Natasha Poly é a garota da vez… deu para perceber ela em quase todos os desfiles, principalmente de Londres e NY, na última temporada. Lembro, que no momento em que eu via mais e mais imagens dos runways com ela, a mesma me lembrava muito a Kate Moss… a fresh Kate Moss. Ela foi capa da revista Muse the Novembro, capa de Panos Yiapanis com styling de Ricardo Tisci (Givenchy).

Fa dos anys  els meus pares van descobrir que a Calldetenes celebren un concurs anual de còmic i vaig recollir tota la informació pensant en l’Eduard…però com era d’esperar ni es vèia motivat ni disposava de temps. Jo en canvi vaig llegir els premis i vaig pensar que alguna cosa es podria fer (acabava de descobrir photoshop). Bé, no vull mentir, al principi vaig treballar amb tinta xina en blanc i negre i plomilla però quan faltava molt poc per la data d’entrega em va sortir això i ¡sorpresa! em van donar el segon premi…Us imagineu la cara de l’Edu? Ojalà hagués tingut una càmara…

About two years ago I decided to try and do this for a competition, as Edu didn’t have the time and the prizes looked pretty good. And guess what? Second prize! Not bad for a first time. Glad I’d discovered photoshop…

And another Vogue photograph used for this ilustration. I think this came just after the one shown before.  And this time Edu just laughed when he saw me drawing all these little lines. Little did he know it had become my own little private therapy. Photoshop can keep you sane. Almost like sowing, just no needles and thread involved.

This a drawing from about two years ago, when I had just discovered photoshop thanks to Edu. He’d sit and watch me work and say ” How can you have so much patience?” and I’d think  “God, look who’s talking!” .  The photo’s from Spanish Vogue magazine from -  I believe – Nico’s session.

Tokyo. Coffee shop short break after a Japanese traditional fabrics hunting, with Christophe Prebois, the fashion designer of Brutals, stylish shirts for men (coming up post). For hours we’ve zigzaged between fabrics, kimonos, shinto graveyard and empty streets, saterday early moorning. A notebook on table: sketchs and draws of Christophe’s last travel in Japan (the 9th), some “shot” like photos. Others remind me the rythm of fabrics prints. I look, take pictures. What a great surprise! Thanks a lot Christophe.

Tokyo. Coffee shop court break après une chasse aux tissus traditionnels japonais avec Christophe Prébois, le créateur parisien des chemises pour homme Brutals (interview à venir). Des heures que nous slalomons entre étoffes, kimonos, cimetière shinto et désert urbain, un samedi aux auroes. Un carnet glisse sur la table: croquis et dessins de voyage « cadrés » comme des photos. D‘autres encore rythment la page comme les motifs d’un tissus. Je regarde, photographie. Superbes illustrations. Merci Christophe.
