<p>In simple terms, reputations are usually earned over a significant time period, based on the delivery of promises and the constant re-inforcement and maintenance of said promises. The promises could be services, goods, facilities or all manner of things.</p>
<p>Reputations help brands become trusted; no matter what your personal view is, McDonalds and Coca~Cola have world renowned brands based on their reputation for delivering consistency. No matter where you consume a Big Mac or a glass of Coke in the world, it&#8217;s the same. You know what you&#8217;re going to get before you get it. There may be some regional variations to accommodate local tastes but the quality is always there.</p>
<p>Reputations exist in the intranet world too. I could give you ten examples of companies who excel at specific aspects of intranet delivery. Their reputations precede them in these aspects and when I want to find out more about how to improve the things that my organisation is focussing on, I approach an organisation who&#8217;s reputation goes before them.</p>
<p>But how are reputations gained in the first place within the intranet business? Some are earned through winning some award or other, whilst others seem to be merely smokescreens for the reality. Word of mouth has a lot to do with it, and if the tale is told often enough it will become fact.</p>
<p>I know of an organisation who has a reputation for being the leaders in one particular aspect of the intranet industry, but the reality is far different. The reputation was earned by two major factors;</p>
<p>1. identify emerging technology and introduce it because you can, with little regard to how it would be managed, supported, paid for or how it fits into any strategic approach. Play with the gadgets and by sheer will of the crowd they become an essential part of the business.</p>
<p>2. continually perpetuate the fallacy that because the organisation is &#8220;creative&#8221; then it&#8217;s ok to continue to do things independently of any other part of the business; just because you can. Then tell everyone and anyone who will listen, about this wonderful new gizmo that&#8217;s been around for ages on the internet and how great your organisation is by bringing it in house because it&#8217;s &#8220;just what the business needs.&#8221; This view is usually driven by personal interest.</p>
<p>Bingo! Reputation is formed. Other companies constantly pat you on the back and tell you how good you are and how lucky the organisation is to have such a forward thinking Intranet manager.</p>
<p>Then of course, you clear off to another company or go freelance and jet around the world esposing your innovative and maverick ways to the highest bidder and leave someone else to try and unpick the mess that has evolved around you. The poor soul who&#8217;s left has to then integrate, or rationalise, many disparate systems that don&#8217;t work together or talk to each other. Whilst also having to negotiate with the business to remove little used toys, that have now become the lifeblood of one small bunch of users, who would rather fight you on the beaches than give up their right to using something &#8220;you gave us in the first place.&#8221;</p>
<p>The same individual also has to produce numerous business cases to gain budget (because business users won&#8217;t stump up the cash) to pay third party suppliers for licences and ongoing support, which in the long term far outweighs any initial preconceived business benefits. Inevitably the more budget that&#8217;s used for exisiting technical solutions means less available for any new stuff. </p>
<p>But that&#8217;s ok. Because your reputation goes before you. </p>
<p>And for those who still work for the company, you can take reflected glory in the reputation that you&#8217;re part of a forward thinking organisation. It takes years before reputations are tarnished or lost; no matter the reality.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m moving on from my current job, taking a break before starting a new role in January.</p>
<p>This is my final day, so after the frantic period of activity running up to this week&#8217;s staff awards event I&#8217;ve settled down to write my handover notes.</p>
<p>Distilling two years&#8217; work into a few pages is proving quite difficult. What&#8217;s struck me most is the frequency with which I&#8217;ve suggested my replacement &#8220;speak to so-and-so&#8221; to get a particular task done.</p>
<p>My email account will be closed and eventually deleted after I leave. That means the many detailed, lengthy and sometimes just plain weird discussions I&#8217;ve had with colleagues will vanish into the ether, just as the results of face-to-face conversations I&#8217;ve had will leave when I do.</p>
<p>This all underscores the value of human memory. I had no handover notes at all when I started here, so learning how to get even simple tasks done was a long and complicated process.</p>
<p>As people leave their employers they take with them detailed knowledge of people and processes, built up over years or even decades. While replacement staff may be easier to find in the current job market, their knowledge of the organisation will take much longer to develop.</p>
