Surprisingly, because my sleep schedule was messed up, I fell asleep rather early last night.  I guess I tend to get sleepy when grinding in RPGs (you can assume I was playing Devil Survivor). お母さん, always seems to like to wake me up at the worse moments… because she woke me up at 5:30 to give me subway change.  Though I don’t have school today due to Veterans day.  So I’ve been up since because I initially couldn’t fall back asleep.

I browsed wigs (yeah haha) and chatted to Kevin being a bum in class (but he deserves so because he got the highest grade in the midterm – 90 – where as most of the class got 50s-60s).

I haven’t gone to Anime Expo since.. it moved to Los Angeles.  It’s not ’cause it moved.. it was just the last AX I went to was utterly disappointing to the point I LEFT EARLY by TWO DAYS.  It partly had to do with the rooming situation.  Plus AX seemed to be getting boring every year, so I decied not to go. Although I did want to go to AX09 for Morning Musume.. but I didn’t

I plan to got next year though… and I feel “naked” if I don’t cosplay at a con!

It took… a while, but I finally think I have finalized my Anime Expo 2010 costumes:

I chose Ino, because I like her and GGX in general.  My friend also used to say I reminded him of Ino – possibly because we both have a “beauty mark” in the same area of our face. I think this might be the hardest costume. We’ll see!

So, I’ve loved rhythm games since I started Middle school. I used to play DDR religiously.  In high school I started playing Para Para Paradise, and though I’ve wanted to play Pop n’music for awhile, I didn’t get to do so till college – when I met a guy with a love of rhythm games + a hacked fat PS2 + the controller.

The game is really fun – for button hitting.  The character designs have always been fun too.  I’ve always had a large list of popn characters I’ve wanted to cosplay, so I decided this was the year I would do one. Kanoko was my choice

Apparently there will be a Pop n for the Wii released in the states this month.  To be honest, I might play it.. but it seems somewhat disappointing.

Why?

It seems rather mundane with just shaking the wii-motes to be honest…

When it comes to popn and other bemani games… it’s totally all about the controllers!

I’m actually planning to Mod my PS2 slim silver (yes it’s possible Kevin) so I can play popn again.  I’m planning to save up for the controller too, as well as Para Para Paradise+control.

I’ve been planning to make this costume for Tommy Heavenly^6’s Heavy Stary Chain.  I plan to do it with the cape, not the coffin.  Also, if Kev comes or someone else that is male, I’d prob make them dress as her “back up band”. Maybe it’s an excuse for me to make a cute outfit and buy some red shoes too

Viola is actually a costume I have. I just never finished it, so I figured I should take the time to finish it, because I really did like how most of it came out, and she never really was worn because it wasn’t completely done by AX time! IT shouldn’t be so bad because it’s almost done.. just need to dig it out.

I don’t think I finished my Ragnarok Online High Priest either… maybe this is a maybe, I will finish and wear it too.

Last, this outfit is probably more for going out/dinner/whatever with friends. To be honest, I love this outfit of Park Bom’s but I like Min-ji’s alt outfit too.

I am addicted to this video though! It’s a catch song, but most of all it’s so colorful. I love colors.

I actually thought it would be fun to get a group together – because… it’d be more of an impact/more noticable.  My brother is most likely going to AX and one of the big bang members reminds me of him, so I’d prob ask him to dress up with me. I’m also trying to see if some of my other friends are going as well, so I can ask them to do the group with me! I know my friend Fen likes the video/song too, so hopefully she’ll do it if she goes.

Basically none of the outfits are from anime (ha). They’re mostly music or games – which..pretty much is me anyways. I fell out of the anime loop really. I’ll watch some, but i’m not as hard core as I was when i was a teen. People grow up I guess right?

Yeah, I get excited deciding on outfits/costumes. I’m such a nerd.

Anywho, I need to go to Rite Aid to pick up a colored board for my design project.

Chapter 5: Mother’s Milk

Friday’s child is loving and giving – Ino/Chouji

“It’s my fault, my fault, my fault,” Ino was weeping.

“Nobody’s at fault here,” Shizune said calmly, “It’s just a confluence of circumstances. The baby is large, his head has turned to the side and he’s simply not going to make it through. If he were face down, then maybe, but he’s still a big baby so even if he were presenting perfectly, you might not be able to deliver him. I’m sorry, Ino, I know you’ve worked hard but…”

“No!” she sobbed, “No, I can do this. I want to keep trying…I can do this.”

“Ino,” Chouji whispered to her, “Ino, you’ve been trying …” He held her hands tightly as she panted her way through another contraction.

The pain subsided and she turned a tear-streaked face to him. “I want to do it, Chouji. I can do it. I just need a little bit longer.”

“Ino, look at me,” Shizune ordered sternly. “You’re not the only one working hard here. The baby’s working, too. And he’s getting tired. I can let you keep trying a little bit longer but if his heart rate drops…”

She didn’t get to finish her statement as another contraction gripped Ino who sobbed her way through it, more in heartache than in pain. When this one subsided Shizune continued.

“Ino, if his heart rate drops, we’re going to have to take him by C-section. It’s better for him if we don’t let him get to that point. It’s better for you if you come to that decision yourself. You’re a good mother, Ino, you’ve taken good care of him for nine months already. I know you want to do the best thing for him.”

“Chouji? Chouji? What should I do?” she cried, turning to look at her husband.

