defence with lots of pressure and having a QB that looks after the ball.

Houston to beat Buffalo

Schaub and the Texans must be looking forward to playing the Bills even if it is in Buffalo.  Look for Schaub to continue throwing the ball a lot and for the Texans to pick up another win.

Chicago to beat Cleveland

Any team could beat the Browns at the moment and the Bears are actually ok at home it’s only away from Solider Field that Cutler loses the plot.

Dallas to beat Seattle

Romo seems to have finally found someone to replace TO pity it isn’t the man they gave up so many draft picks for.  Austin must be a certain starter on so many fantasy teams this weekend.

Dolphins to beat New York Jets

This could be a close game again but I think Henne and Brown will do enough offensively to handle the Jets good running game.  This game might be decided by who gets the most pressure off their defence.

Indianapolis to beat San Francisco

Peyton Manning will throw for 3 touchdowns at least and the 49ers will probably give up on Alex Smith again once the Colts defence start getting pressure on him.

New York Giants to beat Philadelphia

Just know sure about this game but think the Eli Manning will have enough in his locker to win this game plus he normally plays well against divisional rivals.

Detroit to beat St Louis

The Lions to win their second game of the season and for the Rams to look like a 0-16 team.  Starting to feel sorry for Steven Jackson being stuck in St Louis.

San Diego to beat Oakland

The Raiders let me down last week so they’ll probably do it again to me this week but surely Rivers and the Chargers will win this one.

Tennessee to beat Jacksonville

Yes I am taking the Titans to win this but only because the Jaguars have been so inconsistent.  Plus I just don’t think a Jeff Fisher coached team can be that bad all season.

Green Bay to beat Minnesota

The game everyone will be talking about this week.  Hopefully it will be nice and cold for Brett coming home and the Packers and Rodgers will win it.  Not sure what it is about the Vikings but for some reason I just don’t like them that much so maybe this is wishful thinking.

Arizona to beat Carolina

Warner and the Cardinals will be happy to play this poor team on national TV since it will allow them to show that they can still be Super Bowl contenders again.

New Orleans to beat Atlanta

This is turning into a must win game for the Falcons but I just think Brees and the Saints defence will be too strong for them.  Atlanta must get Michael Turner going soon or this season will be over soon.

They look scary on offence with so many weapons and nowadays they have a decent defence with Sharper looking like he will intercept a ball almost every game.  Remind me alot of the Colts on their Super Bowl run.

Manning looks good, Wayne looks good and they have a nice 1-2 running game with Addai and Brown.  Also helps the rest of the division is pants at the moment.

3. Vikings

Nothing seems wrong with this team and they would be 1 or 2 on my list is because Brett Favre has blown up late in the season for the last two years.  This team needs home field advantage in the play offs since Favre doesn’t like the cold weather.

4. Broncos

They are unbeaten, they look good on defence and Orton is winning games without doing anything fancy.  They also have a easy division and should have the division wrapped up pretty soon.

5. Giants

Yes they got spanked by the Saints but they have a banged up secondary and no every team has Drew Brees at QB.  Need to get more pressure from there front 4 so they don’t need to blitz so much.  The next 3 weeks will show for sure if they are a Super Bowl contender or not.

6. Falcons

A big win versus the Bears shows that Matt Ryan can take this team a long way.  Having Tony Gonzalez in the red zone helps alot too.

7. Patriots

Tom Brady and the offence had fun versus the Titans and now they must show they can do this week in and week out.

8. Bengals

Losing to the up and down Texans this week have seriously hurt this teams reputation and losing Odom for the season will hurt them more.

9. Steelers

They have started winning again, Mendanhall is running the ball well and Big Ben is putting up career numbers plus Troy is back on the defence.

10. Packers

There are alot of teams at 3-2 in the NFL and this is probably the one I personally wouldn’t want to be facing.  They have the potential to put up big numbers on offence and a defence that can cause some damage.

11. Cardinals

Arizona are starting to function on offence and because of their division they have a chance of getting in the play offs again with a .500 record.

12. Bears

Surely fans must be asking why they wasted so many picks on Cutler when Orton is winning with a Broncos team that doesn’t seem that much better on paper.  I think that if this team fails to make the play offs this year Lovie Smith is gone.

13. Ravens

They looked good the first 3 weeks and average the last 3 weeks.  Maybe they should have kept Stover has the kicker.  Defence needs to start playing better.

14. Eagles

One week they are destroying teams and next week they are losing to the Raiders.  This lose could come back to haunt them.

15. Cowboys

Romo needs to be more consistent and the defence needs to start making plays.

16. 49ers

Still not sure Shaun Hill is the answer at QB.  The team needed the bye week after being ripped a new one by Atlanta the other week.

17. Texans

So inconsistent it is unbelievable!  Great catch by Daniels this week though.

18. Jets

Sanchez is turing the ball over far too much for this team to win.  They are based on the old Ravens which is a strong defence and a QB who protects the ball.  They lose either of these things and they aren’t going to win games.

