HCL has released an ultra-compact notebook known as the C9504 which consists of a 12.1-inch screen and modest processing power. The key feature of this model is the size of the laptop which is very small when compared to the other models. It comes with a cramped keyboard bundled with frequently used keys missing, like Page Up / Down, Home and End. To access these functions, the user must use the arrow keys in conjunction with a ‘function’ key.

The model is built on the old school model which is the Pentium M 755 running at 2.0 GHz on a mobile Intel 915 chip set. The RAM used is a 512 MB of DDR333. The laptop is not a media based system but for most office applications this model is powerful enough. The maximum resolution is 1024×768 and this is pretty good for most office and other primary applications and also for web users.