What should she do? She was asking him what she should do? “Ino, I want you both to be okay. Listen to Shizune. Let her help you both.”

“I tried, Chouji. You know I did, don’t you? I really tried.”

He was stroking her hair now, leaning very close to her. “I know you did, Ino. Nobody ever tried harder than you did.”

Another contraction. After this one was over, Ino sagged back against Chouji, giving up. “Okay,” she whispered. “Okay. Just do it.”

Shizune stood up. “He’ll be fine, Ino,” she said softly. She stood looking at her fellow kunoichi and explained what was going to happen next. “I need for you to sit up. Chouji, come around to the front here, you’re going to hold Ino’s hands as she leans forward. I’m going to block her chakra points, blocking the pain from the waist down so that she’s numb. Then I’ll leave the two of you alone together for a bit while I get Tsunade and we get an operating room ready.”

“O-o-kay,” the two younger ninjas stammered in seeming unison. Ino struggled to sit up, leaning her forehead against Chouji’s chest as he held both her hands. Shizune worked carefully, her hands warm against the skin of Ino’s back as she searched out chakra points and nerve endings, blocking them. Ino felt herself go numb. As the pain subsided, her breathing eased.

“Feeling better, Ino?” Shizune asked.

“Yes,” Ino lied. The pain may have been gone but her heart still hurt. She had failed. She had failed miserably. She couldn’t even have her own baby. She leaned back and lay down in the bed again.

All the books said you were supposed to deliver the baby. The instructors in the classes said it over and over again, natural delivery was best for the baby, best for his lungs, best for the mother, best for bonding. She couldn’t even do what was best for her baby.

She. Had. Failed.

Shizune patted her on the back a little. “I’ll be back in a bit.”

And she was gone, leaving Chouji and Ino alone together.

“I’m sorry Chouji,” Ino whispered.

“Ino…” he started and then realized he had no idea what else to say to her.

They had been in here for hours. He looked at the clock, realizing that it had been well more than twenty-four hours actually. Shikamaru had always maintained that whatever women said about the number of hours they were in labor, you should just divide by two to have a rough estimate of the accurate amount of time. But he could honestly say they had been here for…God, thirty two hours now.

He thought he’d held up well through it all until this last part. He could handle the cries and Ino’s water breaking and her practically squeezing his hand off at the wrist and the blood – all that he’d been expecting. He had even grudgingly accepted that Shizune and Tsunade seemed to be treating Ino like a farm animal when it came to checking her progress. He understood the necessity of it all.

But this… this last part. Sheesh. The baby had come down and Ino had started pushing and things had gone well to a point then stopped. The baby’s head was turned, he was resting against her pelvic bone with his head tucked under in a position that simply wouldn’t let him get out. Chouji had been queasy when Shizune explained it, just thinking about Ino suffering for no progress and the baby being trapped like that made him sick, made him want to scream STOP, made him want to yell at Shizune to just do something, ANYTHING.

Shizune suggested that she might, possibly, be able to turn the baby’s head between contractions and Ino had agreed. Well, up until that point he had only thought he had heard Ino scream. He’d never considered how much the rhythm of contractions played into it, how much the laboring mother needed that respite, no matter how brief. For Ino to give that up while Shizune tried…that…not once, not twice but three times…

And Ino had kept trying and trying because she wanted to do what was best for the baby no matter how much it hurt her.

The fucking books did not tell you any of this shit.

Chouji knew that there was never a mother who loved her child more than Ino. Ino loved her son, his son, their son more than he could possibly imagine and she was telling him she was sorry?

He had no idea what to say to Ino. But he did know that if he ever heard his son talking about Ino the way Shikamaru talked about his mom he would beat the daylights out of the boy.

“You should go get something to eat,” Ino whispered.

“Ino, I’m not leaving you,” he argued.

“Go get something to eat, dummy,” she said, sounding somewhat like herself. “I don’t want you passing out in the operating room.” She hesitated then added, “You do think they’ll let you come in with me, don’t you?”

Chouji kissed the top of her head, “I’d like to see them try to stop me. And I am not leaving you now.”

“Please, Chouji? I just want to be by myself for just a minute. Look at me…” she waved her hands at her numb legs, “It’s not like I’m going anywhere, I promise I won’t run away.” She gave him a wistful little smile.

He gave her another quick kiss. “I promise I’ll be right back.” And he left, ashamed to admit it but he really was starving. He’d gotten familiar with the snack machine over the last thirty-two hours, so he sprinted there, grabbed some chips and headed back eating on the run.

For her part, Ino spent the few minutes whispering apology after apology to her baby. She was sorry that she was such a bad mother she was sorry that she couldn’t do this right, she wished she could have worked harder but she was just so tired. When Chouji came back she was sobbing quietly into her hands.

“Ino…Ino…stop…I can’t see you like this…”

She waved his concerns away, taking a deep breath and wiping her tears off her face. “It’s okay, I just had to get it out of my system,” she lied again, flashing him another weak smile.

Chouji couldn’t say anything else, two orderlies came in with a gurney to take Ino to the operating room. She slid her upper body over onto the gurney but was disgusted with herself that they had to shift her useless, dead-weight legs over for her. Ino stared blankly at the ceiling as they rolled her down the hall.

