It is not a crime to prepare yourself or defend yourself against a rogue government. It is a crime for that government to declare war on its Citizens

Our government has declared war on the Citizen militias without any provocation or evidence of a crime being committed.  The government is not happy with just calling us names and making wild accusations that aren’t true, no, they have resorted to full out war.  What is heartbreaking is that they are using the men in blue, cops, as their front line of defense.  Those we trusted have turned into armed bullies at the request of DHS and are coming after the Citizens of this country, (friends, family and neighbors), who choose to defend themselves against a rogue government gone horribly wrong.

The media parrots tell us that this militia group had intended to murder a police man.  Did they really?  No evidence has been brought to light.  The media parrots tell us that they were also going to use weapons of mass destruction, (Really?  Which ones? How do they know this for a fact?), were teaching the use and handling of explosive materials, and possessing a firearm (just one), during the commission of a crime, (what happened to due process?).  I say bullshit!

It is not a crime to prepare to defend yourself, your home, your friends, and family against deadly force used against you by outside forces.  It is a crime for our government to declare war on We the People.  The Declaration of Independence says it all!

These are not just words on a paper but a declaration that this is our right as free people! They are our foundations. How often have I written about the abuses in Washington lately? On a daily basis those in power abuse and missuse the power we have loaned them. They seem shocked that we would take our foundations seriously enough to prepare for what may come, and sooner rather than later by the looks of things.

The FBI has become nothing more than the muscle of the government, which uses felons to infiltrate and accuse honest people of crimes, so the government can then swoop down on them and make outlandish accusations.  Using terms like Seditious conspiracy, which can mean anything the government wishes it to, they use brutal force to take out those prepared to defend themselves and their loved ones.

TITLE 18 > PART I > CHAPTER 115 > § 2384

§ 2384. Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

This directly conflicts with the Declaration of Independence, which this country is founded on. We the People have the right, the duty, to call our government to account for the abuse of power it has shown on a daily basis.  And yet, our government refuses to answer us.  Why then should we not prepare ourselves for the war our government has declared on us?  Who is in the wrong here?  I do not believe it is the Hutaree Militia group who is committing a crime here.

As I read the headlines abounding on the internet I find myself totally disgusted with the media spin doctors.  Here are some examples of how the media convicts people without a trial:

Blah, blah, blah…  Worthless government mouth-pieces!  Forget the fact that our government is one of the bloodiest in the history of the world.  The current murder of innocent civilians in Iraq stands at between 95,822 – 104,529 and the death toll in Afghanistan stands at 869,720.  Some will say, “But that is war!”  Well, what do you think this is?  This is the war that the government has declared against its own Citizens.  And this is only the start.

I hope those militia members are aware that if they claim they do not agree instead of entering a plea, the government cannot legally do a damn thing to them.  To cop a plea is to agree that the government has a case against you.  Do not agree with them and they cannot try you!

Brittany Bryant is telling the truth.  Despite all the splashy, flashy, sky-is-falling headlines I’m seeing, it is much more honest than the headlines. They might sell papers, but they aren’t true news. Just more blah, blah, blah, hype and hypnosis for the masses! Give me a break. It would be ever so nice if we had some actual news anymore instead of the government sanctioned and spun nothing we get today.  Are there any journalists out there with the balls to tell the truth anymore?   Or have they all been castrated?

Casus Belli

Defensive use of lethal force against criminal aggression is morally legitimate and legally protected, even — no, make that “especially” — when the aggressor is clothed in the habiliments of the state’s punitive priesthood. This is not the view of some obscure, unsavory self-styled Christian militia group from Michigan. It is the long-established view of the United States Supreme Court as expressed more than a century ago in the ruling John Bad Elk v. The United States.

Simply put: As a matter of law, a citizen has an unqualified right to use lethal force to defend himself against a criminal assault by a law enforcement officer. This is not “sedition”; it’s stare decisis.

I read the entire article. It was an amazing piece about this incident with the militia group Hutaree.  I hope everyone will read it.  Mr. Grigg cites plenty of legal precedence to back his thinking up.  I like that.  I like knowing someone isn’t bullshitting me like the media spin doctors do.  I never watch the news or even local tv for that matter since it is full of government propaganda.  And I loath commercials to an extreme.

