The University of Washington basketball program got a big commit just a couple of days before Thanksgiving, and fittingly, he’s from Turkey.  Enes Kanter, a 6′ 10″ 240lb center, is currently playing ball for Stoneridge Prep in California, but made a name for himself while playing on the Turkish National Under 18 squad.  It was there that he was the MVP of the U18 European Championship, putting up 35 points and 19 rebounds in the championship game against Lithuania.  He turned down millions to play professionally in Europe in order to experience college basketball in the US and help him make the jump to the NBA.  It’s a big signing for the Huskies, who have tons of back court talent, but have been left with a bit of a void in the paint after Jon Brockman graduated.  This definitely softens the blow local 5 star center Josh Smith dealt Husky fans when he chose UCLA over UW.  Kanter was also considering UCLA, USC, among others.

Hinter seinem Haus, im Vorratsschuppen, hängt ein halber Elch. Seit acht Tagen. Wären es acht Wochen, würde auch das Björn Klauer nicht stören. Hier in Innset, weiß der deutsche Aussteiger, wird so schnell nichts schlecht. 250 Kilometer nördlich des Polarkreises, im Herzen Lapplands, am Ende der Welt, da besorgt die Tiefkühlung allein die Natur. Fast das ganze Jahr über. Nicht acht Wochen, nein „acht Monate lang herrscht bei uns strenger Winter“, sagt Klauer. Von Oktober bis Mai bleibt vor seiner Husky-Farm der See gefroren, der Schnee liegen, umgibt sein Blockhaus in der nordischen Wildnis nichts als weiße Wüste. Minustemperaturen von 30 bis 40 Grad sind dann keine Ausnahme, sondern die Regel.

So etwas kennt man aus dem Archipel Gulag. Aber Klauer befindet sich nicht in einem sibirischen Straflager. Er ist freiwillig in arktische Regionen gezogen. Noch mehr: Er genießt es. Der Mann, der in die Kälte kam, sagt unverfroren: „In Deutschland möchte ich nie mehr leben.“ Kein Traumjob, kein Luxusappartement, keine zehn Pferde könnten ihn zurückholen. Den Traumjob hat er schon. Teuren Appartements zieht er einfache Biwakzelte vor. Und was die zehn Pferde betrifft: Aus Innset bringen ihn höchsten s Schlittenhunde weg. Überallhin in die Wildnis. Ein Satz, mit dem ihn einmal das Skandinavien-Magazin Nordis zitierte, sagt alles: „Gebt mir Hunde! Gebt mir Winter! Den Rest könnt ihr behalten!“

Björn Klauer lebt nicht nur in, er lebt von der Kälte. Von seinen 50 Hunden, Mischungen aus Sibirien- und Grönländer-Huskys, die für das Leben in Polarregionen geschaffen sind. Von jenen, die seine Tiere brauchen, um diese Gebiete bereisen zu können – endlose Wüsten aus Eis und Schnee, in denen der Hundeschlitten das einzig nützliche Fortbewegungsmittel ist, weil alle technischen Segnungen des 20. Jahrhunderts hier von der Gewalt der Natur kläglich versagen. Und letztlich von jenen, die für einige Tage „Klauer auf Zeit“ spielen wollen. Die aus dem Alltagstrott der Zivilisation ausbrechen und in der letzten unberührten Wildnis Europas lernen möchten, was sie entweder ver- oder nie gelernt haben: Ursprünglichkeit zu spüren.

Nach 14 Jahren in Norwegen gilt der Deutsche unter den zahlreichen Veranstaltern von Husky-Touren in Skandinavien als besonders profiliert und populär. Für Günter Kläs aus Düsseldorf, einer der vielen Stammgäste, die Winter für Winter mit ihm auf Tour gehen, „ist Björn Klauer der Beste überhaupt. Das findet man sonst nicht, dass einer so professionell von A bis Z alles alleine macht: die Hunde züchten, die Schlitten anfertigen, das Hundegeschirr nähen. Und dann natürlich die absolut sichere Führung der Touren durch die Wildnis. Da weiß man wirklich, dass man in guten Händen ist bei einem, der alles mit Herz macht.“

