Britney Spears just launched her singles collection this month. For a decade in music industry, Britney has proved herself to the public that she is capable of being a great pop star despite her poor voice and tons of bad rumors. Her carefree behavior and unsuccessful love life both have added up to make her music even more fascinating and electrifying.

Becoming famous at the same time as boy bands and girl groups most of which are now extinct, Britney survived the crises of her personal life and thrives in the highly competitive industry with her pop music that still can capture the interests of young generations. She was named ‘princess of pop’ in the past and I’d say calling her ‘queen of pop’ at present is not an exaggeration at all.

The album includes the latest single ‘3′, of which the lyric is explicitly about threesome sex. The song is an uptempo dance pop which despite its similar style to the other songs from ‘Blackout’ and ‘Circus’ is still full of energy and will surely be a hit. It is then followed by ‘Baby One More Time’, one of the greatest pop songs of a decade. I still remember the music video of young Britney dancing in a school outfit with two pony tails. That she sang and danced (with the innocent look) was so powerful and influential that it made her become a pop star over night.  The other hit tracks like ‘Oops I Did It Again’, ‘Boys’, ‘Me against the Music’, ‘Stronger’ and ‘Toxic’ are also included.

In the standard version, there are totally 18 tracks arranged in chronological order. A couple of her popular ballads such as ‘Sometimes’, ‘From the Bottom of My Broken Heart’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know’ are missing in the standard edition so I’d suggest the fans who want to get the complete set of her works to get the deluxe version instead. However, some may find that the standard edition with addition of her recent singles from ‘Blackout’ and ‘Circus’ are sufficient to define Britney’s pop music culture.

Currently there are so many pop singers in the market but only a few are able to sustain. With the rise of the phenomenal Lady Gaga and the attack of hip-hop music, it’s very interesting to see how Britney will tackle all these and come back in the next album.

Being mediocre is not an option in today’s entertainment market where more products are being created than ever before. Affordable production technologies and internet as democratic publishing channel have opened the market. As internet offers an endless flow of obscure propositions for niche markets the global hits dominate the entertainment market sales. The almost-hits are selling less than before while the real hits are getting even bigger.

Why do hits dominate the entertainment space more than ever before?

1. People want something to talk about in coffee table and hits offers a safe common topic.
2. Consumer review skew towards hits. Hits are reviewed by more people who consume less entertainment and are so less critical to quality compared to niche products which are consumed by more critical aficionados.
3. Risk of failing to capitalize on the to-be hit makes studios, labels and publishers invest more and more on marketing of the products they have selected to be hits.

The end of a month is a milestone of sorts. As we put November 2009 to bed, I thought I would share a few random thoughts about my blogging experience so far.

With this posting I have successfully met the self-imposed challenge of posting at least once a day for an entire month. Woot! Late in October I signed up to become an “official” NaBlaPoMo blog. My brain is so hyperactive with background noise it was actually fairly easy to do. Setting a goal and meeting that goal: Not something you’ll find me doing all that often.

To celebrate, I started off this post with a graph showing the activity of this blog as reported by the WordPress stats function. The graph shows “hits per week.” I’m still a new kid on the block. I’ve only been doing this for 10 weeks. But the overall trend seems promising. When CNN and FOX News start calling to get my opinion on things I’ll be sure to let you know. And yes, the Y-Axis labels have been omitted to prevent the leaking of critical proprietary statistical information. Ha!

The WordPress dashboard tells me that in those 10 weeks I have posted 128 times using a whopping total of 681 tags. That makes this post number 129.  And while someone like They Call Me Jane has yet to write her 100th post, she has already hit the 1,000 comments milestone. Me? With more posts than her I’m about 40.1 percent there.

I hope that this blog makes you laugh and occasionally make you think. I deeply appreciate those of you who read and share my private thoughts (since I’m doing this anonymously). It has been a lot of fun and I’ve met some wonderful and amazing people that I already consider to be friends. I plan to keep writing full throttle and see where this blog takes me. Horton could hear a Who. It’s nice to know that the outside world can sometimes hear my shouts from the abyss, too.

Den Wiesn hit 2009 von Chris Böttcher/Bayern 3 gibt es nun auch auf hochdeutsch von Markus Becker und Almklausi.Damit dürfte die Satire auf Germanys Next Topmodel/Heidi Klum nun endgültig Einzug in die Partyszene von Mallorca bis zu den Skigebieten finden.

Cover Fotoshooting und MakingOf Video

Am 09.11.2009 waren Markus Becker und Almklausi beim Cover Fotoshooting für das neue Lied, die Autogrammkarten und Flyer. Das Fotoshooting fand bei Fotograf Rod Meier in Neu-Ulm im Fotostudio statt. Die Liste der Musiker die schon bei Rod Meier imFotostudio warenist lang: Tim Toupet, Peter Wackel, NickP, PS Alex, Zascha, Harry Reischmann, Dorian Opera, Almklausi und vielen weiteren Musikern war Markus Becker zum ersten mal in Neu-Ulm. Die beiden fanden die Atmosphäre wohl sehr angenehm und liesen sich zu allerlei lustigen Streichen bewegen. Rod Meier stellt daher kurzerhand seine Videokamera auf um davon ein MakingOf Video zu drehen.

I’m not what you’d call a “Music Buff”. Most of the songs that I adore get me mocked by my lovely friends… *Cough Cough* But this is MY blog, so you get MY opinion! Haha.

One of my all time favourite bands is Creedence Clearwater Revival. A true blue American rock band that became famous in the 1960’s and created songs so good that even in the 2000’s their music still heavily saturates radio stations. When I’m chilling at home, sitting on the deck out in the sun, more often than not I have Creedence playing on my ipod. It’s fun, catchy and makes you feel good.

Their songs can be a little bit bluesy, but are mostly soft rock that gets you singing and tapping your foot. Some of my particular faves are “Bad Moon Rising”, “Good Golly Miss Molly”, “Midnight Special”, “Suzie Q” and “Lookin’ Out My Back Door”. All the songs are available on iTunes and, in my opinion, are a great addition to anyones music collection. Anyway, doesn’t hurt to broaden your listening preferences, right?

Hi, pals. There have been 1000 hits on my blog, and I am celebrating it. Yay!!!!!

It feels good that when you do something and it is being appreciated by the people. I started to pen down the random thoughts that comes to my mind and those random thoughts led to the birth of this blog. Slowly and steadily I posted some posts along with songs and people read it, and I am THANKFUL to every single individual who landed on my blog and who read even a single alphabet of it.

The people who have been blogging for years know how good it feels when you achieve this position as a novice blogger. Believe me it is amazing! Achievement like this gives you an encouragement to work harder and to make the best out of your efforts for the people who read your posts.
