Tortured Soul is music that will move you. It’s a new concept in the world of house music: it’s live. Tortured Soul was conceived in May 2001 by drummer, singer, and songwriter Christian Urich – known in world of house and R&B as founder and leader of the band Cooly’s Hot Box. Is used to study how write a go sentences. We can decribing the structure of phrases and sentences which account for all of the grammatical seguences and rule all the un grammatical sequences.

Types of grammar

The mental grammar is a form of internal linguistic knoeledge. This grammar is subconscious and is not the result of any teaching.

A second concept of grammar involves what might be considered linguistic etiquette, that is identification of the proper or best structure to be used in a language.

The part of speech

The part of speech there are nouns, adjectives, verb, adverb, preposition, pronoun, and conjunction.

Simple definition of this type are useful for identifying, most form in a language.

Traditional grammar

The englaish language has develop from latin and greek, so the grammar of these language was taken to be best grammar.

Traditional categories

There are some traditional categories in any language such as in English, there are in term of agreement, in term of singular and plural, in term of, tense, and also grammatical grammar.

Traditional analysis

There are the differences between in traditional book and similar tables of form in latin grammars.

Is the rule for a good sentences are depend on their linguistic etiquette and proper use to language.

The descriptive approach

Its form of used language not according to some view of how it should be used. It is basis of most modern attempts the structure of different languge.

I can begin by warning you that these are not secrets but I’ll try to find something that I haven’t actually told everyone who wanted to listen.

1. As a teenager I was into horoscopes. I didn’t read the day-to-day stuff in the papers but I had a book by a known Icelandic astrologist and I categorized people after what it said that this and that star sign should be like. It became a habit, a hobby, a fun one.

2. I have a love hate relationship with water. I love to drink water. It’s the liquid of life. But I don’t swim in it. I don’t run into the ocean no matter how warm it is at the beach, but I love watching the ocean and the waves. I *can* swim a little but I’m not sure my ability would safe my life if I would be put in a ’situation’.

3. I have a thing for stuffed animals (or just animals of all kind).

4. I often have over 15 books on my nightstand at any time and still utter the sentence “I have nothing to read” (I suspect it’s related to the feeling when you stand in front of a full closet and say “I have nothing to wear” it’s a matter of mood).

5. I tend to like B-movies more than quality movies. At least I tend to watch the b-movies I like more than once while the quality movies only get one sitting.

6. I tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac.

7. I am reading The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and enjoying it.

8. I don’t drink coffee.

9. I really wish I had taken photography courses. It’s not too late now but I wish I’d done it before the digital revolution.

10. I don’t know much about make-up and although I use it from time to time I really have no clue of what I’m doing.

Sometimes after a particularly unpleasant divorce, especially with children involved, only one parent has recently sworn off dating "forever". While dating, as a recently divorced parent has its challenges, there is no reason to think that you need to be alone forever. However, your well-being of children must be your primary concern, and such, you should be very careful when approaching the goal of your meeting with your children.

It is important to facilitate yourchildren from their mother or father of the idea of dating someone else. Children of divorced parents usually struggle with feelings of loss, anxiety and sometimes depression. When a parent brings new people unwisely the lives of their children too soon, or when reports are too familiar to expose their children to greater uncertainty and the possibility of further losses. The presentations of these questions, then, should be handled thoughtfully and with careful planning.

First,a general rule of thumb is only to bring your children to a new partner after you have been seeing for six months or more. Obviously with any relationship there are variables that must be considered, but it is a very good rule of thumb. This waiting period ensures that the report, though perhaps not permanent, is at least something more casual. Nothing is more detrimental to a child respect for parents as much regard as a "constant revolving door" seriesmembers come and go.

Subsequently, prior to the effective establishment, children of teachers accustomed to the idea of seeing their parents to other people. Start by reminding your children that you and your ex-spouse will not be back together. Explain to your children that will come a time when you start dating again. They explain that it is normal for adults who want to spend time with other adults doing adult things, like it is normal for kids to want spend time withtheir friends to do activities kid. Let him know that when you meet someone starts, nothing will change between you and your children.

