Hello Poptropicans! Following some sad developments of this week (the resignation of Golden Eagle), it’s once again time to announce yet another Poptropica update. Recently, a new ad has appeared on Main Street of Early Poptropica, “Ice Age 3: Dawn of The Dinosaurs”. I myself saw the movie, and I thought it was pretty funny, at least at some parts. But moving on. I made a quick video to show you the ad – you can find it below. In this ad, your goal is to collect all the acorns for Scratte, Scrat’s female companion.

Before entering the ad, you’ll notice that the woman outside has horrible grammar. I’m sure most of you will easily spot it.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

The mammoth Nanny is in the joy of becoming a father soon, while the saber-toothed tiger Diego is in the gloom of his own aging, at the same time, sloth Sid has found three eggs, he wants to become these three tyrannosaurus’s mother, but abducted by their real mother. In order to find their companion, a group of lovely animal friends went to hide in the “Jurassic Park” which under the ice age. In this magical place, what kind of new friends will they meet? what kind of risks will they be encountered? These are made full expectations of all the fans of Ice Age. 

This film as the first large-scale exhibition of 3D animation of 20th Century Fox, which costs 120 million U.S. dollars, it almost the twice cost of Ice Age 1.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs releases its latest English posters, the trailer was also on air before the movie release in North America in ‘Horton Hears w Who’ studio. The funny squirrel Scrat is remain the main starring in the trailer.

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs released in July 1st, 2009,  it is the latest movie in the Ice Age series. The first two sets of the series gained the global box office up to 1.2 billion U.S. dollars. Ice Age 3 is directed by the Oscar-nominated director Carlos Saldanha, he has been directed Ice Age 2 independently, and also co-directed Ice Age 1.

Ice Age 3 not only contains the elements that audience loved from first two sets, but also becomes more interesting, more dangerous and more visual impact to the audience. In this movie the main character will meet some new friends, who are they? what is Sid’s biggest worry? … after watching the Ice Age 3, you would find the answer!

Utara Siberia yang luas adalah tanah bekuan permanen yang tanpa batas. Di sini, ditemukan puluhan ribu bangkai binatang mamalia yang telah beku pada masa prasejarah. Para ahli mengemukakan, diduga binatang-binatang tersebut mati membeku, oleh sebab itu mereka masih bertahan pada kondisi saat beku, hingga tubuh mereka masih dalam kondisi yang baik.

Ada rumor yang mengatakan, daging dari Mammoth yang telah membeku tersebut masih dapat dihidangkan di atas meja! Walaupun setelah klarifikasi, mutu daging Mammoth yang telah membeku puluhan ribu tahun tersebut sudah rusak, tidak mungkin dikunsumsi lagi. Namun menurut kabar, manusia berburu pernah mengandalkan daging Mammoth sebagai makanan. Walau bagaimanapun, tubuh fisik yang sempurna masih dapat dipertahankan begitu lama, itu adalah suatu keajaiban.

Para ilmuwan selalu mencari jawaban atas binasanya Mammoth, harimau taring dan binatang kuno lainnya. Ada yang mengatakan perubahan iklim cuaca, ada yang beranggapan karena penangkapan besar-besaran oleh manusia. Kosep yang paling populer adalah iklim dan manusia secara bersama membinasakan Mammoth. Namun ada kejadian kongkret yang tak terjawab yaitu makhluk hidup secara menjadi beku, mungkin berasal dari kekuatan alam.

Jika belum menemukan jawaban dari kekuatan alam yang mampu membekukan seluruh kehidupan pada jaman mammoth masih hidup, mungkin sedikit terhibur dengan tingkah laku binatang-binatang prasejarah itu di Ice Age 2 Glacial Break. Ketika Scrat berusaha membebaskan sahabat-sahabatnya Sid, Diego, Crash dan Eddie, juga Manny dan Ellie dari kungkungan es tebal. Lapisan es tersebut membekukan mereka sampai ke tulang. Agar mereka kembali hidup, Scrat harus menstabilkan suhu dengan suhu kamar baru mereka dapat meloloskan diri dengan mudah. Ice Age mengajarkan untuk tidak menyerah menghadapi kejamnya cuaca pada jaman itu.

Jejak binatang pra sejarah seperti mammoth dan harimau bertaring dapat dengan mudah ditemukan di Ice Age 2 Glacial Break. Walau hanya gambaran tetapi Game KapanLagi.com juga menghadirkan indahnya persahabatan yang tak lekang oleh waktu.