Now, I’m not a fan of Pastor Chuck Baldwin because he is usually far too much on the church side of things.  While I believe that everyone should have their right to say as they please, I find it more than slightly annoying to have God this and God that and scripture continuously in my face.  I have my own reverence for our Creator.   But for once, Pastor Baldwin said something I can agree with.

THE HUTAREE MILITIA RAID

If one wants to indict an “organization which advocates violence,” then surely the central government in Washington, D.C., should be indicted!

If Hutaree members were indeed planning AGGRESSIVE violence against anyone–in the government or without–they deserved to be stopped. If, however, they were simply preparing to DEFEND THEMSELVES against government overreach or abuse–and would only resort to violence in an act of lawful self-defense–they committed no crime and are but the most recent victims of federal abuse of power. This is a question that will doubtless be determined in a court of law.

Now we need to hope there is a court out there that isn’t a paid stooge of the government. I think this militia group hung out to dry, our government intends on getting their way. Or, let us hope that a jury of their peers understands that this is a government plot to discredit and malign the good Citizens of this country who choose to prepare themselves for what may–has–come at them.

The u.S. government has shown itself to be increasingly destructive and hostile to the needs and desires of a true Republic government.  One has only to view what is happening with the fraud and death administration, the EPA (now to be known on this blog as the exceptionally paid-off administration), or the new bills congress is trying to pass to take away food supplements and generic drugs and you get a sense of how corrupt this government has grown.  They have started wars without declaring those wars in direct conflict with how our Constitution says war is to be waged.  Creating terrorists out of the Citizenry and calling us Rightwing Extremist, then documenting that with: ” Current Economic and Political climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” is a declaration of war against We the People. So who exactly are the criminals here???

Roadblock at the Hutaree incident

When a government turns against their own people, who will stand for law and order, if it is those commissioned to protect and serve, who execute the criminal orders of a rogue government?  It is my belief that we will see more and more of this type of incident happening across the country.

What do we say to those the government uses as their muscle to make them see WE are not the problem?  I am at a loss for words.  Those with weapons of mass destruction are not tiny militia groups.  It is our government that has them.  Teaching someone the care and use of explosives is not a crime, but using them to harm innocent Civilians is.  Remember our governments despicable acts against Ruby Ridge?  How about Branch Dividian in Waco Texas?  Those groups did NOTHING.  It was our government who provoked and killed innocent women and children in our own country and then used the media to spin a tale of danger!

This is what our rogue government is truly about.  Branch Dividian had no tanks, but you see them here.  This is the governments’ intent for any Citizen who desires to return our country to its founding as a Republic, as a moral center of the world, and as a place where all can look to and feel safe.  This is what trust in our current government will get you.  And they wish to call us terrorists!

Those responsible for 9-11, dubya and cronies, still haven’t been punished for mass murder or brought to justice.  Lies and deceit were used to gain war, another terrorist action by our government, for profit and for the Iraqi oil fields.  The war in Afghanistan is not about Bin Laden, it is about killing our soldiers and having them occupied while the government here massacres and indicts the Civilian population.   The New World Order becomes impatient with We the People for standing up and declaring “We will NOT go quietly into slavery!”

Liberals in the media have been busy parading around Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center to bash the right. As befits his organization’s MO, Potok, pictured right in a file photo, has done the best he can to link recently-arrested militia members to the Tea Party movement and conservatism generally.

Potok’s job may have just gotten a bit harder, and the liberal media may need to find another way to discredit their political opponents. It turns out most of the militiamen were active voters, and at least one was a registered Democrat. Party registrations for the rest are not yet known.

The new facts undermine Potok’s thinly-veiled suggestions that Republican politicians and conservative pundits are at least indirectly responsible for militia activity. NPR, Keith Olbermann, and Chris Matthews may need to find a new issue with which to slander the right (h/t Prof. Reynolds).

  The leader of a Michigan militia group charged this week with conspiring to kill law-enforcement officers was described Tuesday as a private, family-oriented man who nurtured a festering mistrust of governmental authority, according to people close to the family.

“On the inside of this man’s brain, something evil lurks, and until you get to know him, you don’t know it,” said Andrea Harsh, who was engaged to David Brian Stone Sr. until the couple broke up last year.

