Oh it’s gonna be as fly as ever.  We’ve got special guests Unity and Trevor of Napalm Clique in the house for the WORLD PREMIERE of their music video for Shining, a tribute to MJ on the eve of his would-be birthday.

I’m soooo glad it’s Thursday. Can’t wait until it’s Friday. This has been a long week. I want to be out and about. Granted it’s Easter weekend, and I have to work on Saturday. So, I won’t be doing a ton, but I’m looking forward to the weekend.

Why did I choose this song? Mainly for the opening lyrics “I’ve been a bad bad girl.” Let’s just say I had a good Friday night. But Criminal is a great song. I never got into Fiona Apple though. I think her music was too advanced for me at the time. I liked her lyrics, but I was more into NSYNC and Backstreet Boys I’m ashamed to say.

Boyz II Men was my first “boy band” crush. I know they weren’t a boy band, but well.. I guess I should say guy group crush.  Shawn and Wanya were my men of choice. Mostly Shawn. I don’t know why. I Love Your Smile is so… silly, giddy and cute. You know all of those things you feel when you first start seeing someone and you’re in that infatuation period. When I first heard the rap she does about 2 minutes in, I was like WTF? But I can completely remember having those moments.

I love Shanice’s voice. I remember when she appeared on an episode of Nickelodeon’s Welcome Freshman and performed this song. I still have it on VHS somewhere. It was a cute episode. One of the better ones.
