Things not progressing as planned

I still have another day, but it looks like I won’t make it through Torts by Monday. First, I got drunk on Thanksgiving and lost an evening. Then I had a big proofreading project come in from a friend/professor/client that needed to be done quickly: another evening lost. I’ve spent this Saturday making breadless meatloaf (don’t ask) and watching The Proposal and Food, Inc. The proposal was great because Ryan Reynolds is very hot and was, for a moment, very naked. Food, Inc. was disgusting and revelatory. Made me want to high-tail it to a farmers’ market. Well, one more day to go (and I guess Monday night too. And since I’m 13-16 hours ahead of everyone in the US I guess I could technically go into Tuesday and meet my ‘Monday’ deadline.

God, my life-changing, lazy-ass moving resolution is off to an inauspicious start.

I watched this video (shown in the link below) of E.O. Wilson, a biologist, explaining biodiversity and the possible consequence of the loss. He was speaking about the hidden life beneath the soil that supports life.

The topic was of interest to me because of a video I did for News from Indian Country—“Tracking the monarch butterfly through corporate killing fields”—shown below:

I touched on the fact that even earthworms were being poisoned by pesticides and herbicides. Sandy Stein, secretary of Happy Tonics, and I experienced what massive doses of ammonia (fertilizer) felt like as we traveled on Route 35 alongside the concentrated animal feeding operations and monoculture fields in Kansas, USA. If we lose earthworms and kill other (unknown) soil microbes, what will be the consequence? E. O. Wilson speaks to this finite hidden world. Please watch his video. We must honor and protect biodiversity including the soil which contains the “mystery of life within.”

Nick Vander Puy, reporter from News from Indian Country, sent a quote that ties right into this plea:

“Once there were brook trout in the streams in the mountains. You could see them standing in the amber current where the white edges of their fins wimpled softly in the flow. They smelled of moss in your hand. Polished and muscular and torsional. On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not to be made right again. We Build Solutions Inc.

With the new tax credit available for Canadians I thought I might have to jump on the band wagon. So far, 2 of my girlfriends have taken advantage of this credit and then I thought, well why shouldn’t I? They gave me a business card for We Build Solutions Inc. I spoke to one of the employees and he explained to me how they could help me. Basically, they would do everything for me as far as contacting contractors, finding resources and making sure that my vision comes to reality. I guess you could call them the middlemen or like a wedding planner’s role in helping to plan a wedding. However, this has to do with house renovations.

Well, I’m happy to say that they did a wonderful job with my bathroom reno. AMAZING!!! And I managed to stay on budget which is even more amazing.

Their office is based out of Vancouver. And I just wanted to rave about this company as they saved me time from googling random contractors from the internet.

“It was back in the early 1980’s” when the phone rang and the kids mother answered the phone!

The kids mother told him that it was his best friend “Mike Oprisiu” on the phone,little did the kid know that,this was a phone call that would change his life forever.Mike Oprisiu then invited this boy over to play and well,this kid was so excited he stopped everything he was doing and went on his way to Mike Oprisiu house.when he got there Mike went downstairs and called this little boy to come down to the basement.Mike said he would like to show him something.When this little boy got downstairs Mike was not alone,Brian Williams another neighbor was there and they had taken off his clothes and beat him where there would be no evidence of a beating,then they repeatly,beat and butally raped this boy numerous times.Bonnie Oprisiu and Mark Oprisiu was at the hosipital seeing their Father Eugene Oprisiu he was sick during these days.

Brain Williams had left and Mike Oprisiu had continued with beating and raping this kid until Mike’s younger brother(Brian Oprisiu) heard crying in the basement,Brian grabbed a hockey stick and started beating Mike with a hockey stick and Brian strated crying to and when he was yelling at Mike,Brian Oprisiu called him a monster and start saying why,why?You are a monster.this is your best friend,you raped me,you raped kayo Taliski,The little boys sister,why Mike then he would hit him again.Mike just laughed and then this boy finally got his clothes and left toward home.He made it about two houses down the street and went between the houses to cry when a lady came out of the house and said to her husband I just found this little boy crying.The boy could not even speak!She asked him what was wrong and the boy could not say a word.Then the boy got home and the first thing his mother said was “you been crying” ? The boy said No mom,I’m ok . Bonnie Oprisiu (Mikes Mother) and Mark Oprisiu (Mikes older Brother) got home.Brain Oprisiu (Mikes younger Brother) must have told them what happened.This is how they handled this brutal crime ! Bonnie called up this little boy on the phone and asked him if he would meet with Mark on the corner of Judith and Rolf st.The boy said yes then Mark asked this boy “not to go to the Westland Police Deptment” and “ he would take care” of this problem himself.

If you are a young boy and been through something like this,go to the Police because you will need help dealing with something like this,you cant not keep it covered up inside you ! Bonnie and Mark was wrong in how they handled this problem!

It’s different when you are a boy and when you been through something like this !

“ No matter what people think of you”go to the Police and report the crime,it will effect you in all areas of your life !

It’s important that people know the truth about these people!

I love Pixar. I said it not that long ago, I’m saying it again. I love Pixar. This is my all time favorite move that they have ever made.

I won’t go too much into detail since I have seen this movie a ton of times. But just let it be known that I have tried to find flaws in this movie and I have been unsuccessful in every way. I only find 100% awesomeness!
Base Score = 10

+1 for not ever seeing the same type of monster more than once
+1 for the door idea
+1 for Pixar
+1 for awesomeness
