Booking movie tickets online is the easiest way to book tickets, but not all multiplexes have a smooth gateway for online transcations. Inox Movies, which earlier wanted a login to book tickets, has done away with login. You can book tickets without logging in.

I tried to book tickets for Rocket Singh on Friday evening, but the payment gateway had some problems. After selecting seats and taking my credit card information, the gateway would get into ‘processsing’ for few seconds before returning with ‘Booking Cancelled’ page. After 3 futile attempts, I gave up.

Rs.945/-  (Rs.300/- per ticket plus Rs.15/- for booking charges) was charged on each attempt, but my tickets were not booked.Total of Rs. 2835/- has been charged and i did not get tickets!

Usually charges on such futile transactions are reimbursed or credited back to the credit card. I was sure it would happen this time too, but to my shock it hasn’t.

I received my credit card statement with charges for 3 Inox transcations. I am furious with the payment gateway of Inox movies. There is no contact information for online transcations. I have mailed  contact@inox.co.in and waiting for a reply.

You can see the booking transaction at Fame cinemas, where i booked the tickets after futile attempts with Inox. Fame cinemas too has a horrid payment gateway, but Inox has the worst of these multiplexes.

There has been no credit of the Inox transction in unbilled transctions either. The worst thing is there is no login information, and no reference number for these transactions.

All the movie buffs, take this as a warning to booking tickets online at Inox Movies. Please tweet/circulate this message amongst your friends.

P.S.: If anyone has faced similar situation, please let me know of any Inox contact information for online booking screw-ups.

Weekend gone by was rainy at Indore. We stayed indoors and while I watched 6 movies and tried a hand on Farm Ville at Face Book, Priyanka was studying. She is done with 4 of her exam papers and only 2 more to go plus some viva and one internal. I still do not understand how the brilliant professors at DAVV schedule the exams.

1. The Proposal – ***/5 – Always liked Sandra Bullock and Rayne Reynolds looked perfect for his role!

2. Dance Flick – */5 – Do not know why I still watch these idiotic movies, just waste of time.

3. Monsters Vs Aliens – **/5 nothing too exciting, no novelty.

4. 17 Again – ***/5 – Could have been better, but an Okay watch.

5. Imagine That! – ***/5 – Good acting, good concept. Eddie Murphy needs to get out of his all father roles and do something new.

And the best of the lot!

6. The Hangover – *****/5 – BOY! Mad! Crazy! Funny! Though the beginning reminded me of another movie which stared Cameroon Diaz as the bride-zilla but, in it all goes fun there after!

As it was not enough, movie buff like me got into theater last night with usual suspects my boss – Mr. Apurva Shah and my room-mate, Anukul. The movie was a kind of edge-of-the-seat end-of-the-world don’t-blink-or-you-will-crash-on-Mount Everest.

Yes, you guessed it right, 2012!

It was a movie made for theaters. No doubt it was a house full affair for a Monday late night all English show in Vadodara Inox.

Work is going just fine and in command at the moment.

Hey! Ssssup! Iam quite excited as am going for the latest movie Aladdin today! Yes, Aladdin of the magic lamp fame. I wonder if any of you girlies found the Aladdin guy in the cartoon cute. Wasnt he cute or am I crazy? Well, whatever. This movie is hindi and it starrs Riteish Deshmukh (love his comic timing) and also the Big Boss – Amitabh Bachchan along with newbie – Jacqueline. I love fantasy movies so am there at 11:00pm at Inox (Nariman Point) like a little child waiting for a magical world to unveil.

Ok back to the stuff that I luuuurv to talk about! Clothes and more of that. Latin Quarters, a store in Mumbai and other cities has its fall collection on the racks and they’d like you to come. Now, I haven’t honestly ever bought from this store, but, I’d say, give it a try. Its got the usual girlie stuff. And especially in their fall winter collection they have some nice clothes, tees, skirts, trousers in black you know to get you all dressed up real neat for the party season. So give it a shot! You never know, you might just end up looking like a lovely latino lass! Ahan!

P.S. Am so tempted to go back to being a little girl and spend a girly hour reading fairy tales. Awwwwww. Should I get myself a copy of Aladdin and a magic lamp? (Gosh I gotta grow up!)