19. Jaguars

So inconsistent it is unbelievable!  Maurice Drew-Jones rushed well this week but will he do next week?

20. Dolphins

Henne played well versus the Jets but asking him to play like that all season may be asking too much.  Expect lots of Wildcat for the remainder of the season.

21. Chargers

Rivers and Merriman spend far too much time mouthing off at opponents rather than focusing on their own play.  Norv Turner can’t last another year in San Diego.

22. Seahawks

Just have too many holes at the moment to win on a consistent basis.

23. Bills

Trent Edwards getting hurt won’t help this team.  Actually surprised how bad this team have been this season.  Yet another coach that must go at the end of the season.

24. Panthers

Too tough a division for a team that is plainly not playing that well.

25. Raiders

Nice win this week but who really cares about this team anymore.

26. Redskins

Zorn is gone soon and so this team needs to find a head coach who is going to stay in place for 3 or more years and make a difference.  They will draft a QB with next years first round pick.

27. Lions

Out of all the teams in with only 1 win this season this is the only one that looks like it has some talent on its roster.

28. Chiefs

Yes they beat the Redskins but this isn’t something to brag about these days.

29. Browns

Cleveland don’t look any better under Mangini.

30. Titans

Jeff Fisher is too good a coach for this team to keep playing this badly.

31. Rams

They had a chance to win on Sunday bit blow it, story of their season so far.

32. Buccaneers

Man this team down right stinks.  The Pats will look forward to playing them next week in London.

Why is anyone surprised the people will do anything for publicity? It is not that knew. Stage Mothers pushed their girls and boys onto vaudeville and Broadway (Have you seen Gypsy!)

Over the years, Richard Heene has worked as a storm chaser, a handyman and contractor, and an aspiring reality TV star.

His entire family appeared on the ABC reality show “Wife Swap,” and the show’s producer said it had a show in development with the Heenes but the deal is now off. TLC also said Heene had pitched a reality show to the network months ago, but it had passed on the offer.

A video for the show currently in development shows the family counting down in unison, “3, 2, 1,” before Richard Heene pulls a cord, setting a helium air balloon into the air.

The Heenes have said the balloon was supposed to be tethered to the ground when it lifted off, and no one was supposed to be aboard. The family was videotaping as they tested the balloon, which they said was supposed to hover about 50 to 100 feet off the ground.

Falcon’s brother said he saw him inside the compartment before it took off and that’s why they thought he was in there when it launched. Heene said he had yelled at Falcon before the launch for getting inside.

“Whoa!” one of the boys exclaims. Then his father says in disbelief, “Oh, my God!” He then says to someone, “You didn’t put the tether down!” and he kicks the wood frame that had held the balloon to the ground.

A sheriff said he was pursuing criminal charges in Colorado’s “balloon boy” saga, which first sparked fear for the child, then relief that he was OK, and now an apparent hoax.

Alderden initially said there was no reason to believe the incident was a hoax. Authorities questioned the Heenes again after Falcon turned to his dad during a CNN interview Thursday night and said “you said we did this for a show” when asked why he didn’t come out of his hiding place. This is what sparked questions about this whole thing being staged as a hoax for the new show the Heene’s had in development.

Falcon conveniently got sick during two separate TV interviews later on when asked again why he hid.

Police investigators searched the home of the Henne’s Saturday night, carrying away several boxes and a computer.

The parents, Richard and Mayumi Heene, met with Larimer County investigators for most of the day Saturday afternoon answering questions about whether he perpetrated a publicity stunt when his 6 year old son Falcon vanished into the rafters of his garage while the world thought he was zooming through the sky in a flying saucer like helium balloon.

Authorities have said the family could be charged with making a false report to authorities which is a Class 3 misdemeanor, if it is determined the balloon saga was a hoax. The low level crime carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $750 fine, with a minimum sentence of a $50 fine.

The runaway balloon story is good reason to note just how useless our news media has become. The news machine is so eager for exciting pictures that it will run anything that creates a little excitement, and that means lots of stupid, or manipulated, stories can dominate a news cycle.

Why didn’t Wolf go in for the kill and ask an immediate follow-up when Falcon said that he did it for the show? “Why did he say he did it for the show?” might have popped into his mind. On the Today Show this morning, Balloon Boy threw up while being questions by Meredith:

Today’s post is a recent event, with yesterday’s top news story of Falcon Heene, aka the Balloon Boy, who was thought to have been on board some homemade balloon flying saucer UFO type device, when in reality he was hiding in a garage attic.  Not only does the saucer look hilarious, but the Heene family was featured on Wife Swap (twice!) and when they sat down as a family for a CNN interview, the interviewer asks Falcon why he didn’t answer when he heard people were looking for him, when Falcon replies with, “You said we did this for the show.”  This basically proves the whole thing was a publicity stunt, which I thought was hilarious, but also a waste of taxpayer money.  After Falcon admits what really happened, you can hear an audible fart sound coming from somewhere, too, adding to the hilarity.

