This is the time of the year when many people become a bit more generous.  They forgive a little easier and enjoy spending time with their families.  The Holidays tend to bring out the best in everyone and even music sounds more meaningful.

Today I made the long, three and a half hour journey from Queens, NY to the Far Northeast Philadelphia to spend Thanksgiving with my family and to get a good rest before dreaded finals (shutters at thought).

While riding the wonderful MTA, I saw somethings that really irked me. They’ll probably irk you too:

1. Girls ( the ones who shouldn’t be wearing legging in the first place) wearing shirts too short to cover their ass in leggings. It was not something I wanted to see 7:45 this morning. The girl was walking with a friend, which made me want to slap the friend for letting her friend out in public like that. Friends don’t let friends make terrible fashion mistakes.

Seriously....someone shouldn't of let her out of the house!

2. People who insist on staring at other people’s I-Pod. People who do not ride public transportation may not get this, but all of those riding the subway on their daily commute all I know where I am coming from. Your trying to unwind from a long day at the office/in the classroom, so you put on your I-Pod. Suddenly every time you change your song the creeper next to glances over, squints at your MP3 player, and makes his judgement internally about your obsessive Miley Cyrus song collection (don’t judge). If your so into music, get your own I-Pod, Zune or whatever. Just don’t get so close to me I can hear your panting over the Party in the USA lyrics. Sheesh!

3. Kids on the train. Yes, I know children are our future, and that they are cute, wholesome and adorable. Being one that loves babies (as long as I can give them back when they become mini-satans), I usually don’t complain when a see a kid crying in a dinner, while the poor parents try to eat their dinner in peace. But one time period where I do not want to even here the word child, or see anyone under 10 is on a two-hour train ride. After a morning of classes, a commute from hell to the train station, I was finally relieved when I got on the NJ Transit train home at 4pm. Just as I had gotten settled in my seat (a copy of cosmo, my coke zero and a krispy kreme doughnut), a women with who two angles sat behind me. Clearly the kids we’re hyped up on sugar from the Hershey Factory, and would not shut up. First the conversation focused around all of the cool things they saw, than it moved into what they we’re going to do at home, than school was mentioned and they lost it. It was like going to second grade was worse than serving a ten-year sentence in Riker Island. They began whining, and crying till their mother said if they we’re good she would let them stay up for an I-Carly episode. By this point my head was pounding, and I was praying to God that whoever this I-Carly was, would save my sanity. It must have worked, because not soon after that, all I heard was the chirping of their video games. Just another reminder of why birth control was invented!

People under 10 and 3 hour commutes do not mesh well

Despite everything, I managed to get to Philadelphia in one piece…and hopefully stay in one piece!

Pc ou Mac ? Mac ou Pc ? Apple et Microsoft sont les acteurs emblématiques du marché de l’informatique. Ainsi, des communautés d’utilisateurs se sont regroupées afin de faire valoir leur préférence sur tel ou tel système. C’est en 2006 que Apple décide de prendre le débat à son compte.

Les Mac ont toujours eu une image de machines dédiées aux professionnels, notamment en comparaison avec leur puissance graphique. Toutefois, en 2001, Apple lance ce qui sera un des plus grands succès commercial et marketing : l’I Pod. Celui-ci touche une cible plus jeune et branchée « loisirs » que les pros qui font parti de l’univers Mac.

Apple décide donc de devenir une marque de jeunes, pour les jeunes et surtout faite pour eux. Elle s’approprie alors la comparaison éternelle avec Microsoft pour conquérir les utilisateurs de PC. Une vingtaine de courts spots Tv naquirent :

En terme d’image l’opération fut un succès :

- buzz sur Internet ( = diffusion massive)

- réactivation du débat entre les utilisateurs de pc et de mac;

- appropriation d’une image jeune, « fun » et innovante.

Toutefois, attention de ne pas passer de l’humour à la délation (la publicité comparative n’étant que très peu tolérée).

Um, I just looked at my training plan and I have 5 miles of speedwork planned for tomorrow morning.  Yikes!!!  Funny how just a few weeks ago I was knocking off 8-10 miles of speedwork at a time and now 5 sounds scary.  It’s OK, must organize a good playlist to keep me motivated on the dreadmill treadmill.

Lunch today was a repeat from the last 2 nights, more roasted chicken stuffed into a Honey Whole Wheat Flat Out wrap with a little ranch dressing and lots of Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and a slice of Tillamook Muenster.

On the side I had some leftover couscous and veggies (I only ate about 1/4 of this as it was starting to get a little dry after 2 days in the fridge) and some vegetarian baked beans.

For dessert, I had another strawberry Fruit Roll Up:

While taking this picture I had to also stop and take a picture of the shoes I wore today – I love them!!  I found them on the clearance rack at the Anne Taylor Factory Store years ago for $9 and they are my favorite pick-me-up shoes

Today was again, crazy busy and all of a sudden it was 3pm. I snacked on a honeycrisp apple:

I left work around 5:30 and was pleasantly surprised to smell something delicious when I walked in the door – Chris had made gorditas!!  This is probably one of our favorite meals because the sauce that comes with the kit is SO addicting!  He cooked up some organic chicken with taco seasoning and heated up some vegetarian refried beans (with a can of low-sodium pinto beans mixed in) and ate them with the yummy spicy ranch sauce and lots of Newman’s Own chunky salsa (on mine, Chris hates chunky salsa and prefers picante sauce). On the side, we had…surprise, surprise, peaches!  We bought these peaches at Costco forever ago, and then thinking we were out bought some more.  Now we have 8 jars!!  Whoops!  So, expect to see lots of peaches on the blog in weeks to come.

Now it’s time to throw together lunches for tomorrow, set out my gym clothes, update my I Pod and maybe find some dessert while I’m at it.  I hope everyone has an awesome night!  And, in case you forgot – Glee is back on tomorrow night…woot!!!!!  I’m so ready for Will to find out about his wife not really being preggo and Finn to find out that Quinn’s pregnant by the guy with the mohawk (hehe), I suspect major drama and singing will ensue!

I love I pods, I phones and Computers! They are just so cool! I got an I pod and hopefully I will buy an I phone.

I’m crying really hard. I’m so sad. (Wipes Tears) I lost my I pod a few minutes ago. My mum said that someone stole it and that made me cry really hard. She or He deserves to be locked up for life. I HATE YOU! No more I pod, how can I live without my music? Who stole it? Why did I let myself be so stupid. And no one even cares. IT’S NOT FAIR! This is the truth. If I can wish for something, I would ask for my I pod to be found and given to me. Wait that’s two things.

I’m so fed up and sad. It costed around 125 pounds and now all that money is gone. I just want to kill myself for being so stupid. Now I don’t know who stole it and why. This is the worst day of my life. People hate me. People just want me to feel sad. I can’t believe this is happening to me.

I hope that I find it and smiles will arrupt my face.
