În România, conform ANR (Asociatia Nevazatorilor din România) sunt circa 80.000 de nevăzători, persoane încadrate în categoriile de handicap vizuale grav, accentuat şi mediu. Pentru aceștia există evident o serie de drepturi reglementate prin lege. Unul dintre ele, care face obiectul articolulului de azi este acela de a avea tipărit pe ambalajul medicamentelor denumirea acestuia în Braille.

În concordanță cu articolul 56, aliniatul a) din directiva 83/2001 a Consiliului European este obligatorie traducerea în alfabetul Braille a denumirii medicamentelor pe ambalaje din octombrie 2010. Această directivă include toate medicamentele care au fost introduse până 2005.

La nivelul Consiliului Europen s-a format un comitet (The European Committee for Standardization (CEN)) care lucrează pentru standardizarea Braille. Acest grup de lucru care reunește firme din industria de ambalaje farmaceutice, asociații de nevăzători din întreaga Europă, lucrează de mai bine de 3 ani pentru realizarea unui standard care impune folosirea fontului Marburg medium și determinarea înălțimii punctului “Braille” folosit în întreaga comunitate europeană. Una dintre principalele probleme a fost determinarea înălțimii punctului “Braille” cu care să fie de acord toate asociațiile de nevăzători și toate firmele producătoare de tehnologie și care evident să definească toate nevoile celor nevăzători. Standardul final se dorește a fi gata înainte de octombrie 2010.

La noi în țară a fost elaborată Legea 95/2006 privind reforma în sănătate în conformitate cu normele europene privind industria medicamentelor. Aceasta definește la capitolul 5, articolul 766 obligația ca un ambalaj farmaceutic să conțină denumirea și concentratia unui medicament in limbaj Braille. Prevederile Legii 95/2006 nu se vor aplica retroactiv, ceea ce inseamna ca doar pentru produsele care vor intra din 2008 – legea intră în vigoare în 2008 – pe piață se va utiliza alfabetul Braille pentru redarea denumirii comerciale a produsului și a concentrației substanței active conținute.

Alfabetul Braille
Alfabetul Braille este un sistem de scriere folosit de cei cu deficienţe de vedere. Literele sunt compuse din puncte ieşite în relief care pot fi simţite cu ajutorul degetelor. Literele de la A la Z au fiecare semne corespunzătoare în Braille.

Sistemul a fost creat de Louis Braille în 1825. Sistemul se bazează pe o matrice de şase puncte aranjate pe două coloane de câte trei puncte.

La nivelul producătorilor de medicamente românești doar firma Ozone a aplicat până acum acest articol și numai pentru unele medicamente. La nivel de producători de ambalaje lucrurile nu stau nici aici foarte bine fiind destul de puțini care dețin tehnologie pentru Braille.

Tehnologii de imprimare Braille
În principiu pot fi 4 tipuri de tehnologii de imprimare pentru alfabetul Braille: serigrafică, prin embosare, flexografică și inkjet.

Cea mai nouă dintre ele tehnologia de imprimare inkjet, folosește cerneală UV de vâscozitate mare pentru a produce punctul Braille. Cerneala eliberată printr-un sistem de microvalve (BrailleJet Print Head) este ulterior trecută printr-un uscător (SenSecure Dryer). Tehnologia are aplicabilitate în domeniul farmaceutic acolo unde poate poate înlocui cu succes celelalte tehnologii pentru tiraje scurte și poate deveni competitivă prin prețul scăzut. Are câteva avantaje majore în comparație cu celelalte tehnologii: contur foarte bun al punctului, este foarte ușor de integrat, nu există un timp prealabil de pregătire pentru producție, are o bună stabilitate a picăturii și este foarte ușor de utilizat. Această tehnologie este pusă în practică de firma Atlantic Zeiser prin sistemul BrailleJet.

BrailleJet respectă standardul UE – font Marburg medium și înălțimea punctului Braille ajustabilă 0,2-0,3mm. De asemenea un avantaj care îi conferă valoare este multitudinea de substraturi pe care se poate face aplicarea: hârtie, carton, PE, PA, PET, aluminiu.