At the entrance to the operating room someone tucked a hideous cap around her hair. She smiled a little bit to see Chouji gowned up with what looked like a shower-cap on his head, too. Then they wheeled her in and the room was cold and the lights were bright. Someone was helping her slide over onto a table, she couldn’t bring herself to think of it as an operating table. And they stretched her arms out to either side, supports under them, smoothing her hands flat.

“W-w-w-hy are you doing that?” asked Ino, feeling as if she were being crucified.

A nurse said calmly, matter-of-factly, as if there was nothing to this since she wasn’t the one being carved up like a side of beef, “We need to be able to check your blood oxygen, your fingertips are a good indicator. We need to be able to see them.”

Ino shivered and the same nurse asked again, “Cold, dear?” Ino had to admit that her voice was sweet even if it was matter-of-fact. She simply nodded and someone put a very heavy blanket over her chest, covering her shoulders but leaving her arms bare.

“C-c-c-houji?” she asked.

“I’m right here, Ino,” he assured her as the nurse stepped aside. He instantly took the woman’s place and knelt down beside her.

Tsunade came in and smiled down at her, looking very odd as from Ino’s point of view she appeared upside down. “Ready, Ino? I’ll bet you’re excited.”

“Y-y-yes,” Ino said. Excited? How could you be excited about being a complete failure?

Tsunade clapped her on the shoulder and said, “Just a few more minutes.”

And there was a drape at her waist so she couldn’t see what was going on, and the clatter of metal implements on metal trays and a smell of some antibacterial wash that they were scrubbing her stomach with. There were a lot of people in the room with her. People were monitoring her heartbeat and the baby’s heartbeat and Shizune was there with Tsunade and somebody brushed Chouji’s hand away from hers because they needed to keep an eye on her all important fingernails for some reason so Chouji couldn’t even hold her hand but he could stay with one hand on her shoulder.

“Okay, Chouji, we’ve made the incision, you wanna watch?” Tsunade asked conversationally.

“Ino?” he whispered wondering if she really did want him to watch.

“Sure, Chouji,” she reassured him. Why not? It seemed like half of Konoha was in here watching her be gutted like a trout anyway. He might as well since neither one of them would actually see her baby born since she was such a total failure.

“I’ve got him!” Tsunade announced. And even though she couldn’t really feel anything, Ino could sense her body being jerked around, none too gently she assumed, as Tsunade pulled and tugged her son out. “He’s beautiful, Ino!” Tsunade announced proudly as she handed him to Shizune who immediately began checking the infant.

“I want to see him,” Ino said anxiously, worried that she could neither see nor hear her son. Shouldn’t he be crying or something?

“We’re just cleaning his airways,” Shizune said calmly.

Tsunade was busying herself with closing the incision. “Don’t worry Ino, when I’m through with you, you’ll still be hitting the beach in a bikini this summer.”

Oh, no! She hadn’t even thought about the scar. Chouji was never even going to want to look at her again.

A soft whimper, then a tiny little cry caught her attention. “Oh!” Ino exclaimed, hearing her son.

“Here he is,” Shizune said, proudly presenting him to Chouji, swaddled in a soft white little blanket.

“Oh, oh, oh, he’s beautiful,” Ino sighed sincerely. And she realized her son was REALLY beautiful. She smiled in secret satisfaction. She’d visited Tenten and Temari each on the days their daughters had been born. She had made the obligatory oohs and aahs over the girls proclaiming each one to be beautiful in her own right. Personally, however, she had thought they each looked like a cross between a red raisin and a drowned kitten.

But her son was plump and beautiful. Only his cheeks were red, a perfect little blush almost like the swirls on Chouji’s cheeks, the rest of him was a smooth, delicate pink. He wasn’t the least bit scrunched up or wrinkled. His little head was perfectly round, not at all squashed-looking like the girls had been.

“They look a little bit different when they come out this way, don’t they, Ino?” Tsunade chuckled.

“I’ll say,” Ino breathed in awe. Well, at least there was something positive out of this. She wondered how soon you could send pictures in to those baby magazine contests.

“Can I hold him?” she asked, trying to raise one arm, amazed at how weak she felt. Chouji leaned down, holding him ever so carefully close to her so she could stroke his cheek with one finger.

“Not yet, Ino. Let me finish closing you up and we’ll get you in a recovery room. When you wake up and are able to sit up we’ll bring him to you.”

Great. Further evidence of her complete inadequacy as a mother. She couldn’t even hold her baby. And they seemed to be implying that she would somehow choose sleep before she held him.

“Finished!” Tsunade announced proudly. “Call it Shizune.”

Shizune looked at the clock. “Fifteen…dammit…fifteen minutes from start to finish! How do you do that Tsunade?”

“Hah! Bet you can’t beat THAT!”

Shizune grinned. “You’re on!”

Ino found it very odd that the two of them seemed to be proud of what had happened here. Then again, they and their medical team had saved the day, she herself had merely screwed things up. To her further dismay they put her back on a gurney to take her to a recovery room, while they put her baby in a bassinet to take him to the nursery.

Her thoughts were swirling in her head as they transported her down the hall to a regular room. The cessation of pain and the freedom from the need for her body to do something for the moment, paired with her complete exhaustion caught up with her. Her head started to loll to the side. By the time she got to the room she was almost sound asleep. Faintly she was aware of someone lifting her gently to put her on the regular bed and she thought it was Chouji, or at least that’s whose name she said before she finally faded off to sleep.