<p>Employers, as well as new employees, would benefit from finding improved ways to capture this organisational memory.</p>
<p>Internal social networking can enable that inter-generational transfer of knowledge between new employees and old-timers.</p>
<p>It needn&#8217;t be technologically complex, though. At an event I attended earlier this year, <a href="http://www.euansemple.com">Euan Semple</a> spoke about talk.gateway, the bulletin board he introduced at the BBC.</p>
<blockquote><p>“Staff members shared more information outside the organisation and with people in other countries than they did with each other. We had to give them an infrastructure or mechanism to talk to each other online,” he says. “I wanted to introduce social computing tools on the intranet and started with a bulletin board.”</p></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://www.ikmagazine.com/xq/asp/sid.0/articleid.953FA3AF-22BC-4B48-86F2-E76FAEAFFAC6/eTitle.Through_the_Gateway_A_collaborative_intranet_tool_for_the_BBC/qx/display.htm">talk.gateway</a> allowed staff to ask questions, find solutions and connect with each other. Crucially, though, it&#8217;s archived and searchable, which means discussions can be viewed even after the people involved in it have moved on.</p>
<p>More and more organisations are introducing internal Facebook-style social networking, including some in the public sector. Carl Haggerty&#8217;s <a href="http://carlhaggerty.wordpress.com/2009/06/24/thoughts-on-internal-social-networking-localgovcamp/">innovative internal social networking pilot in Devon Country Council</a> led to a sharp decrease in helpdesk calls, as employees solve problems by using each other&#8217;s knowledge.</p>
<p>Networks like this also enable newer employees to ask questions of and learn from longer-serving ones, helping people settle in and get up to speed with the job.</p>
<p>My (as yet unappointed) successor will have to make do with twelve pages detailing my key processes and projects. I wish them well, and look forward to the next challenge &#8211; watch this space!</p>

<title><![CDATA[Lessons from Launching and Reviewing an Internal Leadership Blog]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>After over a year, the leadership blog (internal corporate blog) aimed at employees is gaining momentum at my organization. I wanted to share insights on how we began, progress we made and personal learning. In case you are planning to champion a blog in your organization (training, business, engagement, CSR among others), I hope these insights give you information you can use.</p>
<p>The blog (hosted on the company intranet) was initially created as a channel for the CEO to post messages and interact with employees. The company went through organizational changes and to suit the inclusive style of the new leader the blog was expanded to allow a pool of writers to contribute. The leadership team took turns to pen their thoughts on how they perceived the company through their own eyes.</p>

<p>The ‘leader’ blog was an attempt to capitalize on ‘personality’ within organization, open a new channel of communication and provide an opportunity to &#8220;be real&#8221; and allow interactions. We expected to measure the impact of this exercise through direct comments from readers, fruitful conversations, ‘good will’ and increased engagement.</p>
<p>The posts range from the leaders’ business interactions to the team’s charter, from a personal account of the <a href="http://in.news.yahoo.com/248/20091124/1582/tnl-post-26-11-is-india-safer.html">Mumbai 26/11 attacks</a> to the company’s employee volunteering initiatives. The leadership was provided access to manage the blog in a DIY (do it yourself) model with  e-mail communication templates  to use after the posts went live.</p>
<p>The blog gets promoted in a roll-up newsletter, in Town Hall sessions and team meetings. The blog was measured by the readership, the feedback posted and the quality of the conversations. When I created a business case for blogging internally, I leveraged this interesting blogging success formula from <a href="http://insidethecubicle.blogs.com/blog/internal_comms/index.html">Inside the Cubicle</a>: “<em>Personal voice + Accessibility + Relevant and timely information = Employee Engagement.”</em></p>
<p>In my role as the internal communications consultant I sow ideas on blog topics and relevant themes. Also my responsibility is to review the blog draft for consistency, language, redundancy, accuracy, company verbiage and opportunity to recognize employees. That apart, I look for avenues to build a conversation, address people concerns, manage the tone of voice, add context to the current environment, link to other company updates and help improve the human connection. I believe that the personal ‘touch’ occurs only when it is penned by the leader and not ‘ghost’ written.</p>