Klauers Herz für ein Leben unter freiem Polarhimmel schlug schon, als er noch im Bürogebäude einer Hamburger Druckerei saß. Feuer gefangen für das Outdoor-Leben hatte er sogar noch früher, zu Schulzeiten. „Ich bin gerade 16 Jahre alt, als ich auf meiner ersten Wanderung entlang der Ostseeküste; von Kiel nach Flensburg, das Leben draußen kennenlerne. Diese Erfahrungen lassen mich nicht mehr los. Ich fühle mich erst richtig wohl, wenn nichts anderes um mich herum ist als die Natur, keine anderen Geräusche zu hören sind als die natürlichen und nichts anderes in der Luft ist als die Gerüche in der Natur. Ein Urlaub im Auto oder am Strand in der Sonne liegend befriedigt mich nicht, hinterlässt in mir nichts“, schreibt Klauer rückblickend in seinem ersten Buch „Norwegen zu Fuß“.

So berauschend solche Erlebnisse wirkten, so frustrierend war jedesmal die Rückkehr. Klauer konnte keinem Urlaub, „diesen maximal vierwöchigen Besuchen der Natur“, mehr etwas abgewinnen. Kaum hatte er „das zivilisierte Leben mehr oder minder abgestreift, dem Regen, Sturm oder der Kälte immer gleichgültiger“ gegenüber gestanden, war die schöne Zeit „auch schon um.“ In ihm wuchs ein Traum: „Einmal über alle vier Jahreszeiten hinweg, irgendwann, irgendwo ohne Unterbrechung die Natur zu erleben.“

Träume wie diese haben viele, den Mut zur Verwirklichung wenige. Aber wer gelernt hat, „die Güter, die die Natur uns anbietet, zu nutzen“, dem sind Existenzängste fremd. Klauer gab seinen Arbeitsplatz auf und durchquerte, ausgestattet nur mit den dürftigsten Habseligkeiten, Norwegen von Oslo bis an die russische Grenze zu Fuß und auf Skiern – in einer elfmonatigen, 3500 Kilometer langen Mammut-Tour. Fast ein Jahr lang lebte er, begleitet von seinem Schlittenhund Keito, nur in und aus der Natur, am „unteren Rand des Existenzminimums“, hat sich dabei aber „im großen und ganzen pudelwohl gefühlt“.

Es kam, wie es unausweichlich kommen musste: Nach einem Jahr in skandinavischen naturparadiesen zog ihn nichts mehr nach Deutschland zurück. „Was“, fraget er sich, „hatte ich dort eigentlich noch verloren – und was hatte ich hier nichtalles zu gewinnen?“ Aussteigen war beschlossenen Sache, Klauer ließ sich zunächst im nordnorwegischen Nyksund nieder, seine Freundin und heutige Ehefrau Jutta, mit der er die Söhne Jan und Morten hat, folgte ihm auf abenteuerlichen Wegen nach: Im tiefsten Winter überquerte sie in einem alten VW-Bus den Polarkreis. Heute hat sie eine Stelle als Sozialarbeiterin.

14 Jahre sind seitdem vergangen. Aus dem kleinen Hundegespann, das sich die Familie anfangs nur für Privatzwecke hielt, wurde eine große Husky-Farm mit professionellem Touren-Unternehmen, das Besucher aus ganz Europa anzieht. Und aus dem deutschen Einwanderer, der mit fast nichts in der Tasche kam, wurde der Schlittenhundkönig von Lappland.

Er hat seine Träume wahrgemacht. Jetzt erfüllt er die Träume anderer. Ein, zwei oder drei Wochen lang können seine Gäste mit ihm die nordische Tundra durchqueren, über zugefrorene Seen, über Berge, durch Birkenwälder – jeder mit eigenem Hundegespann. Der Tour voraus geht ein Einweisungstag, in dem Meister Klauer Anfänger in die Künste des Mushing, wie das Schlittenhundfahren im Fachjargon heißt, einweist, den Umgang mit den Huskys lehrt, Maßregeln für das Verhalten bei Schneesturm erteilt. Expeditionsleiter Klauer fährt dann mit dem Gepäckschlitten, auf dem er einen Kompass montiert hat, voraus und steuert in Tagesabständen Übernachtungshütten, auf manchen Routen auch Lappenzelte (Tipis) an. Erschweren schlechte Witterungsbedingungen das Vorwärtskommen, werden Biwakzelte aufgebaut. „Wir machen hier keine Rennen“, erklärt er, „es ist im Grunde völlig gleichgültig, ob wir eine Stunde früher oder später ankommen.“ Stress und deutsche Hektik muss man hier als erstes ablegen.

