A utilização de linha de comando no linux é algo tão comum como o ofertório na missa da igreja católica. Todo mundo usa, e cada um tem seu motivo. O problema, é que as vezes o processo que a gente inicializa demora (ou custa) tempo de mais e você é obrigado a esperar, seja o resultado da computação, ou um arquivo baixado do torrent. Não importa. Quando você habilita um job dessa maneira (via linha de comando), geralmente você deve manter a seção, ou a conexão (ssh, ftp, etc), aberta para não matar o dito cujo. Eis o nosso ponto.

Nem sempre é possível manter esse fluxo aberto. As vezes você mesmo nem quer mante-lo. Deixar o pc de casa ligado por 2 semanas só pra ver se vai aparecer alguma entrada incorreta no programa não é das melhores soluções. Se você fechar a conexão, todos os processos ligados aos seu usuário vão embora junto (estejam eles em foreground ou background). Óbvio! Isso é feito pelo sinal de hang up, emitido pelo próprio sistema operacional.

Uma maneira de ‘driblar’ o hang up, é com a utilização do programa nohup, que provavelmente já deve estar instalado na distribuição linux que você esteja usando. Geralmente, se usa o nohup para rodar processos em background, estilo um daemon. A saída, que normalmente é impressa no terminal, vai para um arquivo chamado nohup.out, isto é, caso você ainda não tenha redirecionado o fluxo.

Depois é só fechar a conexão e abrir novamente, checar os processos e confirmar que o seu ainda continua em execução. Ufa!

Početna cijena u Hrvatskoj je stavljena na nisku razinu radi pojedinaca koji imaju novac. Kupit će jeftino oranice, na kojima će ulaskom Hrvatske u EU unosno zaraditi. Za hektar državnih oranica cijena je u rasponu 5500-22.800 kuna, dok kod privatnih vlasnika već ima cijenu 3-7 tisuća eura, prenosi Ezadar.hr.

Odluči li država prodati preostalih 494.513 hektara poljoprivrednog zemljišta iz svog portfelja (već prodano 38.189 ha), mogla bi utržiti 7-15 milijarda kuna, otkriva cjenik kreiran u Ministarstvu poljoprivrede Hrvatske. Za hektar oranica cijena je u rasponu 5500-22.800 kuna, ovisno o lokalitetima u županijama.

Ministarstvo je zapravo dalo početnu cijenu, dok Zakon o poljoprivrednom zemljištu kaže da se ‘kroz natječaj za prodaju ili zakup oranica maksimalno može izlicitirati dvostruki iznos početne cijene, prijeđe li se ta visina, ponuda je nevažeća.’

Stipan Bilić, direktor Sektora poljoprivrede u HUP-u, cjenik Ministarstva smatra ‘vrlo hrabrom odlukom u situaciji dok je nepoznat ključni parametar visina zemljišne rente.’ Kaže da EU nema jedinstven pristup ni renti ni cijeni pa hektar u Francuskoj stoji 4000 eura, a u Španjolskoj i 25.000 eura. U EU-15, navodi, hektar oranica kreće se 15-20 tisuća eura. Početna cijena, dvoji Bilić, u Hrvatskoj je stavljena na nisku razinu radi pojedinaca koji imaju novac. Kupit će jeftino oranice, upozorava, na kojima će ulaskom Hrvatske u EU unosno zaraditi, prenosi Ezadar.hr.

Slično misli i Frane Ivković, predsjednik Hrvatske voćarske zajednice. Mešetari bi se mogli domoći oranica čija će cijena po hektaru nakon što Hrvatska postane dio EU skočiti i do 30.000 eura, što se dogodilo u nekim novim članicama Unije. Hektar poljoprivrednog zemljišta u kontinentalnim županijama kod privatnih vlasnika (drže 70 posto zemljišta) već ima cijenu 3-7 tisuća eura, dok je duž obale skuplji i nekoliko puta. Vjerojatno, misli Ivković, zbog očekivane prenamjene u građevne zone. najskuplji poljoprivredni hektar za koji Ivković zna nalazi se u Istri, vlasnik traži 70.000 eura.