<p><strong>Overcoming resistance to blogging:</strong> Often leaders shy away from blogging because they think it may ‘give away’ their true self. It was a struggle initially to get leaders to understand the benefits of blogging not just to be seen as friendly and approachable but also to be known as personalities or mentors people could look up to. Often I hear the comment that employees know me already, why do I need to blog?</p>
<p><strong>Verbiage and small things that matter:</strong> In a post the leader drafted a message on a recent ‘offsite’ where the team ‘had fun’. I had to step back and understand the context. Finally we edited it to make it read more appropriate ‘also had fun’. Though I would have preferred to use the phrase ‘team huddle’ instead of &#8216;offsite&#8217;, we let it be since we wanted to be direct and honest in our communication. During a recession, having an offsite when all funds are scrutinized can be perceived differently by your employees.</p>
<p><strong>Your readers are discerning:</strong> One leader had begun his post mentioning ‘I am a facilitator of our induction program’ while he was in fact ‘one of the facilitators’. To readers, the leader would have come across as pompous though he did not mean it that way.</p>
<p><strong>Demonstrate that blogging is easy: </strong>Most leaders want to know how the blogs notes evolve. I usually share work in progress drafts and inputs which I provide to enhance the notes. This aids other leaders to begin thinking in a certain direction on how to pen their own posts. I reference external blogs that are well written to stimulate their thinking as well.</p>
<p><strong>Promote the blog often:</strong> I highlight the importance of the blog and employee engagement during workshops and team meetings. I try to find visible spots for the blog in the company newsletter and on the intranet. It is a widely recognized channel for interaction today in the organization.</p>
<p><strong>Taking feedback seriously:</strong> As soon as we discovered a theme emerging from the comments posted, a discussion between the leadership and the internal communication team led to a concrete action plan. The feedback providers were intimated and the progress shared proactively.</p>
<p>In the long run, we are hoping to reduce e-mail communication and have the blog as a preferred mode of communication.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Sharepoint wird von Firmen und Organisationen meist nur für interne Benutzer im Intranet genutzt. Mitarbeiter sind dabei auch als Mitglieder im Sharepoint Portal registriert und haben Zugriff auf Inhalte und Funktionen für die sie zugelassen sind. Anfänger machen dabei meist den Fehler dass sie sehr viele Websites und Arbeitsbereiche  anlegen und die Zulassung individuell regeln. In kürzester Zeit entsteht dabei ein Verhau von Sicherheitszonen, deren Organisation den Benutzern kaum mehr vermittelt werden kann. Das führt zu Frust bei den Benutzern auch wenn Benutzer in Sharepoint die Teilnahme zu verschiedenen Websites des Sharepointportals individuell beantragen können. Grundsätzlich sollte man einige wenige Gruppen (&#60; 10) für Benutzer bilden und die Berechtigungen immer an die Gruppen und nicht an einzelne Teilnehmer vergeben.   Es empfiehlt sich ebenfalls die Zahl der Websites möglichst zu begrenzen. Es empfiehlt sich, in einer allgemein zugänglichen Übersichts -/Organisations Websites die Organisation des Sharepoint Portals mit Workspaces, Gruppen und Berechtigungen zu dokumentieren, damit Portalmitglieder wissen wo Informationen zu finden sind und welche Zugangsberechtigung vergeben werden.In Sharepoint kann man auch Berechtigungen u.a. für Listen und Dokumentenbibliotheken indivuell vergeben. Das sollte man aber auf ein absolutes Minimum begrenzen z.B. für Basisdaten, die im gesamten Portal verwendet werden.</p>
<p>Leider gibt es in Sharepoint keine Funktion, die es einem Teilnehmer erlaubt zu prüfen, welchen Gruppen er angehört. Hier hilft nur experimentelle Datenverarbeitung um herauszufinden für welche Bereiche im Portal und für welche Funktion man zugelassen ist. Man kann natürlich auch den Administrator fragen &#8211; aber auch für diesen steht keine vernünftige Funktion zur Verfügung und die Begeisterung des Administrators wird sich bei vielen Anfragen wohl in Grenzen halten..</p>
<p>Im Sharepoint ist es sehr einfach möglich, Anonymen Benutzern (im Internet) Zugriff als Leser oder Teilnehmer (kann Daten eingeben) auf Websites zu geben und kann damit die interne Organisation auf Kunden und Partner ausdehnen &#8211; das spart wirklich viel Arbeit und Geld wenn die Benutzer wissen wie man damit umgeht. Voraussetzung ist dabei aber immer, dass der Sharepoint Server in einer professinellen Netzwerkumgebung betrieben wird, damit der Zugriff von Externen auf die Firmendaten verhindert wird. Viele kleiner Firmen sind da aber überfordert. Eine recht elegante Lösung hierfür ist es, einen Sharepoint Server bei einem externen Service Provider zu nutzen. Man muss dann zwar die für die Öffentlichkeit oder externe Partner vorgesehene Daten vom internen Sharepoint Server auf den externen Sharepoint Server verschieben, hat dann aber eine hohe Sicherheit, dass interne Daten nicht versehentlich auf dem externen Server landen. Ich empfehle ein ähnliches Vorgehen auch bei Intra/Extra Sharepoint Servern. Mitarbeiter, die für die Freigabe von Daten zuständig sind, bekommen einen zweiten User ID für die externen Workspaces. Damit wird eine versehentliche Freigabe von internen Daten verhindert. Zur Erleichterung der Freigabe kann man in Sharepoint ja einen Workflow einrichten.</p>
