This post is a mockup about the application i’m doing for the jetpack Design challenge.

The application is called iWorld – it lets the user adds (register) to their favorite social network, mail, blogs and even RSS feeds. It is a simple interactive application. this picture shows how it would look like simply.

since it is going to be jetpack application, which means everything in the browser.First the user registers in any of the offered feature ( right window) and enable it , it pops a box inside the iWorld window, where the user re-sizes it and puts it where he/she likes , which makes iWorld personalize to each user. The cool feature in iWorld is the notification feature , where is uses the notification built-in function from jetpack to notify the user if any update occurs (represented in the yellow box up-left).

NAIROBI KENYA: PIRACY IS RIFE: The head of the East African Seafarers’ Assistance Program says Somali pirates have hijacked an American-owned tugboat with 16 crew in the Gulf of Aden. Andrew Mwangura says maritime industry sources told him that the Italian-flagged boat was towing two barges.

Mwangura’s report could not immediately be confirmed with U.S., Italian or other government officials. Mwangura says it was unclear if the attack took place off Somalia or further north near Yemen. He says he did not know what was on the barges.Mwangura says the attack was launched around 11 a.m. today. An American captain who thwarted the takeover of the U.S.-flagged Maersk Alabama by giving himself up as a hostage was still being held Saturday on a lifeboat being watched by two U.S. warships. source: AP news

NAIROBI KENYA: Adrift with his captors in sight of U.S. warships, the American sea captain being held for ransom by Somali pirates briefly escaped their lifeboat by jumping overboard, a U.S. official said Friday, but was recaptured and brought back. The U.S. military said Richard Phillips, who was taken by the pirates from the U.S.-flagged Maersk Alabama on Wednesday, appeared unharmed after the escape attempt. The military, which has been maintaining real-time video surveillance via a drone aircraft, observed him moving around on the lifeboat after he was recaptured. But another hostage drama off the coast of Somalia turned bloody. French naval forces attacked pirates holding a yacht 40 miles offshore. One hostage and two pirates were killed, the French government said. The yacht, which was carrying a French couple, their small child and two friends, was seized this month. It was one of more than a dozen vessels being held by pirates operating out of ports in the chaotic Horn of Africa country, which has not had an effective government since 1991. INDIA: 23 dead in blaze at fireworks plant: A blaze at a fireworks factory has killed at least 23 workers and injured 48 in western India, news reports said. The Press Trust of India news agency quoted Yogesh Pawar, a medical officer, as saying that the injured were being treated at a hospital near Jalgaon, a town in western Maharashtra state. CONGO: At least 90 women have been raped and 180 villagers killed in the last two months by rebels as well as government forces in volatile eastern Congo, according to Human Rights Watch. The group said it documented the rapes, killings and burning of dozens of villages by the rebel Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda. The mainly Rwandan force fled into Congo after orchestrating the 1994 genocide of an estimated 800,000 people. Their presence has been a major problem and in January, Congo allowed Rwandan troops to enter the country in a joint effort to root out the rebels. source: times news wire

CHINA: Scandal officials get new posts: Two officials who were disciplined after tainted milk sickened tens of thousands of children in China have been reappointed to new posts, a state-run newspaper reported. The contamination, revealed in September, was one of China’s worst food safety scandals. Dozens of officials, dairy executives and farmers have been punished as China’s embarrassed leadership tries to restore consumer confidence. Six children died and nearly 300,000 were sickened by baby formula tainted with melamine, which can cause kidney stones and kidney failure. According to the Beijing News, Bao Junkai, formerly a deputy department director at the state’s product quality watchdog, is now the Communist Party secretary and director of an equivalent agency in Anhui province. Where the fuck do I begin?

After 17 daze of living on nothing but sugar, fried food, margarita’s and cotton candy I have woken to a not-so brave new world. My pockets have been emptied of everything. No synaptic provocateurs, no money, no job, no nothing.

I see a political landscape in which people are more interested in calling one another names rather than coming up with solutions to significant problems (fyi – in my humble opinion the $700B bailout bill wasn’t a solution). Biden and Palin – interesting choices….makes me question the judgement of both candidates.

Why is it that we have more choices of peanut butter than candidates for president? I guess it’s a good thing in that it eliminates the potential for a fringe candidate getting elected with less than the majority of the popular vote. We couldn’t let that happen…….could we?

I see a world reeling from financial mismanagement, head-in-the-sand paralysis and greed. A great acronym NINA. Sure it was one of the ships that pirated the pilgrims from england to massatwoshitts. Maybe that is appropriate. In the world of mortgages it means – No Income No Asset verification. Great way to lend money, assholes.