Ino awoke to a dimly lit room filled with concerned faces. Chouji was by her bed holding her hand. She could see his dad at the foot of her bed along with both of Shikamaru’s parents, but she didn’t see her own father. “Chouji?” she asked, “Where’s otousan?”

“Right here, Hime,” her dad whispered and she turned her head to the other side to see him standing there.

“Where’s…where’s my baby?” Ino asked.

Yoshino smiled, “The nurse told us to let her know when you woke up, Ino-chan. I’ll tell her and she’ll bring your baby to you. I’ve seen him, he’s beautiful, a strong healthy boy. He’ll be right here.” She patted Ino’s leg before she left which felt odd because it was still kind of half-way numb. Ino tried wriggling her toes a little and felt the tingling sensation as the numbness wore off. She struggled to sit up in the bed, Chouji helping her.

Footsteps down the hall and her heartbeat quickened, they were bringing her baby! But the footsteps were heavy and rushed like someone running and it was Shikamaru who came barreling in through the door looking pale and anxious. “I just got back from a mission and Temari told me what happened. How’s Ino?”

“Hey, Shikamaru,” she said weakly. Terrific, all she needed was her jerk of a best friend telling her that if she hadn’t been so scrawny to begin with then she could have had her baby the right way, the best way. To her surprise, Shikamaru didn’t say anything else, just leaned forward and kissed her on the cheek.

Well that was weird, she didn’t think he’d ever kissed her, not even on her wedding day. He seemed awfully nervous, she hoped his mission hadn’t gone wrong. She’d have to ask him about it later.

Ino looked around the room, oddly aware that there were five men there with her, none of whom seemed to be hinting that she failed at anything. As a matter of fact, they all seemed rather proud of her. Weird.

She didn’t have long to ponder it, because the next sets of footsteps down the hall really were Yoshino-san returning with the nurse and her baby.

“Here he is,” the nurse, Kaori, said proudly, “Okaa-san, can you hold him now?”

“Oh, yes,” Ino breathed, eagerly holding out her arms to receive her son. Looking down she marveled that he looked just like Chouji, a tiny perfect replica of Chouji. But when he opened his eyes, they were the clear blue that matched her own. “Oh,” Ino sighed again.

“He was a little hungry in the nursery so we gave him just a tiny bit of formula. But he’s probably hungry again. Are you going to try to breastfeed him?” the young nurse asked.

“H-how long was I asleep?” Ino asked.

“About four hours, Ino,” Chouji answered her.

Her heart sank. Four hours? She’d slept through the first four hours of her son’s life? And they’d already given him a bottle of formula? They had to give him formula because she was asleep and couldn’t nurse him? Oh, no, not another failure. All the books said that if they started on a bottle it was hard to get them to breastfeed. And breastfeeding was best. That’s what all the books said.

Ino fought back tears, she wasn’t going to cry, not in front of all these people. “C-c-an I still try if he’s already had a bottle?” she asked, her voice quaking.

“Of course,” Kaori smiled warmly. “We always encourage it. I can help you now, if you like.”

“Y-y-yes, I’d like to,” Ino said timidly.

The nurse looked at Yoshino who took her cue and shoo-ed and shepherded all the men but Chouji out the door. As the door closed behind them, Kaori said, “Okay, Ino, ready for one more miracle?”

“Uh, yeah, sure,” she answered uncertainly. Miracle? What if she messed this up, too?

“Now, you’ve had a C-section, so you might want to hold him this way,” and she helped Ino position her baby. “Comfortable?”

Ino nodded, as she lowered the hospital gown, baring one breast. “How do I get him to…?”

Kaori chuckled. “Get him to open his mouth? Oh, he will, don’t worry. Touch his cheek and he turns right toward it. It’s called a rooting reflex. All babies are born with it.”

Hesitantly, Ino tried her suggestion, gently stroking against her son’s cheek and…he did exactly what the nurse said he’d do, instinctively turning toward the touch, mouth opening, seeking out her breast.

“Oh,” she exclaimed, not really having any other words as his tiny perfect little mouth closed around her and she held him soft and warm against her. He looked up at her.

“See that, Ino?” Kaori was excited. “His eyes can only focus about fifteen inches in front of him, the perfect distance between his face and yours when you hold him at your breast. That’s all he can focus on right now. You’re all he needs to see.”

“Chouji, look!” Ino breathed excitedly. She glanced up to see her husband looking down proudly at her.

Kaori continued, “Right now, what your body is producing is a special type of milk for newborns called colostrum. It can’t be duplicated Ino. It only lasts for a few days before the heavier, richer milk comes in. It’s full of nutrients, antibodies, direct from your body to his that he can’t get any other way. Even if you’re not going to continue to nurse him, if you could do it for the first ten days…”

“Who says I’m not going to keep on doing it?” Ino asked, amazed that the nurse would even suggest it.

“Well, it’s a decision that’s up to every mother and baby,” the nurse answered her then turned her attention back toward the boy. “See that? He’s latched on perfectly, that’s what we call it when he takes the nipple properly. Notice how his mouth is covering most of your areola? Sometimes babies can’t seem to get it right at first but you two are doing perfectly.”

He was slowing down now, his little eyes getting heavy. After a moment more he stopped suckling and let her breast slip from his mouth, falling back asleep against her.