What is BCC address
When the sender of the e-mail message decides to hide recipients from being aware of each other he can use BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) address field while editing the message.

The e-mail addresses put in BCC field are not stored inside message header set like regular “To:” or “CC:” fields.

This can cause the situation that POP3 mailbox will contain message without any recipient addresses specified. It means that the recipient was on BCC list.

Static addressing is not affected
There is no issue with static addressing offered by Narawen Inox POP3 Connector. It just grabs all the contents of mailbox and sends to target address regardless if the messages have any addressing information or not.

How to fix dynamic addressing for BCC addresses
For dynamic addressing Narawen Inox POP3 Connector must have valid recipient address available in order to route the mail properly.
Starting from version 5.2 SR2 this is supported by handling “x-rcpt-to” header added by some mail servers with hint what was the recipient e-mail address.

We recommend the upgrade to latest release to avoid problems with dynamic addressing caused by BCC field.

A gente fica tão preocupado com os alimentos em si – se tem gordura, fibra, se é orgânico ou não –  que se esquece completamente que o modo de preparo também interfere na qualidade da refeição. Aliás, dependendo de qual usar, podem acontecer até mesmo alguns  prejuízos a sua saúde, dos quais muitas vezes não somos informados.

O pior é quando pessoas como eu crescem num lar onde os pais são vendedores de utensílios em alumínio, considerado um dos piores itens para se ter dentro da cozinha…Mas tudo isso é fruto da nossa desinformação. Veja abaixo uma lista que extrai do Blog Cozinha Natureba sobre as contra-indicações de uso referente a panelas, de acordo com a sua composição:

ALUMÍNIO – Indivíduos com problemas renais e portadores de anemia ferropriva; evitar o uso de palha de aço na limpeza e a remoção de manchas escuras na parte interna, que libera mais alumínio no cozimento;

FERRO – Pessoas com estado oxidativo alterado, por ser o ferro um elemento pró-oxidante; após lavá-la, secar na chama do fogão para evitar a ferrugem. Se guardá-la por longos períodos, untar com óleo vegetal;

FERRO ESMALTADO - Condicionada à garantia de atoxicidade do fabricante, sobre o tipo de revestimento utilizado; também é contra-indicada para frituras, uma vez que tal qual as panelas de ferro comuns, faz com que o óleo atinja uma temperatura muito alta, impedindo seu reaproveitamento posterior;

VIDRO – Aqui as contra-indicações restringem-se à conservação da panela, que é frágil, podendo lascar e quebrar e como favorece a aderência dos alimentos, pode queimá-los em função de sua condução térmica (alimentos mais aquosos são os que oferecem menos riscos de queimar);

INOX – Quando a panela é nova, é necessário ferver água por 4 vezes sequenciais e desprezar o líquido; este procedimento reduz a transferência de níquel para os alimentos. Na hora da limpeza, evite esfregar muito a parte interna; caso isso seja necessário, a fervura sequencial de água citada acima tem que ser refeita;

PEDRA SABÃO – Precisa ser curada com óleo e calor antes do primeiro uso, caso contrário, transmite níquel aos alimentos; pessoas sensíveis a esse elemento não devem usá-la;

TEFLON – Preparo de alimentos protéicos nesse utensílio (carne, ovos, leite, tofu, soja, quinoa etc) podem formar compostos tóxicos à saúde humana (alimento protéico + calor + antiaderente);

COBRE – Desde 2007, as panelas de cobre têm seu uso vedado pela Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa), em função de terem potencial para transmitir quantidades tóxicas do elemento aos alimentos.

Obs: Algumas das indicações acima citam a questão da fritura. Num próximo post trarei a reação química que acontece neste processo, o que pode fazer muita gente substituir suas batatinhas e pastelzinhos pela versão assada.

Being and IT professional, one thing that comes default is SUCKING!!

Team members get sucked by managers or vice versa, but in each project you’ll find atleast one guy who is being SUCKED !! When do you feel its sucking?