Tadi pagi, sebelum mandi dan belajar untuk ulangan besok, Reza sempat nonton CD film Ice Age 2. Mamanya ikut nonton sambil suapin adek Lukman. Saat adegan filmnya Manny si mammoth jantan sedang bersusah payah menyelamatkan Ellie si mammoth betina, Reza nyeletuk: “Tuh dia mati-matian berjuang menyelamatkan pacarnya….” (terus Reza diam sebentar, sebelum lanjutkan) “Laki-laki memang suka begitu…“. Sambil nahan ketawa, Mamanya bilang “Oh gitu ya?”. Reza jawab: “Iya, kata temen Eza” hahaha….

Minggu kemarin ini, Mamanya periksa semua buku-buku Reza untuk cek apa semua tugas sudah dikerjakannya. Di salah satu bukunya Mamanya menemukan cerita Reza yang cukup panjang. Terkagum-kagum karena biasanya Reza males sekali menulis, Mamanya jadi kepingin baca cerita karangannya itu. Oooo ternyata dia cerita tentang kejadian yang Reza kecebur di empang. Walaupun tulisannya nempel-nempel tanpa spasi, tulisannya cukup terbaca dan ceritanya cukup runtun. Pakai ilustrasi gambar pula.

Tidak Menyenangkan: Kecebur di Empang

Suatu hari aku disekolah dengan teman-teman sedang mencari kodok. Tiba-tiba Valdy kepinggir empang. Valdy memanggilku. Kata Valdy: “Lihat Reza, banyak kodok”. Aku menangkap salah satu kodok dan kecebur. Aku basah kuyup. Akhirnya aku dimarahi Mama dan Papa.

Iar marti , iar film , iar multa voie buna. In aceasta seara Manny , Sid si Diego se intorc in Taboo sperand ca va adunati sa ii vedeti ,dar cu noi prieteni. Nici zapacitul de Scrat si aluna lui nu va lipsi, bineinteles provocand un alt dezastru, spre bucuria voastra. Asa ca Marti cu mic cu mare sa fiti prezenti in Taboo la ICE AGE 2 , altfel ne suparam.  Dupa film vedem noi ce facem , ori ne mai uitam la alt film ori spargem boxele cu rock. Voi decideti.

Jeg veit jeg har blitt en lat blogger. Hakke noe å skrive for tiden, og da gidder jeg ikke å poste dritt for harde livet. I morgen er det åpen dag, og det blir en lang dag. Siden Vicc skal på fjellet, og vi må gjøre ferdig radiosendinga vår, så må vi møte om morran. Og siden vi bor i Fredrikstad, så må er vi så heldige at vi må være der på kvelden og. Planning a sleepover hos Mille, MEN. Siden jeg skal jobbe på fredag, deretter kino, så hjem, jobbe alene lørdag, og sleepover hos Milleh igjen, så tviler jeg på at jeg orker og får lov til alt. Jeg kjenner meg selv altfor godt, og vet jeg blir utslitt. I’ll consider it tomorrow.

O trio de amigos descobre que o aquecimento na Terra vai derreter a gigantesca barreira de gelo que cerca o vale onde eles moram com muitos outros animais. Isso provocará uma inundação gigante – e eles têm de sair dali imediatamente.

Todos os bichos partem para não ser engolidos pelas águas geladas. Menos Scrat, que continua a perseguir a noz desesperadamente.

Durante a viagem, a turma enfrenta muitos perigos e passa por situações superengraçadas, além de conhecer novos amigos.

At 14:30,we watched Ice Age 2 in G4 Cinema. We don’t usually buy popcorn when watching films, but we had fries from Burger King. Our drink was mineral water.

Sid: Maybe we could rapidly evolve into water creatures.
Diego: That’s genius Sid.
Sid: Call me, Squid.

Traffic Vulture: Parents: Please do not leave your children unattended. All unattended children will be eaten.

Sid: Hey! Can you guys slow down? I’m dying here…

Sid: It’s just a figure of speech!

Vultures: [singing] FOOD, glorious FOOD!

Yeah, not the type of film you’d really expect from me, but I was in a rather lighthearted mood and limited to the DVDs at my friend’s house in Belgium. I’m not really one for animation, either, but this one was refreshing and generationally appropriate. The visuals were cute and funny for kids, beautiful and funny for adults, and the storyline was actually pretty deep. These prehistoric critters were dealing with the end of the world and they managed to put it in pretty logical perspective. Not bad for a PG movie. Also, it was the first and probably only time that I’d ever pin Ray Romano and Queen Latifah working together and having on-screen chemistry (of course, their characters were woolly mammoths).

I applaud this type of movie, with a sort of superficial, fluffy image, and its ability to weave a complex and potentially timely issue into the plot of a widely distributed feature film. Some may say that kids should wait until they’re older to learn about issues like global warming, but I say the sooner the better. Animation like this just proves that it can be done with mercy, too, so as not to instill fear but rather provoke thought and stimulate action. Laughter, as is so often referenced, is the best medicine.