Anxiously Ino asked, “Was that okay? Did he nurse long enough? Did he get enough?”

The young woman reached out to stroke his cheek. “Oh, Ino,” she sighed, “at this age, their tummies are so tiny, he probably only needs a tablespoon or two. But breastfed babies usually nurse on demand. And the more milk they need, the more they’ll nurse, and the more they nurse the more milk your body will make. It really is a miracle how it all works together.”

Kaori stood back up and smiled. “You’ll have to forgive me. I’m supposed to encourage, not influence. Sometimes I get a little carried away. So often people get caught up in the actual labor and delivery, almost as if it’s the be-all, end-all Chuunin exam of motherhood or something. It’s great to see a new mother nurse her baby, someone who knows that even though the cord is cut, he’s still connected to her and no other in a literal physical way through the milk that only she can make for him.”

Ino was positively beaming now. “I, um, guess you’ve nursed your own baby,” she asked. “How long did you breastfeed him?”

She laughed. “Oh, I nursed the first one until the second came along,” she said. “About two years. But each one is different. My second one lost interest and pretty much weaned himself after he started solid foods and drinking from a cup.” She laughed then continued. “Seriously, Ino, whatever you give him is a gift, something no one else can give, okaa-san, whether it’s today, a week, a month, or a year or more.”

Ino had already made up her mind. She was no longer going to worry about doing what the books said was best for her baby. She would do what was best for her baby.

Oh~Bien, como se imaginarán de verdad me gusta muuuuucho dibujar o.o y el otro día ví dibujos de dos personitas que me encantaron *-* primero ví los dibujos de Viitah-chan, dibujante de alkasia manga *3*, ella hizo varios dibujos de su proyecto “Gods of The Eggs” e hizo un precioso FanArt de “Una regola d’ amore”, un manga de Revolution Kiss que lo dibuja mi Neko-sempai (Sí, y ella es la mejor sempai que se puede tener x///3) de quien también ví unos dibujillos que amé con todo mi corazón y que me llevaron a escribir este post que espero sea de ayuda ^^ : “Como hacer un FanArt paso a paso”

El personaje elegido en esta ocasión es Ino-chan, de G.O.T.E., de Alkasia Manga

Comenzamos por hacer el boceto/sketch del personaje, aquí lo más importante es tener la idea clara de cómo quieres que el personaje esté posando. OJO: recuerden dibujar el esqueleto del personaje para evitar problemas de proporcionalidad y simetría, yo no lo hago porque soy enferma de floja xDU pero hay que hacerlo!

Luego, una vez listo, pasamos a remarcar el dibujo, yo utilizo estilografos/tiralineas/rapido graph para “entintar” el dibujo, por supuesto que utilizo varios, pero principalmente uso 0.3

Luego borramos con muuucho cuidado <.< y comenzamos el pintado! :3 ahí se ven los lapices que uso, son Faber-Castell,me gustan más que nada por su politica reforestadora xD pero en realidad cualquier marca está bien ^^. Pintamos la piel, como dato les digo que no se limiten a usar un solo color al pintar, no porque sea piel pintarán tooooodo color piel, alternen colores anaranjados suaves para las zonas en que la piel está más morena o sombreada, ya verán como les resulta! x3

Una vez lista la piel,comenzamos con el pintado del cabello,al igual que arriba recuerden utilizar distintos tonos, como Ino-chan es rubia,utilizaremos distintos amarillos y mostaza para dar color a su cabello, recuerden dejar el brillo blanco en la parte superior de la cabeza como está en el dibujo para dar más efecto al cabello.

Ya queda menos, pasamos a pintar la vestimenta del personaje, en este caso de Azul y Celeste, en el caso de la falda recuerden dejar un poco en las orillas blanco para dar la impresión de “luz” en el uniforme.

Sombreamos las areas blancas del uniforme para mostrar las arrugas que se forman en la ropa, y finalmente pintamos el huevito mágico de Ino-chan, utilizando celeste y amarillo para dar brillo mágico (wiii~)

Finalmente, lo que hago al dibujar es remarcar con un tiralineas más grueso ( 0.8) el contorno del personaje para darle más centralidad e importancia en la ilustración, y ta-daaa~! el Resultado!

Bien…mi estilo es un poco-MUY- diferente al de Viitah, pero intente hacer que se pareciera a su Ino-chan *3* que es muy moooona x///3, dedicado especialmente a su dibujante,viitah-chan que es muy dedicada en toooodo lo que hace ^^ de verdad, le veo un futuro brillante esperando por ella :3 ! y es muy linda persona xD

Y eso es todo, espero que les gustara o//o y quizá hasta les sirvió…eso sí que me haría feliz *-* pero veo bien dificil que eso ocurra xDU como sea, cualquier duda me dejan un comentario en este post y se los contesto.~

Por supuesto, los ingenieros del INO aseguran que molestarán lo mínimo necesario a estos animales.

¿Podría construirse INO en otro lugar de la India? No es fácil. Una prospección geológica del gobierno identificó Singara como el mejor lugar para INO teniendo en cuenta factores sísmicos, de seguridad y accesibilidad. Encontrar un lugar alternativo para un proyecto que ya lleva 3 años de retraso supondrá, como mínimo, retrasos adicionales.