<p>Ich halte eine solche recht umständliche Organisation bei Sharepoint für notwendig, da die Sicherheitsstruktur und die Vergabe von Rechten für die Benutzer nicht einsichtig sind und deshalb sehr schnell zu Problemen beim Datenschutz führen. Regelmäßig sollte die Sicherheitsinfrastruktur des Sharepoint Servers aber auch die Berechtigungen der Admistratoren und ihre Aktionen überprüft werden. Sharepoint bietet hierfür eine Reihe von Logging. und Berichtsfunktionen.</p>

<p>Linden Lab recently announced the creation of their new <a href="http://secondlife.com/whatis/"><span style="color:#000080;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Second Life</span></span></a> Enterprise Beta (SLE), a $55,000 hardware appliance that enterprises can have installed into their data centers within about 30 minutes. The product gives corporate clients the look and feel of working within an immersive environment combined with the security and control a standard intranet provides behind a corporate firewall. Since the product is stand alone and completely disconnect from Second Life&#8217;s main grid it provides all of the depth and creativity of working within a Second Life world (or “prim”) without the security concerns; so sensitive information is always protected.</p>
<p>The high price tag (the basic cost doesn&#8217;t include any bells and whistles like customized avatars or corporate branding) may have some CFO&#8217;s scratching their heads; yet with the continued spike in travel expenses plus wasted hours in the air, the ability to host detail-rich conferences between clients and staff from anywhere around the world from a central Enterprise hub has CEO&#8217;s taking a second look at this dynamic, virtual tool.</p>
<p>Conference calls will be replaced by detail-rich, online collaboration where participants can interact via their avatars and use chat or voice to workshare, discuss presentations and team build. SLE comes standard with great features such as Quicktime video streaming, 3 standard collaboration tools and the ability to support 800 concurrent users at any given time.</p>
<p>Companies like <a href="http://www.me-interactive.com/"><span style="color:#000080;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">me-Interactive</span></span><span style="color:#000080;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><sup>TM,</sup></span></span></a> an interactive agency specializing in online development and branding, are working to bring even more customized Enterprise collaborative tools to the standard package. me-Interactive President, Steve Haak, is pleased with SLE&#8217;s dynamic design. “The companies we&#8217;ve been talking with that want SLE are blown away with what we&#8217;re now able to offer. Before the thought of building from scratch in SL was just too much for most of them to consider and it didn&#8217;t always make sense if you weren&#8217;t selling a product that required heavy brand strategy and marketing. Now they can see the use for SLE to help reduce their internal costs by saving time, money and finding out if it can co-exist with their pre-existing Enterprise resources. It&#8217;s also a great stepping stone towards launching brands on Second Life&#8217;s main grid”.<span style="font-size:medium;"><strong></p>

<p>Until now most corporations have had to lock out access to any form of social networking from work but SLE finally gives companies the chance to capitalize on the inherent nature of it&#8217;s employees desire to socialize. Meeting around the “water cooler” will take on new meaning as customized avatars bring employees closer together within SLE&#8217;s common areas while allowing departments to interact on a deeper level. <p>Eptisa mostró su solución de búsqueda empresarial <em>Eptisa Enterprise Search Solution, </em>que combina Sharepoint con la tecnología de búsqueda FAST. En la presentación, que contó con numeroso público, se mostraron casos de éxito en Administración Pública, Medios de Comunicación, Servicios Financieros y Energía.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>The changing demographics in the workplace (brain drain) and heighted focus on worker efficiency is bringing the corporate intranet into the spotlight.<br />
From my trusted sources comes a few tales of how companies are breaking down the borders between internal and external communications, along with attaching the ROI to such. Lastly, trends to look out for.</p>
<p>Sun: Realizing the intranet of the future</p>
<p>Known as Project 90/10, Sun is turning over ownership of the intranet to employees (that&#8217;s the 90 percent) instead of corporate communications (which will become the 10 percent). The intranet, they say, will become an aggregation point like a Netvibes or iGoogle page on the Web. The borders between internal and external are coming down too: Employees will be able to aggregate external content such as Facebook alongside internal content such as corporate news.</p>
