I was pretty drunk and disappointed with the quality of his movies, so I decided to write him. I had no idea he would respond and this is as real as it can get. I’m as surprised as you are. I’ll put a link to the facebook page if I can.

Again, sir, please don’t think I fail to recognize and appreciate the incredible impact you’ve made on the Martial Arts world. I have massive respect for you and have since childhood. I will be happy to give your films one more chance. Are either of them set to play in theaters? I just don’t see myself buying a copy unless I know it will be worth the money. Maybe I’ll give redbox a try. I hear it costs only one dollar, assuming you return it on time. Also, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond with such haste. It is refreshing to correspond with a star who genuinely cares that his fans expect a certain quality for their money. I’ll be sure to tune in for the next, better movie.
P.S- You can keep the lovemaking scenes. Beautiful actresses

They are falling down huge companies would be turned over, many times surprise substitutions are happening polityczno economic, many persons are losing the work or the wealth and the situation on the market of currencies and securities is at least unstable. However there are certain aspects, which thanks of the economic recession of our times, they seem to be unusually beneficial for the average consumer. is one of such aspects, without a doubt, the situation on the market housing in our country. In the course of two last years, we observed the sequence of substitutions which resulted in a price reduction on the housing – market more than one property developer, prices for the square metre fell down whether these are plots, or of the decorated flat fell about a dozen or so even the per cent, every property are fighting to the bitter end for smallest give the customer, offering releases of different kind, additions and so on, and so forth „prezenty”, in order to support the customer. As it we are being transferred situation of the potential buyer? Developer, wanting to sell his flat, isn’t already a figure leading in negotiations. Now it is a customer is a form which can dictate conditions but the developer, being aware, that number of purchasers (in the face of the economic-credit situation) she is limited wanting, not wanting he must make towards us sure concessions.

Conjunctive adverbs are the adverb that connects two clauses. They show cause and effect, sequence, contrast, comparison, or other relationships.

Punctuating Rules of Conjunctive Adverbs

1. Conjunctive adverbs can be used after semicolon or period.

She knew she was going to die; however, she married her long-time friend.

The government has taken measures to stop the economic crisis. Additionally, the private sector has promised to coordinate with the government.

2. If a conjunctive adverb is one-syllable, it does not require a comma after it. But if it has two syllables or more, it should be followed by a comma.

3. If conjunctive adverbs are brought at the end of a sentence, they need a comma before them (some conjunctive adverbs do not require comma when they come at the end, like again).

You have decided to ban the word ‘however’.

Not because you dislike the word. On the contrary, it’s one of your favourites. You spent your entire university career bashing out essays where the argument was hanging by a thread and the words, ‘and’, ‘but’, ‘however, and ‘thus it can be seen’.

Luckily you’ve matured since then. Nowadays you also use ‘although’.

Although even that’s probably surpassed by the number of times you shoehorn in the very Russian use of the phrase ‘of course’.

Which means it isn’t obvious at all. Of course.

However, ‘however’ is very much still a part of your life. You are willing to sacrifice it though if it means you are no longer forced to read assignments written by people who use it wrongly.

Particularly when those people are native speaker graduates who are training to be English language teachers.

In a last-ditch attempt to preserve this cohesive jewel for posterity you will occasionally attempt a little remedial tuition.

‘However’ you explain, without much hope of success, is an adverbial.

Which is not important in itself, but it does mean that you use it to join ideas, not grammar. So it cannot be used to join two sentences into one. So it is COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY WRONG to write: ‘I am a man, however, I do not leave my socks lying wherever I happen to pull them off when entering the house.’

It is correct to write: ‘I am a man. However, I do not leave my socks lying wherever I happen to pull them off when entering the house.’

It is also possible to get a bit drunk on sophistication and start riffing away with effects like: ‘I am a man. I do not, however, leave my socks lying wherever I happen to pull them off when entering the house.’ Or even ‘I am a man. I do not leave my socks lying wherever I happen to pull them off when entering the house, however.’

You don’t think you are being unreasonable. You are willing to sacrifice a certain amount of commarage for example. As long as you get those two damn ideas in TWO DAMN SENTENCES.

Sadly, this approach has had only a mixed success and so as to slow down the wear and tear on your teeth enamel and eliminate the instances of snapped green marking pens* you feel it would be better for your blood pressure if you just got rid of the word altogether.

