Voilà plus d’un mois que je ne pouvais plus me connecter ni à MSN via Pidgin ni à ma boite hotmail.
Cela coïncidait avec la mise en place d’un réseau filaire à la maison…bizarre…

J’ai résolu le problème de pidgin avec le paquet msn-pecan disponible dans les dépôts universe sous Ubuntu.
La boite Hotmail restant inaccessible, j’ai finalement trouvé la solution en changeant la valeur MTU

Deux solutions s’offrent à vous :

Version Graphique sous Ubuntu 9.10 :

Clic droit sur l’icône réseau, puis modification des connexions

puis sous l’onglet filaire clic sur eth0 puis modifier

Et changez la valeur MTU à 1492

Version en ligne de commande :

sudo ifconfig eth0 mtu 1492

Voilà les choses devrait rentrer dans l’ordre

Há muito, mas muito tempo mesmo que deixei de usar o hotmail como email principal, praticamente desde 2004 quando o gmail surgiu. E já naquela época o gmail já havia se lançado no mercado com o diferencial de uma caixa postal mas espaçosa, inicialmente com 1GB contra 2,5MB do hotmail. Logo em seguida o gmail passou a ter a caixa postal ilimitada. Não sei se para outras pessoas essa notícia veio antes ou pra mim está chegando muito atrasada, mas em um dos poucos emails que chegam redirecionados do hotmail para o gmail veio esta propaganda a seguir, tornando a caixa postal do hotmail ilimitada e com integração com o messenger na própria página principal, funcionalidade já existente no gmail há muitos anos atrás. Alguém estava esperando por essa “novidade” por todo esses anos?

Al giorno d’oggi abbiamo mille mila account di posta… di instant messaging e chi più chi meno siamo sui vari LinkedIn e Facebook… un gran casino tenere tutto sott’occhio…

Io tra MSN, ICQ, Skype, MSN, YahooMessenger dovrei tenere aperti 5 programmi… per non parlare della mail personale, quella del blog, LinkedIn e Facebook… ‘na faticaccia no?

Ed ecco che l’altro giorno “scopro” Digsby… mi “controlla” le varie mail e funge da IM multiprotocollo per i vari programmi di IM (eccetto Skype… almeno per ora)…

…poi controlla LinkedIn e facebook e un po’ di altre cose che non necessariamente utilizzo…

Comodissimo per i vari popup di avviso dei messaggi ma anche dei cambi di stato di FB o di nuovo foto inserite dai contatti…

La feature mooooolto comoda è che una volta installato su un PC e creato l’account su Digsby (a cui associare tutti gli altri) se per esempio sono in giro con il portatile ed installo Digsby lì… TAAAAAC automaticamente prende tutte le impostazioni che avevo già impostato sul PC di casa… in questo modo uno non si deve nemmeno più preoccupare di ricordarsi 10k password… ne basta una… uella di Digsby!

Personalmente mi son trovato a disabilitare un po’ di funzioni che risultavano “leggermente” invasive durante l’utilizzo normale: ridotto all’osso i popup e gli avvisi sonori in pratica] ma devo dire che sono rimasto piacevolmente impressionato dal programmino… Bhé provatelo anche voi no?

I made my first email account close to 5-6 years ago, though everything I wrote was complete idiocy, I had a lot of sentimental feelings towards them after reading them through the course of time.

..Emails with completely horrible spelling.
..Emails to close friends at the time of nerdism.
..Emails that contained the secret of epic flirting.
..Emails to friends who are no more in contact.
..Emails to boring family members.
..Emails where friends taught you the meanings of “lol”, “idk”,”brb” and such.
..Emails and replies to girls that I used to boast oh so much to my peeps.
..Emails of childhood gossips (Like Harry Potters new boyfriend).
..Loads of bloody emails about Lego’s and Barbie’s.

Emails of total innocence.

The mistake I made however, was creating my first email through Hotmail. I did have Yahoo account, but only for the chatting feature.
Then I got a Gmail account after about 2 years and only checked my Hotmail now and then to see crap emails from Microsoft. I think the rule then was that if you didn’t log into the account in a years time all your messages will be deleted. But not too long ago, it changed from 1 year… to 1 month

I logged into my Hotmail account after 2 months time yesterday, and found all my old emails GONE. They could have just deleted my whole account instead, but logging in to see no messages in your inbox is irritating like hell. So if any of you peeps go make a Hotmail account, think twice. I should add that since being a Microsoft product, you would foresee how stupid and cheap it is and not make a mistake like this one.