Wow, there were some lopsided games this week and a surprise or two. Denver proved that they are for real. Brady may not be all the way back but McDaniels shut up his critics by taking down his old boss. I don’t think the Pats should be written off but their fans should be concerned. Dallas once again proved how mediocre they are by battling a pathetic Chiefs team to the bitter end. Yeah Romo pulled it out but he also helped put them in the hole to begin with. Miami just manhandling that Jet defense was a bit surprising as well. The Dolphins are the best at the wildcat and with two terrific runners they could actually make a run for the playoffs. If Henne can bring a deep threat they could be very dangerous. Also the Bengals winning their fourth straight was shocking, maybe that crew has grown up. Oh and Jim Zorn might want to get that resume together immediately.

Being a Buffalo sports fan, we take our fair share of lumps.  And after Sunday, last nights game felt like a beating.

Not only did we see two teams who are going in the opposite direction of the Bills, but are doing it quicker than expected.  The Dolphins go from worst to division champ to looking better than their 0-3 start.   Meanwhile the Jets tried the Favre experiment and were supposed to finish in the bottom of the division, according to many writers, with a rookie coach and quarterback.  But instead the Jets are in first even after losing to the Dolphins.

So I ask why?

Why does the rest of the division look so far ahead of the Bills?  Chad Henne in the last two weeks looks like the real deal.   And last night he looked good against a pretty solid Jets defense.  Mark Sanchez also looks good.  He’s not elite yet, but I could see him getting there.  And there is always Brady.  We may end up having  three good, quality starting QB’s  in the division and Buffalo can’t get one.

I suppose that leads me to something one of the commentators said last night.  “Miami’s two best players are it’s running backs and they are on the field at the same time.”  Or something to that effect.  I’m not a big fan of this Wildcat offensive system but I’m pretty sure we can relate to that above statement.  We could have Jackson, Lynch, and Parrish or Oman in the backfield.  If we don’t have a good QB lets try to limit when he gets to play.  What better week than this week when the Jets defense looked pretty bad against that offense last week.

Why not?

On a lighter note, why this!?  Can a jersey get any uglier!?

Vad hör man med egentligen?

Ta hänsyn till följande underbara sägelse av Imam Ali (Fred vare med honom):

I denna sägelse man kan konstatera tre olika medicinska fakta; där den som vi kommer att fokusera oss på är människans öra.

Dieses gegenseitige Kraulen machen wirklich nur Pärchen oder sehr enge Freunde. Und da man bei 6 Vögeln (3 Hähne/3 Hennen) nicht von einer Zwangsehe ausgehen muss, handelt es sich hier wohl wirklich um die wahre große Liebe.

Im übrigen, wer hier Bilder erwartet hat, wo der Hahn die Henne besteigt, den muss ich enttäuschen. So weit sind die beiden noch nicht … sie wurden anständig erzogen.

PS: Bei diesen Bildern werde ich doch etwas wehmütig. Vielleicht sollte ich mir doch ein Mädchen suchen? Aber da müssten ja vorher noch – schnipp, schnapp – die Eier ab. Und welcher Mann möchte das schon?!

For lenge siden, i en annen verden:

Jeg hadde skumle tanker i hodet. Jeg tenkte på deg, på meg og oss alle. Hele hurven. Vi var en gjeng bergogdalbaner som kjempet den samme kampen og midt inni der var de stygge tankene. De stygge, grusomme tankene om deg. Det hjalp meg ikke å trekke meg unna, unngå deg. Du var der fortsatt, pratet og smilte det forbanna smilet ditt.  Det var din skyld at jeg skulket. Du skjønte ikke en dritt, gjorde du vel?

Nei, du gjorde ikke det. Skjønte ikke hvorfor jeg var i dårlig humør, du møtte blikket mitt da en tåre nesten veltet over øyekanten. Jeg blunket febrilsk og tittet bort. Kunne ikke la deg se at jeg gråt. Du ville ikke forstå, måtte ikke forstå at det var deg det dreide seg om.

Du smilte når jeg så deg. Skjønte du det? Så du egentlig hvor lykkelig og ulykkelig jeg var på en og samme tid? Vi er som regel flinke til det. Å lese den andre. Jeg bedre enn deg, men innimellom skremmer du meg. Hvordan vi begge vet at vi skal møtes, hvordan kropper dras mot hverandre.

Og oppi dette sto altså jeg. Ante ikke hva jeg skulle gjøre, kunne gjøre. For kunne jeg egentlig gjøre noe? Sånn sett bort i fra å finne en måte å tenke på? Jeg måtte bort. Det var derfor jeg valgte å reise. Alene. Fuck verden, for verden fucker det til for meg! Eller er det jeg selv? Jeg ELSKER å knuse meg selv. Det er en syk sannhet, men dog den største sannheten.

Og du kunne vært hvem som helst. En han, en hun, en katt, et troll.
