Jangan gundah, ada baiknya anda coba sebuah software yang tidak kalah hebat fungsinya dari Nero. Bahkan tanpa perlu repot install, ukuran filenya pun sangat kecil, serta sangat portable (tentu saja bisa anda taruh dalam Flash Disk kesayangan anda). Ukuran master filenya hanya 3,7 MB. Coba bandingkan dengan sebuah master Nero yang mencapai 100 MB.

Nama software ini InfraRecorderPortable (keluaran www.portableapps.com)

Ya..bukankah sekarang ini sudah zamannya software portable? (sudah nggak zaman punya program yang besar dalam CD/DVD). Saat ini sebuah software hanya butuh beberapa MB untuk diborong masuk flash disk. Ini bisa-bisa menjadi ancaman serius bagi software house raksasa seperti Microsoft, Adobe, dan yang lainnya.

OK. Ini dia tampilan sang pengganti Nero.
Mirip sekali dengan Nero bukan?

Saya sendiri, sedang menjajal kemampuannya, karena program Nero saya lagi sakit, eh, lagi error.

Cara penggunaan program, hampir sama dengan Nero. Bahkan jauh lebih simple.
So…jangan fanatik sama Nero. Jadikan InfraRecorderPortable sebagai alternatif bijak.

Die bekannte Brennsuite Nero gibt es nun zum ersten Mal in einer funktionsreduzierten Gratis-Version. Das hört sich zunächst einmal prima an, schließlich ist Nero mit der zeit zu einer riesigen Sammlung von Tools angewachsen, von denen die wohl die wenigsten überhaupt genutzt werden. Wenn sich Nero Free also aufs Brennen beschränkt, ist das keineswegs ein Minus. Leider ist aber der Funktionsumfang schon sehr stark eingeschränkt, die Gratis-Version beherrscht gerade mal das Brennen und Kopieren von Daten-CDs & -DVDs. Wer z.B. eine Audio-CD erstellen möchte, muss sich nach Alternativen umsehen. Und da gibt es einige, die nicht nur immer kostenlos zu haben sind, sondern Nero Free in Sachen Funktionen ziemlich alt aussehen lassen. Bestes Beispiel ist CDBurnerXP, der Daten-, Audio- und Video-CDs & -DVDs gleichermaßen erstellt und kopiert. Ebenfalls empfehlenswert ist die Freeware InfraRecorder.

Daneben existieren noch zahlreiche weitere kostenlose Brennprogramme, die wie Nero Free in ihrer Funktionalität eingeschränkt sind. Wenn man die jeweiligen fehlenden Features nicht braucht, können auch diese Tools eine Alternative sein. DeepBurner Free brennt z.B. keine Video-DVDs und kann Medien nicht kopieren. FinalBurner Free kopiert ebenfalls nicht, und kann mit Video-CDs und Image-Dateien nicht umgehen.

La creazione di immagini ISO di CD e DVD permette di poter disporre di un file che riproduce in tutto e per tutto le caratteristiche del supporto di partenza, avere quindi un’esatta copia che può poi essere masterizzata per creare una copia di backup. Ciò si rende necessario nel caso in cui volessimo preservare i nostri supporti originali che prima o poi si usurerebbero.

In un mio precedente post vi ho già segnalato alcuni software con in quali si possono masterizzare ma anche creare immagini ISO. Dei due, anche se esteticamente meno accattivante, è di più immediato utilizzo InfraRecorder, basta lanciare InfraExpress e da menu cliccare su copy -> Create Image from Disc ed il gioco è fatto.

Approfitto di questo post per segnalarvi adesso un altro software free nato ad uso e consumo di immagini ISO: ImgBurn. Già da quanto descritto in homepage potete farvi un’idea delle diverse modalità di utilizzo, accessibili peraltro facilmente.

Come potete vedere oltre alle comuni modalità di masterizzazione di file e cartelle, sono presenti pure la creazione di immagini ISO a partire dalle stesse o da un CD o DVD in nostro possesso, il che è l’oggetto principale di questo post.