White Horse

Ino steeled herself with a firm resolve. It was unfortunate but inevitable. The two of them would just never work out. Although their relationship had been intensely physical (intensely she thought breathlessly to herself, biting her bottom lip) it was nonetheless nothing but physical. There was no deep connection there, no spiritual bond, no promise of something eternal, everlasting, undying.

Yes, she was just going to have to break it off with Kiba. And the sooner the better, it would only be cruel to the poor boy to draw it out any longer than necessary. (But she was wondering if it would be too cruel to have just one more romp…nope never mind, she squelched that thought. Too cruel indeed, she admitted, more’s the pity.)

Ino sighed and reaffirmed to herself that it was true that sometimes you just had to be cruel to be kind. It would really be better this way.

Because she had found someone with whom she shared that deep-spiritual-eternal-everlasting bond. Sai, she sighed. She’d realized it as soon as he’d asked her if she’d model for him. He studied her so earnestly, seeking to portray every nuance, every curve, every expression of her perfectly. One day as he had posed her, positioning her hands ‘just so’ for his portrait, his own hands had strayed and they had wound up embracing each other and tumbling into bed together.

Sai was a tender lover, a gentle lover, a patient lover. Unlike the sweaty-breathless-I-can’t-wait-to-get-you-all-the-way-naked-so-I-won’t-bother sex she had with Kiba. That was sweaty. And breathless. Really, really breathless. Ino chewed her bottom lip again, wondering if maybe she really should give the poor boy one more chance to leave her breathless, err… one more chance to love her. And leave her breathless.

She thought again of her new love, her soul mate. Sai was such a gentle lover she could easily fall asleep in his arms, sometimes even drifting off in the middle of his tender lovemaking. (Tender was better than sweaty wasn’t it?)

But Sai made art of her, for her, with her. He made beautiful, enduring portraits that would last just as surely as their love would last (and certainly a lot longer than his relationship with Sakura had lasted – he’d already painted more pictures of her than he ever had painted of Forehead!) His art was as enduring as it was beautiful just as their love was as eternal as she was beautiful. Yes. She was meant to be with Sai. She’d just have to make Kiba understand.

Earlier she had tried explaining the whole thing to her teammates but Shikamaru fell asleep and Chouji looked…hurt…for some reason. Stupid boys. They should just make all-kunoichi teams then she’d have some teammates who understood her, who would listen to her and confirm that she was indeed making the best decision.

She inhaled sharply. There Kiba stood, across the street in front of her. It was now or never.

He flashed that crooked little smile at her that revealed the sharp tips of his teeth that felt so good when he nipped just right… Her knees went a little weak as she remembered his husky voice teasing her, promising to make her howl at the moon all night long. A promise he had most definitely kept.

‘Now or never’ she chided herself as she crossed the street to speak with him.

“Hey, Ino,” he said reaching to take her hand.

“Kiba, we need to talk,” she interrupted, determined not to let him get a kiss in because she knew it would be kinder this way and she was afraid of her wobbly knees from a moment ago.

“Okay, shoot,” he replied, waiting for her to say whatever was on her mind.

She could hardly bring herself to look at him, so trusting, so loyal, so devoted to her. It was cruel but it had to be done.

“Kiba we…we can’t go on…now don’t stop me let me finish…it’s really better this way… I know you must feel it too just like I do I mean the sex is great and all and you’re really a great guy and I’ve really enjoyed our time together but sometimes it’s time to move on and you know unfortunately sometimes one person just realizes that before the other person does and that hurts the other person but they’ll get over it because there’s something more waiting for them because there just has to be and I know you know what I’m talking about and oh I’m so sorry to have to do this but well you know that’s just he way that it is no maybe you don’t know so it’s like you know there’s a princess in the castle and she’s waiting to be rescued and the prince comes along and it’s not just any old prince but it’s got to be THE prince the right one the one just for her and it’s usually the one on the white horse like in the movies you do see what I’m saying don’t you?”

Bewildered, Kiba just looked at her with his head cocked to one side and said, “Umm…yeah…I think so?”

At this Ino nearly cried because it was just too sad and too poignant and too heartbreaking. The poor boy was so devastated that he couldn’t even begin to comprehend what she meant. It was denial, she knew it, he was refusing to accept the inevitable. She’d just have to try harder to explain it to him.

“It’s the prince on the white horse, Kiba, it has to be don’t you see? It can’t just be the prince on the brown horse or the black horse or the tan horse but only the white horse. Because that’s the prince that’s meant to be, not that the others are any less princes because they are just like you are a really great guy honest I mean that but just you know not with the white horse like the fairy tale and then The End but this isn’t The End because this is over well of course that means ‘this’ is at an end as in us but not ‘The End’ as in the end of the story where the prince rides off with the princess on the white horse, don’t you see? And there was a time when I would have thought that Sasuke was the one with the white horse but he’s not you know obviously he’s like the dark wizard in the tower now but of course that’s beside the point but still not because he’s not riding in on a white horse either. “

“Ino? Do you want to break up? Is that what this is about?”

There it was again, that look of confusion in his eyes as if he couldn’t bring himself to acknowledge the truth of the matter. Ino nearly sobbed out loud to think how much his heart must be breaking over what he was hearing. And the poor boy was masking his pain with feigned confusion and bewilderment.

“Yes,” she did sob this time as she said it, “Yes, Kiba, I do.”

“Well, okay, then Ino. If that’s what you want.”

