El duo Wisin y Yandel sigue para alante. Después de haber cantado con Enrique Iglesias y 50 cent, el grupo consigue cantar con unos de los grandes compositores y productor, T-Pain.

“Después de la canción con 50 Cent, esto es algo que tenía que pasar. T-Pain es un artista que cuando hace algo deja su marca”, dice Wisin. Y Yandel agrega para terminar; “Es uno de nuestros artistas favoritos y lo apoyamos en todo lo que hace. La gente merece un gran video, y eso es lo que vamos a darle”.

El video “Imagínate” es el primer video de su disco, “La Evolución”, en el video clip aparecen los tres cantantes asistiendo a una especie de funeral en un día lluvioso.

Que bonito sería agradarle al mundo entero. Solamente imagínate llegar a la iglesia o trabajo y que te dieran la noticia de que te reservaron el estacionamiento que está frente a la puerta porque eres súper simpático/a. Aún imagínate llegar al trabajo y que tu jefe te esté esperando con la noticia de que te subirá el sueldo por lo bien que se lleva contigo…. ¡sería genial! Pues, la realidad es que nosotros no tenemos las características perfectas para agradar a TODO EL MUNDO.

Los seres humanos pasamos por situaciones en las cuales somos criticados por nuestra manera de pensar, vestir, expresarnos y tendemos a frustrarnos. ¿Por qué debemos frustrarnos? Es sencillo, cuando algo así llega a frustrarnos es porque estamos tratando de agradar al hombre en vez de a nuestro Creador. Que alguien no esté de acuerdo con tu manera de pensar o tu manera de actuar no significa que estás mal ante los ojos de Dios. Tengamos siempre en mente que nuestro Padre es un Dios de diversidad y El nos hizo únicos, no somos un billete de 100 en un bolsillo. Nuestro enfoque debe ser siempre nuestro Dios, debemos siempre buscar agradar a El sobre todas las cosas.

Music has entranced me.

From the harmonic melodies of skilled fingers to the lyrical artistry of the underground hip hop culture, it has its varieties.  People are too creative, too incredibly innovative creating a world of musical languages that grips the multitude of human emotions that our brains can think of.  So diverse.

But its so simple.

Powerful, meaningful, inside-the-heart creation

From one harmonic connection

A resounding revelation

From another’s inspiration

That’s music.

Just imagine.

You live in a country, not just a country, a powerful nation with an even superior armed forces.  Such pride your nationality cannot be greater.  Prosperity is spoken at all corners of the country, even though you’re eating bread crumbs and brown water, it means that you are a person of great strength, sacrificing the self for the greater prosperity of the country.  You see evidence of the greatness all around, through posters and pictures and sketches and on the radio and on tv.  The rest of the world envies the vast opulence of your great nation.

You and your fellow citizens are under an amazing leadership, one who fights for the rights of the nation in the global community.  He is charismatic, charming, full of innovative ideas far too great for a normal man, even after his death you give him the title of “eternal president.”  His successor is just as great, fighting for the reunification with its weaker southern half constantly resorting to fight off any attempts for peace.  It is an insubordinate country but with the great mercy of the leader does your great nation not destroy that small piece of land in hopes of unification.  He is adorned with many gifts by the leaders of other nations, proudly agreeing that your leader is the greatest.  And rightly so.

You see his name all around, statues abound, giving glory to him.  His attempts at unifying would be so great if the southern, weaker half would break down its wall that acts a border to your lands.  They lie and contort the truth claiming that they cannot take down a wall that does not exist.  Clearly they are in the wrong because your leader is an upholder of truth and a servant to the people.  If only those pesky Americans had not dirtied the south with its armies and evil thinking, you would already be in a unified country.  The south is suffering, and you know it because the Americans spread convoluted propaganda about your nation and threaten the lives of those trying to escape that wretched southern hellhole.

You are strong, but as a nation you are unstoppable.  You live without electricity, only because of the generosity of the leader to share its resources with its struggling half after the war.  You bring out the best in the nation, a proud citizen.  Your leader is the paradigm of the ideal that you will strive to.

You are part of a superpower nation.

You are the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Long live the Leader!

Two things that simultaneously amuse and annoy me:

My spam comments appear to mostly consist of apologetic or appreciative Greek car salesmen who have emigrated to China. In the last few hours, Makis, Alexander, Agapios, Loukianos, and Themestoclis have said “Nice…”, “Cool!”, and “Sorry ” and they all come from sites with bizarre accretions of different car names suffixed with .cn.

Michaels‘ marketing tagline is apparently “Imaginate.” Actually, I’m not so much with the amusement on this one. It kind of just makes me want to punch their marketing guy in the gut.

On the plus side, all their yarns are on sale until the 17th. I’ve been jonesing for more self-striping accessory yarns as I deplete my Boku and Noro stash. Here are some stripy patterns I’ve been wanting to make:

- This Butterfly Hat looks great in self-striping yarns (Ravelry link here)

- I’m planning a Clapotis in Rowan Tapestry in Whirlpool, just like Goldtop or Kate’s

- I want to make a two-color brioche scarf with a self-striping yarn as one of the colors. Perhaps the leftover chocolate brown from my hats with the blue/purple/green skein of Plymouth Boku I have left over? (I certainly don’t remember buying that much, but it’s lovely stuff)

- I just made a really nice and addictive Kureopatora’s Scarf with Boku in shades of red. However, I think it would look even more striking in a yarn with fewer colors, such as Patons SWS in Natural Slate.

- One of these days, Lizard Ridge will be mine.

- The latest cover pattern for Yarn Forward was the cute Miss Potter fingerless mitts with a chevron pattern, knit in Rowan Tapestry.

- And I do want to make another Unicorn Pegasus Rainbow scarf for myself, perhaps in slightly less Frankian colors this time.