Pentru monitorizarea producției și controlul calității sistemul BrailleJet este echipat cu BraileVision Camera. Sistemul BrailleJet poate tipări două randuri de text la o singura trecere, iar pentru acoperirea unei suprafețe mai mari pot fi cuplate mai multe capete.

Sistemul BrailleJet poate fi combinat cu alt sistem de la Atlantic Zeiser, Omega care este un sistem inkjet special de fabricare a etichetelor.

- Cartridges with a print head (All HP, Lexmark, some Canon)
This is caused by weak contact with the printer, or dirty contact points on the cartridge or printer. Clean the print head and the printer with a lint-free cloth or paper towel dipped in alcohol, distilled water or a non-greasy cleanser. Clean in a circular motion.
Try reinstalling the cartridge. “Drop” the cartridge into the holder and slightly wiggle the cartridge a few times to ensure correct seating. Then lock the cartridge in place.

- Cartridges without a print head (Epson, most Canon, Brother, Xerox)
This is most common when using remanufactured Epson ink cartridges with a chip in the front of the cartridge. The reason is that the chip is not properly connecting with the printer. Try pushing it firmly down and make sure it is properly seated. If this does not solve the problem, turn the printer off, remove the cartridge and reinstall, making sure it’s correctly seated. Turn the printer back on and see if the cartridge is recognized. If not repeat this process until it is.

With the holiday season upon us now, this is one of the prime times to get the printer working into overdrive.  You have holiday letters, holiday photos, family photos, pet photos, etc . . . so the question becomes, how do you spend less money on your Holiday Printing?

1. Preview, Preview, Preview – Sounds simple, but more often than not, people do not preview what they print prior to printing.  Reading over the letter or looking closely at the photo prior to printing can help avoid spelling your kid’s new pet’s name wrong.  With photos, make sure that you want it printed like it is.
2. Test print first – Before you print the final copy of anything, print off one or two copies on regular paper on the lowest quality and then inspect them.  Does it fit right, do the colors look okay (remember draft mode of quick mode will look faded), do I want to make any changes?  These are the questions to as prior to printing the final copy.
3. Select the right paper – Believe it or not if you tell your printer through it’s properties that you are using glossy photo paper instead of matte or copy paper, it makes a difference.  Try to chose the paper that is closest to what you have.  Also, make sure you buy the right paper, Laser Paper does not absorb the ink correctly, unlike Inkjet Paper does (for photos).
4. Make sure you have enough ink – Holiday Season is one time I stress to our customers to have one extra set on hand for their printer.  Finding out at 10 o’clock at night that you do not have enough ink for the family photo that is for the Christmas party tomorrow is never a good thing.
5. Print in spurts – Do you have 100 letters you send out or 100 photos you include with the letters?  Do not print them all at once.  Printing in spurts of 10-25 can save you a lot of hassle.  If you run out of ink and your printer still keeps printing (Certain HP and Lexmarks), it is much easier to reprint 5 pages instead of 50.  Also, the printers need to cool down.  Inkjet printers are not designed for heavy use, so leaving them set for 5-10 minutes between prints is good.
6. Take your photos somewhere to print them off – During the holiday season certain places have specials on printing photos for you.  The magic size is 5 x 7, most of the time prints smaller than that size are cheaper to have someone print for you.  While prints larger than that are cheaper to do at home.  But this depends on your printer as well.  Certain printers just cost more than others to run.

Un subiect demult inceput chiar de specialisti care nici in ziua de azi nu si-a gasit un raspuns concret.

Voi incerca, in cateva randuri, sa aduc cateva sugestii/argumente care poate vor fi de ajutor acelora dintre  dumneavoastra care sunt nehotarati sau se pricep mai putin.

E bine de stiut ca nu exista o regula scrisa de genul, pentru acasa iti iei imprimanta inkjet si pentru birou imprimanta laser, sau la birou iti iei un laser mono si acasa un inkjet color. E adevarat ca in ziua de azi nu mai exista decat inkjet color, in plus exista o tendinta care spune ca un inkjet este recomandat pentru acasa, dar pana la final cred ca va voi convinge ca lucrurile nu stau chiar asa. Insa in primul rand cand vreti sa alegeti o imprimanta, trebuie avute in vedere necesitatile, daca e pentru acasa sau la birou, ce volum de printuri veti scoate, color sau mono, si bineinteles bugetul alocat, acestea fiind cam cele mai importante aspecte care trebuie avute in vedere.