“Really,” she looked up at him through tear stained lashes. She’d cried just enough so that her eyes were sparkling wet with tears but not so much to let her face get blotchy. “Really, you mean, you…understand?”

“Look, Ino, it was fun while it lasted. You’re a great girl. But you know, if you want to move on I understand. If it doesn’t work out, give me a call, okay?”

“Oh, Kiba,” she threw herself into his arms and for a moment she’d forgotten how strong they were, how broad his shoulders and chest were, how good he smelled, how he held her so tight…

Kiba was patting her on the back now as she reluctantly disentangled herself from him. “Okay, well, see ya around, Ino.” He waved as he turned to walk up the street.

Ino watched him walk off into the sunset, so tall and strong, bearing his grief so stoically that anyone who didn’t know the truth of the situation might not be able to see just how devastated he really was.

Ino went back home and cried for the rest of the evening going through one whole box of chocolates and one box of tissues as she tried to process just how much grief she had caused Kiba.

Meanwhile, Kiba went out to dinner with Shino and Hinata.

A couple of weeks later, Kiba happened to draw a mission assignment out of town with Shikamaru. While they were traveling, Kiba asked, “Hey, Shikamaru, you’ve known Ino a long time. Did she like, ever have a white pony or something?”

“Not to my knowledge. Why?”

“Ehh,” Kiba shrugged. “Just wondering.”

A/N: Just a silly little snip on my part that’s basically the old “white horse joke” about how men and women handle break ups differently. I thought it suited these two. Let me know what you thought.

Estamos criando periquitos australianos há muitos anos e não da mais para acasalar dois verdes e ficar com filhotes homozigotos, pois sendo os verdes dominantes sobre os azuis é bom que portem a possibilidade de terem filhos azuis. Saber por exemplo que os lutinos, (amarelos de olhos vermelhos) ou qualquer outro tipo de amarelos, pertence à linha verde e sempre vão funcionar como um verde. Desta mesma forma devemos acasalar com azuis ou com albinos para que os filhotes sejam portadores de azul e possam nos dar mais opções nos cruzamentos futuros fazendo que todo nosso plantel seja heterozigoto. Dar preferência a cruzar sempre um claro com um escuro, a não ser que desejamos algum filhote muito escuro tipo um azul malva ou m verde oliva. Digo isto porque sempre que colocamos mais um fator escuro em um periquito diminuiu um pouco o seu porte (tamanho). É por isso que os maiores são os azuis e verdes claros e também os cinzas claros. Acasalar dois opalinos, dois asas canelas, é pouco indicado a não ser em casos expecíficos onde temos um objetivo, mas nunca de maneira geral. Evitar colocar muita variação de mutações num mesmo periquito, por exemplo: ter um macho opalino asa canela face amarela cobalto e acasalar com uma fêmea opalina verde oliva com fator violeta. É muita coisa num periquito só, os filhotes serão em tamanho abaixo da média e não ficarão bonitos. É importante ler a respeito de cada mutação e saber como vai funcionar para os filhotes.

Falso ou não, fora de contexto ou não, o primeiro spoiler confirmado do capítulo 459 me fez pensar sobre uma coisa. Não estou falando de nada na reunião dos Kages.e muito menos se Sasuke vai dar uma de doido e começar a atacar por lá mesmo ou se quem vai fazer isso é o Naruto. Nesse capítulo vemos a primeira reação fora do time Kakashi e Kumo sobre a entrada de Sasuke na Akatsuki.

Ino, pelo que parece, chorou por causa disso. Devo ressaltar aqui que, se minha memória não falahar, essa é a primeira oportunidade de Ino mostrar seus sentimentos em reação ao destino de Sasuke desde que ele foi embora. Mas por que diabos ela tá dando uma de Sakura e resolveu também ligar as torneirinhas dos olhos? A razão é simples, porque Sasuke está na Akatsuki, dãã! Talvez alguns tenham um raciocínio bem distorcido do que todos em Konoha estão pensando, mas veja:

- primeiro Sasuke foge da vila para se aliar ao homem (?) que a pouco tempo tentou detruí-la

- depois seu amigo vai tentar trazer ele de volta, mas volta a beira da morte

- então, depois de muito tempo esse mesmo amigo tenta resgatar de novo, mas recebe outro não na cara

- do nada a vila recebe a notícia de que Sasuke traiu e matou Orochimaru, mas não volta à vila e ainda forma uma equipe

- Sasuke mata Itachi mas não volta para a vila

- Sasuke mara o irmão do Raikage e entra para a Akatsuki

Se você não souber dos seus objetivos, e talvez mesmo sabendo, na certa não vai confiar muito nesse cara. E os jovens de Konoha não sabe nada, absolutamente nada mesmo, sobre o que motiva Sasuke. Para piorar, foi justamente a Akatsuki a associação na qual o objetivo maior envolve a captura de bijuus. E imagine só em quem um certo bijuu fortinho está selado? No seu melhor amigo, Naruto, que Konoha ama!

Não é preciso ser um gênio para entender que apoiar Sasuke é prejudiar naruto, pior anda, apoiar a morte de Naruto. Com esse histórico de grandes traíções, ele não é exatamente um exemplo de pessoa que se pode confiar.

Então, é Naruto vivo e Sasuke morto ou Sasuke vivo e Naruto morto?