There are only three reasons why you would get a Hotmail account.
(a) E-mail address inertia
(b) You are a Microsoft employee or
(c) You like pain.

So quit being a dumbass (apologies to all my friends who use Hotmail), and go get yourself a trusty service like Gmail (or Yahoo).

สำหรับแพกเกจที่โนเกียร่วมกับเอไอเอสจัดให้กับผู้ใช้งานในเครือข่าย เอไอเอส ใช้งานอีเมลบนมือถือได้แก่ แพกเกจ Nokia Messaging 199 บาท โดยผู้ใช้สามารถใช้บริการ Nokia Messaging ได้สูงสุดถึง 5 เมกะไบต์ต่อเดือน ในราคาเพียง 199 บาท หรือ Nokia Messaging 399 บาท Unlimited ที่ผู้ใช้งานสามารถใช้บริการ Nokia Messaging ได้แบบไม่จำกัด ทั้งนี้ บริการดังกล่าวใช้งานได้เฉพาะอีเมลเท่านั้น ไม่รวมการใช้งานดาต้าอื่นๆ

หากพิจารณาแพกเกจของโนเกียในครั้งนี้จะพบว่ามีข้อจำกัดเรื่องการใช้ งานเพียงอีเมลอย่างเดียว ขณะที่แพกเกจของแบล็กเบอร์รี่สามารถที่จะใช้งานดาต้าอื่นๆ ได้ด้วย และหากพิจารณาเปรียบในส่วนของการใช้งานแบบไม่จำกัดของโนเกียที่ราคา 399 บาท หากมีการใช้งานจีพีอาร์เอสแบบไม่จำกัดจะต้องเสียค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มอีก 999 บาท ส่วนแพกเกจ Unlimited ของแบล็กเบอร์รี่ที่เอไอเอสให้บริการเช่นเดียวกันมีค่าใช้จ่ายอยู่เพียง 650 บาท

แหล่งข่าวในเอไอเอส กล่าวว่า การทำแพกเกจร่วมกับโนเกียในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นการเริ่มต้นเท่านั้น เหมือนกับเป็นการทดลองตลาดว่ายอมรับกับแพกเกจนี้หรือไม่ ซึ่งหากเปรียบเทียบกับแพกเกจของแบล็กเบอร์รี่แล้วถือว่ายังเป็นรองอยู่ อีกประการหนึ่งที่เอไอเอสยังไม่สามารถเปิดแพกเกจกับโนเกียเช่นเดียวกับแบล็กเบอร์รี่คือ ความกังวลเรื่องที่ผู้ใช้โนเกียจะนำแพกเกจนี้ไปเชื่อมต่อเพื่อใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ตตลอดเวลา ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อแพกเกจการใช้งานจีพีอาร์เอสที่เอไอเอสให้บริการอยู่ในปัจจุบัน

นอกจากนี้การเปิดให้บริการ Nokia Messaging ในครั้งนี้ของโนเกียยังไม่มีการเปิดให้บริการแชตเหมือนอย่างบริการ BB Messaging น่าที่จะเป็นอีกหนึ่งความเสียเปรียบที่ทำให้ผู้ที่จะมาเลือกใช้บริการ Nokia Messaging แต่ชอบแชตด้วยตัดสินใจรอให้โนเกียเปิดให้บริการนี้ก่อนในเดือนตุลาคม รวมถึงข้อจำกัดของบริการ Nokia Messaging ที่ให้บริการเฉพาะผู้ใช้งานจีเอสเอ็ม แอดวานซ์ เท่านั้น ส่วนผู้ใช้งานวัน-ทู-คอล! จะมีการเปิดให้บริการในระยะต่อไป

การชิงเปิดให้บริการของโนเกียจึงเหมือนกับการออกมาหยั่งเชิงตลาด และชะลอผู้บริโภคที่กำลังจะตัดสินใจเลือกใช้บริการแบล็กเบอร์รี่มากกว่า โดยพยายามที่จะเป็นหนึ่งในค่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือที่มีผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการที่รอง รับอีเมลบนมือถือเช่นกัน

Ok, now I have had all sort of reports of at least 3 new scam mail attachment virus attacks….