That and the word ‘less’. Which might encourage people to use the word ‘fewer’ more often. And would certainly mean that you were not forced to write to a major supermarket chain to point out that the poster campaign that they had just rolled out across the company reading ‘Together we can use less bags!’ should, of course, read ‘together we can use fewer bags.’

Plural countable nouns, people, pay more attention to those plural countable nouns.

If you begin an independent clause with however, you need to preface it with a semi-colon.

I would like to spend the winter break on the beach; however, I do not have enough time or money for such a vacation.

I would have turned the paper in on time; however, my little brother’s dog ate my computer.

Sometimes, however, people prefer to put this word in the middle of a clause, like I just did. Then it needs to be set off by commas.

I would like to watch a movie. I can’t, however, because I have more papers to grade.

If you use however is at the end of a clause, it also needs a comma.

I would like to eat some candy corn. There is none in this apartment, however.

I would like to eat some candy corn. There is none in this apartment, however, so I will have to live without it.

There is no semi-colon before the however in the last example, because however does not begin an independent clause. Compare it with my first two examples. It is at the end of the first clause, as I hope the second-to-last example makes clear.

Abnaa al Gebelawi (Children of Gebelawi), By Ibrahim Farghali, Cairo: Al Ain, 2009 In Ibrahim Fargha

Abnaa al Gebelawi (Children of Gebelawi), By Ibrahim Farghali, Cairo: Al Ain, 2009

In Ibrahim Farghali’s Abnaa al Gebelawi, all of the texts of the great Egyptian novelist Naguib Mahfouz suddenly vanish from the face of the earth. This happens without explanation, reason, or ostensible cause: wherever they might be found – not only in libraries and bookshops but also on bookshelves and bedside bedside tables – novels by Mahfouz in their original Arabic are simply nowhere to be found. The authorities’ attempt to remedy the situation in the face of worldwide and (notably, if somewhat incredibly) popular uproar are juxtaposed with sightings of Mahfouz’s characters in a variety of locales, seldom having anything to do with the settings in which they actually appear in Mahfouz’s books.

With six – now seven – books to his name, Farghali (b. 1967) is among the most prolific novelists of his generation. In his devotion to the genre and his formal conservatism, he is perhaps the worthiest heir to Mahfouz (1911-2006), the Nobel prize winner most known for his mid-century tales of Cairo. Unlike Mahfouz, however, Farghali is firmly steeped in a magical realist tradition. Running through much of his prose are echoes of Jose Saramago’s nightmarish humour or shades of Italo Calvino’s fascination with the fantastical nature of fiction. He is taken by twins, telepathy and teleporting, and his firmly middle-class characters – otherwise utterly ordinary – have been known to reappear after they have died.

In Abnaa al Gebelawi – Farghali’s latest and greatest work – we face the prospect of a world without literature. The myriad voices in the book — for the young narrator cum author assumes many guises throughout these pages — express concern as to the fraught future of Arabic literature, about the erosion of the liberal and humane values that Mahfouz and his work represent, and (reflecting perhaps the essential fear of all true writers) about oblivion at large.

The events of the book are staged around a relatively uncomplex love affair involving the narrator and the eccentric daughter of a well-to-do family— occasion for Farghali to probe the psychology of class and sex in contemporary Egyptian society. Further in, however, the story breaks up and morphs into countless alternative and subordinate plot-lines, until it becomes clear (although it is never stated) that the whole of Abnaa al Gebelawi is but the barely coherent waste of a single pluralistic mind – the mind of a young writer concerned with the literary wasteland around him. The allegorical dimension remains predominant, and in this way recalls Awlad Haretnah (Children of Our Alley, 1959), the title of whose earlier English translation Farghali translates back verbatim for his own.

