Her kommer en forsinket rapport om stemningen til kampen mod Slagelse på Horsens Stadion d. 8. november 2009.

Dette var den første kamp, hvor vi har været fuldtallige. Hurra for det!
Som altid var alle fanklubbens flag nede ved siden af buret, hvor de ikke gjorde den store nytte rent stemningsmæssigt. Skandaløst, at folk, der vil skabe stemning på et stemningsafsnit, bliver forvist fordi “man ikke kan se noget for flagene”. Ganske enkelt tragisk. Så der var ikke den store tifo fra fanklubben af, udover en gennemsnitlig halstørklæde-tifo under “Vores ACH”, som nogle af os gik glip af, fordi vi skulle have os en lille snak med vagterne udenfor stadion fordi vi simpelthen bare er nogle farlige folk.

Men vi kom da ind med livet (og vores tifo) i behold. Og der gik heller ikke længe fra vi kom ind til udeholdet kom på banen tæt forfulgt af den sædvanlige pibekoncert.

Så var det De Gules tur. Da vi kun var fire (og stadig fuldtallige), kunne vi ikke få gang i al vores tifo. Men tre flag og et topindsbanner røg i luften under indløbet. Vores tifo og børnenes tifo nede ved buret var det eneste, der var værd at se på fra Horsens’ side. Slagelse Fanatics (og de andre fraktioner) virkede ret så anonyme hele kampen igennem. Nogle flag under indløbet har det eneste, man umiddelbart så til dem hele kampen igennem. Og man hørte da slet intet.

Stemningen under kampen var gennemsnitlig. Vi skabte rimelig god stemning på Øst på trods af, hvor få vi var. Vi sang igennem på alle de sange, vi kunne genkende oppe fra YC og sang også et par af vores egne. Vi hoppede betydeligt mere end dem på YC, der kun hoppede en enkelt gang under hele kampen. Fin stemning blandt os. Hvis vi dog bare var nogle flere…

Kampen endte 4-0 til Horsens, og sejren var mere end almindeligt velfortjent. Stemningen gennem hele kampen var middelmådig og skuffende i forhold til hvor stor sejren var, og hvor godt Horsens’ spil på banen var i forhold til Slagelses.

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. It’s noon here in Hawaii and after getting up at 4 am for a 20 mile run my agenda for the day is to laze around, watch movies, read, and eat. In no particular order!

So far I’m definitely improving on the intuitive eating front. It’s a work in progress for sure. For so long if I was hungry at a time that seemed abnormal to me I would just eat whatever, and that’s a hard habit to break. My meals and planned snacks were always well balanced and delicious, I just need to extend that thinking on a 24/7 basis.

Anyway, I love huge jass salads as much as the next blogger. But the other day I got a little overambitious…

That would be a salad with orange slices, avocado, chopped carrots, grated beets, broccoli, and cottage cheese mixed with flax. I think the broccoli was pushing it, as the flavor seemed out of place. I love the orange/avocado/beet combo, though. The flax was a great way to add a nutrition boost to the cottage cheese, so I give myself credit for a solid effort.

But I did make an amazing pancake combo the other day. I got some Quaker oatmeal pancake mix, but I couldn’t decide if I wanted peanut butter or yogurt as a topping. Why not do both with the magical PB2? I’ve tried mixing yogurt and PB2 before, but it didn’t taste sweet enough for me. But this time I added just a tad of stevia. Perfection!

I also added some sliced banana. Oh stevia, how I love thee.

Inspired by my recent care package from Navitas Naturals (thanks Mic!), I made another awesome pancake platter.

I spread some coconut oil on the pancakes:

And mixed teaspoon of acai powder mixed in yogurt with a little stevia.

I also added sliced banana and shredded coconut. The crap kitchen lighting doesn’t do this picture justice, but it was delicious! There is a pancake under there, I promise. I loved the delicate flavor of the coconut oil and I’d love to experiment with the acai powder to create my own acai bowl. Acai bowls are very popular in Hawaii–it’s basically a smoothie in a bowl with banana slices and granola. Navitas Naturals makes many other superfood products I’d love to try, especially maca powder and mesquite. Definitely check out this company’s catalog.