She described Mr. Stone, a trim 45-year-old man who wears his whitish hair cropped short over spectacles and a bushy gray mustache, as having a “bubbly personality.” But he became consumed by the Hutaree, she said, a southeastern Michigan militia group that described its members as “Christian warriors.” Portrait Emerges of Militia Chief

You know the formula: an “introduction” with a thesis at the end that lays out three ideas to support the thesis (yes, the thesis of which they are a part—neat trick: use a rhetorical device to support itself), three “body” (as in dead, lying in the casket) paragraphs about the three supporting ideas, and then a “conclusion” that says once again what the three supporting ideas were as if to prove them true by repeating them.

Whew! What a tall order. Say something interesting or helpful or insightful or beautiful in that straight-jacket. I liken it to Paint-By-Numbers art. Think in threes, and don’t color outside the lines.

You will notice how many of my posts have three body paragraphs (you will also notice how many of them begin with a question to “hook” you, the reader). I don’t know if anything I write is interesting, helpful, insightful, beautiful, but at least my writing is seldom Trinitarian.

Nearly every morning I wake up at some ungodly hour knowing exactly what I’m supposed to be writing about—usually with the sense that, if I had been doing my job of trying to stay sane, I would have been up long ago knocking out some useless prose. This morning I woke up in a Trinitarian frame of mind. The three bodies were, however, not apparently related, and they would not fit in a five-paragraph essay.

1)  When I woke up, my little snowshoes cat was nestled beside my arm. This is not remarkable except that I’ve had Groucho, Chachi’s brother by another father in the same litter, Chachi, and Joanie, unrelated except by a lame reference to a ‘70s TV show, for over five years, and, until the last few weeks, none of them has ever snuggled beside me in bed (or anywhere else). They are one independent Trinitarian lot. Chachi has lately taken to being a cuddler, at least against my arm when I’m asleep.

2)  There’s a TV commercial in which this guy, one of those people who is obviously making piles of money having become the recognizable face for a company—like the Progressive Insurance girl—is telling about the phone company he hawks for (he either makes fun of AT&T for Verizon or makes fun of Verizon for AT&T; I forget which, demonstrating either how effective the commercial is or what kind of attention span I have).  He throws a basketball toward a hoop on his garage, and it lands on the roof. At the end of the commercial a very tall African American basketball player runs in, picks up the ball, jumps well above the hoop and lands a slam-dunk. As he walks off, the hawker says, “I guess I have an H.” This little scene is packed with allusions. Can you say “White Men Can’t Jump” (1992)? The “H” (I may have been hearing it wrong) I took for a week or two to allude to the driveway basketball game my brother played with his friends in the ‘50s, “Horse.” When your opponent made a basket, you were awarded with a letter of the word horse, and when he spelled out the entire word, you lost. Then, of course, I discovered there’s an electronic game called “Horse” which is, I suppose, based on the old real game. So the hawker is appealing not to old farts like me, but to those fast-thumbed kids I teach.

3)  Chachi was snuggled against my arm, the phone hawker was selling his wares, and in the front of my mind, crowding out everything else, played the old gospel hymn, “Beneath the Cross of Jesus.” This is Holy Week, after all. “Beneath the Cross of Jesus” is one of those gospel hymns that, once you’ve got it in your head, it will not go away. Lady Gaga and her ilk use the seductive harmonic vocabulary of this kind of gospel hymn to make their music memorable (I really ought to write a dissertation on the subject), and, of course, their adoringly servile minions lap the stuff up, and it gets into their heads forever, just the way gospel hymns become the musical (and intellectual) language of fundamentalist christians.  And the music floods those parts of the brain that Oliver Sacks has shown us light up and glow with happy colors when we make or hear music, and makes the rest of the brain feel so good it might as well be on Ecstasy. I have my own version of the drug: the constant flood of gospel hymnody I played as a child and a teenager instead of Beethoven piano sonatas.

But I’ll tell you this. “Beneath the Cross of Jesus” was doing me no favor this morning because the lines that would not leave me alone were

Content to let the world go by, to know no gain nor loss,
My sinful self my only shame, my glory all the cross.

Under normal circumstances, I would have thought, “How quaint. I wonder where that’s coming from.” However, yesterday I was reading a book (a very serious book) and came upon

. . . . translate these shame-based core beliefs in their behavior. . . .the involuntary feelings of shame manifests as resistance. . . They do not want to be that way, but that is their interior reality. The consequences. . . .[devalue] themselves. A deep, core resentment of self starts to affect everything in their lives. . . .self-hatred often expresses itself as anger. . . .