<p>For Sun, it&#8217;s all about orienting the intranet toward the employee of the future. &#8220;The type of employee we&#8217;ll be seeing in five years, and are already seeing a lot of today, will be very familiar with social tools. They will want to get corporate news but also to share and play, to have fun and connect,&#8221; says McKenzie. Social media are at the heart of this vision, but where most companies struggle to come up with meaningful measures of ROI, Sun is introducing the Community Equity tool. This tracks both the level of participation and the value of contributions by employees. &#8220;It will be a powerful tool for us,&#8221; he adds. &#8220;For example, as a manager deciding who to promote, I can see who is contributing and participating.<br />
Nissan: Democratizing communication</p>
<p>At Nissan, the intranet is a central hub providing employees with access to the information and tools to do their jobs-from workflow and processes to project management and virtual meetings. The vision for Nissan&#8217;s intranet is straightforward: to enable employees to connect and engage in a dialogue. &#8220;I think that without the intranet it would be almost impossible to run the organization,&#8221; says Simon Sproule, corporate vice president of global communication.</p>
<p>Nissan&#8217;s internal social network, N-Square, is bringing fundamental changes to the way of working at Nissan by breaking down hierarchical, functional and regional barriers. Interactions that would not have happened previously-such as dialogue between senior executives and employees, or across functions&#8211;are now happening in a way that employees are comfortable with and find convenient.</p>
<p>&#8220;In the same way that you may watch the inauguration of Obama on CNN and then go and visit other news sites and blogs to get a different perspective, so internal communications needs to become a trusted brand within the company,&#8221; says Sproule. He sees the internal communication brand, N-Com, not as being in competition with the democratized dissemination of information via employee blogs and profiles, but as adding value by providing a timely, relevant and trusted news service.<br />
The Global Intranet Trends for 2010 report is subtitled ‘Towards the workplace web’. This phrase reflects what is happening today in intranets around the world as organizations are positioning the intranet as the entry point into the organization’s ensemble of information, applications, collaboration and communication tools.<br />
More key stakeholders getting involved</p>
<p>The intranet is starting to be “business as usual” and thereby involving more high-level stakeholders in the organization. The ownership model is slowly moving away from the single owner model (usually communication). Forty percent of the organizations do still have this model but another 30 percent have a co-owner model where two or three functions share ownership.</p>
<p>The third model, which is cross-organizational with all major functions and divisions represented, exists in 15 percent. Although used less than the first two models, it is more often found in organizations with mature intranets<br />
Senior management increasing involvement</p>
<p>Approximately one third of the organizations have a high-level intranet Steering Committee. The senior level presence on this body has increased over the last year reaching 60 percent, with middle management and operational management decreasing slightly. This trend has continued since 2007 when the senior level presence was around 35 percent.<br />
The individual voice emerging</p>
<p>There are a number of indicators showing that the employee voice is being given some room in the intranet. Two examples:</p>
<p>“Commenting on official content” such as letting employees publish comments and questions about articles written by management is “in general use” in 20 percent of the organizations. Another 20 percent are testing it or have it “in some parts” of their organization.</p>
<p>Internal social network applications (similar to Facebook or Linkedin) are not often found to be “in general use throughout the organization”. However they are likely to increase as 30 percent of the organizations are currently testing or “using in some parts”.<br />
Social media benefits appearing</p>
<p>Twenty-five to 30 percent of organizations that have already implemented some form of social media have experienced 3 general benefits: increased employee engagement, more effective knowledge sharing, and better-informed employees. Stories “from the front lines” are shared in the report.<br />
Some measurement<br />
A few organizations have begun to measure the impact of social media and although the examples are rare in number, they provide insight on how the pioneers are making social media part of business as usual.<br />
Social media concerns shifting</p>