**There are 2 major Hotmail scam mail attachments virus attacks and one generic please open this. All they have is “PLEASE OPEN THE ATTACHMENT FOR MORE INFO“. Then they a small attachment to open…Please what ever you DO NOT OPEN IT….It contains a Trojan Virus that will put a back door on your computer and in only 24-48 hours you may start to notice if you are connected to the Internet. That you no longer can control your computer…IE mouse cursor moving by it self..

Q: What should I do if I get infected by this virus….?

A: If you have opened this attachment…Dis-connect your computer from the Internet and run a virus scan ASAP. So far AVIRA and AVAST have picked it up but not AVG Free (9.0.707).

Recentemente, visando diminuir o número de spams, o hotmail (Windows Live) começou a inserir um espaço depois de qualquer imagem dentro de uma peça de e-mail, assim, quando a peça é constituida apenas de imagens recortadas ela pode chegar “quebrada” conforme imagem:

E-mails constituidos somente por imagens nunca foram recomendados, pois além de dependerem da ativação da visualização de imagens, são considerados spam com maior frequência pelos servidores. Com essa nova proteção do Hotmail, um serviço vastamente utilizado, esse tipo de peça de e-mail deve ser evitada ao máximo.

Abaixo podemos ver um exemplo de peça de e-mail marketing que utiliza uma mescla de textos e imagens, e não corre risco de chegar com variações em nenhum servidor:

Hace unos días buscaba en internet sobre este tema y encontré varios sitios, muchos de los consejos son parecidos, así que os copio estos que encontré en el blog anterior. Son 40 ideas a seguir para los interesados.

1) Incluye la dirección de tu blog en tu firma del mail. Esto es muy bueno, porque cada vez que manden un correo estará su dirección de blog y más de alguno pinchará en él por curiosidad.

2)Agrega tu URL a Google.

3) Permite que los usuarios puedan mandar por mail un post de tu blog que les gusté ASÍ.

4)Habilita tus páginas de entrada en las opciones de tu menú. Esto significa que cada post tendrá su página web independiente, por lo que cuando alguien busque algo en Google, el motor de búsqueda tendrá más vínculos.

5) Ofrece al final de tu post y donde quieras, enlaces a otros artículos que hayas escrito.

6) Diseña un botón para tu blog con un código para que otros usuarios lo copien y lo peguen en su sidebar.

7)Inscríbete en Buscadores de Blogs para que estés en sus listas como: Technorati, Daypop, Blogdex, Popdex.

8.) Crea vínculos a otros blogs. Para que te lean ayuda a otros a que los lean.

9) Deja comentarios en muchos lugares, es una manera en que la gente se interese por lo que dices y quiera profundizar curioseando en tu blog. Ahora, la idea no es transformarse en un spammer.

10) Habilita el Feed de tu sitio.

11) Permite que los lectores realicen comentarios sobre cada post. Quizás muchos usuarios vuelvan para ver cómo sigue la conversación.

12) Activa Weblogs.com ( servicio de notificación de actualizaciones de blog), para que Blogger notifique que actualizaste tu bitácora. En caso de ser usuario de Blogger. En WordPress es automático.

13) Activa Navbar (Botón que permite hojear de un blog a otro con click en “Next”). En Blogger. En WordPress, sólo hay que hacer clic en la flecha del menú superior, cuando se esta en modo administrador.

14) Aumenta tu posicionamiento en los motores de búsqueda de Google con éstos consejos.

15) Cita a tu fuente las veces que puedas.

16) Utiliza y activa los trackback.

17) También puedes mandar tus nuevas entradas por mail a otros bloggers para que te lean (aunque esta opción la encuentro un poco invasiva).

18) Cuéntale a tus amigos y conocidos de tu diario virtual para que te visiten.

19) Cuida tu ortografía y tu vocabulario.

20)Participa en foros y da a conocer tu bitácora.

21)Regístrate en comunidades de habla hispana como: bitacoras.com

22)Instala un ‘Blogroll’. Se trata de una serie de enlaces de los blogs que te gustan.