This is not a five-paragraph essay in which the thesis is obvious. Get over it! Don’t expect a recap of body paragraphs that make no sense together.

I woke up thinking that what goes on in my mind, even punctuated by the strange words of a shameful old gospel hymn, is just right: March Madness is a giant game of horse, a pleasant—and worthwhile—diversion that gives young men meaning in their lives. Chachi has become a cuddly cat in his middle age. Gospel hymns are quaint expressions of a religious understanding that is still meaningful to many people.

The five-paragraph essay might have been useful here. Probably no one can follow my strange logic to where it ended up:  It’s sad, but perhaps true, that the self-understanding of “my only shame” might lead to a kind of anger most people cannot understand.

Bond hearings are scheduled for the alleged ringleader, David Brian Stone, and other members of the Hutaree militia, a small group that was preparing to fight the Antichrist. (http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=10246957)

I heard a neighbor of Stone’s say on the radio yesterday he was a normal nice guy; she would never have suspected.

Other than that, little or nothing is known.

I’m betting the raid was the result of something that was overheard in a local bar, after everybody had one or two beers, too many.

Just another way for the Obama administration to keep Christians in their “rightful” place. Watch this high level raid and subsequent prosecution lead quickly to nothing and nowhere.

If this is, as Attorney General Eric Holder says, “an insidious plan by anti-government extremists” then why is the Reverend Jeremiah Wright still at large?

And it goes without saying that threatening violence against a Muslim or anyone else is – as this Hutaree “Christian” militia allegedly did -  clearly incontrovertibly a sin. People like this have to realize that Jesus Christ began His ministry during the time of armed uprisings by Jews against a very evil, tyrannical Roman government. (However, it should be noted that had the Jews not taken up arms against the Romans, the Romans would have generally left them alone.) The Jews were looking for a political messiah to defeat the Romans and re-establish a sovereign, Davidic kingdom. Many false messiahs promising just that came, and many followed Jesus Christ hoping that He was a messiah of that sort. They even mistook the miracles that Jesus Christ performed as evidence that He would use power from God to defeat the Romans.

However, when Jesus Christ made it known that His mission was not to establish an earthly kingdom, many lost interest and followed others, the ones who Jesus Christ referred to as “thieves and robbers”, which in the vernacular of the day referred to the seditious false messiahs leading rebellions. Jesus Christ repeatedly and consistently told His followers that it was wrong to rebel against Rome (especially violently) and that was what the significance of issues like paying taxes to Rome were all about. Later, Paul wrote Romans 13 about submitting to Rome as opposed to rebelling against them, and Peter wrote that Christians should pray for their leaders rather than rebel against them. And in the Olivet discourse, Jesus Christ told His followers not to defend Jerusalem from the attacking Romans, but instead to flee.

Needless to say, Jesus Christ’s words were rejected. He who came in the Name of God they did not follow, but those who came in their own name, including the false messiahs, they followed. This pattern of rejection of the true Messiah and His spiritual message and their embrace of false messiahs who offered a message of this world (i.e. political liberation, which included many economic benefits as well) was best symbolized when the Jews demanded that Pontius Pilate release the seditious murderer Barabbas – one of those involved in the violent liberation movements – in the place of Jesus Christ. By continuing to reject Jesus Christ and follow such people in their violent uprisings against Rome (they failed to listen to not only Jesus Christ but to even secular and Jewish leaders like Josephus and Yochanan ben Zakkai), the Jews brought the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD upon their nation, which resulted in the death of over 1 million Jews and the destruction of the temple (which fulfilled the near term “this generation” prophecies of the Olivet discourse). And in 132 AD, still following false messiahs like Simeon bar Kochba who promised that God would use them to defeat the Roman Empire, the Jewish liberation movement suffered their final defeat by the Romans, who burned what was left of Jerusalem to the ground, renamed it, and made it a capital crime for any Jew to re-enter the city. So, no Jewish liberation projects would exist for over 1700 years until 1897 when Theodor Herzl formally created the Zionist movement (although pre-Zionist movements had existed since at least the French Revolution).

