Trotz der guten Ergebnisse muss man sich jedoch über eines im Klaren sein: Eine gute Multimediaperformance heißt noch lange nicht unbeschränkt spielefähig, was auch für das Dell XPS M1330 zutrifft. Hinsichtlich Mobilität sollte man auf jedem Fall mindestens zur 56Wh 6 Zellen Version greifen, mit der auch die folgenden Laufzeitmessungen durchgeführt wurden.

Die 4 Zellen Version kommt eher für Gewichtsfetischisten in Frage, compaq presario v3000 akku denen es um jedes Gramm Gewichtsersparnis geht. Das Touchpad weist die bei praktisch allen Dell Geräten auffallenden dell akku positiven Eigenschaften auf. Dazu gehört eine angenehm zu bedienende Oberfläche, optisch gekennzeichnete Scrollbereiche und die beiden weich zu druckenden Touchpadtasten.

Die Zusatztastenleiste rechts oberhalb der Tastatur wurde mit blauen LEDs sehr schön in Szene gesetzt. Beim Einschalten des Notebooks leuchten die einzelnen Tasten nacheinander auf und zeigen den “KITT” Effekt, dessen rotes Lauflicht in die TV Geschichte einging.

Кой казва, че лаптопите с голям дисплей са скъпи? Dell Inspiron 1750 отхвърля това твърдение като предлага ниска цена от 1299лв. Сега нека да разгледаме какво може да предложи Dell Inspiron 1750.

Корпус

Модата на 16:9 форматните екрани продължава, затова не е изненада, че последният модел Inspiron 17-серията също е преминал към този формат и вече предлага 17.3″ дисплей. Това есествено веднага дава отражение и на формата на корпуса, а именно по издължена и по-тясна.

Dell Inspiron 1750 има 3 USB порта, VGA за външен монитор и LAN (RJ-45) порт за мрежови кабел. Отдясната страна точно преди оптичното устройсто се намира и ExpressCard слота за директен достъп до дънната платка. Слабото място тук е че клабиатурата се огъва доста при натиск, което дори води до неприятен шум при удар по клавишите от цифровия блок.

Очевидна е липсата на полезни/безполезни мултимедийни бутони, но за сметка на това налице са всички допълнителни функции (Wireless LAN, яркост, сила на звука и т.н.) чрез F-клавишна комбинация.

Тъчпада е голям и добре интегриран в цялостния дизайн на лаптопа, има заоблени ъгли и подходяща повърхност за лесно плъзгане на пръстите. И при бутоните и при тъчпада не се забелязват проблеми в реагирането.

Дисплей

Има 2 вида дисплеи за Dell Inspiron 1750 - HD с резолюция 1600×900 пиксела и FullHD с 1920х1080 точки. Засега обаче в България се предлага само модела с по ниската резолюция, която обаче е напълно достатъчна за мултимедиен лаптоп. FullHD резолюцията е по-скоро за професионалисти, нуждаещи се от много работна площ.

Батерия

Батерията на нашия Dell е 6-клетъчна Li-Ion 48Wh. Според производителя в бъдеще ще се появят и модели с 9-клетъчна батерия, но засега такива няма. При теста за максимален живот на лаптопа, батерията издъжа 3ч и 30мин (с минимална яркост на дисплея, включен профил за пестене на енергия и изключен Wireless модул). На максимално натоварване Dell Inspiron 1750 се задържа 1ч и 20 мин (Максимално осветен дисплей, настройки на “High Performance” и включен Wi-Fi)

Рядко обаче ще попаденте точно в такива условия, затова ще ви дадем и малко информация за продължителността на работа без захранване при симулация на нормална работа.

Ако използвате интернет (включен Wireless), максимално осветление на дисплея, което ще Ви нужно особено ако сте навън в слънчев ден и средни настройки на процесора и видео картата, лаптопа издържа около 3 часа.

В случай, че гледате филм от DVD диск със същите настройки, Dell-ът издържа малко по-малко, а именно 2ч и 30мин, които са достатъчни, за да изгледате докрай филма си.

Гаранция

Трябва да отбележим, че мобилният компютър превъзхожда повечето си конкуренти по традиционно добрата гаранция на Dell, а именнно 3 годишен срок, бърза и адекватна реакция при проблем.

Производителност

Както споменахме в началото, Dell Inspiron 1750 е нискобюджетен лаптоп за офис работа или мултимедия в домашни условия. Процесорът Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 е с две ядра и работна честота 2.1GHz и няма да се затрудни с мултитаскинг (работа с много приложения едновременно) или графичен редактор като Photoshop или CAD програми, като за това подпомага и отделната видео карта ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4330 с 512 MB собствена памет. Графичният адаптер не е от най-мощните, но все пак е доста по бърз и производителен от аналог със споделена памет (вградено видео).

