Intel Corporation is being featured here today and at
Stock-Market-Keywords.com for the time period
starting 11/3/2008 to 11/24/2009.

Although the stock metadata reports presented for Intel Corporation are 100% accurate, the actual stock prices and number of shares traded in these reports for Intel Corporation have been altered slightly to maintain the focus on the metadata.

Let’s get started. Metadata refers to data about data. We can examine some of what is available from using metadata by simply looking at two of the reports found here as PDFs for Intel Corporation.

First, click on the Daily Historical Metadata Summary report screen shown below. Here you’ll see one type of metadata analysis with results for Intel Corporation showing stock price ranges and price relationships for a defined time frame indicating how shares of this company have been trading.

You can then use these types of statistics to obtain hints of what to expect and not expect to happen with the stock price during the day, a sort of best-case or worst-case scenario.

The 15-minute Hi-Low Counts report shown below for Intel Corporation can be equally informative. Statistically speaking when analyzing stock information over a specific date range, if you want to know the 15-minute period when shares trade at their highest price or lowest price, or the 15-minute period when the highest or lowest number of shares are traded, this report provides those answers.

If you choose to create your own version of these reports for your personal use only, links to detailed descriptions of each of them can also be found on the Reports Defined page which is located on the Stock-Market-Keywords.com site.

All of these reports are free and have the information you need to understand the different aspects of what has been happening with this company’s stock.

I’m not talking about simply cartoons, but actualy animation. Disney recently acquired PIXAR in a strategic move to gain market share in a rapidly shrinking market position. I do believe that the acquisition was not needed, and I don’t think it was a market growth strategy. It was more, like, a technology acquisition one. There are patents, probably, held by PIXAR, that Disney would have wanted. And you can see the different output effects in the movie quality (difference) of Disney vs Pixar.

As an engineer, I’m really interested in where the industry is going. Particularly for me, specializing in the area of optics, I have been very interested in the possibilities of alternative ways of development. CurrentUirkly, animation involves a long-lived process of designing a cartoon from pen, scanning this into the computer, reanimating the picture using computerized color; and then drawing tweens, which show the rapid transition between frames (sometimes done by computers, sometimes done by hand).

What would the world be like, however, if the process of image development was different. Bill Gates once envisioned development by the “speed of thought“. What if you could control image development using your fingers? If computers did the development using auto-colorization; auto-contrasting; auto-pixellation; automation right throughout the developmental process? Microsoft Surface, soon-to-be-commercial is coming out soon, and software developers will soon be using tools that allow users to ubiquitiously act and react with computing tools on any… surface. This should transform the cartooning industry, and will be an interesting development, particularly as computing power increases, with Intel’s new release of the Core i7.

New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo caused quite a stir this week with his antitrust suit against Intel, accusing the chip giant of conducting “an illegal campaign to deprive AMD of distribution channels.”

More than a few writers and bloggers chalked it up to politics. Cuomo’s ambitions are no secret: he wishes to be governor of the state just like his father Mario once was. With current governor David Patterson performing abysmally in opinion polls and up for reelection next year, this could be the time for the son of one of New York’s most famous governors to strike.

Scott Testa, professor of Business Administration at Cabrini College in Philadelphia, adds “My gut is Intel is a very aggressive company and [Cuomo] felt there was an opportunity there, and felt that New York consumers were being wronged, and thought he’d make his move. Intel is very dominant in their market.”

Right now, the testimony is from executives and e-mails dating back as far as 2002. A trial could mean a parade of past and present PC OEM CEOs like Michael Dell, Mark Hurd, Carly Fiorina and Sam Palmisano testifying under oath, which could be either devastating or exculpatory to Intel.

Testa doesn’t believe it was on that level. “I truly believe that this was a mid-level, low-level management issue where you had an aggressive sales person or sales managers. That’s my gut. These rebates are public knowledge. This is between two public companies,” he said.

The latter part of Cuomo’s claim that “Intel launched an illegal campaign to deprive AMD of distribution channels and consumers of product choice and lower prices” could be a tough sell, since no one would argue that CPU prices haven’t come down over the course of the decade even as they advanced and became more powerful.