As it happens, Awlad Haretnah was the only book by Mahfouz to suffer censure from the religious establishment. In it the history of a popular residential quarter in Cairo stands in for the sum total of humanity’s spiritual experience. That quarter’s oldest, strongest and most benevolent resident – for many generations hidden away in his mansion – is called Gebelawi. Gebelawi has envoys or representatives, descendants or grandchildren, whose struggles to spread peace and justice make up episodes of the saga. Each is a retelling of the life of one of the prophets of Islam, starting with Adam and ending with the False Messiah. Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad all feature, but at the end a rumour spreads that Gebelawi himself has died. In Arab literary circles it is frequently claimed that if not for Awlad Haretnah, Mahfouz would not have received the Nobel Prize. But it proved too much for orthodox, let alone radical Muslims, for whom Mahfouz would become the enemy soon enough.

a letter from Mahfouz to Mohammad al Badawi

Radical Islam had claimed many lives since the 1980s when in 1994 Mahfouz barely survived being knifed to death outside his house in Cairo. The irony was that, of all the helpless octogenarians his bearded young assailants could have targeted for apostasy, he was probably the least secular. A typical Cairene of the pre-bin Laden era, the man had led an all but exemplary (for which read profoundly unadventurous) life. He did not seek revolution, he did not take great risks. He had no utopian or transcendental illusions. And perhaps it was thanks to this and this alone that he was able to invent and reinvent the novel, the youngest genre in the language, defining it for generations of writers down to Farghali.

Applying every novelistic model at his disposal, Mahfouz produced a phenomenal number of readable books: social chronicles, political critiques, philosophical manuals. None was too difficult or experimental to render it inaccessible to even the most common reader. None sought to undermine whatever pillar of the status quo it came in contact with. Notwithstanding the elaborately veiled, painstakingly respectful Ages-of-Man narrative in Awlad Haretnah – a Muslim treatise on the meaning of life if ever there was one – in Mahfouz’s books, the family, the creed, the government are never attacked for what they are or what they stand for, but only for their most striking deviations, omissions or excesses.

For a magic realist like Farghali, Mahfouz may not be the most obvious point of departure; the Nobel laureate is, after all, best known for devotion to the real even in his least realistic works, and one would have trouble imagining him so much as hinting at the paranormal or the fantastical. Yet in Abnaa al Gebelawi, the grand opera to Farghali’s various arias, Mahfouz is an embodiment of something not so different from the sense of sight. His books stand in for almost everything Farghali values: Literature, Thought, Freedom, Knowledge, even Love. The premise could not have been more powerful.

Packet Tracer 4.1 is a standalone, medium-fidelity, simulation-based learning environment for networking novices to design, configure, and troubleshoot computer networks at a CCNA-level of complexity. Packet Tracer supports student and instructor creation of simulations, visualizations, and animations of networking phenomena. Like any simulation, Packet Tracer 4.1 relies on a simplified model of networking devices and protocols. However, real computer networks remain the benchmark for understanding network behavior. Packet Tracer was created to help address the “digital divide” in networking education, where many students and teachers lack access to equipment, bandwidth, and interactive modes of learning networking.

Najib: M’sian education system must change

By SHAHANAAZ HABIB

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian students are too passive and the education system must change to challenge and encourage them to be more curious, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that Malaysian minds were just not inquisitive and challenged enough.

“Our education system must change. Our children are just not curious enough. They must be curious about the world. They must ask questions,” he said.

“Malaysians are very good at rote learning. They spend hours learning,” he said, adding that society too was often passive sometimes out of a sense of respect for the other especially if he or she was more senior.

Najib pointed out that every society that is open to learning and knowledge flourished while those that closed up went into decay.

He, therefore, called for an intellectual renaissance in the country and wanted this to start at universities where the minds of students could be opened up and liberated.

He said Malaysian universities had beautiful physical infrastructure and excellent communications centres that were huge and rather expensive to maintain.

However, he noted that the “intellectual infrastructure” was lacking.

He said that more openness and a greater infusion of knowledge would create a stronger society.

“The whole paradigm shift must start in schools,” he said, adding that schools should make students curious and inquisitive.

Touching on an example, he said, he was struck by a question at his daughter’s university that asked if the Cold War had ended, a question which even he would have difficulty answering.

“You can’t find the answer in text books. There is no right or wrong. It depends on your power of reasoning and how you articulate your ideas. This is the (thinking) younger generation that we must propagate,” he said in his opening speech at the Seminar on Creating a Blue Ocean in Education and Training Sectors.

He said Malaysians should look at where they were today, where they would like to be in the future and find a way to get there.

“That to me is our challenge. I’m optimistic we will get there,” he added.

At another function on early education and ‘Each Child is a Gem of the Nation’ (Permata), Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the government had recently approved the Permata curriculum and programme for children ages four and below and there would be a national roll out of the programme next year.