So, by forming “militias” and certainly by threatening Muslims, these people do nothing but reject anything resembling the true literally interpreted teachings of the New Testament. By doing so, they reject Jesus Christ for Barabbas, and for that matter Jesus Christ for the Jews who delivered Christ to the Romans to be killed, and had Barabbas released in His stead. So let it be clear … the teachings of the New Testament and the unfolding of history (not only Jewish history, but the violent, failed “revolutions” of certain Anabaptist and Donatist Christian groups, as well as the violent death of the very vicious Ulrich Zwingli) supports nothing of the kind.

Still, we must wonder why it took mere threats against Muslims to bring the FBI down against these people. Unless, of course, they had evidence that these groups were going to act on their threats. So far, the FBI has everything sealed. Right now, a lot of LEGITIMATE Christians and a lot of conservatives are wondering about the double standards … why were these “Christians” arrested when other groups – including Muslims – who make similar threats all the time go free? I do not deny that there is not some element of this going on, or that the Obama administration does not have a propaganda motive to do this shortly after the passage of health care legislation and during the rise of the Tea Party movement and things of that nature. So, this is as good a time to go after conservative anti-government groups as any, and this provides fodder for anti-Christians who have long wanted the government to start ramping up their activities against Christians, starting with illegitimate Christian movements but only until going after their real targets – legitimate Christians – can be justified.

However, we must have the ability to acknowledge that in general, if armed groups make threats, the government shouldn’t just sit around and wait for them to act on their threats. (For instance, “making terroristic threats” is indeed a crime.) So, the issue should be whether the threats against Muslims made by these groups were legitimate. If the government doesn’t reveal the nature of these threats the way that they did with the many Muslim terror suspects that they have arrested, then that is indeed a cause for concern. Especially since “making terroristic threats” is a common offense, so common that a lot of people don’t even know that it is illegal.

Now as a Christian, my position is always going to be not to make terroristic threats. It is not only a sin in and of itself, and it is also against a legal code that does not cause Christians to violate scripture, which makes it also a sin by violating Romans 13. However, Paul according to the Acts narrative asserted not only his Christianity, but also asserted his Roman citizenship when it was in the interests of the gospel of Jesus Christ to do so. Now again, though this Hutaree group is not a legitimate Christian outfit, as a law abiding citizen of this country I am curious as to precisely what it was that made the FBI go after this group of people making terroristic threats while ignoring the many others. We do have a right to know precisely such a thing, and it is in our interests to pursue these rights to their fullest extent. The reason is that Jesus Christ commanded us to discern the times, and if these charges against the non-Christian Hutaree militia are spurious or are evidence of clear double standards, legitimate Christians can use it to take note of the times that we are entering.

P.S. I purposefully resisted making an issue of the Hutaree militia’s premillennial dispensational beliefs. The reason is that I am 100% certain that there are very many legitimate Christians who are dispensationalists. The Hutaree group is not a legitimate Christian group. So, associating legitimate Christian dispensationalists with people like the Hutaree militia that have rejected the true teachings of Jesus Christ while adopting some themes or ideas … how is that different from associating Christians with Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, or, say, Muslims who affirm the virgin birth? Now though I am no longer a dispensationalist, I am not going to use this as an excuse to go after Christians who are.

Now so-called Christians who use their dispensationalist beliefs in a manner like John Hagee (who demanded that George W. Bush attack Iran to “defend Israel”, and gave one of his many failed prophecies that the attack would happen before the end of Bush’s presidency with the rapture to occur soon after) and to whip up a fearful frenzy and hatred against Muslims that may lead to threats and violence … THOSE associations (between one false Christian who rejects the Bible but finds dispensationalism useful like Hagee and another) I can countenance, though I will not pursue them myself at this time. The issue is not differing views on eschatology, but those who accept the teachings of the New Testament versus those who reject it. Using premillennial dispensationalism to have your feet in both camps (meaning the church and the world) is what leads to stuff like this. However, this is by no means limited to premillennial dispensationalism. After all, Ulrich Zwingli, who massacred members of his own Bible study because they refused to join his church-state, was an amillennialist.

Update: Confederate Yankee says that the FBI claims that the militia was plotting to kill police officers. That angle is repeated here. Confederate Yankee is skeptical, but his reasoning for being skeptical – that police officers represent the local and not federal government – is wanting.
