I recently found this apparently super famous BL manga/anime called Junjou Romantica, if you couldn’t tell from the title. The novels are just bordering extreme, so far as I can tell, but hey, who doesn’t like a dash of sex in their manga? (Plenty of people I’m sure, but I’m not one of them.)

Anyway, I’ve watched the first three episodes, and I think it’s a rather heartwarming look at the homelife of three sets of lovers. You kind of want to smile when things go well for them, and it’s not too cheesy at all. It’s just the right blend, I think. Everyone says they love Nowaki and Hiroki, and I agree. They are terribly cute, but really I think I just love the voice actor for Nowaki. Shmexy-time voice. With Usami and Misaki, though, I love Usami’s jealousy when it comes to all things Misaki. PRECIOUS. For some reason, I get a huge kick out of jealousy. Maybe it’s because I wish someone would be jealous over me. Every girl secretly wants to start a fight, don’t lie. So am I so different after all?

Anyway, I have yet to buy the  manga, but I probably will some time soon. I highly recommend it to fans of the shounen-ai genre, and anyone else just looking for a good read. Just skip over the racy parts. P.S. – totally inappropriate, but this is what goes through my head – Is there really that much bodily fluid flying around? It seems to me like there’s a lot of sweating and drooling going on. Drooling is not attractive.

life is so dull these days but we’re gonna get new uniforms for some strange reason…it seems that the new deputy has decided the old ones are to boring and resemble another skool’s.

Welcome back!

After six years, Japan’s most popular pop girl group, SPEED, is back and in full effect. They started off their first nation wide tour in Nagoya City Gaisha Hall, along with 7000 fans.

They performed 25 songs, starting with their debut single from 1996, “Body and Soul” and ending with their latest single, “S.P.D.” For an encore they performed “Starting Over.”

“I’m really happy to be back on stage with the best members on an awesome stage. Thank you for the warm welcome,” said Eriko Imai.

Hiroko Shimabukuro said, “We’re so excited to see everyone and happy to be back!!”

“All of us have been taking care of ourselves and are in full health, so we’re happy to see you all”, said Takako Uehara. The oldest, Hitoe Arakaki said, “It’s been a while since we’ve all been on stage together. Thanks.”

The last time the girls were seen was in 2004 on 24 hour TV. Even though their fans are in their 20s and 30s, it’s like they never went away.

You know, its times like this, I wish I was still in Japan. I was so sad when they disbanded back in ’03 and I never got to see them. They are back now and touring and I still can’t see them.  Well hopefully they will come out with a DVD of this tour after it’s done. SPEED set the standards for all current J-Pop female groups, they should be eternally grateful to them.

I totally love Orange Range!! I forgot to write about them before, but i love most of their songs so expect more recommendations about them!

Background:

Theyre a band that was formed in Okinawa in Japan. Theyre members include 3 vocalists, Hiroki (my fave member, the all rounder), Yamato (high vocals/notes) and Ryo (low vocals/nice rap). Naoto does the guitar and Yoh does the bass and they make a great team. They used to have drummer called Katchan who left (i think cause his pinky got damaged).

Their songs lean more towards pop/rock but theyre always really good! Some of my favourites are Hana, Locomotion, Kirikirimai, Shanghai Honey (featured in the nintendo Ds game Ouendan!!) etc and ill be linking them soon

OMG GO orange range!! What i like is theyre used to live performances and any band performance is good, but especially with Orange range. I mean they play their own music and sing their own songs, thats the epitome of music
Theres been some controversy about how their songs are made, such as plagiarism from other songs, but I dont mind that, ive heard plenty of songs that i think have been copied!

Stand by U drama theme song

This is BeeTV production and the drama can only be watched through keitai (cellphones). “Sweet Room” consists of 12 episodes with 5 minutes duration for each episode^^;; There will be 4 stories with 4 different leads. That means 3 episodes (15 mins) for each story. The news article published this morning only talk mostly about Story #1 stars Narimiya Hiroki, titled “LAST LOVE” where Narimiya will have his first “serious” bed scene here XD Which means passionate kiss and nudity.

