Okay, ich hab mir gedacht ich mach mal n kleines Tutorial drüber wie man eigentlich Walkthroughs macht, sprich aufnahme, rendering, bearbeitung etc. Bevor ich anfange möchte ich aber ganz klar sagen das ich mich definitiv nicht für einen Profi halte und ich möchte auch sicherlich nicht behaupten das es schwer wäre sowas zu machen, jedoch hab ich schon einige PM’s auf Youtube und GameAnyone.com bekommen wie ich sowas mache. Auf die Idee brachte mich letztendlich Degrath also dankt lieber ihm statt mir.
Einfach auf “mehr” klicken und ihr könnt es euch durchlesen, wie immer halt.

Aufnahme

Ohne die Aufnahme gibts natürlich auch keine bearbeitung oder sonst was, denn von nichts kommt schliesslich nichts. Aber welche Hardware benutzt man am besten um von Konsole zu recorden und welches Programm benutzt man für den PC? Fangen wir mal bei den Konsolen an, wobei ich sagen muss, das ich hier keine praktische Erfahrung habe, sondern nur vom lesen und hören/sagen weis wies geht.

Um von Konsole zu recorden gibt es zwei mir bekannte Möglichkeiten und bevor ich weitermache: Vergesst sofort die Idee irgend ne schnulzige Cam dafür zu benutzen, das Endprodukt freut euch nicht und eure Zuschauer erst recht nicht.

Eine Möglichkeit wäre ein Dazzle. Den gibt es in mehreren Varianten, je nach Qualität die man haben möchte kauft man sich halt einen anderen. Wer seine Videos in echtem HD uploaden möchte, der guckt etwas weiter unten nach “Hauppage”, denn mit einem Dazzle funktioniert soweit ich weis nur fake HD, sprich Youtube erkennt es schon als HD aber die Qualität ist nicht die von richtigem HD.

Es gibt also einmal die normale Version des Dazzles, den DVC 101 mit dem man in Qualität aufnehmen kann die einigermassen anschauenswert ist (solche Videos haben ein HQ unten bei Youtube drin, für High Quality Mode der aber nicht wirklich High Quality aussieht) und den DVC 107, der in sogenanntem fake-HD recordet.

Der Anschluss eines solchen Dazzles ist eigentlich ganz einfach: 3 Y-Adapter an den Dazzle und dann ein ganz normales RGB-Kabel je in eine Öffnung der Y-Adapter stecken. Den Dazzle steckt ihr dann wiederrum per USB an den PC oder halt mit anderem Anschluss an eure TV-Karte. Ein mitgeliefertes Programm, ich glaube es heißt Pinaccle Movie Studio oder so, muss dann installiert werden, womit ihr letztendlich dann aufnehmen könnt. Es gibt aber verschiedene Versionen des Programms, sowie ich hörte braucht man die Version 10.8, weil alles andere ziemlich buggy ist, aber ich hab wie gesagt keine praktische Erfahrung.

Hier mal ein kleines Tutorial Video dazu, welches ich auf Youtube fand:

Hauppauge nennt sich die zweite Möglichkeit, das ganze kostet zwar ca. 120-200 Euro, jedoch lässt es sich dafür einfach anschliessen und man recordet in super HD-Qualität. Ich kann euch nicht mehr dazu sagen, hiermit befasste ich mich nicht so extrem, da diese Option noch recht neu ist, also hier wieder ein Tutorial-Video, was wieder nicht von mir ist:

Kommen wir nun zum PC recording. Es gibt verschiedene Tools, was die leute garnicht mögen sind unregistrierte Tools, also gebt Geld aus! Niemand will “fraps.com” oder “UNREGISTERED HYPERCAM” oben auf dem Video lesen, das ist einfach total gay!

Ich persönlich benutze Fraps, ihr könnt auch andere Tools benutzen aber Fraps ist wohl das am meisten verbreiteste Programm um auf dem PC Spiele aufzunehmen. Habt ihr das Programm installiert und registriert, dann öffnet es und guckt unter die Spalte “Movies”, denn nur diese ist wichtig für uns. Legt unter “Folder to save movies in” den Ordner fest wo eure Files gespeichert werden, zum speichern kann man noch was sagen: achtet drauf das ihr genug freien Speicherplatz habt, denn Fraps kann nicht gleichzeitig aufnehmen und encodieren, das würde auch kein Prozessor dieser Welt hinkriegen… Eine vierminütige File ist 4 GB groß, also guckt immer nach ob genug Speicherplatz vorhanden ist, bevor ihr anfangt zu recorden.

Weiter geht es mit dem Video Capture Hotkey, wo ihr den Hotkey festlegt mit dem ihr anfangt aufzunehmen. Achtet drauf das es keine Taste ist, die im Spiel irgendwas macht, ich habe zum Beispiel das Apostroph “´” drin zu stehen, weil das von keinem Spiel benutzt wird, andernfalls stellt es einfach in den Settings des Spiels um. Die nächste Option ist die Auswahl zwischen Half-size und Full-size. Half-Size recordet das es so aussieht wie im Fenstermodus, für einen Walkthrough nicht wirklich brauchbar – also brav auf Full-size lassen! Als nächstes habt ihr die Möglichkeit anzugeben, mit wie viel fps, also Bildern pro Sekunde recordet werden soll. Ich empfehle hier 30 fps einzustellen, das ist ein gutes Mittelmaß. Record Sound natürlich ein Haken, wenn ihr mit Ingamesound aufnehmen wollt, wenn nicht, empfehle ich euch wenigstens Audiocomment drüber zu legen, weil sonst isses echt langweilig und keiner guckt es sich an. Ansonsten noch ein Haken bei Detect best sound input und dann unter Sound Input auf Stereo.

Nun könnt ihr mit dem recording eures Spiels anfangen, gesagt sei das es wichtig ist einen guten Rechner zu haben, denn erstens guckt sich keiner ein Walkthrough an wo alle Details auf low gestellt sind und zweitens müsst ihr sicherstellen das ihr das Spiel auch mit 30 fps flüssig zocken könnt, denn das haben wir ja auch eingestellt im Programm.

Bearbeitung

Zuerst solltet ihr euch anschauen was ihr aufgenommen habt! Also ab in den Ordner, den ihr zuvor bei Fraps eingestellt habt und guckt euch an was bei rausgekommen ist. Sind Sachen dabei die man in einem Walkthrough lieber nicht sehen sollte, wie zum Beispiel das ihr bei nem Boss zweimal gestorben seid, dann merkt euch das vor und schneidet es später raus, denn sowas möchte niemand sehen.

Als nächstes steht die Frage an: welches Programm? Ich benutze Sony Vegas 8 Platinum und Camtasia Studio 6. Einen Vergleich der beiden Programme habe ich hier schon aufgestellt.

Schneidet also unschöne Szenen raus, entfernt die schwarzen Balken, falls vorhanden, fügt wenn erwünscht Text oder einen Audiokommentar hinzu und rendert das Video anschliessend. Eine ganz wichtige Sache die geklärt werden müsste, ist wie man das Programm einstellt um auch in HD zu rendern.

Hey Penguinz. Before we got kind of mixed-up. Here is all the explanation.

I had the contest for the Camtasia Studio 6, but I cancelled it because I later on found out that the activation code doesn’t work anymore. Then later on, I cancelled that contest, and did the Hypercam Code Contest. But today, I got a new serial code for Camtasia Studio 6, that works. =D. So I decided to do this contest again.

Its bit hard to explain, but  I have to explain it anyways. The camtasia Contest was cancelled, because I tried downloading it and putingdown the code I have. It didn’t work. .
