Pouca coisa me deixa mais feliz do que presenciar a concretização merecida de alguns projetos. Principalmente quando apresentam originalidade e autenticidade, fugindo de fórmulas prontas e desgastadas. É o caso de “Volume 1″, primeiro trabalho lançado de Deco Lima e o Combinado. O combo é formado por Deco Lima (voz, letras e guitarra), Saulo Rajão ( baixo), Wallisson Liliu (percussão), Ricardo Neguim (bateria) e Sérgio Giffoni (toca –discos e programação) que é também responsável pela produção do disco, ao lado de Deco Lima.

Vi o trabalho pela primeira vez em 2006,  quando eles dividiram o palco com B Negão no Parque Municipal. O impacto inicial foi muito positivo, mas nada se compara à sensação de ouvir o CD prestando atenção nos arranjos e nas letras, em que Deco brinca com a diversidade sonora da qual bebe da fonte. O disco é uma verdadeira miscelânea de estilos, trazendo no mesmo balaio um autêntico funk soul Power, punk rock, hip-hop, samba e até o funk carioca, a exemplo da faixa “Bela Princesa”.

Uma das coisas que mais chamou minha atenção é o fato do álbum conseguir um equilíbrio que, na minha opinião, é difícil de se alcançar. Ao mesmo tempo em que ele é sofisticado, tanto na proposta musical quanto na abordagem das letras, possui grande apelo popular, não exigindo do ouvinte um conhecimento aprofundado daquelas referências sonoras. É música para dançar no fim das contas, conseguindo impressionar tanto músicos quanto leigos no assunto. E o melhor é que isso ocorreu naturalmente, não se trata de uma estratégia pra atingir um “Público Amplo”. Como o próprio Deco disse, todas as referências utilizadas no disco já fazem parte do universo cotidiano das pessoas, talvez por isso a identificação seja tão imediata. Receita simples, segundo o próprio Deco: “Funk na cara com samba embutido e distorção a gosto”. Melhor definição impossível, o samba está presente em doses homeopáticas, bem distribuías ao longo do CD. Uma das melhores faixas é a música “Fila de Banheiro”. Bonus track, lançada originalmente na coletânea “Indiada Magneto”.

A produção deste som ficou sob a responsa de Daniel Saavedra (Proa), um dos músicos mais competentes da cena local. O disco, como um todo, vai muito bem, contando com outras parcerias legais como o beat-maker DJ Roger Moore nas músicas “Fala pra mim” e “Disseram que meu rap é ½ samba” e Gabriel Guedes em o “Samba Mandou”, entre outros que somaram forças neste trampo pra lá de bacana e bom de se ouvir.

Novo vídeo da dama da Black Music norte-americana. Ego é o quinto video do mais recente álbum de Beyoncé, Sasha Fierce. Se Sasha é o Ego, o Id ou o AlterEgo de Beyoncé, não saberemos exatamente. Mas uma coisa é certa: Beyoncé ama gravar videoclipes!

Pregnant Kimora Lee with partner Djimon Hounsou

In June of last year it was reported that mogul Russell “fact finder” Simmons, had agreed to pay his ex-wife Kimora Lee, $40,000 in child support for their two daughters Aoki and Ming.

For some reason the story resurfaced again today and has forced Simmons to respond to the rumours via his blog on GlobalGrind.com

He wrote….

I am reading these stories today about how a judge ordered me to pay Kimora $40,000 a month in child support and I want to make something very clear. Nothing was ordered, it was given. My kids have a fabulous life; they are exposed to a broad range of artistic and scholastic educational programs and I’m very happy to contribute to that.  As long as I have it, they can have it. If I ever don’t have it,  I’m coming to live with them!

Then Russell’s loyal Executive Assistant decided to leave a comment under Russell’s blog post. 

She wrote… 

This is Simone, Russell’s long time Executive Assistant. I typically do not comment on every story but this one that has been circulating today needs some clarification. Yes, it is stipulated that Russell’s girls have security while with Russell..they require security all the time to give their parents piece of mind. It is not singular to just time spent with their father. Comments on Perez and other sites have some really outlandish thoughts related to this and why security is required. Basically, its safety for the girls from strangers, not from their own family. Its really outrageous that anyone would imply anything different. As far as the 40k number, well, Russell wants his girls to have the best. Isn’t that what we all want for our children? He is happy to earn money to pay for them to live a fabulous life and that is really his and Kimora’s business.