<p>Concerns are changing as organizations gain experience. Doubts are considerably lower about the relevance of social media to business needs, senior management hesitancy and employees wasting their time. At the same time there is a higher degree of concern about two things: the difficulty of finding information and potential user resistance.<br />
Hype and risks of disillusionment</p>
<p>Organizations in the planning stages for social media usage have very high expectations for benefits. Their expectations are far greater than what the “implementers” have seen so far. There seems to be a potential risk of disappointment.<br />
Intranets in real-time<br />
Technologies such as presence indicators, instant messaging and web conferencing are found more frequently the more mature intranets. Some organizations feel they have reached a level of &#8220;optimization&#8221; for certain real-time technologies.<br />
Intranets being extended to where the people are</p>
<p>Intranets are leaving the workplace, or rather the workplace is being extended to where the people are. People do not need to be in the office in front of a computer to be able to use the intranet. Home access is possible in over one third of the organizations and smart phone access is just starting.</p>
<p>Some intranets have services for smart phones today, but the vast majority do not. However, twenty-five percent of the organizations in the survey say they are in the planning stages of making the intranet accessible through smart phones and PDAs.<br />

All signs are pointing to the intranet as being a critical hub in the dialogue, as opposed to a repository of dated information and downloadable forms. The opportunity for branding and alignment of business strategy with human capital presents a myriad of ways we can make an sustainable impact in 2010.</p>

<p>J&#8217;étais cette semaine aux rencontres internationales des responsables intranet, ça <a href="http://raydacteur.wordpress.com/2009/10/05/rencontres-des-responsables-intranet-et-leweb09/" target="_blank">vous le saviez</a>. Ceux qui me suivent sur Twitter (<a href="http://twitter.com/Raydacteur" target="_blank">@Raydacteur</a>) savent aussi que j&#8217;en ai profité pour tenter une première, ou une deuxième. Bref , j&#8217;ai essayé de faire partager ces rencontres au travers d&#8217;un &#8216;livetweet&#8217;, dont le nom de code était #riri09.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Família (em linguagem de computador)]]></title>

Fiz algumas adaptações para torná-la impessoal. Alguns termos já estão superados por programas mais atuais, mas creio ser interessante publicar este texto, pois poderá abençoar outras vidas também.” </em></p>
<p>Temos presenciado muitas pessoas transmitirem um semblante de alegria, porém, interiormente, estão vivenciando uma situação bastante delicada na questão familiar; muitos estão desnorteados, sem rumo e até mesmo sem saber que caminho tomar.</p>
<p>No princípio daquele curso para facilitar o aprendizado dos termos técnicos de hardware, foi feita uma comparação do nosso corpo como sendo a placa mãe e nosso cérebro a CPU. Assim, entendemos que somos seres, criados de uma forma muito especial, pois não existe no mundo inteiro dois seres humanos iguais. Por conta disso, precisamos processar nossos relacionamentos sociais de forma interativa, trocando arquivos de todos os tipos de extensões.</p>
<p>Podemos considerar que essa interatividade entre nós, seres humanos, feita de forma consciente ou até mesmo inconsciente, quando em família, seria uma LAN, no meio social no qual estamos inseridos, uma Intranet; já com a população global, uma Internet.</p>
<p>Nessas conexões ininterruptas acabamos nos tornando vulneráveis, porque somos frequentemente bombardeados por vírus cada vez mais sofisticados. Existem alguns ambientes de trabalho bastante propícios para a invasão de HACKERS, com os vírus SMART, interessados principalmente em apenas infectar os menos avisados e consequentemente suas LANs (família). Quando atingem seus objetivos, apenas se vangloriam com isso.</p>
<p>Aqueles que trabalham mais diretamente na área de informática, podem compreender melhor do que eu, sobre a mutabilidade desse tipo de vírus que, uma vez dentro do nosso corpo, acabam comprometendo nossa personalidade, nossa auto-estima e até mesmo nosso senso de humor.</p>
<p>Quando nos damos conta de que já fomos infectados, a maior angustia que enfrentamos é a impossibilidade de nos desconectarmos da rede, para evitar que os computadores da nossa LAN também sejam contaminados. Além disso, ainda temos que manter nosso GABINETE MENTOR(corpo) com uma aparência agradável, até que encontremos a vacina correspondente para exterminar completamente o tal vírus; isto sem que alguém venha perceber que, o que ocorreu, tenha sido por displicência nossa.</p>
<p>Enquanto isso, lentamente, vamos perdendo a vontade de viver, nos isolando de tudo e de todos, e acabamos apenas cumprindo nossas obrigações profissionais. Não porque elas nos promovam alguma satisfação, mas sim porque são imprescindíveis para nossa sobrevivência.</p>
