It was on the 11^th January 2009 at around 6pm when we had embarked on a tour of Gujarat. We had seen a few places like Lothal, Somnath temple, Gir forest, Junagadh, Porbandar etc. We liked the beauty and history of all the places we had visited thus far. The countryside was great and the weather was awesome. I had never seen such vast expanse of lush green fields wherever I had travelled in India.

We were on our way from Porbandar to Dwarka and all of a sudden, I exclaimed “Wow”. What do I see? ……… “INFINITY”!!!

Towards our right – Lush green fields with no end in sight!!!

Towards our left – The Arabian Sea with no end in sight!!!

In front of us – The endless road and the beach running parallel to each other towards Infinity!!!

On top – Clear blue sky which seemed to meet with the sea at one end and with the green fields at the other end!!!

There was not a soul on the beach. It was for the lucky six of us. We were at the right place at the right time. We feasted on this rare glimpse of nature for a few minutes until it was dark and carried on with our journey.

I will never forget this day – the day I saw “INFINITY”

I’ve been giving some thought to the objections that have been raised by those who see anthropocentricity as an objection to creationism or even theism. The epistemological gap is fundamental and cannot be avoided. I can only see the universe through my perceptions and then rely on my perceptions of others to come to what really amounts to a perception-consensus about what truth is. Nobody in the RichardDawkins.net forum seems to account for the fact that even a unity of thought, as to what scientific observations/perception mean, does not warrant the conclusion that the issue of how the universe or Man came to be is resolved.

Name one scientific rule that is wholly infallible and which can never be changed. Does evolution theory get a special dispensation from its believers? Why not admit that evolution may very well be only a partial answer, a best answer, but certainly not the final answer? Until one ‘gets off the dime’ on the position of absolutism, there cannot be the possibility of argument. If either the the evolutionists or the creationists have the absolute final answer, there is nothing to talk about. If there are, among them, those who are willing to come off the absolutism platform, at least for purposes of argument, a discussion can be had.

As Denish D’Souza points out, for example, it may very well be that is has been accepted as a rule that light travels at 186,000 mph. However, no scientist knows whether that is true in all places in the universe or near wormholes or blackholes, assuming these exist. If there is a background noise, we don’t know what happens to light at the ‘edge of the universe.’ The law of physics as they apply to light, for example, are subject to revision. In several places in the God Delusion, and in Dawkins’ Darwin Lecture at Stanford, he does unequivocally claim that natural selection and evolution are the only plausible answer(s) for all that is — thereby allowing him to eliminate one more god from the list of others who have fallen at the hands of intellectualism and science. Nevertheless, he has not, and cannot, defeat the human conception that there is something higher than genetic destiny and that higher thing sits outside of our personal/human condition.

The response that I see to the anthropocentricity objection is essentially as follows:

I am the center of my perception as you are to yours. The further we look into the world the more we come to an understanding of the atomic universe and the principles that govern it. Incredibly, microbiology seems to be coming up with many of the same findings or observations that the astrophysicists are (i.e., as to the atomic structure of all that is and the rules that govern it).

Similarly, the further out we look into the universe, we revert to a principled view of the atomic universe. Under either analysis, we come back to the same place and remain the center of our universe. We are the center of our universe and we always come back to the same place — as we must. Can you separate yourself from your perceptions? What is it that you know about the universe that has not come through and by perception?

Just think about it — at any given time, you are at a center of Earth since it is a sphere. (unless there is a desire to get into a discussion about the earth’s magnetic fields and pole alignment). Indeed, you can begin measuring away from yourself in any direction and will reach the same infinitude in terms of space and time. Prove otherwise. Until the astrophysicists can measure from Earth to the ‘background noise’, the presumption seems to be in favor of treating the Universe as though it is infinite in any direction.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that we are so anthropocentric and limited by our human condition. My own anthropocentric perception is unique and cannot be the mere byproduct of a genetic destiny and yet be so vastly different from the perceptions of others. Again, animals seem to have a limited sense of self and the ability to change the self. Humans seem to be created by evolution, or otherwise, as something completely different as to function and purpose (or lack thereof).