October 31, 2009

Posted by Bruce Temkin

The Web is becoming an increasingly important channel for companies, yet online experiences leave a lot to be desired. Our research shows that most sites have poor usability and they don’t reinforce key brand attributes. That’s why I worked with Ron Rogowski (the primary author) on a research report that created a concept called Emotional Experience Design, which we define as:

Creating interactions that engage users by catering to their emotional needs.

Emotional Experience Design is quite different from today’s functional design:

To apply Emotional Experience Design, firms must:

Address customers’ real goals. People may come to a Web site to get service or buy a product, but that’s typically not the beginning or culmination of their journey. The mother of a newborn with stomach problems isn’t going to a site for information about medication; she’s looking for a way to bring comfort to her baby — and maybe get a little relief for herself. If firms want to engage customers, their sites must cater to these deeper customer needs..

Develop a coherent personality. Web sites can feel sterile — devoid of a brand’s human characteristics, which are often apparent in other channels. But firms need their online experiences to do even more than just reinforce their brands; the experiences should enrich them. How? By developing a coherent, consistent personality that customers can easily recognize throughout all interactions.

Engage a mix of senses. Over reliance on text and imagery makes many sites indistinguishable from competitors. Interestingly, most people can’t remember the content of Intel’s commercials, but they can easily imitate the Intel sound. While Web experiences don’t allow users to taste or smell objects, they can and absolutely should engage users’ senses of sight, hearing, and even touch.

The bottom line: It’s time to make emotional connections online.

If you have installed any mods or custom content from independent creators, this will help you. Disa

If you have installed any mods or custom content from independent creators, this will help you. Disable all mods, [move them to a temporary [folder] outside of the The Sims 3 folder] until you have a clean running game or you will not know if your crashes are due to the game or indie custom content and/or mods effecting the game.

Delete the following files located in your C:My Document/Electronic Arts/Sims 3:

CASPartCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package

Then delete all files in the WorldCaches directory

This will give your game a chance to rewrite the caches based on no installed mods or indie custom content, just official TS3 content, as some custom content and mods overwrite some content in the game and it is saved in these cache files which can cause a crash if they are not written correctly. The cache files will automatically be rewritten when you start the game. You can always re-add your custom content and mods after you have a game that runs without crashing, then if it crashes you can know that it is the game or some other technical problem such as graphics driver or graphics driver setting and not the mods or indie custom content causing the problem.

Uninstall EADM (EA Download manager)

It appears that it too is contributing to the crash. How? Only EA can answer that one, but it needs a definite fix. I will update this post as soon as a compatible EADM is tested that works, because we need the EADM to play any other games purchased through the EA download store.

Set the details to lots no higher than 4

I say no higher than 4 because I’m using an ultra fast Intel i7 975 quad core processor with two nvidia gtx295 cards (not bragging – I didn’t design the dang thing, but it is the fastest CPU/GPU processor combo available at the time of this writing) and anything higher than 4 and it crashes to desktop, so I am assuming that 4 must be the max for most multi-core processors using nvidia cards (and more than likely ATI cards as well), and as usual this may not be the case for your computer so start at a low number – test – then if no crash take it up a notch to see if your computer can take it. If it crashes, take it back down a notch.

Don’t attempt any fancy graphics card enhancements or overclocking, just leave your settings to default until you have stabilized the game. This also proved fatal when tryinh some fancy-pants graphics card settings.

The maximum high detailed lots when stepped down from the max [regardless of the power of your computer or graphics card], as well as uninstalling the EADM until a fix comes out for it, has successfully ended all crashing to the desktop and save errors.

Reduce high detailed lots from 16 [max] to 8 this reduced, but did not eliminate the crash to desktop and save errors. Reduced it to 6 [even less crashing] and finally set it to 4 and this seems to eliminate ALL crashing to the desktop and even the infamous “Save error 16, 14 and 13″.

Thinking of starting my blog, I had a lot of things playing on my mind. This and that of computers,

Thinking of starting my blog, I had a lot of things playing on my mind. This and that of computers, software, bla bla bla, but I ended up starting something a little… extensive. Something that will cover why and what really we are here for, and that will be all about PCs take it or leave it. To kick this blog thing off, I would like to start with our computers. This time I will do the basic, the hardware, the metal and plastic. Things that we should consider, what type, what to buy and all other stuff that we should care about if we want to build a good system.