Where the fuck was I when that line formed…..got no job, got no assets but write me a $250K mortgage so I can buy me a house. Shit with the real estate market going up, maybe I’ll flip the house, pocket the profit and get back in line. In the interim lets package all these NINA mortgages into a neat little investment bundle and sell them to, let’s say AIG. Bingo…..

I heard some wise dude on the radio the other day and he said that wall street is no longer an investment arena. Wall Street, according to this dude, has become a speculative arena. Somehow this isn’t surprising.

Today’s world is one of instant gratification, instant communication, even instant replay. It’s become, for lack of a better term, IWORLD. A place where it’s all about the I not about the we.

Sure I am generalizing, but it’s my blog and I get to do that.

Shit, you can’t go anywhere without your cellphone or pda for fear of being out of touch. We need access to everything and anything. Do you really care if one of Brittany’s kid’s took a nice shit today?

I love the fact that there is a guy, Cramer on MSNBC who tells you what stocks to sell or buy. What ever happened to doing your own due diligence and research? Lazy fuckers! Actually, if you simply follow Cramers lead you can always blame your losses on someone else. This too seems like another come thread running through today’s world…..it’s not my fault it’s someone else’s.

As the great writers for Monty Python once penned, “society’s to blame, ok will be charging them too.”

What ever happened to sound fundamental financial management? Whatever happened to companies caring about their workers through great benefits and competitive salaries? Where did accountability go? Shit, wasn’t it a few short years ago that the Enron debacle brought about the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. I think the other name for it was: the Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act.

We walk around with ipods and things called zen plugged into our ears to drown out the noise and eliminate any interaction with the world and people around us. Maybe it’s just to drown out the negativity.

As I have said since day one folks – we have to be positive. WE, have to set the example for people, we have to help folks get out of this rut, we have to be the pozitoodinal light that shines even when times are the darkest.

I had a nice venting today via my blog and feel better and renewed to be that bright light of pozitoodinal energy. Let’s make this ourworld instead of I world.

Reach out to someone and smile.

Open a door for someone.

Let someone merge into your lane.

Let someone go ahead of you in line with less things in their shopping basket.

Drop off some canned goods or a dollar or two at a local food bank.

Ca de obicei Apple stie sa isi promoveze produsul, agresiv, dar eficient si acum ca sa fim sinceri: produsele lor arata super.

Cat despre Steve Jobs mi se pare ca e un tip care ar putea vinde orice, oricui, in orice moment, iar cand produsul se prezinta ca in clipul de mai jos, nici nu e greu sa iti placa.

Sa speram ca nu o sa fie o dezamagire ca alte produse de la aceeasi firma (vezi iPhone)

Τελικά τι ισχύει με τα Γαλλικά iPhone τα οποία έχουν ξεκλειδωθεί επίσημα από την Orange?

Υπήρχαν πολλές αναφορές ότι τα τηλέφωνα ήταν unlocked αλλά μόνο εντός της Γαλλίας(!) (βλ. region locked). Μπορούσαν δλδ να χρησιμοποιηθούν με sim άλλου Γαλλικού παρόχου αλλά εκτός συνόρων είχες 2 επιλογές:

1) Να είσαι με Γαλλική sim και να πληρώνεις roaming!
2) Sorry! No other option available! You now own a Brick!

Ευτυχώς τίποτα από αυτά δεν ισχύει!!!

Αγοράζοντας ένα officially unlocked France iPhone μπορείτε να τοποθετήσετε οποιαδήποτε sim επιθυμείτε! Αρκεί να εγκαταστήσετε το iWorld από τον Installer και να επιλέξετε την ανάλογη χώρα.

Σημείωση: To Visual Voice Mail ενδέχεται να μην λειτουργεί σε όλες τις χώρες – εξαρτάται από τον εκάστοτε πάροχο.

Despues de volver AppSupport en mi teléfono a su estado original probe la opción automatizada que todos dicen que funciona, iWorld.

Para mi sorpresa crei que contendria la solucion real evitando el otro problema que nos aparece al editar el archivo AppSupport con un editor Hexadecimal que es el no reconocer los nombres asignados a cada numero… pero no, usa exactamente la misma opción que les di en un principio pero con la diferencia que no tienes que hacer nada mas que seleccionar tu país.

De todas maneras es una posibilidad mas que útil para aquel que no sabe mucho o bien no quiere complicarse la vida.