We are each undeniably the center of the universe known for us. Separate yourself from your perception and you might have the opportunity to live the life of an animal. Our awareness of our own perception dictates our ability to strive for change in the self, environment, and a glimpse of something higher than ourselves. Our perception is the beginning of freewill. The question seems to be whether our ability to engage in freewill (moral behavior by ‘choice’) is the result of being created/evolved from something higher or different than the general animal kingdom. In any event, the anthropocentric position is equally applicable to evolutionists as well as the creationists. Self loathing by either side doesn’t seem to fix this fundamental problem.

Absolutism has absolutely no place in human existence where it has to be admitted that human perception, even in groups, is subject to revision.

Yayoi Kusama is one of my favorite artists who emerged in the 60s, hailing from Matsumoto Japan. Her paintings, sculptures and installations all revolve around her mad obsession with repetition, infinity, pattern and accumulation. She is an interesting character due to her mental illness – she had experienced hallucinations and severe obsessive thoughts since childhood, often in a suicidal nature.

Polka dots, “infinity nets”, flowers,and later, penises became a clear obsession of hers in her work. She is often part of her own work- as the key figure in an installation or as part of a painting or photograph. She moved to New York when she was 27 and became a strong force in the art world, competing with Andy Warhol for media attention.

Edge. Nigdy ich specjalnie nie kochałem, ale zawsze podobało mi się, że jak na dzisiejsze standardy – gdzie przecież 7 to ZŁA ocena dla SŁABEJ GRY – oceniają twardo i nie patrzą się na resztę świata. Ich noty były czasem sprawiedliwe, czasem głupie, zazwyczaj – kontrowersyjne. Ale teraz złapali u mnie wielkiego plusa – wystawili Dragon Age ocenę 5 na 10. Wreszcie.

Wreszcie ktoś wyłamuje się z tego szeregu, gdzie wypisują że DA to RPG dziesięciolecia. Wiecie, czyli wypadałoby, że zależnie od interpretacji liczymy że to NAJLEPSZY RPG od 1999 lub 2000 roku. Czyli zapomnijmy o Shin Megami Tensei III, Personach, Demon’s Soul, Arx Fatalis, Deus Ex, King’s Field, czy nawet przereklamowane i przeczczone przez pecetowców MMORPGi, Diablo II, czy Baldur’s Gate II, który jest grą lepszą od DA. No i nie zapominajmy o Mass Effect, które nazwałbym jedyną naprawdę bardzo dobrą grą od Bioware. Bioware, firmy która jest chyba pecetowym odpowiednikiem Square-Enixu – popularne i kochane bo przecież RPGi są takie cool, trendi end dżezzi – szczególnie, jeśli nie trzeba wysilać przy nich za mocno mózgu i wymagać poziomu prawdziwej sztuki/rozrywki dla dorosłego człowieka, prawda? A jeszcze lepiej, że ta prosta roz(g)rywka (przeciw której nic nie mam, ot sam uwielbiam Ys) udaje coś ambitnego, mądrego i dobrze łechce ego, prawda ?

Czyli, krótko – brawa dla Edge.  Jasne, że w swojej kategorii DA jest udane, tyle że ta kategoria to genetyczny nastepca gier na Inifnity ( i to niestety nie Planescape) w posttolkienowskim, ścierwiarskim świecie. Przykre, ale kurwa prawdziwie.

A i jeszcze jedno – chyba z trzy razy ostatnio na necie widziałem wypowiedzi w stylu:

“Konsolowe a pecetowe Dragon Age to dwie różne gry – oczywiście z przewagą pecetowego – więc to dowodzi marności konsolowego RPGie”