Imprimantele inkjet de astazi au devenit extrem de performante, rapide, dispun de o gramada de functii motiv pentru care sunt extrem de atractive in detrimentul celor laser, mai ales avand in vedere costurile mult reduse.

Voi analiza acum, mai amanuntit un caz particular, presupunand ca avem nevoie de un print mono ( negru ), si voi exemplifica. Alegerea unei astfel de imprimante porneste de la necesitatile noastre : daca vorbim de buget in acest caz preturile sunt asemanatoare un laser Samsung ML-1640 fiind aproximativ 230 lei iar o imprimanta pe cerneala ieftina este in jur 160 lei ( HP Deskjet D1660 ). O diferenta de 40% dar cum pretul este totusi mic, diferenta nu mai pare asa de mare. Practic primul criteriu l-am eliminat. Dupa aceea ne gandim la volumul lunar recomandat la cele cu inkjet in jur de 1000 pg/luna iar la cele laser pleaca de la 5000 pg/luna. Singura necunoscuta ramane legata de posibilitatea de a printa sau nu color, insa cum am stabilit ca vorbim de printuri mono cea mai buna alegere ramane o imprimanta laser.

Iar ca  sa devin si mai convingator va mai spun ca un alt aspect important este costul printului per pagina motiv pentru care am luat si un exemplu un cartus pe cerneala si altul laser :

inkjet HP21 ( C9351AE) – aproximativ 60 lei cartusul original – 190 pg printate cu 5% acoperire pe pagina producatorului – inseamna aproximativ 0,31 lei/pg.
inkjet HP21 ( C9351CE) – aproximativ 90 lei cartusul original – 475 pg printate cu 5% acoperire pe pagina producatorului – inseamna aproximativ 0,19 lei/pg.
laser HP Q2612A – aproximativ 270 lei cartusul original – 2000 pg printate cu 5% acoperire pe pagina producatorului – inseamna aproximativ 0,14 lei/pg.

Iata ca si in aceasta situatie imprimanta laser este mai avantajoasa. Nu la multe cartuse pe cerneala aveti sansa sa gasiti si un cartus cu capacitate mare ca in exemplul dat, asa cum nici la cartusul laser nu veti gasi cartus cu capacitate mare. Deasemenea trebuie avut in vedere ca si in situatia in care gasiti modelul de cartus de care aveti nevoie cu capacitate mare, este posibil ca acesta sa nu mearga la imprimanta dumneavoastra. De aceea atunci cand faceti o alegere trebuie avut in vedere si acest lucru.

Si in final, dar nu in ultimul rand, poate cel mai important lucru pentru noi, este ca aceste cartuse sa se poata reincarca. Nu uitati ca nu toate cartusele pot fi reincarcate. Unele cartuse au chipuri care inca nu se gasesc, altele pur si simplu nu se pot reincarca, altele mai ales acelea care sunt foarte noi creeaza probleme la incarcare si necunoscandu-se tonerul sau cerneala necesara se ingreuneaza rezolvarea problemelor, altele nu pot fi reincarcate decat odata sau de maxim doua ori. Si deasemenea trebuie sa faceti un cost per pagina si in functie de reincarcarea cartusului. In afara de toner mai trebuie luate in calcul costurile cu cilindri ( drum unit ). La cerneala exista un risc ceva mai mare de a se defecta cartusele, mai ales in situatia in care imprimanta nu este folosita frecvent, existand riscul de uscare al cartusului ( duzelor ).

Per total, cred ca in situatiile in care nu este imperios necesar un print color alegerea unei imprimante laser reprezinta cea mai buna alegere. Chiar si atunci cand este nevoie de imprimanta cu retea exista solutii la preturi avantajoase.

PS: voi reveni si cu o discutie despre imprimante inkjet versus laser color si deasemenea despre multifunctionale.