“Sweet Room” will broadcast on cellphones starting August, 1st. Story #1 “LAST LOVE” stars Narimiya Hiroki. Story #2 “BIRTHDAY” stars Mukai Osamu. Story #4 “ROOM SERVICE” stars Toyohara Kosuke. Only Story #3 has not been confirmed yet. Nothing has been revealed yet about Mukai’s episode plot or co-stars.

This past week is too tiring for me to handle.  With all those freakin quizzes, pre and post lab report sheets, lectures, readings, laboratory experiments, and acting all high-and-mighty professors, I thought I couldn’t survive all of them.. *sigh* Thanks to anime and manga especially the yaoi ones, I regained my energy and now back to business. *evil grin*

I pull an all-nighter last night to review for a supposedly quiz in our Micro Biology class and answer our pre-lab report sheet in Pharm. Chem. I didn’t even have a proper sleep so I’m praying so hard that there will be no classes (evil me..^_^). Thanks to the heavy rain, our classes are suspended. So early in the morning while researching for the answers in my pre-lab, I came across with this video.

I love how the maker of the vid made this video of Nowaki and Hiroki, my favorite pairing in Junjou Romantica. I just so love Nowaki. Moreover, the song entitled Together is really good.! I want to download the song but I don’t know where. If any of you knows, kindly inform me..^_^

Another reason to fangirl today is that Starry Heaven Scanlations is doing the scanlation of Hakushaku to Yousei manga. Yay.! Finally, a scanlating group for this manga. I just so love the anime and the characters and now I’m dying to read the manga.. Here’s the link to SHS: Hakushaku to Yousei

Well I have been lagging on coming up with a new soundtrack to do, so I decided to go with my idea of making a top list of epic tracks. One of my favorite things about making this list was seeing how varied each track was from system to system and game to series.

Top Epic Tracks

Once again I bring you an odd number of songs with my top 17 epic songs. What I wanted to display in this list is songs that have the “epic” feel to them of something huge and momentous. Not all the songs are slow with a killer chorus section or fast with some shredding guitar, instead I wanted to balance it out to show that you can find an epic song just about anywhere.
(This list is not in a necessarily particular order)

17. Swift Horse – Shadow of the Colossus – Koh Otani

The first track up is none other than “Swift Horse”, one of my all time favorite songs because it’s this heart stopping orchestral number that has the ability to charge you up no matter what. Not to mention it’s a more modern piece where a full orchestra was used instead of adding in an electric guitar (not that there’s anything wrong with that) It’s just nice to see some diversity.

16. Gang-Plank Galleon – Donkey Kong Country – David Wise
So you’ve been playing through the game, collecting bananas and listening to ambient jungle music – but now the heat is on. The final showdown with K Rool is here and suddenly flying crocodiles with capes and shred become one.

15. Ending – Dragon Spirit – Rich Kiyosi
Here we’re going to slow things down as we go to Dragon Spirit: The New Legend. This game saw an arcade release and NES port, but the arcade music stands out much stronger (as you can hear here). Not only do I find this ending simple and epic, I would easily also place it on my top endings list.

14. The Price of Freedom – Final Fantasy Crisis Core – Takeharu Ishimoto
Here’s a track late off of the Final Fantasy bandwagon, not composed by Nobuo Uematsu (or Hitoshi Sakimoto), and still kicks butt. I especially like the fact that there’s a blend of acoustic and electric guitar. It reminds me of “Regret Not” by All That Remains.

13. Lance & Red Battle Theme – Pokemon Gold & Silver – Go Ichinose, Junichi Masuda
This game seems to have faded out of the franchise now that Nintendo is up to Platinum, but Japan is soon to see a rerelease of these games dubbed “Heart & Soul”. Hopefully they make it to America because I believe that this was the best game and it easily had the best music out of the series.