• Money Matters : When your bread and butter for IT I would be say your movies and shopping is not what you thought of. If you are unable to view film at PVR/INOX or buy LCD because of budget constraint, fasten your seat belt. Your project/company is sucking you.
• View : If early morning you get up and you feel like wearing just anything and if it becomes a routine , you need to think again. If you neighbourhood(I mean your desk/cubicle) dosent has a single beauty/handsome looking hunk its useless to go and work for such a project/company. Man you should switch!!!
• Eating Habits : If your canteen/food court/cafetaria dosent offer a wide range of eatables, trust me you are working at wrong place. Do you remember, empty stomach even you cant sit and say SAI NAAM…then how the hell could you even think of working man.
• Managers : Yes, those are someone “reduntant for IT” but still they exist I wonder HOW?? But if your manager is working and working and not delegating… boss you are caught at wrong place. Login into naukri.com and monsterindia.com and search two jobs one for you and another for your manager
• No Parties : Yes, parties are our BIRTHRIGHT. For every small sucess you have the full right to get TREATED by you managers. If no party he is sucking you !!

O inox é uma liga de ferro e cromio que pode conter níquel, molibdénio e outros elementos. Apresenta propriedades físico-químicas superiores aos aços comuns e tem alta resistência à oxidação atmosférica. Esses elementos em liga possuem uma ótima resistência a corrosão e são ideais para os utensílios domésticos, além do que, o inox dá um ar moderno para os objetos de casa.

Vale a pena conservar bem as peças que são compostas por este material, afinal, não há material que resista aos “maus cuidados de manutenção”, seja por usar um determinado produto muito abrasivo, esponjas ásperas, ou até mesmo a conservação inadequada. É preciso saber os cuidados básicos para conservar este material, seu brilho e aumentar sua durabilidade.

No post anterior dei algumas dicas para manter as peças de inox bonitas e conservadas por mais tempo. Hoje darei alguns toques de limpeza e conservação para que seu fogão, panelas, talheres durem muito mais, brilhando e sem riscos. Veja as dicas!

Sujidade Moderada/Manchas Leves
No caso de sujidade moderada e quando a limpeza de rotina não for suficiente, aplique uma mistura feita com bicarbonato de sódio, dissolvido em álcool de uso doméstico, até formar uma pasta, depois com um pano macio esfregue na superfície do aço inox.

Se preferir, use também uma escova de cerdas macias e com passadas longas e uniformes sempre no sentido do acabamento polido se caso houver. Evite esfregar com movimentos circulares. Depois é só enxaguar com bastante água, preferencialmente morna, e secar com um pano macio.

Sujidade Intensa/Manchas Acentuadas
Faça uma pré-imersão em detergente morno ou quente, ou uma solução de um removedor à base de amônia (removedores caseiros) e água. Se isso não for suficiente para amolecer alimentos queimados ou depósitos carbonizados, recorra a produtos mais agressivos, como removedores à base de soda cáustica utilizados na limpeza doméstica.

Siga o procedimento indicado em cima para remover a sujidade moderada, repita se necessário, e só se a sujidade persistir utilize um método mais severo, com o emprego de produtos abrasivos, como os sapólios. Por fim, enxágüe e siga as etapas da limpeza de rotina.

Limpe a sujidade grossa com um pano macio ou uma toalha de papel. Em seguida, mergulhe a peça numa solução morna de detergente ou amônia. Depois siga os procedimentos da limpeza de rotina.

Marcas de Dedos
Remova-as com um pano macio ou toalha de papel umedecidos em álcool isopropílico (encontrado em farmácias) ou solvente orgânico (éter, benzina). Reduza as chances de uma nova ocorrência aplicando depois um polidor doméstico à base de cera ou vaselina líquida sobre a superfície limpa e seca.

Rótulos ou Etiquetas
Cuidado: nunca raspe a superfície do aço com lâminas, espátulas ou abrasivos grossos.

Manchas de Ferrugem
Tais manchas, com uma auréola no seu contorno, indicam que algum fragmento de aço comum ficou agarrado à superfície do aço inox. Com um cotonete embebido em água e ácido nítrico a 10%, faça aplicações tópicas, mantendo o local umedecido durante 20 a 30 minutos, repetindo a operação se necessário.
