With rumours that crazed fans spend their days riding lifts in the stars’ hotel hoping for a glimpse of their idols, moles amongst the Twilight cast leaking their every move and stalker-iffic photos of the cast consuming the blogasphere it’s no wonder the Twilight cast need to let their hair down occasionally…Go backstage with us and get all the screening (and screaming) action here.

I was looking up Edward Cullen on Wikipedia and I saw that it said that Edward was a Byronic hero. Because of that, I clicked on the link that explained what a Byronic hero was. Anyway, as I was reading the characteristics, it did sounds like Edward As I continued down the website, it mentioned that Lestat from the Vampire Chronicles and the Phantom from the Phantom of the Opera were Byronic heros as well, but I digress with the Phantom. That made me think about how much Lestat and Edward were alike in the sense that they are both Byronic heros. I think that’s the reason why I don’t like either character. I mean, it’s not that I hate them, but it’s just that they’re not my favorites characters from their respective series. Anyway, I think that’s the reason why I don’t like Lestat and Edward is the fact that they’re Byronic heros.

In my search for any Lestat vs. Edward stuff, I found quite a few pictures that made fun of Edward and the Twilight series or making fun of the fact the Twilight series “outshines” the Vampire Chronicles. The one that I found to be the most funny was the one where it showed Edward and Bella together in the first box, and the following three boxes showing Louis, Lestat, and Armand telling their opinions on the series. I found that Lestat’s and Armand’s reactions to be the most funny. Their reactions were classic Lestat and Armand. Anyway, the next one that I thought was funny was the one where Lestat as picking on Edward. I just found those funny. By the way, you can find the originals at this site.

Uga VII died yesterday morning of a heart attack. He was only four years old and will be buried in a private ceremony at Sanford Stadium tomorrow.

He just replaced Uga VI about 14 months ago, a very short tenure as the team’s mascot.  The word is there won’t be any Uga for tomorrow’s game at Sanford Stadium. However, early reports indicating there would not be an Uga VIII appear to be incorrect.

Ook de sterren kwamen net zoals de normale man masaal naar de premiere van New Moon. Leuk voor

ons om natuurlijk na te kijken en bovendien erg benieuwd hoe de echte sterren van de film

eruit zagen. Kristen heeft wel een leuk jurkje aan, maar haar haar is nog steeds vreselijk. Ashley ziet

er wel erg leuk uit vind ik. Taylor Momsen ziet eruit alsof ze zelf net is gebeten door een vampier. Ze

heeft haar make-up wel heel erg aangepast aan het thema. Ook fergie, Jessica Stam etc. waren

aanwezig, maar daar heb ik nog geen duidelijke foto’s van kunnen vinden. Ik ben erg

benieuwd wat de sterren van de film vonden en of het ook onder hun een grote hype is.

De beide jongens uit de film zien er ook werkelijk erg goed uit!

I was bored recently and was on my computer I don’t know why but I typed Lestat vs. Edward into Google to see what I would get. Anyway, a lot of stuff that popped up were drawings of people making fun of Edward through Lestat’s point of view, and videos and articles asking who would win in a no-holds bar fight. I immediately thought that Lestat would definitely win. I say that because, after looking up their powers as a refresher, while Edward has super strength, super speed, and can read minds, Lestat can do or has all of that, plus so much more. Lestat also has pyrokinesis, the ability to fly, and he’s telekinetic. Plus, he killed an entire wolf pack by himself, albeit with the help of his two mastiff dogs. Anyway, I really think that Lestat would definitely win the fight against Edward, and that’s assuming Lestat doesn’t fall in love with Edward first, which I doubt would actually happen, and that Lestat doesn’t hurt Bella.

There are some things about the lovely ladies of theHills and theCity that make me green with envy. One of those things, (probably the most prominent) is their ability to swan around with lustworthy handbags, seemingly a different one for everyday of the week.  However, when Whitney Port stepped out in west Hollywood this week, her taupe colored 2.55 Chanel arm candy, was the only jealousy inducing aspect of her outfit choice.

