Finnish band HIM have revealed via their website the tracklisting for their upcoming album titled ‘Screamworks: Love In Theory And Practice’

The tracks are as follows:

The release date for the album is yet to be announced, but promised it will be revealed in the ‘very near future’

HIM – His Infernal Majesty sind eine mehr oder weniger bekannte Gothpop-Band aus dem beschaulichen Finnland und können auf eine lange und ereignisreiche Karriere zurückblicken.

Wirklich bekannt wurden sie, als sie den Song “Join Me” veröffentlichten, auch wenn der Film, dessen Szenen im deutschen Video verwendet wurden und bei welchem der Song auch im Abspann lief, floppte.

Für die die es wissen wollen und denen Matrix zu abgedreht war:

Sehr schön gemachter Film den ich nur empfehlen kann, aber dies nur nebenbei.

Zurück zu HIM.

Mit 6 Studioalben auf dem weltweiten Markt (Best-Ofs und das erste Album, welches nur in Finnland erschien, bewusst ausgelassen) mischen sie seit 12 Jahren den Musikmarkt auf.

Ihre Musik reicht von langen und traumhaft traurigen Balladen wie “when love and death embrace” bis zu Stücken härterer Gangart wie “Soul on Fire”.

Ihre Alben haben immer einen anderen Klang, ohne dabei den Wiedererkennungswert zu verspielen.

Würde man mich nach einer Albenliste fragen würde, so würde sie wohl so aussehen:

#1 deep shadows and brilliant highlights – die beste Abwechslung und viele Klassiker

#2 Love Metal – mein erstes eigenes Album und ebenfalls sehr gut gelungen

#3 Razorblade Romance – allein “join me” und “right here in my arms” machen es zu einem Superalbum

#4 Dark Lights – relativ gut, aber man hätte mehr erwartet

#5 Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666 – für ein Debut wirklich gut aber im Vergleich zu den anderen doch eher schwach

#6 Venus Doom – ohne Worte, das ist nicht mehr HIM…

Wer also die guten Songs hören will, möge sich doch bitte Love Metal, deep shadows and brilliant highlights oder Razorblade Romance kaufen.

Die Musik ist wunderbar produziert und vor allem bei dem derzeitigen Mistwetter ist es das schönste sich bei einer HIM-CD mit seinem Wunschpartner (egal ob Beziehung oder nur….naja ihr wisst schon) unter der Decke zu verkriechen und zu kuscheln oder…naja wie gesagt, ihr wisst schon.

Sollte dann mal Liebeskummer aufkommen so passt sie eben so gut und muss nicht wie das selbstgemachte Mixtape weggefeuert werden.

Die Stimme von Sänger Ville Valo lässt einen nicht mehr so schnell los und ich persönlich fand die Band seit 1999 interessant und ab 2003 war sie als meine Lieblingsband auserkoren.

Und selbst ein Trent Reznor (gerockt werde sein Name) konnte HIM nicht ganz vertreiben.

Es ist meines Erachtens Musik für gewisse Momente.

Kein 08/15Pop der so vor sich hinblubbern kann. Nein, HIM will gewürdigt werden (“Seine Höllische Majestät” eben).

Wer HIM also nicht kennt, oder bis jetzt gemieden hat, hat nun die Möglichkeit seine Meinung zu ändern, bzw sich eine zu machen.

KAUFEN und hören.

Die CD sollte es überall für wenig Geld geben.

Für Kauffaule und Übervorsichtige sei hier noch der MyspaceAccount angepriesen.

So ich hoffe ich konnte ein weiteres Fenster im Hause der Musik für sie öffnen.

Nagas, atenção. Este post, pelo menos o início dele é uma continuação do post passado, portanto, recomendo que leiam o anterior primeiro.

Nagas e simpatizantes, eu, xandinho, através desse post, retiro tudo que eu disse no post passado sobre minha genialidade pessoal. Retiro tambem o que eu disse sobre estar entendendo o que se passa nas minhas aulas da faculdade. Porque de verdade, eu não estou entendendo porra nenhuma muita coisa. E foi muito do nada, porque até sexta-feira na última aula pelo o que eu me lembro eu não estava tão perdido nas matérias.