In tal caso basta cliccare su “Create image file from disc” per avviare la procedura, previa specificazione del percorso e del nome del file ISO da creare.

Per quale altro scopo creare immagini ISO?

Now that you’ve sorted out your partitions, you should be ready to burn Windows 7 to a disc. To do this, you’ll need software that will allow you to burn your copy of Windows 7 to a blank/re-writable DVD. I decided to use InfraRecorder, which is free and open source. Simply open InfraRecorder, click on Actions (at the top) and then click on Burn Image.

Locate the Windows 7 file that you downloaded. I downloaded it to the Desktop as it’s an easy place to find things. Just click on the file and click on Open.

Next a box will pop up asking you various settings such as the burn speed (lower burn speeds mean that the burning process will take longer but will be quieter, higher burn speeds mean that the burning process will take a shorter amount of time but the drive will make a lot of noise). Once you’re happy with what you’ve got, click on Ok.

My disc contains the original public Beta of Windows 7, so if your DVD disc contains existing data, the program will prompt you and will ask if you want to remove the data first. Click Ok to remove the data and the burning process will begin. It may take a while depending on how quick your DVD Drive is, but after it’s done, you should have a DVD with the Windows 7 Release Candidate on it. Now all you have to do is install it!

Como 1º post vou falar de um programa de gravação, o infra recorder.

Um programa freeware, mas que possui tudo o que é necessário neste tipo de programas. Gravação de cd, dvd, audio, video, ISO, entre outros… É um programa bastante leve e eficaz, e para quem gosta de algo diferente no visual este programa contem uma “animação” que apenas funciona no aero do windows vista enquanto grava um CD/DVD.

Esta função tem a possibilidade de ser desactivada.

Sem dúvida um programa a experimentar, e até manter.

This night, instead of sleeping like most normal human being, I was up and running to check what’s happen to the recent Microsoft update for Windows XP, which was in an unattended installation…  And, by the way, instead of waiting for the result, I was surfing on Internet and checking the Yahoo! site called “Yahoo Answer”.  Whilst browsing in the site I found a question posted two hours ago from a user and, as usual when I know the answer, I prepare off-line, a complete answer to the asked question…

The user was very confused and focus on an error message common to Windows OS in some circumstances: “The memory could not be read (or write) at the address… blah blah blah”.

But this user reveal some aspect of his [temporary?] status of InterNUT © climenole.

So, here my answer and the interesting aftermath… 

First let me give you the translation of the error description by Mr. Jean-Claude Bellamy, MS MVP, engineer at EDF and one of the most respected expert for MS Windows OS:

” This error stems from a software problem. The memory could not be read or write to mean a given moment in application running in the foreground, there is attempt to read a memory address that is “outside the boundaries” Under NT, preemptive multitasking OS, any application (user level) is assigned a memory, not shared with other applications, and conversely the application be held in this memory. If, by chance, it needs more memory, it made the request “official” system, which will award him the “rab” equally “official”. But she has no right to use any single one! ; +) It is totally forbidden to access (read or write) to the memory unauthorized.

This may occur, usually following a bug in the application (or install). The typical case occurs when using pointer (variable containing memory addresses). If the developer has failed to properly initialize the pointer to the execution the program will want to read or write to memory address “0″, which is (and because,in the case this address does not match anything).

Often, it is an irreparable error of the application (bug as already said). So contact the editor, expect a new version.

In other cases, it is a weird case, not provided by the publisher who crashed only with hardware configurations and / or very special software.” JCB

A) THE PROBLEM analysed

1) Now this is the error message you have:

“svchost.exe – Application error
the instruction at 0×46fe453a referenced memory at 0×46fe453a. the memory could not be written…”

a) The explanation given before may help you to understand what’s going wrong
but not the solution to fix that mess.

b) In the case of your problem it’s obviously a case of a “very special softwareS”:
at least one cracked software plus the “gifts” added with that kind of stuff.