He said RM200mil had been set aside under the 2009 Budget for child early education (from age one to six), adding that the Permata curriculum would be made mandatory for private centres.

Najib said there were 8,814 kindergartens in the country, most of which were privately run.

He also noted that as of 2007, only 10% or 3.1mil children in that age group attended day care centres, which was far below the 80% in developed countries.

He said the government recognised that the first four years of a child’s life were formative years and that 90% of rapid brain development happened during these early years and hence there was a need for a holistic type of early education.

Najib’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor is the chairman of the Permata committee.

In her speech, Rosmah said, over the last 18 months, they had set up 14 Permata centres all over the country for a total of 380 children with 80 teachers, all with a minimum of a diploma education.

She said Permata was planning to set up another centre in an Indian majority area with the help of Wanita MIC.

She was also in favour of Najib’s suggestion that parents sending their kids to the Permata centre should sign a Aku Janji (I Promise) letter that they would at least spend four hours a month participating in the child’s early education.

So okay, here’s what I’ve got so far://

My company’s name is Sun Milk. Naming my company was a very difficult thing to do. Some people might be wondering how to come up with the name for their company, and lemme’ tell ya’, it’s not easy. You should probably give up, because just about EVERY name you can THINK OF is taken by some company or other. It gets to the point where you have to think of totally abstract and arbitrary names, and hope that Google’s never heard of them before. I think my narrowed (greatly) list was comprised of names like: Little Girl Inc. and Orange Cloud. LongggSpider was another one, I believe. But I do have a few tips for creating names.//

Make it short
Don’t come up with a name that’s ridiculously long. One or two words is usually good.//

Unconventional
Look for words that wouldn’t usually be put together, like Octopus Garden or Cheddar Salsa; makes for a name that won’t show up in a Google search as already taken, and one that will pop out to readers. You want to get the, “oh, that’s cool! I wish I could be that creative!” reaction. Plus, your name is the first thing that a person sees about your company. Having a creative name can make people more likely to pick your web design services. HOWEVER. You always want to remember to stay professional. Don’t get crazy and name your business Marijuana Dollop Design or something. Try to get something crisp, as well as creative.//

Think visually
Always think in terms of your logo, and the design of your website. Try to make your name as easy to illustrate, and as theme-oriented as possible. Try using objects and colors in your name, as they are the easiest to base a logo off of.//

Make it “ring”
Try to pair words that sound nice together and are aesthetically pleasing. Pick words that embody feelings or sounds, also; powerful words or incredibly subtle words. Make the words work for you.//

These are the things that I kept in mind while creating my name, and I think that I did a pretty good job.//

the site of the day – agency dating software.

and Twitter are two toolls that make access to conttent quick and straightforward, however they are very different and each requires their own speciall passage. you are trying to let slip it online you emergency to use a combination of these to earn promiscuous cash from Twitter.

A combined approach has provven to yield the best occur which is why it is recommended. To begin with RSS simply stands for really simple syndication and is a tool inured to to notify subscribers to changes or updates made to their favorite trap sites or blogs. may would rather already seen these options non-professional website and it is ussually in the aspect of an orange stuffy or some other creative design signifying an RSS feed.

The manner it works is that users grapheme and then they a let go of down menu on their network browser that updates whenever there are changes to your site. This is pure good because users are alwayss up phase about your new import without having to commemorate to check back with your site, this is a very powerful tool if you are thinking of profiting online.

However stylish there lots of talk about becoming a Twitter profit harbour and using that system to make fast bills from twitter. At first glimmer these systems are selfsame like and in essence they are but to use them properly you trouble to learn the intricacies of each one.

Twitter is a site that allows members to broadcast short messages to a list of followers known as tweeting. Kind of like you Faccebook feed which lists everything that is going on with your friends Twitter does the same except it limits you to short messages.

In a for profit online business want to use both these services keep your subscribers abreast of what’s prospering on and new products to buy. With an feed they know instantly about a new post on your site which lets them know the denominate of your post they decide whether to click through and read it or not.

In Twitter you can announce a unfamiliar postal service on your site and despatch a link it, the good thing yon Twitter is that you can also describe it and essence bring around people to read your altered despatch or to check out link, something that can’t be done with RSS feed. This method drastically increases your conversions and allows you to appear irresponsibly currency from Twitter.