<p>Acabamos esquecendo de nós mesmos, nos anulamos e passamos a viver apenas de aparências para agradar aos outros; tudo isso por falta de tempo para fazermos uma frequente manutenção em nosso HD. Se não fizermos, pelo menos semanalmente um SCANDISK e uma DESFRAGMENTAÇÃO em nosso drive C:, estaremos diminuindo nosso tempo de vida útil.</p>
<p>Surgem várias interrogações&#8230; &#8220;quando fazer essa manutenção?&#8221;&#8230; não temos tempo para isso; &#8220;quem faria essa manutenção?&#8221;.. nós mesmos não seríamos as pessoas indicadas, principalmente se já estivermos infectados. A única solução seria podermos contar com um  Administrador; sim, esse seria o caminho mais sensato: nos colocarmos à disposição de alguém que fosse de nossa extrema confiança para fazer constantemente essa manutenção dentro de nossas vidas e de nossas LANs.</p>
<p>Quem, melhor do que Aquele que nos criou, para ser o Administrador da nossa LAN? Com certeza Ele abrirá nosso Gabinete Mentor com muito cuidado e, por conhecer a senha de todos os componentes internos, poderá acessar e fazer uma varredura completa: exterminar os vírus, corrigir os erros e restaurar os arquivos originais de nossa personalidade; feito isso, tudo voltará a funcionar perfeitamente, e nossos relacionamentos dentro de nossa LAN poderão ser mais abertos.</p>

<p>Será que esse Administrador nos criaria de uma forma tão complexa e especial, nos conectaria a uma LAN e também a uma rede mundial, sem qualquer objetivo mais sublime?!!! Será que Ele sendo conhecedor dessa senha de acesso para nos inicializar todas as manhãs quando acordamos, ficaria apenas assistindo impassivelmente nossos sofrimentos e desilusões, até chegarmos a uma pane total, onde a única solução seria a troca do nosso HD?!!!</p>
<p>Quando começamos a raciocinar sobre nossa situação, chegamos até a pensar: como Ele poderá restaurar nossa personalidade original? Será que esse Administrador que nos criou, se lembrou de fazer um BACKUP de todos os arquivos que foram sendo registrados em nossa CPU? Mesmo aqueles recebidos ao longo de nossas vidas, aqueles de extensão &#8220;.pps&#8221;, que teimavam em nos fazer vizualisá-los do começo ao fim, mas que sempre nos davam um novo ânimo para que continuássemos conectados à rede?</p>
<p>Se você estiver enfrentando uma situação como esta, saiba que é o momento de parar e refletir, quando é que o primeiro vírus contaminou sua vida e acabou deixando marcas de mágoas, ressentimentos, tristezas, desespero e até mesmo solidão.</p>
<p>Fale com o Administrador que te criou e permita que Ele faça, a partir de então, manutenções periódicas em você. Com certeza Ele irá restaurar sua personalidade original e exterminará todos os vírus que te infectaram, para que você possa ser novamente conectado, de forma sadia à sua rede local. Ele também exterminará o sentimento de culpa que possa estar te corroendo, devido à consciência de estar infectado sem poder se desconectar de sua LAN.</p>
<p>Você pode até ter chegado a pensar que não haveria mais restauração para o seu caso. Mas eu te aconselho que você pergunte para seu Administrador, pois ninguém melhor do que Ele, para lhe dizer a verdade, seja ela qual for.</p>
<p><em>&#8220;Aquele que fez o ouvido, não ouvirá? E o que formou o olho, não verá? E o que dá ao homem o conhecimento, não saberá?&#8221; (Salmo, 94:9-10).</em></p>
<p>Coloque-se à disposição do Administrador de nossas vidas, o Deus Criador e pare de fugir de você mesmo; levante a cabeça e lembre-se sempre, que você também foi criado de forma especial, para proporcionar grandes benefícios à rede que já estava constituída quando você chegou a este mundo.</p>
<p>Fale com seu Administrador. Depois de restaurá-lo, Ele te indicará se o melhor caminho é você se reconectar à sua LAN ou ser conectado a uma nova LAN. Seguindo suas orientações, creio que tudo será resolvido pacificamente. Lembre-se de que nenhum ser humano consegue viver desconectado da sociedade, pois foi para isso que fomos criados; para trocarmos arquivos sadios, e juntos, construirmos um mundo melhor.</p>

A empresa foi a vencedora nas categorias “Conteúdo” e “Grand Prix &#8211; Empresa Pública/Terceiro Setor”. Promovido pelo Instituto Intranet Portal e pelo Senac-SP, nos dias 12 e 13 de novembro, no Centro de Convenções do Centro Universitário Senac (campus Santo Amaro), em São Paulo, o evento de premiação, um dos mais importantes da área no mundo corporativo brasileiro, tem o objetivo de disseminar boas práticas de gestão de intranet e portais corporativos,</p>
<p>A entrega dos troféus foi realizada na quinta-feira (12). Após a cerimônia de premiação, a Eletrobrás apresentou o estudo de caso detalhado sobre a sua intranet (foto), desenvolvida em parceria pelo Departamento de Tecnologia da Informação e pela Assessoria de Comunicação.</p>
<p>Na sexta-feira (13), no segundo dia do evento, a Eletrobrás fez uma apresentação focada no conteúdo e na gestão de informação da sua intranet. Os demais vencedores do prêmio foram o banco Itaú (na categoria “Integração em TI”) e a empresa de prestação de serviços de consultoria e soluções tecnológicas Documentar (nas categorias “Colaboração” e “Grand Prix &#8211; Empresa Privada”).</p>