2) This is the first error YOU make:

“I’ve downloaded a73 piano station w/ crack(i have no money to buy a license)”

Cracked softwares founded mainly in warez sites are one of the main sources of malwares.
When you get “free” stuff from them they also give you a “gift” with it: a dropper, a downloader
or any kind of malware to infect your system. I remark that your AntiVirus makes no warning
when you download and installed this cracked program…

Did I’m right? May be the “On Access” protection was not enabled or this is a very bad AV or there is some vulnerability in the security process…

To verify by yourself what I’m saying here I suggest you to use one of these Firefox extensions to check with trustable sources of information about the web sites you visit:

McAfee Site Advisor

WOT (Web of Trust)

As stated by Bruce Schneier, “Security is not a product, it’s a process” and the most important
factor into Internet security in the behaviour of the user not mainly the security tools used.

3) This is the second error YOU make:

“i left my computer open for 5 hours and when i was gone my brother messed it up…”

No Sir. You make the mess. Take your responsability please. You own this PC?
So you are the system administrator and responsible for what’s happen to it and with it.

4) This is one of the symptoms resulting from your first error:

“i used avg antivirus and hell it scanned 1672 virus infected files…”

Not one or two: 1672!

So for a cracked software you will have to loose your time and may be some of your
valuable data… What is the value of your time? How much per hour?

B) THE SOLUTIONS: hints to get out of that mess

[I guess you're using W xp using my Crystal Ball... ]

1) Boot the PC in Safe Mode

a) Stop the System Restore service

Malwares infect the SR files and makes them useless.
In the familly of malwares, the worms used also the
System Restore to restore … themselves!

Since we have no idea if it’s the case of your PC
and it’s possibly infected by at least one worm,
this is the best and reasonable decision.

From the Control Panel
System / System Restoration tab / check the option to disable SR
This will stop the SR service and delete all SR points in your system.

b) keep the system at minimal for booting:

Disable all programs running at the user startup
EXCEPT the anti-virus (and, if it’s apply, the 3 rd party Firewall)

Start / Run / msconfig
startup tab: uncheck all programs to disable them
Then reboot…

2) Check if you have an access to Internet

If you have an access to Internet:

a) update your AV and run a scan

b) make a cross check with an online AV such as:
….TrendMicro
….Works with any web browser and used Java to run the scan.

c) Use the COMBO FIX from Bleeping Computer:

….Read and follow carefully the instructions.

If you don’t have an access to Internet:

a) Use an other computer with an Internet access and:

.- download the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows
…This include many AVs: read the warning about AVs……

.- Burn the ISO file on a CD with your CD burner program or use this one:
…InfraRecorder

b) Boot the infected PC with this CD

- Check the Bios setup to be sure the CD reader is the First bootable device and the Hard disk the second…
- Boot on this CD and run the AVs
- Restart your computer at the very end of the process.

So I was a bit proud of my answer and I returned to the Yahoo Answer to reply to this user question and discover user delete the message posted a couple hours ago…

This story shows you what I mean by InterNUT:

• Post a question without giving all pertinent informations e.g. on which OS…
• Make no research by himself
• Download cracked programs as well as clicking on any link without thinking B4
• Reject his own responsability to others, in this case “his brother” (usually it’s Bill Gates)
• Have thousands infected files even with an AV installed
• Don’t wait for the answer and, I’m pretty sure of this, going to reinstall Windows from scratch loosing datas and the occasion to learn and becomes an Internaut  or, if you prefer, a cybercitizen.

Well, did I waste my time? Absolutely not: I posted this story here because I’m sure that you, my valuable readers, will learned from this and stay away of that “e-st00pidity”.

OK, so maybe that program can wreak a CD until it’s nothing but trash, but using it in vista is fun!

I must have been insane when I bought a copy of Nero 8 almost a year ago.  Perhaps my judgement was clouded by tales of Nero being the ultimate tool for working with CD & DVD media.  How I wish I had saved myself some money and just looked for an open source application then.

