Jordan is one of the biggest mobile phone markets in the world. People usually get two mobile phone lines, one for work and the other is for personal life. This phone is the personal life phone. The idea here is to build a connection between the user and the phone. Phones for “personal life” are usually cheap and basic. This phone goes back to basics through using technology. It focuses on one simple feature which is calling family and loved ones.

Interface is a global modular carpet manufacturer gaining attention for its move towards sustainability. The company has made it its mission (Mission Zero) to eliminate any negative impact Interface has on the environment by 2020. On its journey, Interface has picked up on cradle to cradle practices. To close the loop on manufacturing, ReEntry 2.0 was created. Under this program, InterfaceFLOR became the first commercial carpet manufacturer to recover nylon 6,6 for recycling into new nylon 6,6 for the manufacturing of new carpets. Their clean separation process, removes carpet fibers from backing to be reused in new carpets. In order to fully implement this process, Interface recovers carpets from customers who no longer want their carpets. By adopting this practice of recovery, recycle and reuse, Interface is moving closer to its zero waste mission while embracing its extended producer responsibility. In the words of Ray C. Anderson, founder of Interface, it’s about…

“closing the loop on material flows so that you have not only the basic organic cycle we’re all familiar with—the dust to dust cycle—but in an analogous way, a technical cycle that takes used-up products and gives them life after- life through the recycling process, so that no molecules are lost; everything stays in the flow, the material loop. All of that is basically emulating nature in an industrial system, and that remains our goal.”

Make sure your clean clothes still training. As you age, you may discover that you've got a little bigger or a little lower in some places, where appropriate, invest in some new parts, or have you are currently adapted to fit and complement your figure.

Step 2

Wear clothes that are current and adjust to your age group. If you always wear the same clothes you wore in high school, it is time to update your look with something more modern. Keep in mind that you still have the age to wear appropriate clothing (ie not far from the belly bearing tops and mini skirts!). Be inspired by fashion magazines, and advice to workers in the clothing stores.

Step 3

Be sure to moisturize every day, dry skin really exposes lines deep.

Step 4

Consult a dermatologist if your skin is showing age. You do not have to get Botox or chemical peels or one of those fancy stuff (although they are options), you can see what types of creams / lotions they can recommend to help fight the signs of aging. Also, if you've noticed varicose veins, you can have them too.

Step 5

Use a quality sunscreen, the sun can reap havoc on your skin

Step 6

Continue to wear your makeup, just make sure it's not too hard or for maturing skin. Your best bet is to stop at the nearest cosmetics counter and ask what shade of color and what brands of makeup are best to hide the aging.

Step 7

Get a new haircut and hot color. This is the perfect time to try this again or Pixie Bob cut you thought, and to cover gray hairs that were sprouting. Ask your stylist what cut and color would complement and help to hide signs of aging, they could recommend some ideas (egEye-skimming Bangs, the ideal staging etc.) Keep regular appointments so that your hair hair is still young and fresh.

If you're like me, as long as I can remember, I was addicted to carbohydrates. I used to be skeptical when someone claims to be addicted to any type of food. Well, I am now in my mid-50s and a few years ago, I discovered that I was a victim of addiction, and it cost me my health. I have diabetes type II, and my body does not handle well all carbs, and some are treated worse than others nursing online university.Read on to find out what I had to do to break the dependence on carbohydrates and get control of my life … because I love them both!

jQuery ( '. intro. vignette'). each (function (i, e) (jQuery (e). find ( 'img'). a ( 'error', function () (jQuery (e).Agel whole grains, corn, peas, muesli, yams, beans and lentils.Basically, we can not avoid carbohydrates because we need it, but we often eat just too many of them for good health.

Step 2

What I discovered is well known, the more carbohydrates you eat, the more you feel like carbohydrates. This is the biggest problem we face, and this makes it difficult to break the carb habit. In my personal case, I was faced with having to change my diet because of diabetes type II, and until I methodically measured my blood sugar blood every waking hour for several days to try and learn what foods were made for my blood sugar in the blood, I never my body knew what I call the process of primary and secondary carbohydrate carbohydrates or processed differently.I give a primary carb rice, potatoes, fruits and beans such, foods rich in carbohydrate is not added to other ingredients before cooking, and what I call high carbohydrate foods are such as bread, pasta and tortillas, carbohydrate-rich foods that have been created from other carb-rich sources, combined and cooked.