However the down side that Twitter is a new technology and not many peeople deceive begun to adopt it, this meanns it is a lofty conviction to make use of it and RSS on your sites. Also many people Twitter as a habits waster and don’t feel getting an account, not person wants to be a Twitter profit quarter, so an RSS option will work pro them.

So at hand offering both options and leveraging them correctly you can broaden a organization where visitors and subscribers are constantly aware of new developments on your site will help you keep their loyalty and hang on to See tradeaboveSee tradeabove excited on your sites essentially making you immediately dough from Twittter.

A Folk This Town

The institution of marriage is a very old concept. It was present throughout history, long before Ch

The institution of marriage is a very old concept. It was present throughout history, long before Christianity saw the light of this planet. There were different ways of becoming ”bonded”, but the principle remained the same: partnership. The nature of this ”partnership” differed: in some cases it was merely to procreate, in other cases to establish a spiritual bond. The culture that we are living in seems to be set in between the former and the latter. Marriage in the Western world appears to be based upon ”gender role practice” where two people mutually reinforce stereotypical behavioral patterns. What is even more grotesque is the lack of awareness which accompanies the entire process. But marriage itself is neutral – it is an idea, it does not align with anyone. It can be a powerful positive experience as well as a nightmare. Unfortunately, more and more people seem to view marriage as a way of sublimating their urges. There are easier ways of doing the latter – we do not have to get seriously involved and pay the consequences later. This is why for many marriage is a failed institution with no practical application in the eyes of many.

This essay is an attempt at delving into the core of ”the marriage problem.”

First and foremost, whether marriage reflects its purpose as stated by Jesus and others – no one can be certain. We can claim that marriage is a male idea because Jesus was a man; because priests are overwhelmingly men; and that women are clearly ignored/discriminated despite claiming to the contrary. It is puzzling as to why a woman would consider marriage to be a joyous occasion if it is one of the most significant chapters in her life, sealing her fate to be subjugated by the patriarchal system of the Church and other religions/ideologies? Many women tend to overlook that ”minute” detail or they justify it somehow to feel better about the whole process. What else can they do if entire society has been set a long time before their birth? We can only wonder why the ”fair sex” has problems with grasping their precarious position.

Secondly, most parents want to their progeny to see the sunlight. Once their child is born into this world, the perpetual cycle of despair continues. Behavioral thought patterns that govern the parents are then conferred onto an unsuspecting child before it can voice an opinion. After years of subtle – and not so subtle – conditioning of which the parents are unaware of, it is virtually impossible to think for ourselves. The victims become perpetrators. Father tells his son to ”treat women well” and ”protect them at all cost” while the mother tells her daughter to ”look for her knight in shining armor” and ”wave her handkerchief whilst her husband marches off to fight the bad guys.” The meme ( a belief spreading akin to a virus ) takes over human lives and thrives, wreaking havoc throughout society. But society is always there to make sure proper terms exist to label people causing problems.

Thirdly, society needs the institution of marriage. Without the latter, it would not be able to sustain itself. No population, no people working for the elderly, et al; chain reaction set in motion. Homosexuality is stigmatized because it leads to societal collapse – not enough people to perform basic functions necessary to maintain the status quo. The way homosexuality is stigmatized involves various tactics, but the underlying principle remains the same: the societial edifice is a selfish creation. Akin to SkyNet, it needs categories, it needs labels. It is a virus which connects everyone under the same umbrella. To see how strong this virus is, just watch a movie depicting an embarrassing situation when others are around you. What is your reaction? Most people would feel rather awkward despite the fact that nothing is really happening to them. Why?

Fourthly, there are different styles of marriage. In some countries, polygamy is the norm but husbands need to make sure his wife is financially secure. Polygamy can also become a dreary custom when dealing with deranged individuals, such as Warren Jeffs who threatened women with eternal damnation if they did not satisfy his sexual needs.

To conclude, there is nothing wrong with the idea behind marriages. It is the execution (sic?) that counts. Two ‘’soulmates” can form a union from which prolific riches spring. The definition of ‘’soulmate” as well as what constitutes a ”couple” – these notions are not easy to answer and each culture is going to offer a multitude of arguments as to why they are the only ones who got it all right. The more pervasive a meme is, the more it appears that we are dealing with tacit knowledge rather than speculation set in stone by repetition.

Indeed, are we just walking automatons playing out the message programmed into us by society? If so, who has programmed the programmer?
