Efter Klabbes två underbara mail så kan jag inte låta bli att bjuda på denna underbara bild från katastrof-säsongen 2001/2002.

#18 Jyrki Louhi (som för övrigt var/är en usel hockeyspelare) sänker Brynäs IFs #21 Ove Molin med en skön pärla i ansiktet…

Den som är observant ser att Jyrki glömde att slänga handskarna. Detta var lite av ett signum för denna finska “supervärvning” signerad Hjallis Harkimo. Jyrki Louhi lyckades egentligen inte med någonting alls i AIK-tröjan förutom att spela AIK ur Elitserien, bara för att sedan dra vidare till skitklubben HPK i SM-Liiga.

Men vad hände efter smällen då ? Jo, Ove Molin däckade och AIK lyckades vinna matchen med 3-0 inför 4.329 supportrar söndagen den 4:e november 2001.

It is a well known fact that unless you are a teenager, profess the oldest job in the world or otherwise possess dubious morals, and if you truly desire a child, a pregnancy will most definitely become more or less elusive.

The second HPT turned so very soon negative again. I mean, in literally seconds! It could have spared me a bit of sympathy and linger a bit more before crushing my hopes again, couldn’t it? Well, no, because HPT are not in that business.

Coming back to the first paragraph, I was brushing today’s newspapers. Now, let’s make one thing very clear – I consider Daily Mail one of the typical garbage tabloids, people writing there are so smug, stupid, arrogant and otherwise ignorant of the real world and have various trashy ideas up their chimney that just do not make my kite fly. But sometimes, when I feel like some cheap amusement could make me feel lighter, I flip through DM. For some reason, I did it this morning. What did I find on the front page? This! I don’t want to delve into the matter of right or wrong. I just want to mention that this woman had 6 children in 18 years. I am pretty sure she did not have any problems at all, she did not miscarry, nothing. Ok, I did not bother reading the entire article, just the begging, and I quit. I hate this!

The more I want it, the less I am allowed to have it, ain’t it right?

Now I am having some cramps who are getting serious, apparently. Plus hot and cold waves. And the queasiness that misleads me constantly. But this does not mean that I am pregnant, only that AF is ready to come visit. I am stuck in a moment and can’t get out of it.

LATER EDIT – AF came. Plain waste of two HPT. I hope I can stick to the decision I am taking right now not to test again next time. Hopefully I will be able to tell from other sources. But I hope I will not test again.

To test or not to test

That is the question.

Based on my previous cycles, I reached the 30th day and could test to see if I am pregnant or not. Based on the latest cycle, post D&C, I should wait 3 more days.

Now, I have one pregnancy test I have left from ‘before’. I said to myself that I will keep this one until I am almost pretty sure I am pregnant so that can be THE BFP I had been waiting for. And if it is not the time yet to test, I will waste it and thus ruin my perfect get back pregnant plan.

It’ silly, I know. But this does not give my a clue as to when to test. Of all the symptoms, I am only tired, very tired, and tend to pee a bit more often than normal, otherwise no other sign.

Will try to keep myself occupied and not test yet. Will I just spare myself some heartache?

LATER EDIT – Well, I couldn’t wait. It’s a Big Fat NEGATIVE. DAMN!!

Pre-Positive Test Symptoms

Before I got my BFP, I scoured the internet for everyone’s earliest pregnancy symptoms. I also jotted down things I was feeling during the TWW:

Positive OPK
4 dpo – Nauseous (Normal progesterone rise after ov?)
5 dpo – Breast pain, brown cervical mucus, slight cramping.
8 dpo – Acne starting, feeling of “squeezing” in abdomen I’ve NEVER felt, it was weird!
9 dpo – Extra hungry, big headache.
10 dpo – Pinching feeling in abdomen, vivid dream, very thirsty – FAINT BFP
11 dpo – Faint BPF in am, definite BFP in evening!

Hi everyone! This is my first post and is to introduce myself. Call me Pie! I’ll refer to my dear hubby as “J” and any other “characters” in my life by initials as well. J and I decided in May of this year (2008) to start trying for a family. I went of birth control, and we just “let things happen.” By September, we put a little more effort into it, I guess you could say, but trying to time things really well.

I have long cycles (around 30-34 days) so I believe I ovulated around day 18. I had thought about charting temps, but during our “lucky” cycle I had just monitored my cervix position/opening and cervical mucis. Well, whatever we did this time worked!

I got a faint, faint positive at what I think was 10 dpo, with a darker one 11 dpo confirmed later by a positive digital test. If you’re wondering what hpks I used, mostly internet cheapies and then a Clear Blue Easy digital. I told J the next night, which was a Friday. We were in Yosemite for our anniversary, so to tell him I gave him little shoes (size one converse allstar hightops, to be precise!) as an early anniversary gift. I think he was very happy.