Nie. Dowodzi za to kilku innych rzeczy – po pierwsze trzeba być idiotą, żeby uznawać konwersje sztampowej gry fantasy za wyznacznik poziomu jednego z najbardziej zasłużonych i najlepszych gatunków gier wideo na platformach, które od zawsze lepiej radzą sobie z nim niż pecety. No, a co najmniej od czasów NESa. I to idiotą z tych, którzy czekają na Risena II, Risena III, modlą się o konwersje Fable II na PC, marzą o demie/pełnej wersji DA w jakimś nowym numerze pisma z płytkami i oczywiście – często są oświeconymi po studiach. Pal licho jeszcze “ścisłowców”, ale panowie humaniści – toż to kurwa nie przystoi. Po drugie – DA konsolowe dowodzi jakimi partaczami są Bioware – i tego, ze EA wybrało zarobek nad porządną, może gorzej sprzedającą się konwersję. Wreszcie dowodzi, że konwersja została zrobiona po kosztach i gra powinna zostać tam gdzie jej miejsce – na maszynkach dorosłych fanów fantasy jarających się jak ich barbarzyńca Ragnar w towarzystwie elfa Oberyna pokonuje wioskę złych goblinów kultu Belzebuba. Dla nich to coś świeżego i oryginalnego. A najzabawniejsze jest to, że wbrew pozorom i wieści szerokiej na wyższych poziomach trudności gra wcale nie jest znacznie łatwiejsza od wersji pecetowej. Do napisania jest zresztą więcej, ale od pisania o Dragon Age bardziej produktywne wydaje mi się ogrywanie obrzydliwych, prostych i ubogich konsolowych tytułów jak Phantasy Star IV i Dragon Quest III.

I nie, nie chodzi mi o to, że ludzie jarają się tym tytułem. Chodzi mi o to, że jak zwykle łyknęli propagandę i robią z czarnego białe.

EDIT: Po głębszym zastanowieniu stwierdzam, że jednak jeśli dla kogoś DA ma być prawo najświeższym – to dla posiadaczy XO, którzy mają awersje do starszych konsol, nie grywali nigdy na PC i koniecznie chcą takiej podróży w mieczykiem w tym klimacie – innej alternatywy praktycznie nie mają. Za to na PC – takich, lepszych gier od groma. Od czasu do czasu sztampa nikomu nie zaszkodzi, ale wywyższanie jej do poziomu bóstwa buduje niepokojący obraz świata w którym ludzie na czerwone zaczynają mówić zielone i nikomu to nie przeszkadza. Szczególnie, że gra może bawić i nikogo nie czyni głupią. ALE – już tworzenie wokół niej kultu i sianie fermentu o RPGu dziesięciolecia, czy podawanie tej gry jako przykład MOCY pecetowego RPG a słabości konsolowego – zasługuje na facepalmik. Albo nawet ze trzy   Zatem … failed pecetowcy, szczególnie że tak naprawdę największą wadą wersji konsolowej jest brak edytora – a nie walki, które w rzeczy samej są bardzo podobne we wszystkich wersjach. Co więcej – nawet stoją na podobnym poziomie trudności i są jako-tako skomplikowane. Posiadacze PS3 nie powinni się czuć w żadnym przypadku usprawiedliwieni, inne gry czekają A, odbieram już też wiadomości od obrażonych fanatyków gry, którzy źle doczytali (tj nie przeczytali nawet do końca, a zinterpretowali oczywiście na różne sposoby) moje wpisy – jak widać wystarczy naprawdę dobra reklama, żeby zapanować nad czyimś umysłem. If I saw them in New York I would’ve ran up to them and screamed because I love Infinity Challenge. If the people they tried to interview knew they were comedians then it wouldn’t be like they were some morons acting like idiots because they’re not. I love Infinity Challenge and I think they’re hilarious. If people listened to their music and watched their variety shows just like me I think they would love korea a lot. If anyone is disgracing Korea it’s him.

There are only sixteen of us, if you believe the Myers-Briggsians. Or nine, if you’re a numerologist (not including 11 and 22). Or twelve, for those who subscribe to astrology. There are many other ways to count, but this writer is not familiar with all of them.

The sad sum of all this is that no matter how desperately we want to believe we’re unique, we’re not.

It has been said that there are three types of mathematicians: those who can count, and those who can’t. I am the third type. I can count, but I distrust the answer.

License plates, room numbers, book numbers, dates, tickets — all of these things are small peeks into the great infinity. Most of the time, though, I don’t understand how they add up, or what I ought to do about them. So far I have never based any major decisions on those random numerical occurrences, but it gives me something to think about when things aren’t going well.

