Last month, the African nation of Uganda proposed an anti-homosexuality bill, making anyone caught engaging in homosexuality liable to be sentenced to life in prison. Homosexuals, who are HIV positive and knowingly take part in a sexual act or engage in sex with an individual under the age of 18, are liable to be sentenced to death under the crime of “aggravated homosexuality”.

Speaker Edward Sekandi told Daily Monitor that the new legislation was necessary “to do whatever we can to stop” homosexuality in Uganda. “We don’t support that practice.”

However, the global response has been anything but supportive of the initiative.

Scott Long, director of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Rights Program at Human Rights Watch, said, “This draft bill is clearly an attempt to divide and weaken civil society by striking at one of its most marginalized groups.  The government may be starting here, but who will be next?”

The United States has said they will continue  President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) funding to Uganda despite the antigay violence.  QUEERTY, a gay blog, writes that the PEPFAR coordinator’s decision is  “…propping up a nation that still treats HIV as “the gay disease,” that further stigmatizez the queer community, and is now calling for the murder of anyone who dares involve themselves in same-sex sex.”

Truthwinsout.org comments on why they don’t support the PEPFAR decision. “HIV/AIDS in Uganda is primarily a heterosexual phenomenon; Goosby falsely contends that it is a homosexual phenomenon that threatens the “general population and the bill would criminalize key aspects of comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention education and imprison health-care workers who refuse to report sexually active gay patients to the police.”

Uganda, the outgoing chair of the Commonwealth,  is expected to promote, among other issues, human rights as part of their membership in the international organization.

But, Times Online quoted Stephen Lewis, the former UN envoy on Aids in Africa, as saying Uganda’s bill goes against the Commonwealth’s principles, stating, “Nothing is as stark, punitive and redolent of hate as the Bill in Uganda.”

The proposed anti-homosexual bill also threatens anyone found promoting homosexuality or anyone who fails to report known homosexuality activity.

The bill is currently making its way through the country’s Parliament.

Homosexuality is illegal in most African countries.  Currently, South Africa is the only nation on the continent that legally allows gay marriage.

A user on the open or ‘free’ WiFi hotspot of a local pub in the UK downloaded content that was copyright protected and therefore illegally copied. The pub hotspot was supplied by The Cloud, a UK and European based wireless broadband provider, in a similar manner as those you find in coffee shops and pubs, retail outlets, many hotel lobbies, the City of London’s own hotspots, and so on.

There are many misunderstandings on the Web today about why the pub was fined. It was not fined because the WiFi hotspot was ‘insecure’, the ‘openess’ of the hotspot did not mean it was ‘insecure’, it was ‘free to use’ or ‘open’. It was not fined because it had no firewall or some filtering system in place. It was not fined because it sanctioned illegal behaviour intentionally. It’s a pub for goodness sake, it sells alcohol and food and that is its core business.

The Cloud provided the pub with the hotspot technology and broadband connectivity to enable the pub’s customers to use their notebooks to link up to the Internet from anywhere within the hotspot’s range. A customer, or customers, sometime during the period of use, downloaded copyrighted material to a pc over this hotspot. These downloads were traced to the pub and as the law now stands they were prosecuted for the infringement.

Was it fair? In my view there is very little that a pub can do to prevent such actions by its customers. In such an arrangement, managed WiFi hotspots, the client, in this case the pub, has no expertise as to the technical integrity or technical setup of the hotspot. That is the whole purpose of the hotspot provider, in this case The Cloud. For a general ISP the tracking down of the actual culprit is somewhat easier as the ISP contract is with a single individual or business, and in the generic ISP contract such actions are clearly deemed illegal and contrary to the ISP’s T&C’s.

For a hotspot provider and its clients, like the pub, the user base is somewhat more fluid and makes it tougher with current equipment to trace and lockdown one specific user in the same way. WiFi hotspot systems, normally custom developments or built around Radius servers, will only track a customer on the hotspot network for the time they are logged on for and the amount of data they are using. Very little else is tracked or logged, and therefore this makes for a tough legal exercise when the actual user infringing on copyright on such a hotspot needs prosecuted.

I am of the opinion the pressure to prosecute in this case took precedent over a more logical approach where the copyright owner and police could have worked with technology partners and the hotspot providers in creating more secure ways for users to log into the network and then have them trace who the true culprits are, instead of suing anyone in such a broad shotgun approach as happened here. Software can be used to track what customers are downloading, but we cannot implement that sort of Big Brother solution without trampling on a citizen’s privacy. So the service provider can be requested to implement screening software or technology that limits access to known sources of stolen or compromised software, media and content.