As a graduate of sociology, even my spirit is, until now, in awe, why I slipped into the IT world. In fact, I have made a good career out of it. But we will not discuss that. I would rather take you somewhere where we can help each other by taking a closer look at our PCs.

Choosing the right PC hardware can be tough and burdensome. By not having what you need, you end up wanting for more or even regretting, so why not build one that perfectly match your needs. Personally, when getting a PC or making one enough really is not enough. Sooner than you think, you will crave for more. More speed, more capable PCs. For a desktop here are things most worthy to check before you buy, this is if you are building from scratch. But if you are planning to get branded ones, there’s a lot to choose from, I would however recommend IBM, Dell or an HP.

Mainboard

Per experience, Intel based mainboard usually outperforms other boards. Take mobo’s (short for mainboard) that has the latest chipset whatever your choice is i.e. Intel, Via or Sis. If price is not much an issue, you get a Genuine Intel Mainboard (of course to match with your processor). Take note that boards have different configurations so make sure that you have everything exactly suited. Try to learn about chipsets, processor form-factors, video card types (SLI, ati, nvidia). There is nothing better than knowing what you are buying.

If you want to know more about chipsets you may check this link. This one gives us more info (prepare to be overwhelmed) on motherboards, form-factors, CPU sockets, etc.

Recommendation: Intel Mainboard (latest chipset), better no in-built video processor, your choice actually. If you are building a gaming PC, the latter recommendation is absolute. But if you are trying to do a PC for document processing/web browsing usage, boards with built-in video cards may work just fine. MSI and Gigabyte are boards that are also good and modestly priced. You can get one of these brands and make sure it carries an Intel-based chipset (Intel 965 chipset, for that matter).

Memory

The rule of the thumb is the more the memory stuffed inside your PC, the better will your PC run. Get at least 2 gigabyte of memory. These chips have a lot of variants, sizes and all. The best brands I know are Kingston, Apacer, Transcend or Geil. Some vendors offer lifetime warranty on memories, so always ask and check if it’s available. That really is a protection of some sort for you and your PC, should you have problems in the future. Do not forget the type of memory (SDRAM, DDR, DDR2, and SODIMM). The most common nowadays and what mostly likely have shipped with your PC are DDR2 400/533/667/800/1024 MHz, but still check what you have. Usually you’ll find a sticker on your memory card (your memory card is inside your PC, sitting on the memory slot/s) where there the details are written. SODIMM memories are for laptops/notebooks so be warned. Pair memory as much as possible, that would mean that if you’re going to use memories try to do it by same brand, same size configuration. Mobo’s have arrays of memory slots. You can do a 512 mb + 512 mb configuration or a 1 GB + 1 GB configuration and so on. Really, all is up to you and how much you need. Make sure that you are always future proof, what I mean is that you make your PC scalable, what I mean is that you make your PC can handle your pounding. Don’t stuff your PC with software that you don’t need or actually use. I have seen so many users installing software of sorts but don’t actually use what they put in (more on this in the future).

If you want to learn more on memory, hit this link and download the memory guide in pdf.

Recommendation: Kingston/Apacer/Transcend/Geil – better if you can find those that come with Heat Sinks. I know it’s available because I used one when I still had a desktop, so check it out.

Hard Drive

This is getting more fun. Hard Drives are like your playground, your digital trash can, the place where you put all your stuff. For years I have remained a follower of Seagate and Maxtor, no other, period. Why? Because they earned my trust. I have to admit they fail sometimes, by getting bricked or dying before my eyes, bust most often they leave up to my expectations. SATA/SATA2 is the keyword. Make sure that when you get one; get at least, a SATA drive. This will give you a good boost when you run your programs, far better than the IDE drives. SATA is the current standard. Most likely your PC box will ship with a SATA drive, but nonetheless, check. If you are planning to build a new PC, insist on a SATA drive. If you are planning for an upgrade, check your Mainboard if it supports SATA. You might end up buying one and making a paper weight out of it just because it isn’t compatible to your board. So please check. Get the size you need, I don’t believe in, “It may be small (in size, etc.) but it’s cheap, that’s why I bought it”. With computer parts, the difference is sometimes lean that you don’t notice it. Sometimes the price of an 80 GB hard drive is merely a hundred pesos away to a 120 GB, so why not stretch the budget a bit. Trust me there is no big hard disk space out there nor can you say 80 GB is enough. You will always crave for more.