Step 3

The only way you can learn how you process carbs is to check your blood sugar every hour all day. Nothing else works, believe me. The first lesson I lear Hot News: How to Relieve an Itchy Throat

Despre ce este vorba? Pai simplu. Ne-am ales doua seturi de cuvinte, dupa care vom face periodic cautare pe Google si vom vedea ce pozitie are site-ul nostru. Aceste seturi sunt:

In prezent situatia arata in felul urmator:

Pentru “imagine reality”, ocupam in prezent locul 1 din cca. 65 de milioane de pagini

Pentru “game reviews and graphics tutorials”, inca nu ocupam un loc (din cauza faptului ca Google nu a actualizat inca informatiile legate de site-ul nostru, ceea ce face ca site-ul nostru inca sa figureze ca “under construction”, desi acest tag nu mai figureaza in site-ul nostru de cateva zile bune).

In anticipation of Mass Effect 2 from Bioware, I restarted a game of Mass Effect. I really enjoy the

In anticipation of Mass Effect 2 from Bioware, I restarted a game of Mass Effect. I really enjoy the game, even if it has some often mentioned flaws, such as the exploration and the ridiculous Mako. The setting is not my cup of tea; I’m no big scifi-fan. The story is entertaining, dialogue is convincing, some choices really have an effect on the story (even if they don’t change the main plot).

But this post isn’t about the gameplay flaws and in my opinion minor problems, but about things I hate about Mass Effect: interface annoyances which turn some aspects of my game experience into an unnecessary laborious micromanaging chore and a waste of time to actually play.

Item flood

I loved Diablo 2 which is known to have perfected the collecters urge in all of us: loads of items, each with different statistics and the possibility of being better than already equiped objects. One of the main fun aspects of the game (if not the primary) was and still is the hunt for better equipment. Mass Effect, in good RPG tradition, tried to implement this sensation of gathering new items, but unfortunately with not enough balance. The game introduces several different manufacturers of weapons, armour and tools, which all have different products. But in the end, only three manufacturers really produce objects worth to be carried and used? I see the RPG aspect, given that each item has a detailed information page, probably trying to immerse the player into the ME universe. But hey, as long as the weapon X deals more damage over a longer period of time as weapon Z, I don’t care if the manufacturer is potentially Russian or Turian!

Information politics

ME has a weird notion on which information to give to the player; and where and when. I noticed this on three different occasions of gameplay.

1. The game has the habit of providing information on items I don’t need or want. As described in the above-mentioned criticism, I’m overwhelmed by the history and background on the manufactures of armour, weapons and upgrades. Sorry, but if immersion is to be created that way, it didn’t work for me. Rather have the manufactures play a role in quests or the/a story. As a consequence, let their politics have an impact on my choice of choosing one. Or did I miss something in ME?

2. When in the buying/selling screen, the items proposed by shopowners or in my inventory don’t show their main statistics as a base setting. Rather, I get the so called “details”tab, which gives me the information from the just mentioned point. But these manufactures details don’t influence my choices on which equipment to wear, buy or sell. So, items have to inform me about their main statistics, bonuses etc. without the player doing any extra mouse click.

3. After battle or after opening a container, items to be picked up are shown only by their name; as such, vital informations concerning the purpose of the equipment is missing. Since I do not recall all item names with their statistics, I have to take the items each time and doubble check in the (horrible) inventory…. which brings me straight to my next annoyance.

Messy inventory

That ME was adapted from a console game to the PC is obvious and has some impact on the next horrible feature: the inventory system and how it sorts. I rarely have seen such an unorganized and unhandy inventory (Knights of the Old Republic has the same problem). A long list of item names with a referance to the objects type. Luckily, in the equip screen, the items are sorted by the weapons and tool categories, i.e. shotguns are all found under the shotgun tab. But why does my Miss Shepard (yes, I play a woman) have to scroll through all armour types in my inventory, even if she can’t wear them, i.e. Turian, Krogan etc.?

In the buy/sell screen, it’s even worse. All my items are listed, and in no logical order. Objects from the same type are spread all over this list, which by 150 items is quite long. And no sorting function in sight! This is the way I imagine the inside of womens handbags to be.

Instead, give me a big inventory and let me please sort it according to different categories, such as weapons, armour, questitems, etc or functions, i.e. equipable, usable etc.