In other news, 20 miles down! Today I ran most of the Honolulu Marathon course, which has beautiful views and is thankfully very flat besides a small Diamond Head incline. I’m feeling more and more confident about race day! Post run we stopped at Jamba Juice, and I know the blog world would appreciate their seasonal menu item: Pumpkin Smash! It was basically a pumpkin pie smoothie. A little sugary, but I needed it after a long run, right? I added some extra nutrition with a free soy protein boost. Definitely try the pumpkin smash before it’s out of season!

Alright, must run, I have a very important date…with my computer. To watch episodes of Glee. Thank you blog world for introducing me to this show, because I am generally not pop culturally savvy enough to follow current TV show trends (I’m always a season behind, at least). So thanks!

Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, dass es wieder viele gute Noten in der HÜ gab und dass auch einige die Chance genutzt haben und durch die Zusatzaufgaben die Note der letzten HÜ verbessert haben.

Aber leider gibt es auch wieder ein paar, die scheinbar gar nicht wissen, was sie eigentlich machen sollen, wenn sie Brüche vor sich stehen haben.

Hier jetzt nochmal eine Mini-Zusammenfassung der Addition (und Subtraktion), da es da mehr Schwierigkeiten zu geben scheint:

Brüche werden addiert (bzw. subtrahiert), indem man sie erst gleichnamig macht (mithilfe des kgV). Dazu erweitere ich einen Bruch (oder auch beide), indem ich Zähler und Nenner mit der gleichen Zahl multipliziere. Schließlich werden die Zähler addiert (bzw. subtrahiert) und der Nenner beibehalten. Eventuell kann ich jetzt kürzen oder einen unechten Bruch in einen gemischten Bruch umwandeln.

Es gibt mal wieder Bildungsproteste im Land. Ein klitzekleines Bisschen wagen also ein paar lose Grüppchen den Papst, also die Regierung, anzupupsen während sie eigentlich versuchen ihre eigene Stimme und ihre Rechte zu finden.

Ja, das Studium ist hart, zeitaufwändig, nervenzerreissend, ein vampirartiges Biest welches einen aussaugt und am Ende weiß man als braver strebsamer Karrierist, äh, Student nicht einmal ob es sich überhaupt lohnt. Frechheit! Der Hammer! Da müssen wir was tun! Oder? Oder vielleicht doch nicht? Kostet doch alles Geld am Ende. Wer immer gegen den Strom schwimmt, – kommt nicht weiter.

Die Revolution in Deutschland wird nicht stattfinden,
weil man dazu den Rasen betreten müsste.

War das Studium nicht einmal soetwas wie die Zeit für die Entwicklung des Charakters? Die Zeit in der man die Welt, das Leben, die Menschen, Tiere und eigentlich alles was wahrnehmbar ist, – näher kennenlernt? Nein? War es schon immer geprägt von Leistungsdruck und Wettbewerb? Ging es grundsätzlich immer darum “Bulimie Learning” zu betreiben? Hmm, muss verdammt lange her sein als es einmal anders zuging.

Tja, jedenfalls empfinde ich die Bildungsproteste als süss. Nicht mehr als süss, weil sie nicht tief genug gehen. Sie hinterfragen nicht genug. In unserem wirtschaftlichen System geht es nicht darum die Menschen charakterlich reifen zu lassen, ihnen Zeit zu lassen gewisse Zusammenhänge, auch in unvorstellbaren Größenordnungen, nachvollziehen zu lassen, – es geht darum fähige Fachidioten für die Industrie zu schaffen.

Dazu wird keine finanzielle Unabhängigkeit der Studenten gebraucht, das wäre viel zu teuer, dazu wird das Turbostudium gebraucht, damit es schneller Menschenmaterial für die Maschinerie gibt. Damit aber nicht jeder Idiot zum Fachidioten mit akademischen Hintergrund werden kann, diese Ausbildung ist schliesslich auch horrend-teuer, gibt es nunmal Zugangsbeschränkungen die allerorts als unheimlich sinnvoll bezeichnet werden. Am Ende hätten wir ja sonst sogar noch mündige Bürger die die Mächtigen und Herrschenden abschaffen, so gehts aber nun wirklich nicht!

