Si de medios demonios japoneses hablamos sin duda Inuyasha se lleva las de ganar el famoso personaje creado por la también madre de Ranma ½, Rumiko Takahashi llega para sus fans en esta figura coleccionable basada directamente en el anime.

La figura en cuestión tiene 5-1/2 pulgadas de alto, además de un fino y detallado acabado que muestra, costuras, pliegues de la ropa de Inuyasha y por supuesto su expresión de ferocidad a la hora de atacar con la legendaria espada Testusaiga.

Inuyasha Kanketsu – hen – 06

Sesshomaru is the nicest pedobear ever. He doesn’t stalk lolis, he SAVES them from death, TWICE! You should all learn from him. m9(ゝc_,･｡) Too bad Kouga’s out of the picture now. I guess there’s not enough filler space for him so now that his shikon pieces are gone, he’s kinda useless lol.

Inuyasha adalah seorang siluman anjing yang hidup di masa lalu. Namun karena suatu kutukan, Inuyasha bukanlah seorang siluman sejati. Ia hanyalah manusia setengah siluman yang masih memiliki perasaan sebagai sorang manusia. Salah satu cara untuk menjadi siluman sejati adalah dengan merebut Shikon No Tama (batu kristal keramat) milik Kikyo, seorang pendeta wanita. Dalam pertarungannya dengan Kikyo, Inuyasha akhirnya mengalami kekalahan dan tersegel selama 50 tahun di bawah pohon keramat. Lebih buruk lagi, pertarungannya dengan Kikyo mengakibatkan Shikon No Tama hancur berkeping-keping.
Sementara itu, di masa kini, seorang gadis bernama Kagome secara tidak sengaja terbawa ke zaman di mana Inuyasha berada. Ia pun melepaskan segel Inuyasha dan membebaskannya. Setelah bebas, Inuyasha pun dihukum untuk mengumpulkan kembali pecahan Shikon No Tama, dibantu oleh Kagome. Maka, dimulailah petualangan Inuyasha untuk mengumpulkan pecahan Shikon No Tama yang telah dikuasai oleh banyak siluman.
Selain Kagome dan Inuyasha, ada pula tokoh-tokoh lain yang ikut meramaikan cerita. Ada Shippo, siluman rubah kecil yang akhirnya menjadi kelompok Inuyasha. Ada pula Sesshomaru, kakak Inuyasha yang perannya dalam cerita ini cukup misterius, yang memiliki pedang sakti bernama Tenseiga.
Lambat laun, akan terungkap perkembangan cerita ini. Mulai dari keterikatan takdir antara Inuyasha dan Kagome, hingga kemiripan wajah antara Kagome dan Kikyo. Selain harus menghadapi banyak monster-monster jahat. Inuyasha juga harus mengalahkan jiwa silumannya. Perlahan tapi pasti, kisah cinta antara Inuyasaha dan Kagome mulai tumbuh. Terwujudkah impian Inuyasha dan Kagome? Bersama pedang Tessaiga-nya inilah Inuyasha berambisi untuk mewujudkan mimpinya.

Hey, everybody! Happy Thanksgiving!

You know what that means. . . I’ve been blogging as the Duct Tape Alchemist for a whole freaking year now! Isn’t that incredible? And, man, a lot has happened since that first post:

• I wrote 67,795 words of fanfiction
• I lived in Europe for 4 months
• I founded an anime club with over 30 registered members
• I sold out and joined Twitter
• I nearly was killed by 4 animals and a flipping jetski
• I went to my first anime convention. And my second.
• I wore my hair both longer and shorter than ever before

And that’s just me. the world itself has changed a lot since last year. But I won’t get in to all that. Instead, I’m going to revisit my very first (real) post. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

Well, you could be a touch more enthusiastic. This is my special day, ok?

The Top Ten Sexiest Anime Men: 2009 Edition

1. Cho Hakkai from Saiyuki: Clearly the winner this year, Hakkai is everything a woman like me could want in a bishie. He’s tall, smart, tortured, scarred, and really flipping hot! Not to mention the fact that he has a dragon that transforms into a jeep. . .

2. Roy Mustang from FullMetal Alchemist: Still in second place from last year, Roy’s manipulative nature and undeniable charm make him a strong competitor this year as well. Not to mention the fact that he is my Anime Club designation. . .

3. Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh: A dark horse this year, Kaiba has emerged near the top in spite of his being a complete jerk. I can’t help it. I love him in all his pouty, rich-boy glory. Not to mention his dragon fetish. . .

4. Ginko from Mushi-Shi: Down in popularity from last year, Ginko just slides into the top few slots by virtue of his indifferent attitude, passion for the supernatural, and pretty green eyes.