So, I really hope ME 2 improves these inconveniences. They are by no means unsolvable and Bioware has proven with other games that they know how to do better.

Many teams that build service capabilities have to manage multiple versions – this is a proble

Many teams that build service capabilities have to manage multiple versions – this is a problem for any shared asset really – be it a library, component, or service. Using extensible schema contracts (also referred to as Consumer Driven Contracts) you can design service contracts that allow both provider to evolve and consumer to integrate in a flexible manner. In this post, I want to suggest five additional tips when managing web services:

1. Figure out how many versions your team will support concurrently. Too little will force all your consumers to be on a single version and too many will become a maintenance nightmare for you (the provider). In past implementations, I have maintained upto 3 versions while actively moving all service consumers towards one target version. A related approach is to have multiple flavors for your service capability one that returns data that most consumers want, the second that provides the minimal set of attributes, and a third flavor that returns the full list of data items. This may or may not be possible in your case, but something to consider when designing contracts.

2. Figure out how you are going to support multiple versions as a service provider. You can use xml schema namespaces to indicate versions: http://some-company.com/services/CustomService_ver1_0.xsd, ver1_1.xsd and so on. Consider creating a service adapter that can translate back and forth between a new service implementation and the existing one. This can potentially help you with one server side implementation of the functional logic and still service your current and new consumers. This adapter component can perform necessary data transformations, error code & error message translations, and massage response with data attributes as appropriate.

3. Communicate the change in the service capability and gauge the appetite with existing consumers for their ability to absorb the changes in the same release time frame that you are targeting to drop your new version. If you co-ordinate the release, you can get them to new version when you go live. However, for mission critical applications you will want to support both your current and new version concurrently for a small time period before switching the old one off.

4. When you design forward-compatible schemas, you can test the data-binding against multiple platforms. For example, use WSDL2Java if you are using Apache Axis in Java or wsdl.exe if you are in .NET and generate appropriate web service proxy classes and data binding classes. What i have done is to implement JUnit and NUnit automated test cases that run everytime there is a new WSDL or service contract (XSD) change. This will not only validate the service functional logic, but also the forward-compatibility of existing clients. Make sure your when you generate bindings that you generate with both the new schema/wsdl (your updated version) and the existing schema/wsdl files (the version currently used by production clients).

5. Establish lightweight service governance – it is critical to plan how many service flavors and versions you will support, when will they get upgraded, deprecated, decommissioned, etc. and communicate those with your consumers. Identify checkpoints in your development process where contracts can be reviewed and service behavior can be discussed openly. The well thought out service orientation strategy is a benefit for both the provider and the consumers in your organization.

One problem that plagues all tech devices today is the learning curve that one is required to learn

One problem that plagues all tech devices today is the learning curve that one is required to learn in order to use any piece of hardware. Because, honestly, who wants to learn? As humans in the technological revolution, we’ve been bred to skip right on past the manual and teach ourselves how to use any given technology. What is an instruction manual but a complimentary coaster with every purchase?

Enter Pranav Mistry, who plans to do away with instruction manuals and the usual method of “guess-and-check” learning as we know it. His vision, called SixthSense which actually exists but still appears to be in its design phases, fully integrates a wearable computer with your natural hand motions. For example, say you want to take a picture, but you are either to lazy to take out a camera, or you simply don’t have the time to. Simply hold up both of your thumbs and pointer fingers like a director making a frame, and that shot is saved to the hard drive. Want to view, edit and/or email the pictures you took? Find a wall, draw a circle in the air with your fingers and the interface is projected onto the wall, just like that. All of these manipulations are made possible by a small camera that is part of the wearable ensemble. This camera tracks your fingers and interprets their motion as actions. Magic? That’s what it appears to be. But this is the future. Actually, no, wait. This is the present.

SixthSense has nearly limitless applications, including a computer on a piece of paper. Ya, I know, that seems a little beyond ones own imagination. Don’t believe me? See this and other examples of SixthSense in action in the video after the break.

Have you ever seen a website whose interface is ‘way out there’? Of course you have – there are man

Have you ever seen a website whose interface is ‘way out there’? Of course you have – there are many. Sites where, for better or worse, the designer has chosen to make her own path rather than follow a tried and tested design.

Individual design is a highly creative discipline; it forces the designer to think about every little detail, how those details fit together and how they combine as a whole. It allows the designer to express personality, demonstrate their technical and aesthetic capability, and challenge accepted norms. To be brief, it’s something of a clean sheet with all the possibilities that this brings.