According to her recent interview in OK! magazine, Whitney is often mistaken for other well known ice blondes, including Ivanka Trump and Katherine Heigl. I can see the resemblance, they are all gorgeous and share a propensity for dewy skin and glossy hair. But all Whitney’s gorgeousness can’t save her from these unflattering garms.

I get it, it’s comfy. At least the jeans are ripped, and it’s not as though Whitney looks terrible, (the girl could probably pull off a paper bag) but that zip up brown ruffle thing is just appalling. I love the shades and I’d kill for that watch, but it’s only her accessories that save her . I think the girl is lovely, but  if you’re going to market yourself as a fashion designer, please dress the part Whitters! I know you have it in you.

The Cut, a blog from New York Magazine posted this:

“New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn loved Ivanka Trump’s custom Vera Wang wedding dress. She just died over the sleeves, which Wang had to add since the groom is Orthodox and Ivanka just converted. “We’re so used to seeing brides in strapless dresses that Ms. Trump’s gown made a fresh statement,” Horyn writes. Wang had about a month to make the dress, which was inspired by Grace Kelly’s wedding dress. Ivanka liked it because of the “lace and the royal factor.” Wang hopes to continue making modest wedding gowns in the future.

“She was actually very much about being covered and I seized on the chance to do a dress that wasn’t naked and very Hollywood.”

… Did she think Ms. Trump might start a trend with her sleeves? “She might very,” Ms. Wang said. “Nothing would make me happier. I’ve been doing strapless dresses for 15 years. It’s tiring.”

She’s right — all those naked brides with their bare shoulders are so cliché. Women should be walking down the aisle with all kinds of sleeves. Pirate sleeves, batwing sleeves, Gareth Pugh armor sleeves, gorilla-arm sleeves … or should they?”

Ivanka shares her advice with women about success in business.  She says you “can’t fake it, so use your best educated guesses.”  She also advises using Angel Investors right now in this economy because banks aren’t lending right now.  I great piece of advice she also lends is asking for three referrals to everyone you come into contact with in business situations.  Social media and community outreach are also business mentions while promoting her book Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life.

(I’m wearing a normal outfit tonight (well, a sequined Dynasty top is normal to me), with the same pink wig I’ve now rocked since fall of 2006, for various occasions. Pink wigs are the answer to all the world’s problems. You heard it here first.)

What’s in a name? Well, when your last name is Trump, there’s a lot in your name.

But Ivanka Trump has made certain that her name was a combination of her family and her personal and professional identity. At just 27 years old, this commercial real estate powerhouse and entrepreneur has catapulted herself to success. In her new book, The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life, Ivanka not only tells of growing up with the last name Trump, but shares valuable tips for young women just beginning their professional careers.

It would be unfair to say that Ivanka rode on her father’s coattails, and she makes this point clear within the first couple of pages. Yes, having Donald Trump as your dad has its perks: top-shelf education, invaluable experiences and precious guidance. However, Ivanka explains that she was taught early on that you must work for what you want, just as her father did. While real estate success runs in the Trump family, it wasn’t handed to them. You get out of something what you put into it. If you think that Ivanka’s success only comes from her last name, she offers three simple words, “Get over it.”

At a very young age Ivanka showed an interest in real-estate and construction. She always knew that her professional desire was to work with her father. Within a couple of years of her college graduation, she took her seat as Vice President of development and acquisitions in the Trump Organization. Now, it is important to note that many individuals working for the company saw Ivanka as many of you did: placed in the organization with a silver-spoon in her mouth and an office with a leather chair warmed up for her by Daddy Trump. She felt the need to prove her worth. By negotiating deals and heading up various projects, Ivanka quickly turned the doubters into believers. Why would Donald Trump, one of the smartest businessmen of all time, put his daughter in such a powerful post if he thought she couldn’t thrive?