Ihr wollt eine “Demokratisierung des Bildungssystems” habt aber noch nicht einmal an eine “Demokratisierung” der Politik, Wirtschaft usw. gedacht, – warum nur? Könnte das irgendwie mit dem Satz über die Mächtigen und Herrschenden zusammenhängen? Was hat uns Dutschke da vor 40 Jahren erzählt? Naja, scheißdrauf wir tun mal so als würden wir was gegen irgendwelche arg-lästigen Sachen machen, yeah! Man sind wir coole Bildungspiraten!

Menschenrecht auf Bildung? Ich kriegs kotzen alter! Es gibt auch ein Menschenrecht auf Nahrung, trotzdem verhungern täglich tausende Menschen, – scheint auch keinen zu interessieren. Wieso sollte dann also Bildung interessieren? Wieso sollte Bildung mit derart verblendeten Aktionen funktionieren, wenn sie nicht einmal zu reflektieren vermag, wessen Kind sie ist?! Wessen Brot ich ess, dessen Lied ich sing! Ja, so ist das und keinen störts.

Opinion: China has a President Hu, now Europe chooses President Who?

The process of elimination that led to Van Rompuy’s appointment represents all that is institutionally wrong with the European Union.

LONDON, U.K. — Two weeks ago, after eight years of politicking, voting — including one do-over to make sure the right result was achieved — the European Union’s Treaty of Lisbon was finally ratified.

One of its key provisions was the creation of the post of president. For once the people of Europe were genuinely interested in the doings of their union. Thursday night the EU’s first president was named and the EU went back to sleep. The winner is: Herman Van Rompuy, prime minister of Belgium.

Haven’t heard of him? Neither have most Europeans. One who has, Marie-Noelle Lienemann, a socialist member of the European Parliament, described Van Rompuy as “tasteless, odorless and colorless.”

Well, he is a bit more than that. He is an economist by training with a long career in Belgian public life as a member of the right-wing Christian Democrat Party. A year ago when he became Belgium’s prime minister his bifurcated nation was on the verge of splitting apart on ethnic lines and his emollient — or dull — personality is credited with dampening the tension between the Flemish and Walloon populations in the tiny country. Whether that same emollience is what the EU presidency is really all about no one is sure of.

The Lisbon Treaty is vague about what the president is supposed to do, besides chair summits of the EU’s 27 member states. But there has to be something else important because the job pays unbelievably well. Van Rompuy’s salary will be between 300,000 and 350,000 euros per year. At the current rate of exchange that is up to $100,000 more than U.S. President Barack Obama makes … and Van Rompuy doesn’t have to worry about 3 a.m. calls about nuclear triggers going missing in Pakistan.

Beyond the money, the very vagueness of the job description made it an attractive proposition for a number of former leaders of European countries including British Prime Minister Tony Blair who wanted the job — badly. Blair wanted to shape the presidency in his own image and give the EU a much larger presence on the world stage. Currently the organization’s main international function is to provide large sums of money to underwrite diplomatic deals reached by its biggest members: Germany, France and Britain.

The process of elimination which led to Van Rompuy’s appointment represents all that is institutionally wrong with the European Union. The EU’s democratic deficit has often been noted. President’s are usually elected by the public — not this time. The deal giving Van Rompuy the job wasn’t cut in the traditional smoke-filled back room. Rather German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicholas Sarkozy — neither of them a smoker (in public anyway) — had dinner on Wednesday night to decide who they would back from the field of possibilities.

The US and China, the world’s two biggest polluters, today said they aimed to set targets for easing greenhouse gas emissions next month, potentially breathing new life into the flagging Copenhagen climate negotiations.

Days after the US president, Barack Obama, said time to secure a legally binding agreement had run out, he and the Chinese president, Hu Jintao, agreed at a summit that they would continue to press for a comprehensive deal at Copenhagen that would “rally the world”.