Kimora and Russell maintain a healthy relationship for the sake of their children and genuine love for each other. As far as any whispers about Djimon Hounsou and Russell’s feelings about him, there is no scandal there either. He thinks Djimon is a wonderful addition to the family and is grateful his girls have a great relationship with him.

I hope that in the future people don’t assume the worst when the truth may not be as interesting, but at least its good news. And the world needs more of that.

Go Vegetarian/Vegan for the sake of the animals and the Earth.

I want to thank both for breaking down this situation to the masses, and for putting a few things straight, because the rumours about Russell had been keeping me up at nights…..

Forget about the state of the economy, the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan, the suffering and poverty that continues to blight parts of the world. No! It was the Simmons clan who consumed my every waking thought!

Now I just hope and pray that like myself, the WORLD can now breathe a collective sigh of relief, safe in the knowledge that Russell is NOT being forced to hand over $40,000 in child support, and that he is able to expose his daughters to a broad range of artistic and scholastic educational programs. Unlike the common man……

It also warms my heart to know that Russell has a wonderful relationship with actor Djimon Hounsou.

Again.. thank you Simone and Russell for taking time out of your busy schedules to clear up the rumours.

I think we have ALL learned a valuable lesson here!

Cerca de 350 pessoas lotaram o Centro Esportivo do Centro Educacional Recriarte, em Camboriú, para assistir ao Festival de Encerramento 2008 do Núcleo de Dança Recriarte. Mais de 150 bailarinos movimentaram a noite que contou com coreografias de Jazz, Balé, Sapateado, Hip Hop, Dança de Salão, Dança de Rua e Dança Contemporânea.

Além dos alunos do Núcleo de Dança Recriarte, o festival contou com a apresentação de bailarinos dos grupos Millenium Dança de Rua, Flow Team Hi Hop e Studio de Dança Adriana Alcântara. Das 18 coreografias montadas pelo Recriatre, seis já foram premiadas em grandes festivais do Brasil como os de Joinville, Bento Gonçalves (RS) e Festival Mery Rosa, entre outros.

De acordo com a diretora artística do espetáculo, a professora de dança Roberta Prado Guimarães, o evento surpreendeu e superou as expectativas, tanto pela qualidade das apresentações como pela presença do público: “Este foi o primeiro festival que realizamos, um dos primeiros que Camboriú assistiu. Ficamos muito felizes com o apoio do público, isto certamente nos motivará a realizar outros festivais”, disse Roberta que foi homenageada pelos alunos ao fim das apresentações.

Agora o Núcleo se prepara para receber os alunos no próximo ano. As matrículas para as aulas que são abertas também para a comunidade que não estuda no Recriarte serão abertas em 1º de fevereiro de 2009.

Woohooo! The worst day of the week is ovvvveeerrr!! Hahahahaha! Firstly, Let me welcome one and all to my very first JUST FOR FUN TUESDAY!!!

So what do I do here? Basically, I just let my hair down, kick back and relax. Share some personal stuff with you. So for today, we gonna talk about music. Kim and Sherms weren’t too keen on the dude i posted on Just For Fun.

To make up. I’m gonna share some videos of the songs I’ve been listening to. What’s my music background? Nothing really… I’m not in a band, i was never in a choir, I don’t do KTV… All i have is my crappy grade 7 piano cert which was an ordeal getting… God i hated the piano…. So at the age of 13-14 (Yes, those angry days with the baggy jeans, wallet chains…. *cringe*), i picked up hop hop, and trust me, back then, a damn Dre cd costs 40 bucks and it was all about being gangsta (man i miss those days, lol)… So here’s a little NWA which i first heard while chilling at a friend’s place…

Then we have the guy who took hip hop mainstream, some claimed him the next Pac but he never did want to be associated with that kindda fame. Good thing too cause he’s a class of his own… Yeah yeah, i’m a fan of that 8 mile show, go Marshall!

That was the best concert, wish i was there… So what’s the future like? I don’t know… I appreciate the new acts like Akon and T-Pain etc… But I’m just a sentimental guy who likes to reminisce in the past…

So now you’re wondering why am i doing a blog dedicated to social media and web 2.0? Especially when i like old school hip hop?