U pregovorima s EU Hrvatska iznosi podatak o 2,6 milijuna hektara poljoprivrednog zemljišta, dok statistika za 2008. spominje 1,3 milijuna hektara pod biljnom proizvodnjom. Rješavanje problema vezanih uz (ne)korištenje oranica i utvrđivanje tržišne vrijednosti poljoprivrednog zemljišta odvija se puževim korakom.

Skrb o državnom zemljištu i zapuštenim privatnim oranicama, odredio je zakonodavac, vodi Agencija za poljoprivredno zemljište koju je Vlada uredbom ‘papirnato’ osnovala 25. ožujka 2009. godine. Resorni ministar Hrvatske morao je u roku mjesec dana imenovati privremenog ravnatelja koji će Agenciju staviti u funkciju. Kolovoz curi kraju, a ime ravnatelja još nije poznato i sve je izvjesnije da će i 2009. proteći bez Agencije koju čeka golema zadaća.

Die Zahl der Beschäftigten in der kroatischen verarbeitenden Industrie fällt nach einer Mitteilung der kroatischen Vereinigung für Arbeitgeber (HUP) täglich um 150 Personen, was bis zum Jahresende einen Verlust von bis zu 50.000 Arbeitsplätzen bedeuten würde.

Die HUP verlangt von der Regierung eine dringende Korrektur der Anti-Rezessions-Maßnahmen, da die kroatische Industrie sich bereits heute schon am Rande eines Kollapses befindet. Die Betriebe haben bereits in zahlreichen Fällen die Löhne und Gehälter der Mitarbeiter eingefroren und vereinbarte Gehaltserhöhungen nicht angepasst. Des Weiteren wurden die Investitionen gekürzt bzw. in Teilbereichen vollständig gestrichen. Die Arbeitgeber verlangen von der Regierung auch die Lohnnebenkosten zu senken und auch die öffentlichen Abgaben für Betriebe an die Gemeinden und kommunalen Dienstleister zu reduzieren.

Die HUP stellte in der vergangenen Woche ein Maßnahmenpaket zusammen was der Regierung vorgeschlagen wurde um einen Weg aus der Krise zu finden. Unter anderem wurde vorgeschlagen einen Garantiefonds für die von der Krise erfassten Unternehmen einzurichten, welche es ihnen ermöglicht Darlehen von Geschäftsbanken und der Förderbank HBOR zu erhalten. Außerdem wurde eine fristgerechte Zahlung öffentlicher Aufträge angemahnt, da eine Vielzahl von Betrieben erheblich lange auf die Zahlungen der Kommunen und deren Dienstleister warten müssen. Überlegungen zu einem arbeitsfreien Freitag mit dem die Lohnkosten um 20% gesenkt werden können wurden ebenfalls präsentiert.

Unter den von der HUP befragten Unternehmen haben 83% im Zuge der Krise Marktanteile verloren, ca. 59% Schwierigkeiten bei Finanzierungen, ca. 16% bereits Liquiditätsprobleme. Von den eingeleiteten Maßnahmen der Unternehmen nannten der HUP 33% der Betriebe die Reduzierung des Personals, 39% haben die Gehälter eingefroren, ca. 15% haben die Gehälter bereits reduziert, ca. 45% haben ihre Marketingkosten reduziert und ca. 30% haben die Preise ihrer Produkte reduziert.

Das Kroatien sich in einer der schwersten Krisen des Landes befindet lässt sich heute nicht mehr leugnen. Die Frage ist lediglich wie hart es noch kommt und wie schnell kommt die Kroatische Wirtschaft überhaupt auf die Beine. Bisher ist keine klare Linie der Regierung erkennbar und auch fallen die Reaktionen und Maßnahmen eher spärlich aus. Es entsteht der Eindruck, dass es dem Land an vernünftigen Konzepten fehlt und die Belastungen aus der Vergangenheit und das Festhalten an alten Strukturen einer Lösung im Wege stehen.