5. Asato Tzusuki from Descendants of Darkness: Another return canditate from last year, this bisexual bishie continues to pull out the stops with his kind violet eyes and incredible power.

6. Kyoya Ootori from Ouran High School Host Club: Still a handsome manipulator with a kind heart, just like most of the men on this list, Kyoya is still one of my favorite for his complexity.

7. Seiji Mido from Moonphase: A new face this year, he’s a psychic with incredible spiritual powers and shiny long hair. Not to mention, he’s really cool. . . <sigh>

8. Keisei Tagami from Shikabane Hime: A contracted priest, loyal older brother, caring friend, and barely-closet pervert, Keisei is a man’s man and a woman’s bishie.

9.Sesshomaru from Inuyasha: Barely missing out on the list last year, this is one demon who belongs among the hottest bishies. His indifference and mad fighting skills (not to mention his fluffy) are the stuff of introverted fangirls’ dreams.

10. L from Death Note: Again, he’s not really a bishie, but there’s just something about him that just makes me go crazy. Probably because he’s a genius.

Please bring in more hits because the more hits we have the more cheats we spread! Unlike some sites my site only gets about 4-10 visits a day but other popular ones have like 30 per day and millions of comments! Well, the episode I’ve been waiting for has finally come! And as much as it pains me to say this, it was bitter-sweet.

For the die-hard Inuyasha/Kagome shipper that I am, the manga seemed to be a little less… distressing? Maybe it’s because I can actually hear the pain in InuYasha’s voice now, but I was genuinely sad when Kikyou died. Not because of InuYasha, but because Kagome feels now like she’s failed. And I mean, she fails every episode, but this has to put quite a strain on her psyche.

The battle in this episode was really cool as well, although it seemed to me like everyone was kind of half-assing it. There was a general attitude of “just a little more!” Which of course, meant that no one put in that little extra effort to make it a success. So let’s try again in another 300 episodes and see if we can get off our asses by then, OK?

Okay, at the beginning that I would post a new “letter” everyday, ie, I would put up a new section of this massive post each day. I’m sure that yesterday night you canceled all of your plans, or maybe even made plans with friends, in anticipation of viewing my next post, and I’m sorry to say that I didn’t put it up. You must all be heartbroken, but give me a break, it was Saturday, you don’t expect me to stay in on a Saturday night, do you?

Anyway, today I’m back with a shitty new header (or updated header) that I designed in MS Paint, which is the only thing that I use to alter pictures, because I don’t have photoshop and wouldn’t use it anyway, because the shittyness that is MS Paint actually appeals to me and this site (which is proportionally shitty). It took me about 1 minute, and it looks like shit, but I like it, so it stays.

Anyway, here is “I-J” (there’s only one “J”), and it is quite extensive, due mainly to one character.

Ichigo 100% – Satsuki Kitaoji

Junpei, like most harem leads, seems to make the wrong choice in the end and not choose Satsuki. I mean, Satsuki is perfect (for me). She’s the aggressive, athletic type, who obviously loves sex (athletic girls love sex, I just decided that now). Not only that, but DDD boobs? Come on Junpei.

NOTE: Satsuki would just be my final choice. I would still have sex with all of them.

Ikkitousen – Ryomou Shimei

Let me first say, that Ikki Tousen was cool in that it used people from Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Dynasty Warriors). All of the fighters had a spirit of a fighter in them (or something, and Ryomou had Lu Meng, who was pretty cool I guess…….in Dynasty Warriors at least. But after that, I liked her serious attitude, nasty fighting skills, eye patch (eye patches RULLLEEE) and French Maid costume. Yizzerrr.

Inukami! -Yoko

I actually like Inukami a lot. It was funny, perverted, and contained a solid cast, not to mention an acceptable plot. That’s why it’s a top 20 for me. It took me a while to decide who I liked more, Yoko of Keita. Both have great seiyu (Yui Horie and Jun Fukuyama respectively), but in the end I went with Yoko, because, like Dokuro from Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, she helps move the plot along, and is a general reason for most of the perverted funniness. For example, she has the ability to teleport things, mainly, Keita’s clothes. Usually when this happens, a police officer happens to show up right on que, and bring him to jail. Keita then becomes known as a pervert, and in jail he meets other perverts, and generally the whole show is hilarious.

Yoko is also not actually an Inukami (dog God?) but a Kitsune (fox God?), and that is kind of cool I guess.

InuYasha – Inuyasha

Wow. This was difficult. Sesshomaru is undeniably the most bad ass in the series, but in terms of overall characters, I think I had to give it to Inuyasha, and here’s why.