<p>Segundo o presidente do Instituto Intranet Portal, Ricardo Saldanha, em 2009 a premiação teve um acréscimo de 50% no número de empresas participantes. “Estamos muito satisfeitos com os resultados desta edição. Em relação ao ano passado, houve melhora na média das notas em todos os quesitos, o que mostra um amadurecimento do mercado”, analisou Saldanha.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Has anyone seen the new free accessibility tool on the <a title="WAVE" href="http://wave.webaim.org/" target="_blank">WAVE site</a>?  I thought you might be interested in knowing there is a simple to use and visual tool out there compared with other tools that tend to be a bit ‘techie’ in their results.</p>
<p>WAVE is a free web accessibility evaluation tool provided by <a title="Webaim" href="http://webaim.org/" target="_blank">WebAIM</a>. It is used to aid people in the web accessibility evaluation process.  Rather than providing a complex technical report, WAVE shows the original web page with embedded icons and indicators that reveal the accessibility of that page.</p>
<p>Even better from an intranet perspective, the WAVE Firefox toolbar allows you to evaluate web pages directly within your browser.  Because no information is sent to the WAVE servers, the toolbar allows you to evaluate password protected, secure, or otherwise sensitive web content.  The WAVE toolbar evaluates content as it is rendered within Firefox.  This allows dynamically created, modified, or scripted content to be evaluated in real time.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>So much of what we read as employees follows a standard format and includes stock phrases and meaningless jargon. We build up a similar level of immunity to this kind of content as we do to web adverts. Our eyes skim across it without taking in any of the meaning &#8211; assuming there is some meaning behind it in the first place.</p>
<p>I recently had to send out a request to fellow employees to fill in our twice-yearly customer satisfaction survey. I started writing the standard invite text and then stopped and decided to rip it up and start again. I wondered how I could make this stand out for people and carry some meaning. So I started again &#8230; below is what I sent out.</p>
<p>Amazingly, I had a number of people e-mail me back saying what a pleasure it was to receive this e-mail and how it made their day. The response rate to the survey itself was nearly 40% &#8230; staggeringly high for internal surveys of this nature.</p>
<p>As communicators, we all know that we could write in a more engaging style and take that little bit longer to think about how the stuff we send out will be received &#8230; the problem is, we rarely do anything about it. Ici, je vais me concentrer sur des retours concrets de déploiements en Entreprise. Pour ceux qui vivent actuellement ce même changement dans leur organisation, j&#8217;attends vos feedbacks avec impatience! Ce que vous allez trouver ci-dessous est une représentation très macro de <strong>l&#8217;adhésion de 2000 créatifs internes à un forum lancé en 2007</strong>. Vos équipes support IT ou KM doivent se concentrer sur ces différents aspects pour mesurer les premiers signes de collaboration 2.0 auprès de vos employés. Soyez proches de vos communautés, rien ne démarre avec un système à lui seul.</p>

<p>La première partie du graphique représente les bases indispensables qui doivent fonctionner pour tous les métiers qui y participent. Inutile de passer à une vision sociale si vos gens ne sont pas passés en mode lecture/réaction avec le coeur de votre outil. Pour passer véritablement au deuxième segment, il vous faudra du community management (<strong>15% de mon temps actuellement</strong>) pour booster votre levier social et ainsi se comporter comme vecteur d&#8217;une communication &#8220;<strong>many-to-many</strong>&#8220;. Les mandats de cette ressource se concentrent sur la facilitation à établir des connexions entre employés et à ne JAMAIS laisser un message sans réponse. Les actions à prendre au sein d&#8217;un processus d&#8217;affaires interviendront dans un second temps, lorsque que la communauté sera autonome et non pilotée!</p>
<p>Si la phase 1 est bien consolidée, vous atteindrez un<strong> 20 à 30% d&#8217;augmentation en terme de collaboration</strong>, sans aucune communication &#8211; laissez le charme et le buzz agir. On laisse trop souvent le forum de côté, alors que c&#8217;est la véritable première pierre à poser en organisation. Plusieurs pistes si vous êtes intéressés à lancer ce genre d&#8217;initiative:</p>

<li><em>Comparer les solutions existantes pour bien l&#8217;intégrer dans votre écosystème: <a href="http://www.forummatrix.org/" target="_blank">ForumMatrix</a>.</em></li>
<li><em>Analyser le type de support offert par la compagnie, une expertise dans la gestion de communautés actives est un plus. Ils savent de quoi ils parlent.</em></li>
</ol>
<p>Notre choix était de partir sur un modèle low-cost tout en ayant une richesse d&#8217;administration nous permettant de moduler facilement les besoins internes.</p>
