Any suited armored Judgment Chicks for you?

—- Steps —-

1 ) Cut out a piece of scrap paper and wrap it around the Figma’s arm to determine the amount of ribbon you’ll need to cut.

2 ) Measure the paper against the ribbon and cut it.

Now that you’ve got your ribbon, its time to paint it.

3 ) Grab a needle (Or a really tiny brush) and dig come white paint out with it.

4 ) Spread the paint/ Paint it.

For the straight lines on the band, i used a card to imprint the line onto the ribbon.

5 ) Finally, Sew the 2 ends of the band together or glue them together.

You can also count the number of failures you had…

Failure count.

Yesterday I had a wonderful shoot with a family I have worked with before, the Woodalls. (Pictured with the family, in the middle is their cute little dog, Max.) They are so friendly and caring. It is always a treat to work with them. They go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and part of the family. That is always so nice, thoughtful, and greatly appreciated. I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks and how much I love working with them. Everyone was so upbeat and ready to go. We got some wonderful family portraits and the whole family was ecstatic about them. Thank you again, Woodall family and I hope you have a very happy holiday! And a very happy holidays and warm wishes to you, the reader, too!

Interior designing has become a part of lifestyle to reflect one’s personality and standard of livin

Interior designing has become a part of lifestyle to reflect one’s personality and standard of living. Unfortunately, many people misunderstand interior designing to be an expensive task and postpone the work to the future. Indeed, interior designing has become extremely affordable.

We spend considerable amount of time at home with our family and should ensure to turn the place to be a heaven. Further, interior designing may help you to elevate your moods and spirits, therefore it is essential to take proper steps to implement interior designing project for your home.

If you wish to design your home with least price, check all the outlets that offer in wholesale prices. Usually, any product that costs high at the retail counters is minimal at wholesale ones. Peep inside the discount stores, in your area, to shop around and check if there is something that is up to the mark of your taste and style.

Open the World Wide Web, to have wider collection of things to decorate your home, when you are not satisfied with the local stores. Literally, you can find millions of collections, regarding your search. Within short time span, you can instantly check out plethora of online stores for decorating your interior home. By indulging in vast search will let you know the complete facts on the things you search for. Range of pricing will be well known. Generally, online bargains are incredible than in any local stores.

Some people find it easy to decorate their home, by themselves, but others need the help of professionals, as they are not familiar or not with good sense of decorating. Hiring a professional is a personal decision; yet, remember that if you are doing it all by yourself, mistakes are common and you have to pay the price for it. If that is going to be the case, it is wise to hire an expert at the primary pace.

One of my favorite things to do to keep in shape (because, lets face it, the gym can get boring) is indoor rock climbing.

Now a lot of people go “Rock climbing? There’s no way I can do that!”. Well, thats what I thought at first, too. I’m fit but certainly no athlete, so when one of my friends asked me to come along with her after work one night I roared with laughter. There was NO WAY I was going to be able to pull my entire body weight up a 20 meter wall! But, my friend convinced me to give it a go and I very quickly fell in love with it.

Did I become some kind of super athlete? Heck no. I’m still not particularly great at it (some people are amazing, like blimmin’ spider monkeys or something) but I get to the top and thats what counts! And along the way I have heaps of fun, spend time with my friends and get a complete full body workout. My back got stronger, my arms and legs toned up, and even my abs became firmer. And that’s from only one night a week!

So if you are looking for an extremely fun, social workout, then I would suggest indoor rock climbing. Lot’s of people of different ages and abilities are doing it, it’s super safe and you cant beat the rush of when you can suddenly go up walls you couldn’t tackle the week before.

Try it!

Masterbuilt 20010109 Butterball Professional Series Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer Review

I had been using an outdoor turkey fryer, since I do a lot of outdoor cooking. I own a Barbecue Master blog and the barbecue site Yes You Can Grill. While I liked the outdoor fryer, it is bulky and quite a chore to set up and use, so I went with the indoor turkey fryer by Masterbuilt along with ButterBall Turkey company this time.

The indoor Masterbuilt is very similar to the smaller indoor fryers used for French fries and stuff like that, but it’s, of course, bigger to hold a turkey. It will hold up to a 14 pound turkey but is recommended for 10 to 12 pounders. It’s also great for turkey breasts but with the temp a little lower (325 vs 375).

This is a cabinet top model, so there are not long legs and worries about tipping over a huge vat of boiling hot oil. Also, the lid closes for more safety and also helps keep the air in the house from getting all oil gunky.

You need about a gallon and a half of oil for the fryer which takes close a half hour to heat to temp.

The turkey needs to be totally thawed and also patted dry as water and oil do not mix, and water on there is going to make hot grease splatter. It’s fine to add rubs on the turkey, but that goes make the oil kind of gross. Injection is a better bet esp if you want to re-use the oil later. There’s a spout in the back to run that out to save.