First of all, Inuyasha’s personality is pretty much: “What the hell? I’ll beat your ass!” He’s not exactly a tactician when he fights, he kind of just tries to muscle his way through any problems. Want an example? Fuck…pick an episode, I’ll pick episode 6 of the brand new season (a season which, despite being awesome, is moving way to fast for my liking).

In said episode, the gang comes to a man-eating tree, which has had a shard implanted in it by Naraku, thus causing it to revive, despite the seal that Kikyou put on it 50 years earlier. Most of the gang is scratching their heads as to why Naraku would do such a thing. Inuyasha doesn’t give a fuck, he just starts flingin windscars at the thing.

Basically, Inuyasha is an impatient half-bad-ass, while Sesshomaru is a patient bad-ass. I am an impatient half bad-ass. I can relate to Inuyasha.

Also, he has three forms, his human form, his half-demon form (regular form), and his full out crazy-ass demon form (the best form). Why is this a good thing? It just is. Since Ilike his full demon form, I’ll talk about that first:

When Inuyasha is full demon, he loses himself completely, and just wants to kill everything, whether they’re friends of not. Episode 52 of the first series? AWESOME. I’ve got that shit memorized. Especially when he jumps up, slices the moth-demon to pieces, and then he lands and like….slides across the ground in a sick-ass pose. Just awesome. But that’s only one reason why Inuyasha edges out his half brother for the top spot, because let’s face, it, Sesshomaru does this kind of thing on a daily basis, except he doesn’t need poses. Therefore, why else should I choose Inuyasha?

Well, he’s got a lot of….ugh…..depth? Not really, but kind of. Got picked on as a kid, and instead of crying about it, he simply decided that all people (or demons) were stupid, and decided, “fuck em.” This is a good point of view for anyone to take, and one that I have personally taken. People suck. On the other end of the spectrum, we have Sesshomaru, the bad-ass FULL FLEDGED DEMON who was always treated as such. People, what we have here is kind of a case of a golden child, and a brown child.

Inuyasha (like me) is a brown child (brown is the color of shit). He was the less liked sibling (apparently), where as Sesshomaru was the golden child, who was treated as the proper one. Now, I say that this is kind of a case of brown/golden child, and not a classic case, because as we see, Inuyasha was given the Tessaiga, and Sesshomaru was given the Tensaiga, a sword who’s purpose was to be absorbed by the Tessaiga. So in the end, Inuyasha was given the better sword by his father. Am I talking in circles? Probably. What I was attempting to say was that Inuyasha had to struggle through life, and that’s sick.

Another reason is the aspect of REVENGE. I love revenge like nothing. Any movie or show about revenge is something that is almost guaranteed to make me happy. In this sense, Inyasha (along with pretty much everyone in the series) is out for revenge against Naraku, who, at one point of another, fucked each character over, except Shippo, who is a pointless character. Sesshomaru does not have any reason for revenge, he just has….I guess I’d call it a gripe against Sesshomaru, which is different then revenge, which is stronger. I feel like, revenge insinuates that someone you’re trying to get back at someone for something that you lost, while a gripe is similar to a verbal dispute, like, “Oh, you did that, to my wife, I’m sorry sir, but I’m going to break your leg.”

Shit, I can’t really put my finger on my I like Inuyasha more than Sesshomaru…..this whole thing was a jumbled mess of shit. I like them both, I guess in the end, I like Inuyasha more because:

• He had it tougher than Sesshomaru
• He’s got a big ass sword
• He’s transforms cooly (not to say that Sesshomaru doesn’t)
• He’s the fucking man

Ippatsu Kikimusume -Kunyan

This girl gets into so many situations that are life or death…..and somehow she gets out of all of them…..this short (what was it, and OVA?) was awesome.

Jigoku Shoujo – Enma Ai

This one’s a no brainier. Or is it? Honestly, for a main character, Enma Ai doesn’t get much screen time, and when she does, it’s usually just her whisking some poor faggot away to hell. Or is it? I’m asking a lot of questions to confuse you. Let’s take a look at what makes her tick.

So she doesn’t say much…..when has that EVER been a bad thing? The great thing about Enma is that she doesn’t need words to express her self. It isn’t hard to see her general mood during certain times, like when she’s inspecting a customer’s situation. Am I going to use an example? Am I?

No. Watch the show if you want an example. (you fuckers should have watched it twice already anyway).

SIDE NOTES: I’m finally done with Pandora Hearts. I’m trying to catch up with all the shit I didn’t finish watching, like Bakemonogatari, Basquash, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Umi Monogatari, Kanememo etc.