O que acontece é que eu cheguei na primeira aula de hoje, atrasado como sempre [porém hoje foi culpa do velho que perdeu a hora, não me julguem.] e que coincidentemente é a mesma aula que a última aula de sexta feira [Calculo I], e logo no inicio eu já não tinha mais nem mais um pingo da idéia do que a professora tava falando. Mas não culpo ela, por completo…

Estou a alguns dias sem dormir direito, acabei virando a noite de sábado para domingo novamente, e não dormi direito no dia seguinte. A verdade é que é muito ruim ter horários alternativos, se é que posso chamar isso desse jeito. Mas eu tenho o maldito hábito de dormir tarde e acordar cedo, e com o tempo vai acumulando sono e cansaço, consequentemente eu começo a ficar meio burro e lerdo, em outras palavras, sonso nelson. E pelo menos eu, quando começo a ficar assim por causa de faltas de horas de sono não é nada engraçado. Porque vejam bem, eu com sono minha capacidade de concetração e de memória se reduzem a quase zero, se bem que em relação a memória não faz muita diferença, porque ela é uma merda dormindo ou não dormindo. Existem outros motivos que me deixam meio lesado nelson, mas não vou entrar em detalhes sobre eles dorgas…

Resumindo, eu tenho que dar um jeito de começar a estudar porque das seis matérias que eu tenho, quatro delas são díficeis, algumas delas muito díficeis. E se eu não tomar jeito nessa minha vidinha malandra, vou acabar perdendo meu tempo que poderia ser grandiosamente aproveitado com algo produtivo no futuro.

Agora mudando de assunto…

Depois de um final de semana que eu sinceramente não lembro mais o que eu fiz [sério, eu não lembro mesmo] me sinto como uma fadinha, prestes a abrir as asas para um longo e brilhante vôo.

Ae, perguntei para uma naga aleijada o que eu fiz no final de semana e ela acabou me lembrando, o mais irônico é que essa mesma naga não tinha me acompanhado na brutal campanha desse sábado. E vou comentar com vocês, porque a minha vida é um completo cachorro. Enfim, acabei indo no estúdio musical de uma grande migs minha com alguns outros amigos, tambem amigos dela, e dentre eles, formosas nagas. E foi bastante divertido, ficamos tocando/dançando/dando/cantando, e depois fomos para um barzinho buteco. [NAGAS, BRAHMA LONG NECK $2,50, em outras palavras, épico.] E depois ainda fomos comer uma pizza, que apesar de ter sido feita em um forno a lenha bem bonito tava bem ruimzinha, mas ninguem ligou, estávamos famintos.

E no domingo pelo o que eu me lembro passei o dia com minha familia trancado no meu quarto, depois fui almoçar, depois voltei para o meu quarto a passar o dia com eles.

Btw, apesar de não ligar, vou ter um momento hipócrita aqui e desejar feliz dia dos pais para todos os pais que não molestam, estupram, roubam comida, batem, vendem orgãos, de seus filhos e filhas, entre outros…

Acabei percebendo uma coisa.. VÉI, A GENTE NUNCA FAZ NADA NOS DOMINGOS, impressionante. E eu me pergunto, porque domingo tem que ser um dia de ficar em casa? O pior é que eu fui parar para pensar nesse momento e nós, nagas ou não nagas, nem deixamos de sair de propósito aparentemente, de propósito no sentido de ser domingo e ter aquela “cultura” de passar o dia em casa descansando. Deixamos de sair porque, acredito eu pelo menos, nunca tem nada para fazer, as vezes até surge algo mas nunca realmente interessante… Tem o fator preguiça tambem, tambem conhecido como viadagem que acontece com muita frequência.

Mas isso é um assunto para um outro post, quando eu estiver com paciência e inspiração para dissertar textos e mais textos.