Once your children are at least the idea of you dating again, you can begin to let them know when you're on a date. When you return without being personal, they give few details of what you did the day as dinner, a movie, a walk on the beach. It could also describe briefly the date using words such as "hereally nice. "Once again, keep these discussions and the light level of your children.

Finally, set a date where children can participate. Make sure the tone of this term children. They need to stay in the spotlight. This will help alleviate their fear of losing you. In addition, refrain from displaying affection in front of your children until a reasonable period of time passes and are accustomed to the idea of being with you your new friend. Afterfirst meeting, you can of course ask your child how he liked your new friend, but if their reviews are negative, remind them that they must make an effort of this kind. Do not let your children set the tone of your new relationship.

For all you lovers of acoustic folk: you can make yourself happy today by buying the new Lauren Elle album Manna. I never heard of her before and so I can’t tell you anything about her first album I Prefer The Element Of Surprise. But what I can tell you is that her current release is simply perfect and you don’t want to miss it, you really don’t.

Lauren Elle’s real name seems to be Lauren Treiber (according to her MySpace) and she just released her second output. Manna features 12 tracks and 52 minutes of pure and simple folk music. A voice and a guitar are all the ingredients you need to bake a good cookie they say – and yeah, I think they are right because Lauren does not need anything more. As always I’m fascinated to hear the intimacy that lies in the music and I get goose bumps listening to this beautiful and clear voice of her.

Well, there are some tracks that got a little bit more than just voice and lovely guitar playing. For example The Weekend Song that comes with decent percussions or Anatomy (and Don’t Change) featuring some nice (upright?) bass. But those tracks are as good as the others and in no way a negative addition. Also Mary M is an outstanding track with its surprisingly loud parts which will wake you up for sure if you snoozed away listening to such dreamy sounds.

So if you’re charmed by the music, get your copy of Manna via iTuens or buy your CDr copy at amazon.com. This album made my day and I think it will make yours as well – so let it happen. I haven’t said much about what I’m doing in school in the three or four posts I’ve made… since it takes up a fairly large portion of my life, I suppose I should get on that.

I am in a social anthropology M.A. program in Ontario, Canada. My area of interest, broadly, is ‘anthropology of the body’, with a heavy focus on gender and sexuality. I’m doing my thesis on Female Genital Cutting (FGC)– which you may know as Female Genital Mutilation or Female Circumcision. Specifically, I plan to work with immigrant populations in Toronto (likely Somali) and examine their experiences with doctors, OB/GYNs, etc. Basically, these women went through the ritual, had their genitals altered in their country of origin in order to make their bodies ’socially acceptable’. Upon moving to Canada, they find that a) their bodies are no longer socially acceptable; in fact, people have reactions of either revulsion or pity and b) most doctors have no idea how to handle it, when it comes to giving birth or getting a physical, or anything of that sort.

I was originally going to travel to do this research, then I changed my mind and decided to keep it at home; too many anthropologists feel they have to go abroad. I think it’s just as important to turn a critical eye on your own culture.

Anyways, I was leading up to this article someone sent me: New warning on ‘perfect vaginas’. I’m not going to make the obvious FGC connection here, because the processes aren’t really comparable. However, a connection can be made with the social context of the two surgeries. In both cases, the bodies we (as women specifically, and humans generally, as men suffer from many similar insecurities) were born with are not “okay”. We feel insecure about our weight, or the size of our breasts, (or penis and whether or not it’s been circumcised); we have to adhere to the gender that society dictates based on our reproductive organs. Now it’s the size of our labia. We are never allowed to be happy with the bodies we have because we are bombarded on all sides by images of what we “should” look like. False images that, of course, are heavily airbrushed and made up. But this argument has been made a million times and I don’t see much reason to contribute to it. I will, however, speak from my own experience.