This would mean companies like The Cloud would have to be held accountable when things go wrong, and not the poor non-technical licensee like the pub. Setting this into a correct cycle of responsibility would also mean that the growth of the Internet across multiple channels like wireless hotspots would also not be stymied the way it could be. It won’t take much to counter the marketing done by ISP’s and wireless broadband service providers, and this case specifically will be one that many businesses will reference when they decline to have hotspots on their premises in the future.

If we don’t approach problems like the one that led to this outrageous case constructively, then with changes in the laws governing Internet usage pandering only to the legal might of content owners and their deep pockets, as has already been tabled in the UK, the inevitable will happen. No, not a stop in the downloading of compromised content or media, but instead the death of open Internet provision as we experience it today.

In the coming days, Congress will be debating whether or not to raise the country’s debt limit.  We all know that they will raise the limit to some unfathomable level.  Time and time again I plead with the American public to contact their representatives in an attempt to stop this kind of nonsense.

Obviously, the American people don’t care or don’t understand the true ramifications of these actions by our government leaders.  The debt that we have right now is more than we can pay back within the next 25 years.  So raising the limit will only encourage the borrowing of more money that we cannot pay back for generations.  This is beyond being stupid.  As it is, if the Chinese decided they wanted us to pay back the money we owe them right now, we couldn’t do it.  Consequently, they would literally own the entire country.  Gone would be all of our freedoms.  Gone would be any influence over government.  Gone would be the best health care in the world.  Gone would be our ability to obtain the truth about anything.  Gone would be our right to express our displeasure with the current state of affairs.  Gone would be our right to worship the true God or even a god from our imagination.

What this country needs is a balanced budget amendment.  It needs to be illegal for our government to borrow money from another country except in the extreme situations of war and natural disaster.  We also need an amendment to cap the income tax rate.  The government should not have the right to just arbitrarily raise the rates.  It is not their money to take.  We also need an amendment requiring Congress to account for every penny spent.  That way, when 100 – 300 million dollars is allocated to the state of Louisiana, they will have to spell out exactly what that money will be spent on.  The only exception should be for military spending and for intelligence spending.  Everything else needs to be held accountable to the public.  The military and intelligence needs to be held accountable to a bi-partisan Congressional panel not the general public.

If we put in these amendments, then Congress cannot legally spend money they do not have to spend.  Plus, they cannot just raise taxes to obtain the money they want for their pet projects.  If the pet project is important enough, then cut something else to produce the revenue necessary to pay for that pet project. 

People, if we don’t beat this kind of common sense approach into our Congressional representatives, they will continue to sell this country to the rest of the world.  We need representatives that will do what is best for this country not for themselves.  Call them, write them, email them, do whatever it takes to make it clear to them that enough is enough.  Make it clear to them that they need to represent us or they are history.

“Phnom Penh: The Appeals Court of Cambodia issued a surprising decision, sentencing Ms. Chea Ratha [a former military police brigadier general, who had a lesbian relationship with actress In Soklida] for 18 years to jail for an acid attack against the aunt of the actress In Soklida, and also other accomplices are to be imprisoned. The decision made by the Appeals Court at this time is totally in contrast to the former decisions made by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court to dismiss the accusations against the accused persons.

“The acid attack against Ms. In Soklida’s aunt had been brought for a hearing and judgment by the Appeals Court on 27 November 2009, with Mr. Seng Sivutha as the head of the council of judges, with Mr. Nhoung Thul and Mr. Thou Monei as members, and with Mr. Hean Rith as representative of the prosecutors.

“The judgment decided to uphold Decision 82, dated 31 August 2009, of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, but rejected Point 1, which is related to punishments for all who had been charged. The new decision of the Appeals Court exempts Meas Mao, male, 40; and Meas Chandy from the charge of illegal gun use, but sentenced them to serve 18 years in prison for violating the right of an individual, and for planned and attempted murder. Chea Ratha, female, 43, was removed from the charge of illegal use of a weapon, but she is convicted to serve 18 years in prison for planned and attempted murder. Ie Puthea, male, 33, and San Savuth, called San Sanut or Nut, 29, were freed from the charge of using a weapon illegally, but are to be imprisoned for 15 years for violating the right of an individual, and for collusion in a planed and attempted murder. Siek Sophal, male, was removed from the charge of using a weapon illegally, but is to be jailed for 15 years. Chan Dara, male, was removed from the charge of using a weapon illegally, of violating the right of an individual, and of collusion in an attempted murder, that means he is free from all accusations. All the six accused persons were ordered to pay to cover the cost of the medical treatment and to compensate the plaintiff with US$100,000, and an arrest warrant was issued to arrest those who escaped.