Por enquanto se contetem com isso, nagas bastardas.

É isso aí, mais um post inútil para o nosso blog tambem inútil.

Vou aproveitar e deixar dois vídeos aqui para vocês assistirem, o que eu dúvido muito que vão, mas não faz diferença tambem. São covers de uma música escrita pelo cantor e compositor americano Neil Diamond. Essa música é antiga, e de certa forma famosa… vários cantores já fizeram cover dela, como por exemplo Johnny Cash e tambem a banda H.I.M, que gosto muito.

Es gibt einige Klischees, die in Bezug auf Finnland bestehen. Zum Beispiel, dass es dort immer kalt ist und die Menschen dem Wetter entsprechend unterkühlt sind. Wenn es allerdings um »His Infernal Majesty« geht, kann von emotionaler Unterkühlung keine Rede sein. Die 1996 um Frontmann Ville Valo gegründete Love-Metal-Band hat neben dem typischen düsteren Charme auch eine Menge feinfühligen Tiefgang zu bieten.

Ein Blick auf das aktuelle Werk »Venus Doom« (VÖ 14.09.07, Warner) zeigt, dass sich HIM auf ihre musikalischen Wurzeln besinnen. Weniger Ballade, mehr Power ist die Devise. Songs wie »Venus Doom«, »The Kiss Of Dawn« oder »Dead Lover’s Lane« kommen mit äußerst geradlinigem Sound daher – inklusive feuernden Gitarren und eindringlichen Refrains. Gestern, am 4. Juni gab Finnlands »most wanted« Rockexport auf dem o2 Music Flash eine ausgiebige Kostprobe seines Könnens – exklusiv, live und kostenlos.

Last night was one night that I will remember for the rest of my life. Last night I finally got the chance to see one of, if not, my favourite band in the world, Finnish rock group HIM. Before I get to my review of the concert, I would like to share with you the story that brought me to this special night.When I was 16 I was stumbling through JB Hi-Fi and I came across Greatest Love Songs Vol 666, and I’m not sure what made it stand out to me, but along with the interesting album work, the import only version and a cheap price tag of $15 I bought it along with a few other albums that day and went home not knowing what would happen.About a week passed by and I eventually put the CD into my stereo, and from that moment I was totally hooked on their sound. About a year passed by and Bam Margera started to get big in Australia, and it seemed that over the space of a few months I was no longer listening to an underground band, as all my friends were starting to get into HIM due to the exposure from Bam.At the time I was running a local promotions company, doing gigs in my local town and my friends said that I should organise a HIM tour of Australia as a joke. So I emailed their manager Seppo, not ever expecting a reply, but I did in fact get a reply from Jim Morewood, their manager outside of the USA and for three weeks we chatted about possible shows. Due to my young age (17 at the time) and inexperience with large promotions, Jim decided to go with someone else with more experience. I was not upset though, because this just meant that I would get to see my favourite band.The next year they were coming to Aus with support of their Dark Light album. I was excited, I was pumped, I was ready. Then two weeks before the concert I lost my job and crashed my car and couldn’t go, I had missed out on the band.So there I was, two years later, and from the minute the band walked on stage my heart was pumping. Festival Hall was full, unfortunately full of young people who didn’t seem to be die hard fans of the band. Regardless, the atmosphere was CRAZY!While Ville could hardly be understood while speaking, minus a few audible jokes here and there, their stage presence was great. As usual he smoked more cigarettes in their one and a half hour set than I do in a year, Lindt’s guitar solos were sot on and vibrant, and Gas was dominant on the drums, driving each and every song with strong and solid beats.Hit after Hit was churned out, playing the usuals like Wicked Game, Buried Alive By Love, Soul on Fire, Razorblade Kiss and showing off a few songs from Venus Doom. Finishing their encore with The Sacrament (my favourite song by the group) and an instrumental, they left the stage making me want more.Would I go see them again? In a heartbeat. Not the best show I’ve seen (Rage wins that one) but one of the most memorable
