ATTENZIONE:
DI SEGUITO VENGONO SVELATI I PARTICOLARI DELLA TRAMA

Allora, questa è la mia opinione su INDIANA JONES E IL REGNO DEL TESCHIO DI CRISTALLO: a distanza di tutti questi anni essere riusciti a fare un film conservando ritmi e atmosfere dei film originali è un MIRACOLO. Spielberg è riuscito dove molti hanno fallito (vedi Lucas con Star Wars). Dobbiamo poi aggiungere che si tratta di un QUARTO episodio! Molte trilogie degli anni Ottanta a cui eravamo abituati, solitamente erano riuscite fino al secondo episodio, mentre già il terzo faceva cagare, nonostante era girato non più di due-tre anni dopo il precedente. Qui invece sono passati vent’anni dall’ultimo Indy! E nonostante ciò abbiamo un film che ha tutte le carte in regola per essere magari non all’altezza de I predatori dell’arca perduta, ma sicuramente per essere un OTTIMO quarto episodio, non so se mi spiego. I personaggi funzionano, il ritmo c’è, non ti annoi mai, godi a vedere un 90% di scene girate senza effetti digitali (dimostrando che si possono fare ancora film così; le uniche scene in CGI sono quelle finale con gli alieni e l’ufo), le battute sono simpatiche etc. etc.
Ovviamente il film ha i suoi difetti. I personaggi non tutti sono all’altezza dei precedenti: di MARCUS, SALLAH, e soprattutto di HENRY JONES SR. si sente decisamente la mancanza. Ma ripeto, è un quarto episodio, e quindi va più che bene. Indy è attorniato comunque da personaggi che riescono ad interagire con lui alla grande, se la cavano, sono simpatici, degni di condividere le sue avventure… insomma vorresti essere lì con loro, e sicuramente questo è un tipo di sensazione che Spielberg ci tiene a comunicare, uno dei motivi per cui un film d’avventura riesce o meno. A differenza di molti, mi è piaciuto il personaggio di MUTT WILLIAMS, secondo me è riuscito. Molti hanno detestato la scena alla Tarzan, ma secondo me è che i tempi sono diversi e quindi siamo tutti più critici. Il film è infatti costellato di trovate che oggi giudichiamo ingenue ma che quindici-vent’anni fa non avremmo avuto problemi ad accettare. Ad esempio la scena della bomba atomica… Ma la verosimiglianza qui DEVE essere sacrificata a favore dell’avventura e del divertimento… E’ un film di Indiana Jones, e Indy se la cava sempre. Spielberg è stato bravo a capire questo e a fare un film in linea coi precedenti. Non convince del tutto il McGuffin della storia; l’arca dell’alleanza e il Graal erano più affascinanti, c’era un che di mistico, vedi le prove che Indy deve affrontare nell’Ultima crociata per salvare il padre… Ma d’altronde ci siamo spostati dagli anni Trenta ai Cinquanta, e Spielberg e Lucas con questo soggetto hanno comunque fatto un furbata (parentesi: Indiana Jones e l’ultima crociata per me è il migliore della serie, con quell’incipit eccezionale in cui il compianto River Phoenix interpretava il giovane Indy). GIUDIZIO: Un ottimo film, Spielberg è sempre Spielberg e sa come fare il suo lavoro. Ma poi, mettetevi nei suoi panni: fai conto di essere uno scrittore, e ti dicono: devi fare un libro in base al tuo stile di vent’anni fa! Ma nel frattempo tu sei cambiato, scrivi in maniera diversa. Spielberg va ammirato solo per questo. E lo stesso vale per Harrison Ford che ha saputo cavarsela alla grande. Insomma, esperimento riuscito.

NOTE: Spielberg, Lucas e Ford al festival di Cannes hanno annunciato che se il film andrà bene non avranno problemi ad andare ancora oltre con la saga… C’è in giro il rumor secondo cui il sequel sarebbe incentrato più su Mutt Williams che su Indy, un po’ come avveniva nell’Ultima crociata dove c’era Sean Connery che faceva il padre. Effettivamente a me questo nome così immediato e incisivo – Mutt Williams – mi ha fatto subito pensare a possibili titoli di futuri film i cui “Indiana Jones e…” potrebbe essere sostituito da “Mutt Williams e…”. Staremo a vedere.