Our house number reduces to the number seven, an auspicious number for mystics and hermits. Our last house was eight, the number of success. We were poor while living in that house. In our present home, we are far from mystical. Perhaps we are not obeying the vibrations the universe is sending out to us.

While not mystical myself, I have respect for things that don’t easily tally up. The basic physical laws of the universe could be summarized on a few index cards and neatly filed in a drawer. But there must be more cards out there waiting to be catalogued, more drawers waiting to be filled.

The universe must vibrate. There are infinite ways to count it.

I’m writing this post because so many well-meaning, conscious, spiritual people are missing some significant information and tools when it comes to Law of Attraction and being a conscious cocreator of your life with Spirit.

One of my wonderful Facebook friends recently wrote a post:

“If you examine your history, you cannot help but repeat it! Law of Attraction says it is so:

‘Whatever I am looking at, I am including in my vibration.’ — Abraham”

This sparked a controversy with 19 people weighing in, many fully agreeing and many others, myself included, objecting to this as an oversimplification and stating that, even though it is true that our focus does permeate our vibration and thus create, it is actually NECESSARY to understand and heal our past in order to learn what we need to from it and be able to truly free ourselves from its hold on us and move on into something even better.

We have to put our attention on our intention BUT if we are not aligned strongly and consistently enough with our intention, if we are trying really hard to make it happen but it’s just not working, that’s a sure sign we need to do some inner healing work before we do any more manifesting and attracting and creating. It’s inner, not, outer time, first.

I feel so strongly that so many New Age, metaphysical folks are so hyped up about positive thinking and “just focus on what you want,” they are missing something vital:

For most people, with most long-term issues, simply striving to be positive and focus on their intentions is NOT enough to bring about the desired results. We need to learn from our past, and use that wisdom to create our best future, while living in and enjoying the present.

So here I go on my soap box again.

The Abraham work and all the other good Law of Attraction stuff out there is not intended to be interpreted as “Ladeeda, we can just be positive 100% of the time and only good things will come to us. All that yucky stuff from the past – I’m done with that now and all I have to do is think good thoughts and I will attract all my desires. Abracadabra!”

So allow me to bust that myth and empower you with a much more in-depth and practical approach:

1- Our past is important. Just as our current emotions are indicators of the distance between where we are at and where we want to be, our past is one of our teachers as well. We can – and indeed need to – turn our wounds into wisdom. Some of our life experiences we may label “good” or “positive,” we feel we were successful and these we can apply to continue to utilize and build upon what worked for us, while the so-called “negative” experiences or failures are also useful in several ways.

For one thing, we can clarify more clearly what, exactly we DO want by contrasting it with what we do NOT want anymore. This applies equally well to health and lifestyle choices, work, home, community, as well as relationships.

Secondly, we can learn psychologically and spiritually: What was my lesson in this?

Thirdly,we can discover, with proper reflection, which may include prayer, meditation, journaling, counseling, or even insightful conversations, that there was truly a silver lining, a gift in every experience we have had. Sometimes we don’t see it at the time, it feels horrible, we may even be devastated that that relationship or career didn’t work out, that we had that disability or lost our house, but ultimately, when we see through the eyes of Spirit and Love, we will always find that everything happened for a reason and we can find something to be grateful for, even if it’s just the ability to make a different choice next time.

2- Until we learn our lessons from the past, we are going to UNCONSCIOUSLY repeat them. This is true of humanity when we look at larger societal choices as well as on the personal level. Ignoring our past and zapping it like it didn’t even happen is not the solution. In fact, ignoring our past and stuffing it over there, oh, that’s too messy, I don’t want to deal with that right now, does not free us from it, it actually dooms us to repeat it.

3- The Abraham work says that our DOMINANT thought is the one that runs the show, and I agree with this. The catch is: Our dominant thought is seldom a conscious thought, so we cannot expect to simply push a button and “There, I’m only going to think good thoughts, feel good feelings and make good choices from now on.”

We have to heal all those billions of subconscious beliefs that we are carrying around which arose out – what? Our past experiences and programming, of course.