12. Title (intro) – Legend of Zelda ~ Twilight Princess – Koji Kondo, Toru Minegishi, Asuka Ohta.
This song is a remake of the Zelda them with only a full chorus and towards the end a string section. There’s just something about the harmonies but I think this is one of the most epic tracks out of the soundtrack, especially as it finishes with the wolf call. I’m not sure if the SFX add to or take away from it.

11. Scars of Time – Chrono Cross – Yasunori Mitsuda
Of course I couldn’t pass up the Chrono series without at least one track and I think this one is the clear winner. The driving violins and flute make this an incredibly intense song to listen to. My favorite part is the “slow motion” break down in the middle with the strings. (You’ll hear it when you get there)

10. Fear of the Heavens – Secret of Mana – Hiroki Kikuta
No matter how many times I listen to this track it always has this powerful, haunting tone to it; with it’s echoing piano and light strings. There are some darker songs on the soundtrack, but I just don’t think they quite have this atmosphere.

9.Title Theme – After Burner III (Final Take Off) – S. S. T. Band
The Sega CD is riddled with bad games, but when it has a good game… well it’s freaking awesome, and After Burner III is one hell of a game. This is the third transformation of the original theme.

8. One Winged Angel – Final Fantasy VII – Nobuo Uematsu
Well I had to throw this track out sooner or later. Not only is it a blend of epic elements, it features multiple notorious sections. Uematsu seems to not be satisfied with using just a few epic elements such as a choru and strings… No, he’s going to throw in heavy drums, electric guitar, and the works. The best part is that Uematsu said the intro to the song was inspired by “Purple Haze”

7. Chaosium Sword – Ninja Gaiden II ~ Dark Sword of Chaos – Shitamachi Kajiya, Mayu
One again Ninja Gaiden has a team of two composers that seem to appear out of nowhere, write a rediculously epic song, and then fade back into the shadows. I can vouch for the fact that I haven’t seen them since, the song you’ll have to listen to…

6. The Cable Car – Cold Winter – Mark Willot
Now were getting into the final five and the tracks get even more heart pounding. Cold Winter is a soundtrack that I think really went under the radar, probably because it was an OK shooter for the PS2 when franchises like 007 do so well, but in any event Willot should have his day. Normally a TV/Movie composer,  Willot stepped in to blend those elements you would find in a CSI show, a Jason Borne movie, and one hell of a spy VGM OST. The piano in this is it.

5. Doomsday – Sonic 3 & Knucles – Sonic Team
Sonic the Hedgehog has always had excellent music. Even though many of the boss themes are not my favorite, they all have an epic feel to them, but this game pulls out all the stops.

4. Master Ninja Theme (Stage Version) – Ninja Gaiden – More Yamasan, B. Hasake
Well believe it or not I have three tracks from this game for you. There’s just something about this game that is timeless. The soundtrack , in my mind, is always probably going to be one of the greatest ever made. It has so many powerful tracks that were made from 4 NES sound channels, when today composer have as many as they want. This one in particular is an awesome driving ballad (that you’re going to need to make it through level 6-)

3. Premonition – Ninja Gaiden – More Yamasan, B. Hasake
This music fits the scene pretty well, in this particular spot you are forced to fight your father who is possessed by a demon mask that has been forced upon him. I think I’ve given you the general idea..

2.Fight on the Rooftops – Cold Winter – Mark Willot
We return to Cold Winter one more time to hear one of the most epic tracks of all time, particularly in modern game music. Not only is the intro chorus gripping, but when it is later blended with the percussion it’s breathtaking.

1.Seeking Truth – Ninja Gaiden – More Yamasan, B. Hasake
I’m closing this list with a track that has been a longtime favorite of mine: “Seeking Truth”. Not only does the name set the scene, but the track itself is incredibly driving for how simple it is: a basic bass line, a top guitar riff, and some percussion.