My body is not socially acceptable. I wear size 18 jeans. This is something I’ve struggled with my entire life. My work in school, and a number of other factors (including several years of semi-regular therapy) have allowed me to take a step outside of my own feelings and look at this critically. My partner loves me, and loves my body. My friends couldn’t care less about my weight, as long as I’m healthy and happy (and size is not always an indicator of physical health, despite what the media tells you). So why was I obsessing about it? I’m an intelligent woman. I don’t need the media to tell me how I should look. That’s the perspective I chose to take. Now, of course, like anyone else I have good days and bad days; days where I feel like I don’t know how anyone could be attracted to me, and times when I know I’m hot and want to flaunt it. I’m still human.

My mother underwent bariatric surgery about 18months ago. It was, more or less, a life or death situation. She had to do something. However, this type of surgery seems to be gaining popularity as an option for people who are not in life threatening situations. I don’t recommend it; my mother has lost a lot of weight, but her life has also been drastically changed. She can’t eat sugar at all, or bread. She gets terribly sick if she does. She has to take a bunch of supplements to make up for the nutrients she isn’t getting through the small amount of food she can eat at a meal. It’s a serious surgery, and it hasn’t changed her feelings about her body at all because she feels she has not lost enough weight as quickly as she wanted to.

Now, coming back to that article. I would like to quote from it:

“Essentially this is just about removing a bit of loose flesh, leaving behind an elegant-looking labia with minimum scarring. The procedure won’t interfere with sexual function. [...] Lads’ mags are looked at by girlfriends, and make them think more about the way they look. We live in times where we are much more open about our bodies – and changing  – and labioplasty is simply a part of this.”

I’ll note, here, that that’s a quote from a male surgeon. I don’t see men rushing out to get penis extensions to match male porn stars.

Why should we all be concerned about what our labia looks like? Why should we have to look like porn stars? Why are we “more open about changing our bodies” through surgery– which can likely have serious complications, and involves a lengthy, painful recovery? These are all important questions. Any thoughts?

I’m happy to introduce another german folk artist/singer-songwriter to you. Today it’s Clemens Scholtysik from Leipzig/Germany performing under the moniker Malenkij Wolk – meaning little wolf. The name itself was inspired by an animation film by russian film maker Jurij Norstein.

Malenkij Wolk as a band was founded 5 years ago as a project of Clemens and his brother but in the last two years more members joined and with them a big variety of instruments such as guitar, bass, percussion, cello, viola, piano, accordion, saxophon and vocals. But for now most of the members left the band due to professional issues and so Clemens continues Malenkij Wolk as a singer-songwriter singing and writing songs on his own.

Few days ago I stumbled upon the Balcony TV session he did and I really liked what I heard. I checked out his MySpace profile and I was sure that I found another talented artist from Germany. I contacted him and asked for some songs he kindly sent me. As I listen to them I can feel a strong melancholic moment in them not at least because of the expressive but also mirthless and lonely voice. All tracks seem to be sad to the bone although Clemens and his former band enrich them for example with some noisy flavor as in The Feast or some explosive instrumentation as in The Swimmer.

But overall the music is very calm and refelctive and I listen to it with great pleasure. Maybe I would have liked the tracks even more if they were just vocals and acoustic guitar but as you can hear in the two tracks I embedded in the post (both from his 2007 debut Slipping Through The Black Curtain) this man knows how to write songs and how to implement instruments in a very positive way.

His current work as a solo singer-songwriter can be heard on his MySpace profile. The songs Just An Illusion, Cemetery Of The Noname, Dance When The Year Is Dying and Don’t You Know give you a perfect picture of his abilitys. I think his whole style improved and the new songs are just beautiful and got what I missed a bit in some of the tracks recorded together with the whole band: great intimacy (and just vocals and guitar).

I really look forward to the next release by Malenkij Wolk because I believe Clemens Scholtysik has much talent and it is a good feeling to know that the german folk scene got another talented artist to count on in the future. Be sure to check out his new songs on MySpace and don’t forget to watch the Balcony TV session featuring him.
