As mentioned, because the place I’m currently living at in Vancouver is being leveled “gentrified” into a spanky new “heritage” townhouse development at the end of the month, I’m going to be moving back to Victoria next week, so posting will likely be pretty much non-existent for a little while except for occasional comments and mundane Tweets.

Feel free to use this as an entirely unconstrained “open thread” if you like, or just aimlessly goof off trying your hand at the HTF Milk Pong Game…

I was lucky to find a few of these Dairy Deliveries with the Larry Woods Initials on them. I really dig the casting so the initials sweeten the pot!

Granted with jobs being scarce and financial resources being low, there are agencies that will help out in regards to food. The Hunger Task Force is a non-profit group that runs on donations to help others in times of need. There site is located at http://www.hungertaskforce.org/ .

The site is full of information in regards to getting food assistance through multiple methods. Here are a few sources one can use for assistance.

1. Dial 2-1-1. This is can be used to help you locate a local kitchen or food pantry if you are low or have no food at all. This can be dialed from any regular house phone in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Cell phones and Pay Phones (414)773-0211 or toll free at (866) 211-3380.

2. Women, Infant, and Children (WIC). This is a program that all parents qualify if they meet specific income requirements. For example for a family of one, if you make under 19,000 you qualify. To see eligibility requirements, and what WIC covers please check out Wisconsin’s WIC Site.

So please check out these resources and share them with others. Also be aware that some food pantries have time limitations where you can only utilize them every 6 months or so. Also be sure to bring proper identification, and proof of address. These places need this information not to be picky, but for record keeping and who they support.

The Senator Theatre memorabilia sale continues and more rare items, long in storage, once again see the light of day!

If you or someone you know is a movie fan/fanatic, they should visit the theatre to peruse the plethora of film related collectibles! Some are priced, other extremely rare items are the subject of silent auctions.*

The Classic Packard is definitely one of those memorable “old time” gangster cars from the Bugsy Sigel and Al Capone flicks. Larry Woods and Hot Wheels captured it essence in the new school line called Larry’s Garage. This is the second color installment of this Packard, the first being a letdown orange color. I think the red sets the car off along with the red colored hubs wrapped in white wall rubber tires. And lucky for me this happens to be one of the “chase” vehicles with Larry Woods Initials on the base.

I also picked up this tough looking Larrys Garage Bone Shaker. The gold spokes sets this car off! Along with the other gold accents. This casting has always caught my eye since its debut, but no even more so with the attention to detail with the colors and graphics. The purchase was a no brainer for me.

From my understanding Larry’s Garage is a tribute to the man,the myth, the legend in the diecast world. Mr. Woods has received his own line to showcase the pieces he has designed,had a hand in working on, or just his favorite castings.

A BLAST from the past! I scored these off the net super duper CHEAP! almost 75% off retail cost! I still can’t believe the deal I got! These were released way back in 2003 almost before I collected diecast seriously, and definitely at the BIRTH of my Super GT/JGTC infatuation. They are limited to 3000 pieces worldwide. And better than that I was able to get 2 sets of them and some NISMO boxed Fairlady Z’s and A prototype Fairlady Z. Unbelievable!!

2009 has brought several new lines for Mattel Hot Wheels. The neatest so far is the Larrys Garage line. There is a “chase” version in this line. The chases are defined by Larry Woods signature / Initials on the base of the car. I found a 1957 Chevy the other day with the signature on the base.

Det hender jeg henger litt rundt på amerikanske neglesider og en av de jeg er på, har OPI MPJ (OPI My Private Jet) dag i dag. Det vil si at alle som har den neglelakken i sitt eie oppfordres til å ta den på i dag 17/11. Nå er det nok ikke så mange fra den siden som kommer i fra Norge, men jeg kastet meg på hypen likevel. My Private Jet fra OPI er en farge som OPI har sluttet å lage, det betyr at den etterhvert vil bli vanskeligere å få kjøpt (eller umulig, alt etter hvor fort evilbay-selgerne går tom).

My Private Jet kom i Night Brights kolleksjonen til OPI sommeren 2007 og ble veldig populær, spesielt siden den hadde hva de kaller en holografisk effekt, som i neglelakk betyr at den har bittesmå korn med regnbuefarger i seg. Når du har den på neglene så ser den røyksort ut, i skarpt lys og fra enkelt vinkler så ser du plutselig regnbueskimmeret i den, veldig fint!

Den lille morsomme tvisten på denne historien er at da alle de neglelakkgale damene skulle hamstre inn denne lakken etter at de fikk vite at den ikke skulle produseres mer, så oppdaget de at de nyeste flaskene slett ikke hadde den holografiske effekten, den var røyksort med litt gyldent skimmer i. For en skuffelse for enkelte.

Jeg kjøpt min nylig og forventet å motta den sist produserte fargen og var egentlig fornøyd med det siden mange likte den også veldig godt. Gleden var derfor stor da jeg oppdaget at jeg hadde fått en flaske av den orginale MPJ.

Som de fleste andre med denne effekten så er det omtrent umulig å greie å ta et bilde som viser hvordan den egentlig ser ut, men jeg gjorde likevel et forsøk.

اولش با دو تا از زیبا ترین زنگ های موبایل شروع می کنم که اولی 9 ماه زنگ گوشی خودم بود و بعد وقتی در یک جایی دیدم کس دیگه ای داره بیخیالش شدم هرچند خدا ذلیل بکنه کریس براون را چون موزیک ویدیو این آهنگ باعث شد معروف بشه و دومی هم که فعلا زنگ گوشیم هست و جایگزینی مناسب برایش پیدا نکردم تمی بسیار زیبا داره شده که در یک فروشگاه یا جایی در خیابان گوشیم زنگ خورده و ملت که شنیدند طالب شدند که زنگ را براشون بلوتوث کنیم. به همه دخترایی که از این بلاگ بازدید می کنند توصیه می کنم این زنگ زیبا را دانلود کنند.

خوب دوشیزه شین فرموده بودند که براشون سوغاتی عکس خنده دار بیاریم از اونجایی که برنامه ما کنسل شد و به شهرضا نرفتیم من دو تا عکس از مسابقات روبوکاپ قزوین قرار می دهم بالاخره شهرضایی ها استاد قزوینیان عزیز هستند و هر دو شهر مشهور به یک چیز هستند.

از بین تیم های مختلف شرکت کننده در مسابقات قزوین گروهی از دخترها بودند که زودتر به جمع دوستانه مسابقات پیوستند (جدا جو خیلی عالی بود روز اخر قبل از اختتامیه بیشتر تیم ها باهم دوست بودند) توی اون گروه دختری بود که از همه بیشتر به جوش بود و راحت تر خلاصه روز آخر تولد ایشون بود و بچه ها تصمیم گرفتند هدیه ای به رسم یاد بود بدهند و از اونجایی که امکانات کم بود و تخصصی با یک قوطی رانی و مقادیری سیم استخوانی ، کاغذ ، چسب برق ، قلع و ….