Abends am Lagerfeuer, wenn Klauer das zu Hause vorbereitete und dann tiefgefrorene essen aufsetzt, zeigt sich nebenher das erzählerische Talent des deutschen Jack London, der auch den abenteuerlichen Expeditionsbericht „Mit Huskys durch Lappland“ geschrieben hat. Noch spannender freilich wirken diese Geschichten, wenn man selbst mitten drin im Abenteuer steckt und Klauer persönlich zuhören kann, während er heißen Tee oder Grog vor dem Zelt schlürft, neben sich die an einem Stahlseil für die Nacht festgeketteten Huskys, die sich gerade zum Schlafen in den Schnee einrollen, um sich nichts al weite, weiße nordische Wildnis.

Spätestens da werden seine Gäste von einer Krankheit erfasst, gegen die keine Impfung mehr hilft: Klauer hat sie mit dem, wie er es nennt, „Schlittenhund-Virus“ infiziert. Und er warnt aus Erfahrung: „Wer davon erwischt wird, dem geht es wie mir – dann werden auch zwei Wochen Natur pur irgendwann nicht mehr genug sein.“

Calgary-based Husky Energy has found more oil in the White Rose field off Newfoundland, the company announced Monday.

It made the find in the North Amethyst area, about 315 kilometres east of St John’s.

Husky said the oil-bearing zone is 55 meters thick and appears to hold 60 million barrels of easy-to-refine crude.

“These results are very exciting and suggest that significant additional potential exists within the White Rose area,” said CEO John Lau in a release. “This potential will be further evaluated in our ongoing program of development drilling and near field exploration,” he said.

The company also announced it had acquired drilling rights on land adjacent to its holdings in North Amethyst.

Husky shares rights in the White Rose field with Suncor Energy, also of Calgary.

Husky’s shares rose 19 cents to $28.34 during midday trading Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Langsam aber sicher gewinne ich den Kampf gegen die Windmühlen und Verleumdungen. Leider, Leider, wenn nicht ein Wunder passiert, ist es für die Hunde allerdings zu spät, denn der angerichtete Schaden ist in vielerlei Hinsicht schon zu groß. Trotz zahlreicher Buchungen bleibt uns allen hier oben wohl nicht mehr viel  Zeit, denn Hilfe können wir ja wohl kaum erwarten…

Jeg elsker hunder, har alltid gjort det og kommer nok alltid til å gjøre det Det er så mye selskap i hunder…ingenting er vel koseligere enn å bli møtt av en logrende glad hund når man kommer hjem. De skjønner når man er lei seg, og de blir glad hver gang noen vil kose eller leke med dem! Jeg ønska meg alltid hund når jeg var liten, og vi fikk faktisk en golden retriever, men mamma var allergisk så vi måtte gi den bort, det var en utrolig trist dag. Etter det fikk vi katt som levde hos oss i 13 år, og jeg elsker katter også, men det er litt mer moro med hunder. For noen år siden fikk foreldrene mine en curly, det er en allergi vennlig hund, og hun er familiens maskott, og jeg elsker henne så høyt!!

Det er sånn hund vi har, og den er utrolig nydelig, snill og god. Det er den eldste av retrieverne, men ganske sjelden i Norge.Vår hund er aktiv, selskapssyk, rolig og litt sær! Hun er veldig tålmodig og det er aldri noe mas med henne. Hun elsker å bade, leke med pinner/bamser og kose!

Dette er en stor hund, men jeg synes de er nydelige. Det er en rolig, selvsikker og livlig hunderase. Trofast mot sin eier.

3 Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever
Disse hundene er utrolig nydelige og har veldig pent ansikt. Det er Canadas nasjonalhund, men er ikke så veldig vanlig i Norge. Rasen krever mye trim, og jeg har hørt den er krevende, passer ikke for folk som ikke er så vant til hunder. Den kan være skeptisk mot fremmede og for vilter med barn.

4 Weimaraner
Stor og atletisk hund, de er veldig vakre med den sølv/grå fargen sin. De er gode jakthunder, er livlige og litt sta! Trenger mye aktivitet.