The primary reason I decided to read The Trump Card was selfish I suppose. I desired tips and information on how it would help me start branding myself for my professional career ahead. It is in this aspect, I feel that Ivanka’s book is different from any other self-help book on the shelves. Every story Ivanka tells is filled with information that can guide any young woman in the right direction. You are not learning these tips from someone who might as well be anonymous and could be writing nothing but opinion. The reader knows right from the start that the advice held within these 241 pages can and will propel you to professional achievement. I mean, after all, the name “Trump” might as well be synonymous with “success.”

Here are some of the things I took away from the book that I intend on using in the near future:

• Put the BlackBerry down: You don’t need to have it in your hands twenty-four seven. Check it every 15 minutes, but if you see the red indicator light blinking, resist the urge to check your email or text until you finish the task at hand.
• Networking: This is a no-brainer, but what Ivanka makes quite clear is that no contact is too small or too big. She tells of a story when she wrote a handwritten letter to Carlos Slim, the leader of Mexican real estate development, thinking she’d never get a response. A week later, she had received an invitation to meet with him and pick his brain for some advice and tips. It’s like the New York Lottery: You never know.
• Put in the extra effort: Come into the office an hour early and stay an hour late. These little nuances will be noticed by your boss and when it comes time for a promotion or an interesting assignment, you might get the upper hand.
• Adapt, Change, Grow: There are two different business strategies in a bear and a bull market. There are different ways to handle a project in Dubai and a project in Chicago. Always keep your mind open to new ventures and connections that maybe didn’t make sense a year ago. You must always be attentive to changes and be able to handle them accordingly. The minute you close your mind to something, a lucrative deal could slip away.
• Do your research: Ivanka explains that when she launched her jewelry line, the Ivanka Trump Collection, she immersed herself in the field. She talked to diamond experts, sales people, her target customer, the suppliers, and anyone knowledgable she could get her hands on. The more you know, the better your choices will be. Knowledge is power, and confidence is key.

The Trump Card contains everything a young female professional needs to start her career. I felt like I identified with Ivanka which made the book an even more enjoyable experience. She is still young, and she has been where I currently stand. She has been unsure of what she wants to do in the future. She has worried that she would never be able to break out of her father’s enormous shadow and create an image of her own. She has stayed up all night studying for finals. She has been whistled at by a construction worker on the street. You can navigate this uncertain and shaky territory and forge a road to professional triumph. Ivanka makes it clear in The Trump Card that with some drive and passion, and a couple of useful tips along the way, you can play your cards correctly and win with a royal flush.

I advise all young college women to read The Trump Card. I’d also like to offer a congratulations to Ivanka on her marriage this past weekend. She was a beautiful bride in a Vera Wang gown, which is sure to inspire a sleeves trend this upcoming wedding season.

Et pour l’autre actu, toujours derrière les platines, on taffe une nouvelle mixtape et un nouveau MySpace, et tu peux suivre toute cette affaire de piratage ici. Mais de toi à moi, au final jsuis un peu dèg de pas être allé en prison, même pas trop longtemps. C’est vrai quoi, j’aurai kiffé que les gens fassent des morceaux et des T-Shirts “Libérez DJ Battle“.

A filha do bilionário americano Donald Trump – Ivanka Trump – se casou nesse último domingo, dia 25 de outubro, com Jared Kushner – seu namorado de anos. A cerimônia judáica ocorreu em Nova Jersey, no Trump National Golf Club, para quinhentos convidados.

Ivanka usou um vestido de noiva fabuloso assinado por Vera Wang, além de (nada mais nada menos) 130 mil dólares em diamentes da sua linha de jóias!!! Poderosa!

Seus convidados saíram da festança do ano com um par de Havaianas personalizado com os nomes dos noivos. Detalhe para o fato de que os pares das madrinhas da noiva e da sua mãe eram especiais: tinham detalhes em cristais Swarovski. Um toque brasileiro luxuoso em um verdadeiro it-wedding milionário!