No meio dessa história, Sakura chora. Ignorando as teorias de “ela-ainda-ama-ou-não-ama-mais-ele”, ela tem um grande laço com ele assim como tem com um com Naruto. Decidir que parte dessa fita você vai cortar causa uma puta pressão psicológica (as palvras de uma futura psicóloga!)… Tudo o que eu disse sobre Sakura se aplica a Ino. É difícil!

Como já deu para ver, Sai quer que Sasuke tropece em uma latinha, bata a cabeça no meio fio e morra de uma vez! Não somente pelo fato dele ser o substituo dele no time, mas Sasuke machuca muito, mas muito mesmo, Naruto.

Considerando que Às vezes Kakashi parece um Naruto crescido (assim continua correndo atrás de Sasuke) e Yamato só está com eles porque quer ficar junto com o Kakashi-sempai, o resto… bem, o resto…

Sasuke não parece ter nenhum laço com o restante de Konoha, só os apresentados acima mesmo… o que o Sasuke é do Chouji? O que o Sasuke é do Kiba? O que o Sasuke é da Hinata? O que o Sasuke é do Lee? O que o sasuke é do Shinakmaru? A resposta é: conhecido. Como bem disse Shikamaru certa vez, eles só estavam correndo atrás de Sasuke porque ele também é um habitante de Konoha, mas e agora que ele se torou definitivamente uma ameaça para Konoha? Talvez alguns deles tenham perseguido Sasuke com a esperança de trazer ele de volta para naruto, mas e agora que ele se tornou uma ameaça para a vida do amigo?

Quero ver agora qual deles vai colocar a mão no fogo por Sasuke!

Por esses e outros motivos devemos fazer muitos amigos nessa vida!

Inovio Biomedical Corporation (NYSE Amex: INO) has been higher by over 160% for most of the morning.  Investors are following the news reports this morning that its SynCon™ H1N1 influenza DNA vaccines achieved protection against current circulating swine origin influenza A/H1N1 viruses in animal studies. Inovio Biomedical is engaged in the design, development, and delivery of a new generation of DNA vaccines, focused on cancers and infectious diseases.

INO previously reported some interim data from an ongoing study in a pig model where the SynCon™ based H1N1 vaccines achieved hemagglutination inhibition (HI) titers above the protection threshold in 100% of the vaccinated animals against the swine influenza virus.

Inovio investigators continued that study and tested the immune sera for responses against a virus isolated from the current circulating strain of swine origin influenza A/H1N1.  All the animals immunized with the SynCon™ H1N1 vaccine developed HI titers exceeding the 1:40 level commonly associated with protective immunity.

In a second study, the investigators immunized mice with the NP and m2E components of the vaccine and challenged these animals with a second related strain also isolated from the current circulating influenza A/H1N1. While all mice showed effects of virus challenge as judged by significant weight loss, the vaccinated mice showed a recovery from virus infection-induced morbidity significantly faster compared to the non-immunized control animals in the study.

In a previous study, the vaccine provided 100% protection in a lethal challenge study against an unmatched H1N1 virus that caused the 1918 Spanish flu, which killed over 40 million people worldwide.

The company hopes to create vaccines capable of protecting against emerging pandemic influenza viruses, and noted that the SynCon™ influenza vaccines were developed prior to the emergence of the current swine flu strains. Inovio has created SynCon™ DNA vaccines based on influenza HA, NA, and NP proteins from strains H1N1, H2N2, H3N2, and H5N1, which make up the majority of seasonal and pandemic influenza.

The company noted that the resulting vaccines could target seasonal as well as pandemic-potential influenza strains such as avian influenza and swine-origin flu.

Inovio shares are indicated up almost 200% around $2.00 right at the 9:30 opening bell.  Its prior 52-week trading range was only $0.15 to $1.11.  Back around the year 2000, this was significantly higher around $30.00 for a short period of time.

Mais pour connaître la teneur en lycopènes des tomates, ces molécules antioxydantes qui réduiraient les cancers de la prostate, il fallait jusqu’à présent réduire les fruits en purée. Pas très pratique pour les vendre ensuite…

Toute la lumière sur les lycopènes

Une équipe de l’Institut des nutraceutiques et des aliments fonctionnels s’est alliée à l’Institut national d’optique (INO) pour faire parler les tomates grâce à la spectroscopie. Une technique non invasive qui permettrait de connaître efficacement leur teneur en lycopènes.

«La spectroscopie nous permettra de connaître les composés des tomates, notamment les lycopènes, sans dégrader les fruits», explique Réjean Bacon, adjoint de recherche à l’Institut.

Ce procédé consiste à projeter de la lumière sur une tomate. Les ondes lumineuses sont absorbées par le pigment des lycopènes ne laissant passer que le rouge. En mesurant la lumière émise par la tomate, les chercheurs quantifient ainsi sa teneur en lycopènes.

«La spectroscopie s’avère très fiable pour mesurer la quantité de lycopènes de la tomate, de manière presque parfaite», résume Martine Dorais, chercheuse à Agriculture et Agroalimentaire Canada, l’une des auteurs de cette étude publiée dans une récente édition du Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.

Elle ne permet pas, par contre, d’évaluer le fruit pour d’autres critères influençant le choix du consommateur (fermeté, aspect, etc.). Une tomate trop molle, même riche en lycopènes, risque de rester sur le comptoir…