5 Husky
Dette er utrolig vakre hunder med nydelige øyne. De er selvstendige, snille og sosiale. Trenger mye mosjon.

So I don’t know if any of you know this, but I’m a big girl.  Not necessarily in a figurative way, but definitely in a literal way.  I’m 5′10″, I have size 11 feet, wear a 44G bra, and weigh about 270 (+/- 10lbs).  And that’s not muscle.  I also have big hair.  Plus, I take after my mom’s side of the family, so am also big-boneded, in a German-stock stereotypical way.

So I’m a big girl.  Some might dare say “husky”, but if they did, I’m sure my passive aggressive self would find some way to make them feel bad about it.

But I’m coming to terms with that.  However, that is not the point of this drivel.

I’m not sure others are comfortable with it.  Sure, it’s true that if you have confidence in yourself, others pick up on it and you can almost trick people into believing that you are not as fat as you really are.  Wait, can you actually do that? 

But because a lot of people assume that fat people are automatically self-conscious and therefore should be complimented like walking on so many eggshells, I find it an interesting behavioral phenomenon.

For example, talking to an older man today that a lot of us around here know.  He saw a shirt on my desk from one of the companies we do business with.  I asked him if he wanted it because A) he would get more use out of it than I would because B) it was an XL and C) it was white.  I get stains on my black clothes, so white shirt + boob shelf + love of food = ruined shirt.

He told me it was too big for him, but I should keep it because it would fit me (how little did he know).  And then he proceeded to say, “you know, because you’re bigger than me” (no biggie – ha – he is kind of a little guy) and I agreed with him, and then he started stumbling, thinking he said something wrong and when he tried to “fix” the situation, I stopped him and said “it’s a no win situation.”

He laughed, and I explained to him no matter what he said at this point it was going to seem like either an insult or creepy.  And not because I would think it either way, but I could see the embarrassment welling up within him. 

Because even though his intentions were benign, the way society works sometimes is against those who are trying to be nice.  I believe he was honestly trying to compliment me (I think he actually said “you’re bigger, but it looks good on you” or something like that), but a few years ago, his statements would have made me feel terrible.  And I would have harped on them for at least a day.  But now, not so much.  Cuz I am a big girl – DUH.  Did you see my stats up there?

But it also reminded me of this woman who is on the new season of Tough Love.  If you’re not familiar with Tough Love, it is a reality show where a professional matchmaker (who can also be an incredible douche) brings 8 women who have dating problems to this house for a 10-week Boot Camp.  Check out the link if you want to learn about what their problems are, but I find it fascinating because I think all of us can relate to some of their behaviors, and it’s interesting to see them come to terms with them.

The person I am most interested in watching the development of is Jenna.  Jenna was overweight her entire life and just recently lost a lot of weight.  But she still thinks like her fat self.  When she watched men talk about their interaction with her, all she picked up on was what she thought were insults.  In actuality, they had great things to say about her, but she heard someone say “thick” or something to that effect, and she heard nothing else.

So she’s not fat anymore.  But she’s still insecure.  Big surprise, right?

And all she hears are insults, and completely missing the compliments.

I can totally relate.  I just hope she learns to love herself in the process, not just find love.  I’ll be watching, if and when I remember, to see what happens.

Google. It is no secret how much I love thee. However; I do think the autocomplete for your google search could use some work. How often are we the victim of typing in something perfectly normally, and google assumes that we are looking for something gross like monkey porn (I sware I was just typing monkey poop). Anyhow, there is now a website that has a a good compilation of googles hilarious autocompletes.

Despite grinding my teeth while sleeping, apparently I am not stressed out enough or at all because mosquitos attack me all the fricken time. It seems that mosquitos will not attack people that are emitting chemicals related to stress, because they think these animals/ people may be diseased or ill. Read more about this natural mosquito repellant. I’ll just have to install some booby traps around the house to increase my stress level.  Think the guy from SAW is available to redecorate my room?

Sure I laugh when people fall. Who doesn’t? Well if you like to watch people fall as well, I found yet another blog that is way better than mine: Way Better. Oh, and did I mention all the videos of people falling, are fat people? Yes there is a special place in Hell with my name on it, but please admit that you guys like i too. Of course it is aptly named fatkidsfalling.com, so you knew what you were in for.

And don’t think they won’t want revenge……. because they will.

If you’re in Ottawa and you love Huskies, you might be interested in fostering one for a couple months to help out.