“It should be noted that the acid attack against Ms. In Soklida’s aunt occurred on 8 May 2008 in front of the RHAC Hospital on street 433, Tuol Tumpung 1, Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh.

“The Phnom Penh Municipal Court had sentenced to dismiss the accusations against all accused persons, but the plaintiff’s lawyer later appealed against this judgment, and there was also a complaint from the prosecutor of the Appeals Court dated 23 September 2009.

“The reason leading to this new judgment is that there was an acid attack against the victim Ya Sok Nim, Ms. In Soklida’s aunt, by two unidentified persons, who rode a 2008 Viva motorbike, and then stopped behind her to attack her with acid, and escaped.

“After the event, the victim’s husband lodged a complaint to the authorities to solve the case according to the law, but he could not identify the perpetrators’ faces.

“According to a note of the victim read by a clerk, a day ahead of the attack, bodyguards and Chea Ratha came to her house to ask for information about her niece (In Soklida), but she said that she did not know where she was. They asked to check in the house, but they still could not find her. Then they left.

“A few days later, Chea Ratha phoned to warn her, ‘If you do not deliver In Soklida, there will be bloodshed.’ This i was recorded, and her voice was played in the municipal court. Later on, the acid attack happened on 8 May 2008.

“Sok Chey, a person who witnessed the event, said he saw two men, whose faces he could not identify as they wore masks, but remembers their appearance, as they appeared behind the victim, attacked her with acid, and escaped.

“After that, police arrested two perpetrators, after showing their photos to the victim. The victim was sure that they were the perpetrators, bodyguards of Chea Ratha, as the victim had gone to the accused’s house [Mr. Chea Ratha’s house].

The followers of Barack Obama have taken a nose dive off the deep end of reality and entered into the hopeless pit of denial and wonderment of the science fiction era known as Trek Obama. Anyone breathing and an IQ higher then 60 (which barely includes most Obama supporters) has seen, heard of, or been part of Star Trek. Star Trek is the fictional reality of the future, again like Obama’s fictional past, where everyone’s needs are magically meet and no personal needs are ever denied, along and no costs ever being mentioned, because this is a fictional utopia.

 In the original series, an episode called “And the children shall lead”, featured what appears to be a benevolent alien that a group of children could call upon, but discovered almost to late that in reality he was evil. Here is the episode synopsis:

 When the U.S.S. Enterprise finds that all the adults in the Starnes Expedition to Triacus have killed themselves, they beam to the planet’s surface to investigate. The children, however, are alive and well and strangely oblivious to their parents’ fates.

They are beamed aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise while Kirk searches for an answer to the strange occurrences. The children summon their “friendly angel” Gorgan, who tells them to take the U.S.S. Enterprise to a planet he can control. By garbling Kirk’s words and deceiving Spock, the children are able to take control of the starship. Finally, seeing Kirk’s anxiety at the loss of his ship, Spock realizes that something is wrong and helps the Captain regain control.

Kirk shows the children tricorder tapes of their parents … and their graves, demonstrating to them that Gorgan is not a “friendly angel” but an evil force. The loss of his believers renders Gorgan impotent and he fades into oblivion.

 Now bear in mind that this benevolent helper of the children remind us of another benevolent  alien, Barack Obama. Barack Obama came along and promises everything for everyone, with no mention of the cost. How many times were his followers seen clamoring “I won’t have to worry about my mortgage”, “I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car”, ‘he said if I help him, he would help me.”

 In mere months the façade has fallen off the Obama gorgon, and exposed the inner layers, just as Captain Kirk, exposed the true nature of the original gorgon. As more of the layers are peeled back, with the exposure of ACORN corruption, the charade of the public Terrorist trials, the Court Martial of Navy SEALs for given a known terrorist a ‘fat lip’ during capture, covering up the Ft Hood Terrorist attack, Obama’s staggering dragging his feet on supporting our troops and commander in Afghanistan, his total lack of experience in governance, reckless disregard for the United States Constitution, bowing to foreign leaders, among other items too long to mention here.