I do agree that many people spend far too much time simply repeating their “story,” which actually keeps them stuck in it and keeps giving it energy. There is a big difference between looping an old version of a reality we no longer want, whining about it, being a drama king/queen, vs. actually being willing to visit the past (with support if necessary) with the intention of looking in the mirror, releasing what no longer serves, with forgiveness, finding the lesson and gift in it, and moving confidently forward into a better life we are creating for ourselves, from the inside out.

Do we need to look at our past? Absolutely.Do we need to keep telling it over and over? Absolutely not.

4- We need to process stuck emotions. Sometimes we need to move some rage. Shake off some old energy. Sometimes we need to express ourselves to someone, forgive, be forgiven, and it doesn’t matter if they’re alive or dead or whether their human self is willing to hear a word we are saying. We just talk to their Higher Self, soul to soul. We look in the mirror and show them a mirror as well. I have an extensive guided meditation and energy healing journey that I guide people through called the Healing Past Relationships Journey (soon to be available as a CD/MP3 audio) which facilitates this soul-to-soul communication, energy exchange, forgiveness and healing. Or you may be able to do it for yourself, perhaps by writing a letter or through ceremony. We need to visit our past just enough to learn from it and to heal it, not rehash it or keep talking about it for decades.

We also need to forgive ourselves. And forgive God!

5- We need to heal core issues and heal on all levels.

For example, some of my recent clients have improved their relationships, found lasting love, launched their heart-centered business, created more harmony in their parenting or other family relationships…..In every case, we needed to do some deep CORE ISSUE healing at the level of the SOUL and the ENERGY FIELD, the kind of healing that is more difficult to do by one’s self when we are emotionally caught up in our “stuff,” scared, frustrated and depleted.

I do sometimes have clients who try to turn the sessions into talk therapy and keep going on and on about their problems. They are stuck in their story. So I ask them, “Do you want to talk about it or do you want to heal it?” If they keep wanting to talk about it, they are not ready for the kind of healing I do. If they want to heal it, I can help them heal themselves but we have to go much deeper than just talking. Deep omnidimensional energy healing at the soul level i.e. soul retrieval, regression, rebirthing, hypnotherapy/NLP, ceremony, forgiveness work, can be extremely helpful, especially if a person is unable to break free of an old belief/energy. We shift the energy & belief at the original cause and core. I channel empowering self-healing techniques they can do on their own to continue the healing and keep building the positive energy.

We don’t ever have to be 100% healed, nor is that even possible so long as we are human. But we need to be healed enough to be free to focus on what we do want, move forward and create from an aligned, clear, positive state of being and love.

6- ALIGN, ATTRACT, ACT.

People so caught up in the Law of Attraction who simply read a few books, go to a few workshops, watch a couple of movies, often fail to understand that trying to get into ACTION mode before you are ALIGNED does not work. Law of Attraction works – once we are aligned with our desires. If some part of our subconscious mind or energy field is still playing the tape of a limiting, negative belief, we are not going to be able to just attract what we want, no matter how many affirmations we say or vision boards we make!

7 – I want to make one more point about the past and this concept of time. We can only live in one time: the present. We need to heal and learn from our past and draw upon its power, we need to envision and align with our best future, and yet we can only live right here, right now. All times exist in this moment of choice: now.

I personally feel we need to spend MOST of our attention right here, where we live. In this body. On this planet. Enjoying this life to the fullest. Mindful. Heartful. Soulful. Bodyful. Beautiful! When we work with the concept of time as fluid and simultaneous and quantum rather than linear, we find that every moment is a portal home.

We can also change our past shamanically, redream it. This helps us create our best future as well. This can be done through shamanic trance healing and/or conscious dreaming.

We each have the power to facilitate miraculous healing and success beyond our wildest imagination. We don’t have to spend years healing the past. We can heal it in an instant, or it may take several months or longer, but if we go deep enough and work at the level of the soul, core beliefs and original causes, the quantum and cosmic fields and on all levels, if we do this work with a vibration of love for ourselves and all beings, we will grow into being who we came here to be.

I love the Abraham work but sometimes a phrase taken by itself does not present the complexities of the spiritual nature of the Universe. True healing and conscious creation of our lives will always involve navigating the territory of our past with loving kindness and forgivness, with an open mind and a willingness to learn and grow so we can create an even better future. And we can do this today.