I have once received an advice telling me not to put data more than 50% of my drive’s capacity. This means that if you have an 80 GB drive, you can only put 40 GB. This advice have always worked for me. Of course I don’t follow it like I will die if I don’t but I always go back to that idea. Do not overstuff your drive, finito! This without a doubt applies to other gadgets such as phones, camera, etc.

Recommendation: Maxtor/Seagate, at least 160 GB, SATA/SATA2 (just make sure your board supports SATA).

A good source for information on SATA technology can be found on this site.

Video Card

Good video card + good monitor, that’s the way to do it baby. Pick up a 512mb video card. Just like our rule for memory, the bigger the video memory, the faster the PC plus the better your experience in games and graphics (web browsing included). If you’re a video card buff, try SLI, again check your board. SLI is a technology that allows you to use two video cards at the same time. The result? Faster gaming experience. Of course if you are only up to editing some documents, you don’t need much power like running SLI. The least video card memory I could recommend is 128mb, nvidia. I tend to like NVIDIA better than ATI. This may be purely personal but I find nvidia chip based video cards perfect for me. I have been fond of Sparkle (vga card brand) before, not only that its cheap but it’s also reliable plus BIOS upgradable. For the latter part, I don’t recommend you doing such, as you might toast your video card.

Here’s the link for information on SLI and what it does.

Recommendation: NVIDIA/at least 128 mb

Processor

Since our board is an Intel or Intel-based, we are sure to get an Intel Processor. I am reminded of the time that AMD was really winning the war on Processors. I always dreamed of seeing AMD beat down the mighty Intel even just once. I think they failed, I just thought they were winning. Our processor should fit the cage. That would mean that you have to get the processor type that matches your board, absolutely. You cannot insert a processor that is using the AMD Platform to an Intel LGA775 pin less structure. Nay, no.

Core 2 Duo, my friend, Core 2. Don’t settle for something less. Even at a point where you think, I’m going to use this PC for document processing only, do get a good processor. The natural turn of event is that sooner than you know you will be itching of having more brain power on your PC and that would also be the time that you will somehow regret. Check out the processors out there. Years ago, prices or price of processors were bit of high. It was like buying a parcel of land, years passed and its selling like fish in the market, sometimes fish would even cost higher than your average processor. Meet your match processor, draw a line within the 2GHz clock i.e. Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz.

I have used AMD before, and I still say I’ll stick with Intel. But don’t take my word just that easy check it out maybe there is something there that you might like from AMD.

Have a look at this chart of Intel Processors, capabilities included.

Recommendation: Intel Core 2 Duo/at least 2GHz, Core 2 Quad has been released, you may check it also.

Case

Whatever PC case you pick make sure that it can stay cool (literally). Lian Li alloy casing has always been my choice. It is sturdy, neat and really do the cooling part great. Their cases are usually made from aluminum materials, sometimes even the buttons are made out of aluminum too! Isn’t it lovely, eh? There are other cooling tricks out there, some come with water and your PC looks like a fridge. I am not suggesting that you bring all cooling technologies down to your box, but do cool down that machine you have. Unless you are thinking of frying your processor and memory, there is no other way than to cool that system dude and dudettes.

Recommendation: Lian Li Casing – or other alternative/generic casing as long it has a cooling system (air vents on the side, big fans at rear or cover side)

Power supply

Never go beyond a 400 watt Power supply. The power supply I’m talking about is what you have inside of your PC. I do prefer 500 watts, this way we can protect out PCs better. I still remember those days where I often see PCs burning and the reason was Power Supply. If you are trying to run a Pentium 2 333MHz PC, a 250 watt power supply will do, but with today processors with brain power that can calculate a million commands in split second and chew algorhythm like bubble gum, a good power supply is really worth buying. Always make sure that your mainboard gets a regulated and stable supply of power. Power outage and surge is always bad for your PC, servers included.

Recommendation: 500 Watts Power Supply/Good brand (usually a little expensive than generic power supply). HEC has been a brand that have worked for me.