Como já era esperado, Indiana Jones e o Reino da Caveira de Cristal também liderou as bilheterias brasileiras. O retorno do arqueólogo aventureiro, porém, fez mais que isso, obtendo a maior abertura de 2008 até aqui. Com 545 cópias, o filme faturou 9 milhões de reais desde a sua estréia na quinta e levou mais de 630 mil pessoas ao cinema. Mundialmente, o longa de Steven Spielberg já passa dos 310 milhões de dólares.

E a Paramount tem ainda mais motivos para comemorar. Homem de Ferro, filme da Marvel que também tem distribuição da empresa, ocupa a segunda colocação. Com renda acumulada de mais de 20 milhões de reais, o filme alcançou o topo do ranking dos maiores do ano no Brasil, superando Eu Sou a Lenda e Meu Nome Não é Johnny.

Com queda pequena, O Melhor Amigo da Noiva ficou com a medalha de bronze e teve a segunda melhor média por sala do fim de semana, atrás de Indy, excelentes 877 pessoas.

Na quarta posição, Speed Racer, em sua terceira semana e ainda com o mesmo número de cópias que Indiana Jones (545), perdeu duas posições e amargou a pior média dos cinco mais: 276 espectadores por sala.

Fechando o Top 5, com valores bem mais modestos que os blockbusters acima, está Efeito Dominó, que fez 300 mil de sexta a domingo e atingiu seu primeiro milhão de reais por aqui.

Steven Spielberg und auch George Lucas haben verlauten lassen, dass sie durchaus noch einen 5. Indiana Jones Film drehen könnten, falls das Kinopublikum es wünscht.

Also, wenn man mich fragen würde, ich wäre dabei. Warum nicht nochmal eine trilogie wie bei Star Wars?

Nigdy nie przypuszczałem że będę zmuszony pisać te słowa. Film, który wzbudzał moją ciekawość, tęsknotę do dzieciństwa w którym z wypiekami na twarzy śledziłem fantastyczne przygody doktora Jonesa, okazał się kompletnym niewypałem.

Fabuła jest więcej niż kontrowersyjna. W zasadzie ciężko jest pochwalić za coś ten element. Idiana chowający się w lodówce która w swej obudowie ma ołów, wychodzi bez szwanku z próby bomby atomowej. Indiana dociera do tajemniczej kryształowej czaszki która okazuje się być czaszką obcej formy życia która przybyła na ziemię ponad 5000 lat temu. Obcą formę życia nazwijmy trywialnie “ufoludkiem”, ponieważ na nic innego nie zasługuje. Wątek El Dorado miasta w górach Ameryki Południowej poprzez ufoludka został połączony z tajnymi bazami Armii Amerykańskiej w Nowym Meksyku, gdzie podobno wylądował kiedyś inny ufoludek. Okazał się on przedstawicielem tej samej rasy. Ponadto pojawianie się słabo zagranej Pani doktor z ZSRR, która na swym obcisłym wdzianku na plecach ma nadruk Sierpa i Młota i napis CCCP (po angieslku ZSRR, w języku rosyjskim pisze się to zupełnie inaczej), która jest ulubienicą Stalina i jeździ po całym świecie w poszukiwaniu artefaktów mających dać niebotyczną władzę swemu przełożonemu. Kolejna sprawa Indiana podejrzany przez FBI o sprzyjanie komunistą i zawieszony w pracy na Uniwersytecie. Beznadziejne wspominki o tym że ojciec (Sean Connery) i Marcus (w poprzednich częściach fajtłapa, kolega z Uniwersytetu) nie żyją. Epatowanie ich zdjęciami, tragedia! Pojawia się młody chłopak na motocyklu, ponieważ w latach 40 i 50 nastąpił wykwit młodzieży, która jak Marlon Brando Jeździła na Hareyach i nosiła skórzane kurtki. Młodzieniec okazuje się, co łatwo przewidzieć synem doktora Jonesa, którym on nie miał pojęcia. Matką Jonesa Juniora okazuje się towarzyszka Indiany z Filmu “Poszukiwacze Zaginionej Arki”. Zostają wprowadzone kolejne postaci zupełnie nie wiadomo dlaczego. Choćby przyjaciel dr Jonesa niejaki Oxley, o którym nigdy wcześniej nie słyszeliśmy, a także jakiś ni to brytyjski agent ni poszukiwacz przygód aktor nie znanego nazwiska ale zapamiętany z serialu “Robin Hood”(Will Szkarłatny). Wszystko wymieszane i pozbawione sensu.