I really just use Nero Express most of the time to burn discs as well as Nero ImageDrive to manage virtual drives that I use to load ISO images from my hard drives.  I have tried on occasion to look into some of the other applications but the user interfaces are over-complicated and the documentation is frankly shocking; so I never got very far.

The one thing that I have tried to do a few times, today being the latest; and which has prompted this rant is to copy a data DVD to an ISO file that I can later mount with the aforementioned ImageDrive.  Having previously used applications like Magic ISO Maker I would expect this to be a simple operation involving just a click or two and the selection of a file to save the disc image to, but no; Nero makes this so complicated that each occasion I have had a need to do it has prompted a session of searching for help with Google, only to end in frustration and the use of some other piece of software.

In this latest episode I recalled that LifeHacker covered the Five Best CD and DVD Burning Tools recently in their Hive Five series.  I grabbed a copy of the portable version of the top pick, InfraRecorder and had it up and running after a simple unzip; portable applications are great.  Lo and behold, there was the very thing I expected, a simple button that opens a dialogue, asks you to select the source and the destination, then gets on with the job without further ado.

So, as far as I’m concerned Nero AG might as well strike me off their mailing list right now; they’re just wasting electrons by sending me e-mails suggesting I shell out more money for Nero 9, which is probably even more bloated and complex than Nero 8 is.

Es un shareware ($80 windows, $25 linux) y ha estado por mucho tiempo en el gusto de los consumidores . Algunos (yo incluido) se quejan de ke nero es lento y pesado (y los 370MB de Download, 2GB libres de espacio requerido y una laaaarga instalacion no le ayudan en nada), sin embargo algunos concuerdan en ke si solo instalas lo ke necesitas de este paquete hace su trabajo bien y eso no se puede negar. Requiere .NET 3.5 en windows.

Sebbene da qualche anno assistiamo ad un continuo aumento della capacità degli hard disk e di altri supporti rimovibili (es. pen drive), è sempre meglio salvare i nostri dati (documenti, foto, musica, filmati, etc.) su CD/DVD. Windows offre già la possibilità di scrivere dati su CD/DVD però è meglio rivolgersi a software dedicati che permettono, inoltre, di eseguire altre operazioni. Tra i tanti che si possono trovare in rete ve ne consiglio 2:

• CDBurnerXP è un programma a dir poco ottimo. Non mi dilungherò, il sito offre screenshots ed informazioni molto dettagliate. Potreste aver qualche problema nella lettura dei CD/DVD da voi creati se doveste usarli su dispositivi portatili o in alcuni modelli di dvd player “da tavolo”. E’ un problema comune a molti utenti (me compreso), qui potete trovare una spiegazione (ed un possibile rimedio) mentre nelle FAQ potete trovare la soluzione (leggere la risposta alla domanda “Why does the burned DVD not work in my DVD Player?”). In ogni caso vi consiglio “caldamente” di fare le vostre prove utilizzando CD/DVD riscrivibili.
• InfraRecorder non è certo graficamente gradevole come CDBurnerXP, ma è lo stesso dotato di tutte quelle funzioni che vorremmo trovare in un software di masterizzazione. Per essere subito operativi è disponibile una video guida che vi guiderà passo passo alla conoscenza del software.

La video guida indicata è soltanto una tra le tante (e tra le innumerevoli altre risorse che potrete trovare) a disposizione sul sito dell’Istituto Majorana di Gela.

To burn Ubuntu to a disc, I am using a program called InfraRecorder. This program is free to download and is Open Source.

To burn Ubuntu to a disc (The disc needs to have a capacity of at least 700MB), you will first need to download it. Ubuntu (Desktop edition) can be downloaded here. For other versions of Ubuntu, you should take a look at the Ubuntu website.

Anyway, once you have Ubuntu downloaded and InfraRecorder installed, you should open InfraRecorder and click on Actions, and then on Burn Image. Select the Ubuntu file that you downloaded and you’re good to go!