Wiiii~ Ya estoy de vuelta (si, al parecer, de momento, me ha dado fuerte con el blog, a ver cuánto me dura x_D) y os traigo la primera entrada para la nueva sección “Hot, hot, hot”, que como bien indica su nombre, espero que os altere las hormonas y logre que vuestra temperatura corporal, llegue a cifras insospechadas *_* ¿Y qué mejor manera de empezar, que con una mini recolección de paquetes? Si, habéis leído perfectamente: paquetes, paquetillos y paquetorros, no sólo los de delante, también culos hermosos, que acostumbran a ir enfundados en ajustados pantalones, que derriten cualquiera de nuestras fantasías. Y es que nuestros adorados chicos, siempre van enseñando y/o marcando (queriendo o sin querer), con tal de lograr que nuestras mandíbulas se desencajen, los poros de nuestra piel se vean colapsados por oleadas de sudores y nuestras fosas nasales, se conviertan en fuentes improvisadas.

 I recently watched almost all the episodes of  [D Bara no Yakata] TV show on youtube *-*…how can I say *-*…these are so wonderful that I wish D continues to do them forever XD…… not happening….but yeah.  The scene in the woods, I dont undrestand all of it but I think ASAGI is searching for Totoro things XD! also HIDE-ZOU behind the trees XD…what is he dooooing!!!!!

At the theme part with:  HIDE-ZOU, HIROKI and Tsunehito This bit I loved because they made HIDE-ZOU go on crazy rides which was hilarious XD, also they got some note from ASAGI ..hmm I guess it was tasks? XD …They also kept censoring HIDE-ZOU’S screaming face/After ride face which was funny XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

He meet Carcass ( greeted him in english which was hdskjdfsh *-*) and Dragonforce..hmm I’ve heard of Dragonforce before but not Carcass ;_; …Ruiza  just asked them few questions about how they “connect with audience” “music style” and all that stuff. I like the bit he gives them his guitar to illustrate some techniques with…. the kicking guitar was odd but cool  XDDDDDDDDDDD

XD When Ruiza gave him the D gifts , he said ” Thhhhhhhaaaannnnnks”  in a rather slow tone still staring at Ruiza XD I thought that was funny,although  it seemed all of the guests where Dazed by Ruiza’s beauty XD!!!!!!!!!! Yeah.. but they appreciated the gifts XD..

In episodes 1 and 2 of 「D 薔薇の館」TV show, HIDE-ZOU, HIROKI and Tsunehito visited a traditonal japanese (bakery?) shop and tasted those sweets! now they have the「D 薔薇の館」ones ;_; I realllllly want to taste one XD!

This song is so beautiful I was stunned over here, honestly Asagi’s voice is so amazing it just puts you to sleep or hyper spasm O_O if that makes sense XD!

I don’t know about the coffin and the crown..is Asagi meant to be the queen? and also the wolf in the mirror where he looks..hmm so much suspense I guess have to wait for the lyrics XD!!!!

I love the PV and there is one bit that Asagi is holding the apple then the clip shifts to his hands dropping it following himself collapsing :O I think that was cool XD

 Next is the lovely members who don’t appear in the PV until a few minutes later. well what do I say about them, their outfits are wonderful and may I just comment on how lfkjdkkjdhfhgdfk wonderful Ruiza looks (as always), I am telling you he is official Squishy and I don’t even know what that is exactly but sounds Cute LOL.

 Moving on from Ruiza  XD I am actually a little sad that there was so few clips of him, the guitar solo( which was so awesome!!!) then solo shoots and that was it. for all the members there was so little and I was looking forward to seeing more of Ruiza XD! I guess  the main focus was meant to be on Asagi since he plays a role in the PV. :)

But overall, this song was one of the best ballad songs and just loved the piano and the whole concept and allllll aaaaaaaaa…!