Conformity is the contrasting approach; it’s more constrained, conforming to established rules, guidelines, accepted practice, you name it. It prescribes ways of doing things and in practice frees the designer from the tyranny of that ‘clean sheet’ which can be daunting.

Neither approach is ‘all-or-nothing’; the designer will find a balance that suits their own preference, experience and abilities, tempered by the requirements of the customer. We’d like to consider some benefits and drawbacks of either approach.

First of all, let’s consider conformity. The driving force behind conformity (in a software design context) is to take advantage of the hard-won experience of those who have gone before. Over time, a solid body of accepted practice has built up, shaped by the lessons learnt about what works and what doesn’t. There’s a good reason that things are the way they are.

In conventional software development, for example for Windows forms-based applications, a great deal of the hard-work is already done. There are standard form styles, controls, menu conventions, buttons and so on. A user, having never seen SomeCompany’s new ThingyApp tool, will at least be presented with something which has a basic familiarity. A conforming design will behave in much the same way as other applications. The minimise button will be where it always is; there will be a File menu, perhaps a tool-bar, et cetera.

What we as designers gain from this is a greater consistency with the ecosystem of other applications. We also benefit from the re-use of common components and frameworks, which are probably more stable and better tested than anything we could come up with ourselves, if truth be told. A common UI is, then, a starter-for-ten which enables us to concentrate on the functionality without getting bogged down too much in how we’re going to let you control that functionality.

The drawback to conformity is of course that everything tends towards… well, bleh. ‘Bleh?’ I hear you say? Unashamedly non-technical, it’s our instinctive reaction to the ordinary, the familiar, the taken-for-granted – dare I say it, the dull.

If you want to make a big impression with your software, it has to stand-out in a good way. Maybe this can be achieved by solving some hitherto difficult task, or by improving radically on something that already exists, or perhaps by doing things in a novel way.

Individual design tends towards this ‘doing things in a novel way’ approach. Rather than be constrained with the common UI, the designer can really go to town on a design. No longer bound by convention, then, the outcome is completely at the hands of the designer.

And this is where it typically falls down.

You see, many designers want to express their individuality into their designs. Especially in web development (whose actual content doesn’t have a common UI as such, beyond standard html controls and the typical page lifecycle). Flash has a lot to answer for here. Many potentially great website ideas have been compromised by the use of bad Flash design. Slow, confusing, overly graphical and exclusive (in the sense that they exclude people who might have no choice but to surf using assistive technology, for example the Jaws screen-reader).

The difficulty is that deviating from well-worn path of convention is a real risk to the usability and accessibility of a design. Whilst it’s possible that a designer might come up with something which improves upon convention, it’s far more likely that what is designed will fail. A radical design may well please a small proportion of its user-base, but by messing with the accepted norms, it will doubtless alienate or at best confuse a significant number of its users also.

So, where does this leave us? Well, the point of this article was to weigh up ‘individual’ versus ‘conforming’ designs, and the short answer is that we can’t really rule on either. After all, designs exist for a reason, and that reason is to facilitate the use of the thing for which the design was created. An individual design may well achieve this goal better than a conforming design – we can’t really judge this on a hypothetical basis. What we can do, however, is look at human nature and suggest that anything which challenges our understanding of how to interact with a system, or forces us to leave our ‘comfort zone’, is likely to require greater effort than a design which plays to our existing understanding and experience in interacting with a system. Where greater effort is required, we are more likely to make mistakes. With mistakes come frustration, and frustration quickly turns into dislike and abandonment.

The designer should bear all of this in mind before she departs from the ‘standard designs’, and have good reason for doing so. If she does take this route, then it places a far greater responsibility on her to ensure that her design works, and justifies its ‘individual’ nature. There are many techniques which might be used to do this – requirements prototyping being one of the best choices – but at the end of the day a radical design is a challenging proposition and carries increased risk.

We don’t like unnecessary risk. We can either mitigate it, with careful feedback using prototypes, or avoid it, by sticking to tried-and-tested ‘conforming’ designs. What we mustn’t do, however, is bury our heads in the sand and hope it all works out…

The only real downer is that there is no good iPhone app that syncs with Google Tasks – but seeing as I will probably ditch my current phone (iPhone 3G) for an Android phone next year, I’m not too worried.