Keyboard/Mouse

Hands down I choose Logitech. Whatever your need is, Logitech has something for you. Not only they provide good models, sometimes fancy, but it just works. Their keyboards and mice are so nice to use, especially during long computing tasks (encoding, blogging). Let me also add that their products also last. I have seen some fake and counterfeit product out in the market, some really I find hard to distinguish whether it is fake or the real one, so be careful. Scrutinize the package before you bring your mouse and keyboard home. For the most part of our computing life, we interact using our keyboard and mouse so why not pamper our hands with a duo of a Logitech Keyboard and mouse. I still would like you to use the wired and USB types. I hate the cordless mouse, especially those that require batteries. It is a bit annoying that before I can use my mouse, I have to make sure that it’s fully charged. Come on!

Recommendation: Logitech all the way.

Monitor

Damn, get what you want. LCD it is? Go and buy one. Currently the price for monitors whether LCD or CRT is neck and neck. LCD is more gentle to our eyes. It might hurt you a little because it usually is a little expensive than their old predecessors, the CRTs, but nevertheless, LCDs has a lot of things to offer. We can ogle at our screens for a longer time, with less pain on our eyes. If you are adventurous enough you can even hang it, twist it, rotate it. We can put it wherever we want. Less space, less clutter. When buying one, always ask for the maximum resolution your choice of monitor can achieve. By standard most monitors can run on a 1024×768 resolution at 60Hz refresh rate. If you do find something that can do higher, that my friend would be a better deal. Before bringing home one, always have your monitor checked prior to tending your cash. Check for dead pixels and other annoying stuff on the display, if you see some pixel going wrong or some distortions on the display slap the face of IT Shop rep and tell him or her that you need a new one. Pay him after you slap him, though.

Recommendation: Samsung 17” LCD Monitor would be cool. If you are a graphics artist or dreaming to become one or a frustrated, unrelenting bum, why not get a 21” LCD Monitor.

Uninterruptible Power Supply/Surge Protector (UPS)

Yes, please. Buy one of this. You’ll need it. Protect your system from its weakness, power. After all, our computer is an electronic equipment. A regulated inflow of power with a standby power of at least 10-15 minutes undoubtedly would be a big help.

Recommendation: APC, yes APC 500VA UPS.

Speakers

What could i say about speakers? Altec Lansing, period. Of all sound box really, this brand is only what i like couple it with a good sound card from Creative, sure fire, you can bring thunder right in your room.

So, I think this will be all for now. You are all welcome to post your comments. Next up will be Operating Systems and Softwares. Thanks.

Continuing the regular look at the best sites, banners and indescribables that came across my desk this week. If you see something (or better yet, make something!) worth checking out, please leave a comment and I’ll come check it out.

There’s something about the work out there at the moment that makes me want to leap out of my 9th – soon to be 11th – floor window. There is tedious, self-absorbed work from Mercedez Benz, Intel, Bank of America, it goes on. The BofA site, The Morris Code, it particularly disappointing as it comes courtesy of Organic, who really should know better. We’re seeing the continued proliferation of TV commercials doubling as micro-sites, engaged in unhealthy, endless bouts of flashturbation. And for what? For limited, one-time value that disappears the second the media buy is over. Don’t get me wrong, the production values on those sites are off the charts, but I think that’s part of the problem – all of these sites are driving a message down the throat of the visitor instead of finding a way to engage and interact.

I finally arrived with great pleasure and enthusiasm on Magnetic North’s site, which had at least taken the time to consider what one might like to do on the web. Light on the flash, heavy on the interaction, you can scribble on their home page, which reveals their work beneath it. View a campaign, if you like it click just once to see similar projects, a mix of finished products, sketches and demos. When are people going to learn brands can be tinkerers too? The best stuff is rarely shiny and never perfect.

The best banner execution I saw this week was for Prius. Saatchi in the US executed it but hats off to the media buyer, it no doubt took a lot of work to get it off the ground. Banner Blog has a QuickTime clip of it in action, honourable mention also to a Tourism Victoria spot from Publicis Mojo, which doesn’t seem to be working properly on BB but I get the sense there’s something pretty cute going on.

From the Much More Important Than Advertising Dept.: I missed this announcement from Google saying they were extending their dalliance with Open ID. As I wrote earlier this week at AVC, I want a single point of identification in my web access, not several logins for hundreds of silos. Slowly slowly catchy monkey.

