Assalamu Alaykum :) A lot of people say it is difficult to find cute, modest, and loose fitting clot

Assalamu Alaykum :)

A lot of people say it is difficult to find cute, modest, and loose fitting clothes to wear with a hijab, and I couldn’t agree with them more. However, once you find out where to shop and how to put an outfit together, it makes it a lot easier to be “hijabi chic.” Personally, wearing hijab gives me self-confidence and a sense of self-respect, and every person who wears hijab should feel this way! I believe wearing a hijab is a way of treating oneself as somebody who is precious and special, kind of like a treasure. It can be really simple to do all of this while wearing modest and fashionable clothes. So I’ve decided that once in a while I will be posting pictures of myself wearing some of my favorite outfits and letting you know how you can make it work for yourself :)

The trench coat:

Me in my trench :)

Alhamdulillah, I had the most amazing trip to Chicago during winter break… and I was ecstatic when my mom surprised me with this Guess trench coat she bought from Macy’s. You can pretty much buy these types of coats from almost anywhere. What I love most about long black trench coats is that it they are so modest yet fashion forward. They are also a necessity for cold-weather style :) I paired my coat with a burgundy scarf wrapped around my neck, some black wedge heels, and a cup of hot coffee (it was FREEZING!!) We walked almost a mile in the windy cold weather for sushi (Totally worth it! I had the tastiest shrimp tempura roll <3.) Alhamdulillah, I had a lot of fun and warmth walking in the streets of Chicago with my coat.

My favoriiiite shirt:

Here I am standing on a glass floor on the 103rd floor of the Sears Tower… I look all happy and excited but I was actually scared to death! It took fifteen minutes to convince me that the glass wouldn’t fall if I stood on it. But after all the tears and fears, this was probably one of my favorite moments on my trip :)

I bought this shirt right before I went to Palestine. This is absolutely my FAVORITE shirt in my closet right now. I’ll let you guys know when I buy a shirt that tops this one :) I love it so much because it is sheer and flowy and the contrast between the blues and creams are simply beautiful! The material is also really light so it is perfect for the Arizona heat. You can wear these types of shirts with denim or black jeans, heels or flats, blazers or undershirts. Because the shirt is long and loose fitting, I wore it with an undershirt and a pair of simple denim jeans! I paired it with a double ring and a vintage necklace that i purchased from Forever21 to give the outfit some spark :)