23)Inserta en tu sidebar links a posts o categorías que creas son las mejores de tu sitio para ser visitadas.

24)Inserta un buscador dentro de tu blog, para que los visitantes exploren contenidos dentro de tu bitácora.

25) Anima a la gente a que te incorporen a sus favoritos (Mozilla).

26) Incluye Meta Tags a tu sitio.

27) Inscríbete a Tutop (top de websites).

28)Agrega un link para que otros recomienden tu blog.

29) Crea posts-resumen, que recapitulen varios posts sobre un mismo tema, enlazando a éstos.

30) Usa el intercambio de banners de miarroba.com

31) Participa en algún meme de Internet. Esto es una idea (a veces sinsentidos o juegos) transmitida de persona a persona como si fuese un virus.

32) No extenderse demasiado en las entradas o posts. La idea es que no sea un testamento.

33) Trata de no dejar mucho tiempo sin publicar, tus lectores se escapan y no vuelven porque creen que no regresaste o ya te cambiaron por otro. (Ojalá un mínimo de 3 veces por semana).

34) Sigue los 10 consejos para una bitácora mejor de Rebecca Blood

35) Lee los 5 trucos de Fernando Polo.

36) Pasa a ver “los consejos al escribir tu blog” de Javi Moya.

37) Intenta, en la medida que puedas, responder los comentarios de tus lectores. Ellos quedarán muy contentos.

38) Trata de focalizarte, escribir sobre un mismo tema, para que tus lectores vuelvan por más de lo mismo.

39) No descuides la redacción ni las faltas de ortografía.

40) Y por último: Escribe de lo que te gusta, ojalá de lo que te apasiona y pásalo bien posteando!

Ya lo sabéis, podéis seguir algunos de estos consejos para ver si aumentas las visitas de vuestros blogs. De todos modos, lo mejor es escribir para pasar el rato y aprender como funcionan los blogs y todo este mundo sin necesidad de enloquecer con el tema de las visitas.

Tarde o temprano todos vamos a morir; imagina que deja el buzón de correo electrónico lleno de varios gigas de spam, invitaciones a Mafia War, centenares de intentos de phishing, miles de galletas de la fortuna, etc.

Las redes sociales y sitio más populares han establecido algunas políticas para cuando alguno de sus usuarios fallece; lea el sumario:

Hotmail:

Hotmail tiene como política la de borrar cuentas de correo electrónico si no han sido tocadas en al menos 270 días. Si mueres, tu familia podrá acceder a tu cuenta en ese periodo, si prueba su identidad y suministra un certificado de defunción.

Gmail:

Gmail también le permite a los familiares o albaceas de la herencia solicitar el acceso a la cuenta de correo electrónico de un usuario fallecido. Sin embargo, necesitan mas identificaciones que Hotmail. La persona habrá de proveer su propia identidad y solicitar un certificado de defunción, así como la prueba de una conversación de correo electrónico entre ellos y el fallecido.

Si el fallecido era menor de edad, los familiares tendrán que suministrar una copia del certificado de nacimiento.

Gmail no borra las cuentas de usuarios fallecidos, pero dice que los familiares pueden optar por hacerlo después de acceder a ella

Yahoo!:

Yahoo! tiene una estricta política cuando se trata de los datos de los usuarios fallecidos. La empresa permite a los familiares del usuario pedir que la cuenta sea cerrada , pero no le dará acceso a ella. Dicen que los usuarios que quieren que sus correos electrónicos sean heredados deben hacer los arreglos en su testamento.

Facebook:

Facebook tiene una política llamada “memorialization” que se aplica a los perfiles de los usuarios fallecidos. Una vez que se confirmó la muerte del usuario, su perfil se puede convertir en una especie de santuario virtual. Cuando eso sucede, el perfil está bloqueado para que nadie pueda acceder a ella y la información confidencial (incluyendo actualizaciones de estado) se retira.

MySpace:

MySpace no ha establecido una política en lo que respecta a los perfiles de los usuarios fallecidos. Un portavoz dijo: “Dado el carácter sensible de los perfiles de los miembros fallecidos, MySpace maneja cada incidente caso por caso cuando se le notifique y trabajará con las familias para respetar sus deseos.”