A new study performed by the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine reveals that the hospital where patients are cared for after suffering from a cardiac arrest is a key factor in their chances of survival. It was found that hospitals with more resources and higher volumes in dealing with heart-related issues have better patient outcomes.

“We are describing the variability that exists in cardiac arrest outcomes – not at the level of the patient but at the level of the hospital. Hospitals with more resources and hospitals with higher volumes have better outcomes,” Brendan Carr, MD, an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine and Epidemiology, and associate director of the Division of Emergency Care Policy & Research says. “There are two possible implications:  Either we need to get everyone up to speed on how to optimize survival, or we need to selectively transfer patients to hospitals that have expertise in the post-arrest period.”

Just so Horizon members are aware-the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania was named one of the top 10 hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report in July 2008.  It also ranked HUP as the highest in the Philadelphia region when it came to cardiac care.

What does an inter-cultural church culture look like?

Don’t let that important question confuse you or keep you from reading further.

I am of Sarah Palin’s generation — the first to experience integrated schools, little league for boys AND girls, and no memory of Jim Crow laws or male chauvinism. Our world has always had nuclear weapons proliferation, rampant divorce, and the possibility of legal abortion.

This extensive social change impacted the churches I have known — people of different races, incomes and denominational origins worshiping together, men AND women leading and teaching. And also ever larger non-denominational congregations that do not expect to have any real authority as a rule of life or the center of an ethnic community.

What makes this interesting is that for a long time those who plant new congregations or who try to help congregations acquire more people have pursued what they call the H.U.P. (Homogeneous Unit Principle). The H.U.P. basically means that people who are alike are much more likely to “congregate” than people who are dissimilar.

So, at first glance, it appears that the H.U.P. has broken down.  It simply doesn’t mean as much to be Norwegian Lutheran once your family has lived in the States for four generations. But this is not true. I think the H.U.P. still holds because a new ethnicity is being mapped out in Red and Blue states, urban and rural and small town communities, and in mixed race families.

For instance, four of my nieces and nephews would qualify for minority scholarships when they enter college. Athough I myself am of Irish and German origin, they have Hispanic roots.

So how do I describe my family other than multi-cultural? Because I love them and have come to value this way of living I look for persons with similar life experiences and values. I become most comfortable in a place that looks like the classrooms, athletic teams, the workplace and the communities I have known. I want my church family to look like my family. Those of us with a multi-cultural ethnicity are just as H.U.P. oriented as those looking for other Greeks, other middle-class white people, or other Hmong refugees.

So, I ask my question again:  what does an inter-cultural church culture look like?  How do disparate and diverse bodies of believers begin to talk with one another, worship together, appreciate the gifts the other brings, or even cooperate in ministry?

The fact we seem to be stuck with the H.U.P. leads to a deeper theological question. Is homogeneity a reality rooted in humanity’s fallen state? I struggle to see it any other way and wonder how effective the church can be if we simply see it as a natural state against which no struggle should be offered. We are, after all, to be a people of EVERY tribe, language, people and nation (Revelation 5).

Rogers Wireless is allowing special Hardware Upgrades for customers who wish to purchase an iPhone 3G.

Rogers is allowing customers who have purchased a phone within the 1 year Hardware Upgrade delinquency period a chance purchase an iPhone 3G. If Rogers feels they can offer almost all customers the iPhone 3G for the $199/$299 price point until the end of August, they must have a large quantity of iPhones shipped from Apple. Its possible this offer is another response to overwhelming customer dissatisfaction, much like our 6GB data plan which was also added around a month ago. This is a great step for Rogers in allowing as many people to get their hands on the iPhone. I’m not sure if any other carrier is doing this, I don’t think AT&T has made any attempt at this so far.

Again, this offer is for any customer who were not eligible for a Hardware upgrade before. You can only get the iPhone with this offer, and the standard rates still apply. You will need to re-sign for another 36 months on your plans.