But the coolest thing I saw this week, hands down, was some new work out of Boffswana, which is staffed by a friend or two in Melbourne. Look at the below video and marvel.

Augmented Reality: Releas3D Standalone Version. from Boffswana on Vimeo.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Website: www.sponsorsoftomorrow.com

Intel Corporation just launched a new marketing campaign focusing not on their Intel components, but actually on their brand. This is the largest branding campaign out today. This websites is an action script (discussed in my Cinco de Mayo blog) and flash based site that brings the effects of video to life. It is a soft feel website, which enlightens the content on the page. The arrows on the right and left allow the user to switch scenes by not selecting from a navigation. This is becoming a big element many clients are wanting to add to their site. It provides a unique navigation experience for the user and allows them to not only browse quickly, but allows them to go back quickly if needed.

This type of site would work well with a wide variety of companies and products. What makes this site bad is the platform of flash it was developed in. Many website admins find them self in a position to improve ranking for their site. Designing a website in flash doesn’t allow for you to use SEO keywords or integrate any type of tracking. Within the next few months or years, Google will develop tools that will make a flash sites track-able and SEO friendly, but until this time, many website developers are sticking with the traditional website development techniques, unless they are willing to take a risk. A risk like this can either make or break your website. This site will definitely be pushing the edge between busting or banking. Only time will tell to see how this site flows.

U.S. EPA released a list of the nation’s “Top 50 Green Power Purchasers.” The list is led by Intel Corporation, PepsiCo, Kohl’s Department Stores, Dell Inc., Whole Foods Market, The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc., Johnson & Johnson, U.S. Air Force, Cisco Systems, Inc. and the City of Houston. For the second year in a row, Intel Corporation is the nation’s largest single purchaser of green power with purchases of more than 1.3 billion kWh of green power per year. This corresponds to CO2 emissions from the electricity use of nearly 130,000 average American homes.

Kohl’s who more than doubled their green power purchase secured a No. 3 spot on the National Top 50 list. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Dannon, Sony DADC and Motorola for the first time appeared on the National Top 50 list securing the No. 15, No. 33, No. 40 and No. 44 spots, respectively.

EPA’s Green Power Partnership works with more than 1,000 partner organizations to voluntarily purchase green power to reduce the environmental impacts of conventional electricity use. Overall, EPA Green Power Partners are buying more than 16 billion kWh of green power annually, equivalent to the CO2 emissions from electricity use of more than 1.5 million American homes.

The nation’s top 50 purchasers are buying more than 11 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of green power annually, equivalent to the carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) that would be produced from the electricity use of more than 1.1 million average American homes. Green power is generated from renewable resources such as solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, biogas, and low-impact hydropower. Green power electricity generates less pollution than conventional power and produces no net increase in greenhouse gas emissions.

The last post talked about buying a PUT. Also in a previous post I described how the risk/return gr

The last post talked about buying a PUT. Also in a previous post I described how the risk/return graph changes when we take an opposite position.

Lets use the same INTC March $12 Put (symbol NQOM). If you buy the Put (Long the Put) your risk/reward at expiration looks like this:

$12 March 2009 INTEL Put

And if you sell the Put (Short the Put) your risk/reward at expiration looks like this:

$12 March 2009 Intel Put - Short

For this example I have assumed that you can sell the option for the same price that you can buy it. In reality, if you look at these bid/ask prices in the previous post, you can sell the option for $0.72, a 3 cent difference. Also, because the spread is 3 cents, it MAY be possible to buy or sell this option for $0.73 or $0.74.

Notice that the graph is just mirrored about the x-axis.

If INTC closes above $12 at expiration, you will have a gain of $0.75, if INTC closes at $11.25, you will not gain or lose anything. As GE goes below $11.25, you will start to have a loss, with the maximum loss being unlimited (to INTC going to $0, which would be a loss of $11.25). And if INTC closes between $11.25 and $12.00 at expiration, you will have some gain.

If you sell the Put, also known as WRITING a Put, you have an OBLIGATION to purchase the underlying stock, in this example INTC, for $12.00 if the holder of the option exercises the option. It is the buyer of the Option that has a choice, or option.

I do NOT recommend writing NAKED options, because the maximum loss is unlimited. Naked means that you do not have another position that limits the downside risk. Understand how options work and paper trade them before taking any positions.

To be continued–