Online web searching has become an integral part of everyone’s lives, and it has become a key way to advertise companies and products. Pricewaterhousecoopers estimated that online searching made up 47% of online advertising in Western Europe in 2008. With over 4 billion search page views in May 2009 in the UK alone, it is obvious that Google firmly holds the main market share of all internet search engines.

Using Google, accessing my companies website is very easy. When I type in Dell to Googles main search bar, it automatically detects that my IP address is in the UK, therefore gives me Google UK, and also gives me Dell’s UK website as the first result. The second result is Dell UK’s laptop section of their website, and the third result is Dell’s main .com website.

I use Mozilla Firefox with the Adblock Plus add on, therefore I do not get any of the paid for advertisements on any websites including Google. This means that Google are loosing out on lots of potential advert clicks as Adblock Plus is one of Firefox’s most popular and most downloaded add ons. When I perform the same search on an unmodified version of Apple’s Safari, I get more ‘Sponsored Results’.

If I take 2 of Dell’s most popular brands, the Inspiron and the XPS, and type them into Google (on Safari), again I get many results linking to Dell directly, but I get more sponsored links to sites which claim to offer discounts on the computers.

Below is a list of what I typed into Google, and what number Dell UK appeared on the list, as well as the number of sponsored links on the right hand side, and what link appeared in the main yellow sponsored link(s).

The Irish may be a few hours ahead of us Yanks, but that’s not stopping us from snooping on their web pages. Dell’s long-awaited Inspiron Zino HD has finally popped official over on the outfit’s IE portal, and considering that it even made a brief appearance on the US site over the weekend, we’re guessing it’s only a matter of hours, minutes and / or nanoseconds before the minuscule desktop shows up everywhere. A total of ten interchangeable colors and designs are being offered on the machine (which gets going at €329), not to mention an integrated HDMI socket and an optional Blu-ray drive. Unlike most of the mini PCs out there today, this one actually has a specs list worth drooling over, and if we can figure out how to get a TV tuner in here, we’d say we just might be looking at our next bedroom HTPC. C’mon US admins — it’s not that early in Round Rock.

Причината поради която решихме да направим този тест, е много проста – направи ни изключително добро впечатление цената на модела и добрите характеристики.  Моделите на Dell обикновено са известни най-вече с това, че са по-скъпи от останалите, макар и не винаги по-добри. затова когато при нас пристигнаха първите бройки от

Dell Inspiron 1545 T6500 15.6″ 4330, бяхме много приятно изненадани най-вече от цената 1199лв. Това за лаптоп na DELL с външна видеокарта и мощен двуядрен процесор на Intel е изключително изгодно предложение. С настоящият тест идеята е да видим дали наистина това е така.

Ще го сравним с Acer 5738G-664G50Mn, който е с подобна(малко по добра) конфигурация, и на цена от 1249 лева в момента.

Here is how to proceed to get it to work right and in just few minutes…First, you will need a wired connection to the internet. Second we are going to download and install several dev-tools needed to install the Broadcom drivers that are missed from the recent Distro. Sure, you could use the Dell Ubuntu Moblin Remix but I do not like it at all and wanted to go with the real deal!

1. From Moblin, open Terminal (Applications/Accessories/Termial
2. Type this command:
sudo yum install rpmdevtools
type Y for yes when prompted to do so
3. Type this command:
sudo yum groupinstall “Development Tools”
type Y for yes when prompted to do so
4. Type this command:
sudo yum install kernel-netbook-devel
type Y for yes when prompted to do so
5. Type this command to get the drivers:

6. Type this command to rebuild the driver:

To all the people out there that loves Moblin as much as I do, here is a quick guide on how to dual boot OS X and Moblin without having to go too far from simple text files editing…

If you are starting from scratch with your PC system, here the proper order;

1. Install OS X (in my case is 10.6) leaving a 15GB partition as FREE SPACE. I am assuming you are using Chaeleon RC3 as bootloader.
2. Install Moblin (in my case V.2.1) using the 15GB as 14GB ext3 (make sure is at boot is in the root “/” ) and 1GB as Linux swap.
3. Boot into Moblin for the very first time and go to terminal (Accessories/Terminal)
4. Type this code to modify your GRUB (your bootloader):
sudo gedit /boot/grub/grub.conf
5. Enter your password and gedit will open in a new zone…I love it!
6. At this point you will able to read all the available entries. Delete the call-outs for silent boot and hidden menu located after the default and timeout. Set the timeout to 6, this gives you time to select before boot the default entry, which you can also modify 0,1,2…
7. Probably, the only one available entry is Moblin, you can now add you OS X entry right below it leaving a space. My new entry looks like this:

chainloader (hd0,2)/boot/boot0
Lets break it down it for added understanding: hd0,0 is my main disk, first partition. hd0,2 is my third partition where Moblin calls home the system files.
8. Save the file.
9, Reboot using a Chameleon USB pen drive. Make one in less than 3 minute by formatting the USB with a GUID partition table and installing Chameleon in it. Select your OS X partition and this will boot into OS X.
10. From terminal run this command replacing X ad Y with your OS X disk details, you can get them from Disk Utility (right click on the HD and get info):
dd if=boot1h of=rdiskXsY)
11. Copy your boot0 from the bootable USB to a new FAT formatted USB pen drive.
12. Boot into Moblin and copy your boot0 from the FAT USB drive into your temp folder. You will achieve this by copy and paste the file.
13. From terminal run this line to move the file:
sudo mv /temp/boot0 /boot
You boot0 is not under /boot and you are done!
14. Reboot and start OS X from GRUB by selecting it from the boot menu

Recent rumors are talking about Atom support being dropped by OS X 10.6 with the deployment or 10.6.2. Looks like a more aggressive CPU check will be put in place to avoid net book running with an Atom processor, to successfully install OS X. I have not yet tested the BETA 10.6.2 but I will.

OK, this is going to be the easiest tutorial I ever wrote, It took me less than 35 minutes last night. This is only good for the 10v, do not try on the mini10 because the video chip make no sense to OS X.

There are three major parts to follow:
1. The BIOS
2. The install
4. The update

The BIOS
This is the core of the whole install. You must download and flash this custom BIOS that I prepared for SL, in the same archive you will get a HP utility to prepare your USB memory fort he BIOS flashing. This is how it is done, after you have your archive on the desktop, Windows machine, in my case a virtual machine, you want to unzip the file and run the program named “HPUSBFW.EXE” located in the folder named “USBDOS”.
Format the USB memory as FAT32 and choose to make it a DOS bootable device. Select the system files from the WinME folder, Windows ME for good for nothing…actually only good to make a bootable DOS USB.
Once your bootable USB memory is ready, copy the SLBIOS.EXE in it, right on the root.
Insert the USB memory on your MINI 10V and hit F12 at DELL prompt, choose to boot up from USB. Now you should see WindowsME prompt and you want to type the following line:
SLBIOS.EXE /FORCEIT /FORCETYPE
NOTE: It is going to be extremely loud! Several beeps until is done, do not attempt while kids are sleeping…I did
The BIOS should now be SL ready. Here are some photo of before and after the modification. The before is version A06 and after is version A04. Do not try to install on A06 or higher because it simply won’t run throwing all kind of exceptions.

The Install

Download the NetBookBootMaker
Purchase a legal copy of Snow Leopard

Open disk utility and make a DMG out of you install DVD.
Check it for restore and them restore the image into your USB memory 8GB or more. Open NetBookBootMaker and install in this newly created install USB memory. Insert the USB memory into your mini10v and boot from USB as you did for the BIOS mod. In few short minutes you should be able to see this screens.



Choose your language, follow the onscreen instruction, if there are issues with your HD, simply open Disk Utility from the top menu and format your HD to 1 partition GUID and you are now ready to proceed installing on the main drive. Give it 20 to 25 minute and when ready to reboot, simply remove the USB memory from the slot…Believe it or not, you are DONE!

Oh well…I sold an old HP Omnibook 500 that I mostly used for Linux. I put it on Craig list and was gone in less than 3 hours. This is the basic INSPIRON mini 10v configuration, so no SSD disk. It has a 160GB HD and the infamous Intel 1.6Ghz Atom processor, no one can’t beat the price $299. FedEX Ground Home service simply rock! 2 days from Nashville to Tucson, super fast and deliver by 1030. What next? Easy, 10.6.1 to be installed, stand by for guide and files. It should not take me too long considering the hardware, most of it should work out of the box.

Setelah dua belas tahun yang memiliki komputer desktop aku akhirnya memilih untuk sebuah laptop jadi aku tidak lagi dirantai ke mejaku. Selama beberapa bulan aku tersiksa atas pembelian komputer berikutnya. Aku terus Laptop Second komputer saya cukup dasar tapi aku memilih untuk versi terbaru dari Norton Security lonjakan dilindungi kabel sebuah wirless router dan mouse nirkabel. Aku memilih mouse nirkabel saat aku pikir keyboard mouse akan sulit untuk digunakan. Setelah dua hari saya berhenti menggunakan mouse nirkabel saat aku cepat terbiasa dengan dibangun dalam satu.

Layar Laptop Second terang dan keyboard padat. Tombol mouse bagaimanapun berisik hampir kikuk Anda berpikir apakah Dell bisa menggunakan pegas yang lebih tenang untuk setiap tombol.

Baterai berlangsung setidaknya empat jam tanpa pengisian ulang dan kapan saya harus mengisi ulang aku bisa pergi dari hampir mati terisi penuh dalam waktu kurang dari satu jam.