Fried turkey in this Masterbuilt by Butter Ball turns out absolutely beautiful turkey. The color is very impressive. Looks like magazine turkey. It’s the flavor that matters though, and the crisp outside is favorful (esp when I rubbed it good with Pig Pens seasoning), and then the meat inside is real moist. Just all round yummy turkey and much better than so many you get that are baked or smoked and overcooked and dry.

Frying times are 4 minutes per pound, so with the 6 pound turkey breast last night, we fried around 40 minutes.

Masterbuilt 20010109 Butterball Professional Series Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer Overview

New for 2009, Masterbuilt has teamed up with Butterball to create the best performing, most convenient electric turkey fryer that is indoor safe. This counter top safe fryer will allow you to cook up to a 14-pound turkey; plus, use one-third less oil than conventional turkey fryers. A tap drain has been added to help make clean-up quicker and easier.

Quality product and quality seller – Lee G. Bray – Florida
I just wanted to say it is a great product and Amazon.com came through with shipment time even though it was a split shipment both arrived the same day. One shipper was USPS and the other FedX. I had one inquiry to Amazon and the response was fast and accurate.
Not just for turkey – A. Merin – Orange County, CA
My husband was skeptical when I had this baby delivered, but it didn’t take long to make him into a believer. We had never fried a turkey (or any large poultry for that matter) so we tested it on a 4 pound whole chicken to make sure we were ready for the real thing on Thanksgiving. Once the oil was heated up (about 30 minutes), it took about 20 minutes from start to finish (“finish” meaning carved chicken on our plates!). It was the bomb! The results were not greasy at all, just tasty. In fact, rotisserie chickens seem much greasier. Our Thanksgiving turkey turned out even better and it was so much easier than roasting. The whole thing is so easy I will definitely be deep frying turkeys and chickens all year round.

Whoa it’s December!!! Yay, my favorite month. So today I’m going to post about our little terrarium experiment that we did yesterday. This week is “G” sharing at Micah’s preschool so she decided she wanted to bring a garden to school.
*This was after persuading her to take her squirt gun out of her backpack. (yikes) I do have to give her credit for coming up with something that starts with “G” on her own, though! Man, I think I should start checking her backpack everyday…*
So we made this cute terrariums and that took care of present for dh at the same time. I hid one away so he’ll be getting one for Christmas.

I don’t know why we haven’t made one of these before, it would be a great project for a kid of any age–E-chan had fun with the rocks and did a bit of helping by climbing on the table and trying to grab the dirt. Here’s a little tutorial to help you make your own. They only cost a few dollars to make so it’s a good thrifty gift idea too!

Mini Terrariums

Supplies:
1 pint size glass bottle (I used the wide mouth Kerr jars from Safeway)
3-4 Tbsp of sand
2-3 Tbsp of activated charcoal
rocks, gravel, aquarium gravel, beads, or glass
damp dirt
moss
small plants with roots
little toys
spray bottle of water
chopstick

First go find everything on the list. I went to Petco and got the activated charcoal (which helps filter the air or something like that?), moss, and rocks. You can order moss online and it usually comes dried in a plastic package. In some mysterious way after you wet the moss it comes alive and starts to grow. Wow that is so weird. I tried to find a little package of charcoal but all they had was this big bottle in the fish section. It looks like this:

The moss cost about $6 and we had enough to make 6 pint sized terrariums. I think we put too much in each bottle, so you could stretch that to even more. The moss is probably in the reptile section of the pet store. The one I got is called “frog moss”.

Ok so I made this fancy diagram for you guys since we didn’t take pictures while we were making these (I didn’t think they would turn out!). And the baby was eating the dirt so it was hard to do everything at once.

It’s pretty easy! You just layer everything in there and spray it with the spray bottle. Use the chopstick to move things around and to make holes for the plants. I used dirt from outside our apartment, and also dug up some little plants that were growing around the sprinklers. The dirt was already damp so you should probably spray the dirt before putting it in the bottle if you get dry dirt.

The best part was finding things to put inside. I made button mushrooms for mine. P.S. Use E6000 to glue the buttons together, that shit is awesome. (Although carcinogenic so open a window when you use it) M put some toys in there.

I think those are my plastic animals from when I was little…we have all kinds of weird stuff around. Polymer clay figures would go great too, and I saw a plastic chair and fridge on Etsy that would go GREAT in one of these! Here it is: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=32525772 (Not sure how big it is, though) The other ones have beads, buttons, and shells in them. How cute would it be to have themed gardens for each season!!

I’m not so sure about how to take care of them–supposedly you only have to water them 1X a month and trim the plants so they don’t get too big. If the jar gets too damp, take the cover off and air it out for a day. Too much water will kill your ecosystem, apparently. I hope ours live for a while!

This post is brought to you by a packet of VIA instant coffee, a piece of marionberry pie and whipped cream, a well timed nap, and preschool. YAY for blogging! YAY for free time! AND NOW IT’S OVER because I have to go pick M up from school.

Please please comment if you make a terrarium and link me to your photos. Thanks so much!!! Remember, these make great gifts on a budget!!