Akcja zmienia się co rusz ale to jeszcze bardziej komplikuje sprawę. Film nie jest ani trochę ciekawy, jest nudny nie dopracowany i bezsensownie banalny. Nawet muzyka do tej pory wspaniała z której słyną John Williams jest nijaka.

Wszystko podane na sucho bez przypraw i sosu powoduje że jedyną rzeczą którą można zrobić podejmując trud skonsumowania tego gniota to się nim udławić!

Koniec banalny dr Jones bierze ślub z Marry a Jones Junior prawie przejmuje jego kapelusz.

Mam ogromną prośbę do George Lucasa. Proszę nie robić dalszych części.

“Artyści” zakpili z nas wiernych oglądaczy i podali nam produkt który ma się sprzedać poprzez marketing a nie poprzez wartość.

Wolę obejrzeć Mumię III widziałem zajawkę, też bezsensownie fantastycznie, ale Mumia III nie zrzuci z pomnika dr Jonesa. To zrobił sam George Lucas.

Przykro patrzeć, po prostu przykro patrzeć.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

What happened? I’d like to place the blame squarely at the feet of George Lucas because…I don’t like him, but it’s probably a joint effort between him, Steven Spielberg and screenwriter David Koepp.

I was actually excited when the first trailers appeared for Indy IV; I didn’t think Harrison Ford was too old, I hadn’t had enough of Shia LeBouf, and it was awesome that Karen Allen was returning as Marion.

The thing is, they kept the plot a secret. And it’s the plot that’s the problem.

There were rumblings about the fact that, since the original films were set in the 30s, they reflected the movie serials of the time, that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, being set in the 50s, would have a B-movie feel. Which we…sort of get. But more in a bad way thatn good. You know you’re in a bad way when the main villain (dreaded commie Irina Spalko, played by Cate Blanchett) reveals she is psychic. Now, I can handle face-melting by the ark of the covenant, and 500-year-old immortal crusaders, but psychic people? And it gets worse.

The story is just…bad. Characters and plotlines introduced for no reason, terrible excuses for MacGuffins, stupid, stupid sci-fi stuff. And an abudance of unecessary cute CGI animals (I guess Spielberg really just wants to do one of those Dreamworks films, with Ben Stiller or someone in?). Just not good.

But there are some good things about the film. The many action scenes work the best (despite some often ropey CGI), and are as exciting and thrilling as anything in the other three films. Indy still knows how to throw a punch, and shoot a gun.

For every rubbishy, sentimental, wink-nod to the audience references to other films, there are others that are more “tastefully” done; Harrison Ford really isn’t too old, and Shia LeBouf is good; despite the stupid psychic powers, Ms Blanchett isn’t a half-bad villain; and some of the 50s pop-culture references are pretty good (excluding the obvious, stupid joke at the very start).

The ending’s pretty pants too; the conclusion of the “narrative” has to be seen to be believed (and not in a good way), and then we have to get a Return of the Jedi, chessy-as-hell, let’s wrap everything up-scene. The other Indys didn’t need to wrap anything up; The Last Crusade ended with them running off into the sunset!

I’m trying to keep everything vague because…well, it’s Indian fucking Jones. Regardless of what I, or anyone else, says, people are gonna go see it. Even if it is hugely disappointing, a waste of talent, and Spielberg needs to make another Munich to keep my interest in him.

So overall…not as bad as the Star Wars prequels. But still not great. Wait for the DVD.

Download John Williams – “The Raiders March”

Ich war heue im Kino und habe mir den neuen Indiana Jones Film angesehen. Ich will hier keine Kritik schreiben, sondern nur einen ersten Eindruck wiedergeben:

Ganz klar, der Film macht Spaß. Ich habe mich über 2 Stunden glänzend unterhalten. Er ist – wie von Steven Spielberg nicht anders zu erwarten – handwerklich perfekt in Szene gesetztt Ein Element, dass gerade den 3. Teil so phanitastisch macht – der Zwist zwischen Vater Sean Connery und Sohn Harrison Ford kommt auch im 4. Teil vor, wenn die Generationen diesmal in Form von Shia LaBeouf aufeinandertreffen.

Trotzdem denke ich – und das ist der einzige Wermutstropfen an dem heutigen Kinoabend – dass der Film der schwächste der Reihe ist. Es kann sein, dass ich durch die Kritiken, die ich schon gelesen habe beeinflusst bin und es kann auch sein, dass ich meine Meinung noch ändere.