 I wonder what will happen after too many layers are revealed, or what will be the publics reaction upon seeing the real Barack Obama unmasked. Or when Barack Obama followers wake up and discover they have been assimilated into the collective, but not for their own good.

Ok. We were going to some football game in the middle of freaking nowhere and our bus driver got lost. Yea. So we decided to go to Tupelo to get some food. Yes the Tupelo where Elvis is from. Anyways, we get to Chik-fil-A and there’s a huuuuge line and we didn’t wanna wait. So we decided to walk across the street to Taco Bell except when we got there the dine-in was closed. Only the drive-thru was open… Being the smartasses we are, we formed an imaginary car and went thru the drive-thru… I filmed it of course. Lol. I think the lady working the register was bored or something. Maybe she just thought we were pathetic.. Either way she let us have some food, as long as we stayed out of the way. I guess she didn’t wanna have to fill out paperwork if one of us had gotten hit by a car.. You can’t say we don’t have fun in Band.. Lol. Us nerds know how to party.

How Allstate treats people…

“I left Allstate in 2000 when they fired us all.  I was with the company 23 1/2 years and was 53 years old.   I suspended my health coverage at that time.  Last year my wife’s company liquidated so we lost our health coverage.   Because we had preexisting medical problems, we had to go with Allstate under my suspended coverage.

This year they had us with United Healthcare for $870.50 per month.  Next year (1/1/2010) they are putting us with Blue Cross/ Blue Shield.  Out premium will be $957.00 per month.  That is a killer but what other choice do we have?”

 The stuff at above link is still only around 75% of what you all need to know to be legal, licensed, insured and OPERATE LAWFULLY as a stage and street hypnotist, indeed the Licensing Act 2003 (and other laws) have altered some of the above, some things are now easier and many are harder to do legally,

But and this is a big but if I ever decide to reveal on a large basis how to lawfully and legally do street & stage hypnosis 100% legally and insured in the present climate and based on current laws, I’d only ever do so for people who have first an understanding and acceptance of the information imparted above (ESPECIALLY THAT AT LINK NUMBER SIX)

Currently I’d stake my life on it that no UK Street Hypnotist has the correct insurance, and I’d stake my life on it that they are currently (up to now at least) breaking the law in many manners….

If only they’d get a full understanding of THE FREE INSIGHT’S above, take it on board and then respect the fact that I am trying to help everyone in the industry then, well then I might seriously consider revealing that other 25%

It also amazes me that despite the evidence I have put forward at the above links (read every word and also all of the comments I make after each of the postings) including letters from Local UK Councils, The Chairman of The Federation of Ethical Stage Hpynotists, Copies of actual Hypnosis Laws and much more, that many still are DENYING THE VERY REAL TRUTH of what I have stated and on many forums still INCORRECTLY feel that Street Hypnosis is Legal in UK

There is a site, it’s called, www.Okcupid.com that has lots of fun tests (not as fun as the ones on Blogthings though!) but it is also a dating/social networking site. It’s very creepy. I’ve been getting messages from guys that are 25+ on there that are very straight forward and they’re like, “Before we hang out, I wanna know…”. And I’m thinking, “Who said anything about hanging out? Who said anything about me even LOOKING for someone? Especially someone 12 years older than me?”

It’s weird. I mean, yeah, blame me for signing up. But I thought it was only about quizzes. When I realized it wasn’t like that, I wasn’t too freaked out cause tickle.com was also a dating site that had quizzes and I never got a creepy message like that. I don’t know…strange, isn’t it?

And it’s almost as if they don’t even read on the little details thing below my face that I am 18. It says 18/F/single. Yes, it means legal, but it also means…ugh. I don’t know what it means. I see why I’m getting messages now. Well, I still blame them – most 18 year old girls don’t feel comfortable about dating a 28 year old guy. Geez. This blogger after refering to Obama’s Dual Citizenship actually corrected me and alluded to the fact that there are not two, not three, but atleast four citizenships.

 As explained by Black Lion, Obama claims to have US Citizenship [proof never submitted] the same time he has British citizenship from his father, being governed by the British Nationality Act of 1948, now Kenya was a British colony till 1963, when it gained independence and became it own country.

Now, Obama states the following off his web-site so this NOT heresay evidence but from Obama himself.