We just learned from the Ottawa Citizen that several abused pregnant Huskies were recently seized from harsh conditions in Southern Quebec. They are now in urgent need of foster families to they can safely give birth. The dogs were being transported to Canada’s capital city this afternoon and are looking for temporary homes in the city.

Since they are pregnant they aren’t able to be vaccinated, the article in the Ottawa Citizen states. This means they can’t be left in a shelter or kennel.

If you can help out, there are a few requirements: you should have experience with dogs and the SPCA will do background checks to be safe. It’s a 6 week (minimum) commitment and someone needs to be home for the bulk of the day. The SPCA (Western Quebec) will pay the costs while the dogs are under foster care.

The dogs apparently arrived at the Petsmart on Merivale this afternoon. If you’re interested in helping out, check out the article in the Ottawa Citizen for more info or give the SPCA a call at 819-770-7722.

Akela and Anjou

Well aren’t we lucky, we got a double bill for Dog of the Week for a second week in a row. Meet Akela and Anjou, they were spotted leisurely trotting around the north end of the park with their owner in tow. Akele (on the left) is a six year old Husky Norwegian Elk Hound and her friend Anjou (on the right) is a two year old Jindo, both of whom love sharing their leashes. If you see them walking, make sure to hi.

Είμαστε αναμφισβήτητα υπεύθυνοι για την ύπαρξη τους και ακόμη περισσότερο για την κατάσταση τους. Τα αδέσποτα ζώα αποτελούν αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της πόλης. Εμείς πάντα περαστικοί από τους δρόμους και τις πλατείες, ενώ αυτά κυρίαρχοι του χώρου τους μας φιλοξενούν στα μέρη τους.

Οι μόνιμοι κάτοικοι των πλατειών και των δρόμων έχουν μπόλικους και διαφορετικούς χαρακτήρες. Υπάρχει ο επαίτης, που θα ακολουθεί όποιον κρατάει έστω και λίγο φαΐ ή θα κάθεται ήσυχος στην άκρη του τραπεζιού μιας παρέας που τρώει μήπως και καταφέρει με το γλυκό του βλέμμα να κερδίσει κάτι. Ο ευαίσθητος, που κάθε φορά που μας βλέπει, προσπαθεί να μας κάνει χαρές για να μας φτιάξει το κέφι και να μας βγάλει μακριά από την καθημερινή μας ρουτίνα και μιζέρια. Ο φύλακας, που κάτω από το άγρυπνο μάτι του ελέγχει όλους τους περαστικούς και όλα τα οχήματα. Ο αρχηγός που είναι υπεύθυνος για την ομαλή συμβίωση όλων τον υπόλοιπων αδέσποτων. Ο φιλόσοφος, που έχει καταλάβει το νόημα της ζωής και χαλαρώνει απολαμβάνοντας την ζωή του κάτω από τον ήλιο.  Ο σύντροφος, που χωρίς να μας έχει ξαναδεί, θα μας ακολουθήσει, θα μας εμπιστευτεί και θα μας στηρίξει αν το χρειαστούμε.

Όλους αυτούς τους έχουμε δει, τους γνωρίζουμε, μπορούμε να τους αναγνωρίσουμε όπου και αν τους συναντήσουμε. Ακόμη και αν ταξιδέψουμε στην άλλη άκρη του κόσμου, όταν βλέπουμε ένα αδέσποτο μας κάνει να αισθανθούμε σαν το σπίτι μας. Αλλά μια φορά στις τόσες συναντάμε έναν οικοδεσπότη που είναι διαφορετικός, δεν είναι σαν τους προηγούμενους που έχουμε δει μέχρι στιγμής. Τον τελευταίο καιρό έχω συναντήσει στο Παγκράτι, μία πολύ όμορφη μυστήρια σκυλίτσα.