Basquash is good so far, but if it’s soo good, why am I so unmotivated to watch it. I’d rather watch Ranma at this point for some reason. In fact, I’m pretty unmotivated to watch any of these shows.

Kanememo sucks, but I’m slowly nearing the end of it’s shittyness. As far as a grade, it’s eying a 3 with hopeful eyes right now.

Umi Monogatari has it’s moments, but the soundtrack never changes, even when there’s momemts of suspense. The music just doesn’t match sometimes.

Yea it’s been a while but I figured this was worth mentioning:

Yes I think Kikyo is finally dead for good this time. Again, hard for me to be sad when she’s died at least 2 or 3 times in the past before. But god damnit, why does she get a kiss scene with Inuyasha and Kagome doesn’t?? Or does she? Those two better be swirling tongues before the series end or there will be rage.

Não é chacha, eu é que sou parva e gosto de fazer trocadilhos.

Quando uma pessoa se propõe a ver 160 episódios de alguma coisa é preciso fazê-lo com alguma coragem, espcialmente quando só ouve “Eeeeeh mas isso tem montes de fillers“.

A primeira vez que tentei ver InuYasha foi no início do hype. Lembro-me de ter rejeitado a ideia porque dizia que era igual a Kenshin. E como quando meto uma coisa na cabeça é complicado tirá-la de lá, prometi a mim mesma desprezar e nem me dar o benefício da dúvida.

Esta semana voltei a pegar na série, passado este tempo todo.

A história: Kagome é uma rapariga normal de quinze anos que mora num antigo templo da família; até ao dia em que acidentalmente cai dentro dum poço dentro da propriedade e dá consigo na época feudal do Japão, frente-a-frente a um rapaz com aspecto estranho preso a uma árvore com uma seta. Este rapaz é o menino InuYasha, que dá nome à seta, e Kagome chega precisamente cinquenta anos depois de ter sido selado naquela árvore por Kikyo, uma miko que tinha em sua posse a Shikon no Tama, uma jóia que dá a quem a possui um poder extraordinário (a função de Kikyo era protegê-la dos demónios e purificá-la com os seus poderes excepcionais). A razão porque InuYasha foi selado, aparentemente, foi porque queria obter a jóia para se tornar num demónio a cem por cento (ele é filho de um demónio e de uma mulher humana). Kikyo morre imediatamente depois. Flash forward, a Kagome consegue retirar a seta e libertar InuYasha. Diz-se que a Kagome é a reincarnação da Kikyo, o que explica ter a jóia dentro de si e ter conseguido quebrar os feitiços. Mas, por acidente, a jóia parte-se em mil bocadinhos. É aqui que as aventuras dos dois começam, à procura de cada bocadinho para voltar a unificar a perigosa jóia e tentar impedir que alguém com piores intenções o consiga fazer. Pelo caminho conhecem Miroku, um monge com um túnel de vento na mão, Shippo, uma raposa semi-humana que é simplesmente adorável e a Sango, caçadora de demónios com um passado muito trágico. Contudo, a história adensa-se: nada do que parece é. InuYasha e Kikyo têm um passado em comum muito intenso, e todos os personagens estão interligados porque as suas vidas foram afectadas por um único demónio, que se torna no inimigo público número um: Naraku.

Óbvio que não vi 160 episódios. Aguentei seguidinho até ao 37 e depois fui lendo resumos e vendo só os que me interessavam. É batota, mas justifica-se: muito dos episódios são iguais, tem demasiado filler e nenhum desenvolvimento. Nem tudo é chato. A série em si é boa. Tem imensa imaginação por trás e os personagens estão geniais; não é aquele personagem superficial shounen que está ali só para dar pancada e mais nada. Há ali miolo. Acabei por me ligar muito à Kagome (ao ponto de ficar com a lagriminha no episódio em que o InuYasha diz que coiso e tal). O problema é mesmo esticar até não poder mais… e quando se chega ao fim nem há par romântico, nem o InuYasha se consegue decidir nem o Naraku foi desta para melhor; instead, acaba dividido em vários. O que vale é o humor presente em todos os episódios e, como já disse, a densidade dos personagens.

Estreou há pouco tempo o InuYasha: The Final Act, que acompanha os últimos volumes da manga. Ainda tem só seis episódios, portanto é fácil começar a acompanhar… embora ainda só vá no segundo. Pelo que me parece é tudo mais fast-paced… embora a Kikyo ainda chateie um bocado. Ainda não houve nenhum daqueles momentos românticos über-sweet-will-they-won’t-they entre a Kagome e o InuYasha, o que é pena, mas quem espera sempre alcança, não é verdade?

Dou 5/10.
