For some reason stripes have been so inspirational to me lately. It might have to do with the fact that as soon as I started buying my own clothing I was immediately attracted to shirts with stripes. Obviously my mother who in her early 20s did a few semesters at FIT and was a textile major told me after about two consecutive weeks during which I insisted upon wearing my new striped shirts 5 days in each that horizontal stripes are an optical illusion which make you look wider.

No sane middle school girl would ever make a fashion choice in which she consciously wore something that would make her appear “wider”, and so I have ditched my horizontal stripes. However I still cant help but to gravitate toward these vertical stripes in this lovely sun room/ sitting room the pastels and exposed wood beams are very whimsical and almost remind me of a feminine circus tent.

Also noted in this space the outdoor patio set that has been reinitialized and used as indoor furniture!