Είναι ένα όμορφο θηλυκό Husky. Την πρώτη φορά που την είδα ήταν από το μπαλκόνι στο σπίτι μου. Διάσχιζε γοργά την διασταύρωση και με ταχύτητα ανέβηκε την Φρύνης. Αρχικά δεν μου πέρασε από το μυαλό ότι ήταν αδέσποτη, διότι είναι ένα σκυλί ράτσας. Απλά (χωρίς να κάνω πολύ σκέψη) θεώρησα ότι το αφεντικό της θα βρίσκονταν κάπου μπροστά και θα έτρεχε για να το φτάσει. Όταν όμως μια επόμενη μέρα την είδα ξανά, έψαξα να δω τον ιδιοκτήτη της αλλά τίποτα. Είναι μια αδέσποτη Husky σκυλίτσα! Έχοντας πλέον στο νου μου το σκυλί αυτό, παρατήρησα ότι καθημερινά έκανε βόλτες στο Παγκράτι. Μάλιστα μερικά από τα δρομολόγια της είναι σταθερά. Καθημερινά το απόγευμα ανεβαίνει την Φρύνης, ενώ τα πρωινά την βλέπω να πηγαινοέρχεται στην Ευτυχίδου! Κάποια φορά την είχα δει να κάνει βόλτες και στο Σύνταγμα. Αλλά πάντα, κάθε απογευματάκι, λίγο πριν νυχτώσει θα επιστρέφει, ανεβαίνοντας την οδό Φρύνης.

Δεν πέρασε πολύς χρόνος, πριν αρχίσω να ρωτάω και άλλα άτομα για το Husky αυτό. Η ξαδέρφη μου την είχε δει να πηγαινοέρχεται, φίλοι μου που κάθονταν σε καφετέριες είχαν παρατηρήσει πολλές φορές ότι έκανε τις ίδιες διαδρομές. Όλοι την είχαν δει, όλοι είχαν παραξενευτεί με το γεγονός ότι ένα Husky ήταν αδέσποτο. Οπότε αποφάσισα να την ακολουθήσω να δω που πάει, τι κάνει, ποια είναι τα λημέρια της. Διακριτικά για να μην την φοβίσω, ακολούθησα όλη της την διαδρομή. Πέρασε από διάφορα μαγαζάκια, φούρνους και εστιατόρια που της έδιναν λίγο φαΐ. Το έτρωγε με ταχύτητα, και μετά συνέχιζε το δρόμο της. Έφτασε έξω από το Ιπποκράτειο νοσοκομείο, όπου περίμενε έξω από την πόρτα. Μόλις νύχτωσε, πήρε το δρόμο του γυρισμού και γύρισε πίσω στο κατάλυμα της σε μια εγκαταλελειμμένη πολυκατοικία όπου το υποδέχτηκαν οι φίλοι της τα υπόλοιπα αδέσποτα της πολυκατοικίας. Την διαδρομή αυτή την έκανε κάθε μέρα. Ρώτησα μια νοσοκόμα στο Ιπποκράτειο για την σκυλίτσα αυτή, μου είπε πως το αφεντικό της είχε αρρωστήσει και ήταν στο νοσοκομείο αυτό που είχε κάνει εισαγωγή. Αλλά δυστυχώς μετά από ένα μήνα το αφεντικό της πέθανε. Η σκυλίτσα από τότε περιμένει κάθε μέρα απ’ έξω την στιγμή που θα επιστρέψει το αφεντικό της. Εντυπωσιάστικα και συγκινήθηκα από την αφοσίωση που έχει αυτή η γλυκιά παρουσία.

Today I’d like to talk about a cool-looking dog: the Siberian Husky.

I’ve been looking at and drawing animals recently, intending to accumulate images and techniques for MGC. Yesterday I tried to draw wolves, but I made them look like dogs instead. So then I drew dogs, trying to determine how to render them visually distinct from wolves and vice-versa. Ultimately I need to draw caricatures, like a cartoon wolf that looks more wolfy than a real one does.

Then I drew these two. Compare random pictures of the Siberian husky to those of wolves.

Is it just me, or does the husky actually look more predatory than its wild relative?

At first I wasn’t sure why I thought this, but then I guessed: because this dog resembles a walking shark.

…Not in detail, of course. But there are superficial similarities – most importantly the gray-on-top, white-underneath coloration. The dog’s fur makes it look super-sleek and fast, which both creatures, in fact, are. Even their eyes seem a little similar in black-and-bright color, but not in mood… husky always seem sad, while shark eyes always seem… open. And dispassionate.

No doubt wolves are actually better hunters. Still, there must be few tame animals who can boast that they still look as badass as their wild ancestors. In fact, do any others (besides, maybe, horses and falcons) qualify?

Entwöhnung der Welpen von der Muttermilch und ihre Umstellung auf ”feste” Nahrung hat begonnen. D.h. Eukanuba-Welpennahrung lange, lange eingeweicht und dann mit der Gabel zermatscht.
