The U.S. Billboard Charts says it all!

JYP and his Wonder Girls are back in the motherland for a press conference in Kangnam on October 23^rd. JYP talked about his stars, the Wonder Girls , making inroads in the U.S. and touched on a painful spot, G-Soul and J-Lim (Lim Jung-hee).

Wondergirls:

JYP was emphatic about how well the Wonder Girls are doing in the U.S. The girls will have no plans to promote their activies in Korea but will concentrate entirely on trying to dominate the U.S. market. Already, the 5 member group has broken into the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart with their Korean hit, “Nobody”. JYP is starting to believe in his team and partners in the U.S. Among the partners are the Jonas Brothers? the Wonder Girls are the opening act for their U.S. tour.

The 36 year old producer believes that if the Wonder Girls had tried to enter the U.S. even 5 years ago, they would not have gotten to the level of success that they have now.

In addition, JYP told the press that the girls working hard. They have English lessons for 6 hours a day. And before and after their performances for 2 hours each, they hit the streets to take pictures and hang out with fans.

G-Soul and J-Lim:

JYP feels bad every time he thinks of G-Soul and Lim Jung-hee. He hooked them up with the best producers in the U.S. but nothing panned out. At the moment, he blames the credit crisis in the U.S. economy for being unable to produce a record for them in the U.S. And because of it, there are less opportunities. When he gets more power, he will turn his attention to them with a new album. JYP added that he intends to keep his promise.

The Wonder Girls are the first Asian artist since the 1980’s who have broken into the Top 100 Billboard Charts in October. The big break for the Wondergirls was opening for pop sensation, the Jonas Brothers in June 2009.

With the progress that the Wonder Girls are making, JYP’s American dream is coming true.

Now I personally think that JYP is a big monkey devil but I thought I would share the info for anyone out there that loves the wonder girls, G-soul, 2pm and lim jeong hee. I have no idea who G-souls is and I listen to a few of the wonder girls songs (they are hecka catchy). I think lim jeong hee has a amazing voice but her albums are boring. I recently got into 2pm because I thought there would be a chance that they might come to the hollywood bowl and I didnt want to miss out on enjoying thier performance. So it turns out that I LOVE THEM they are pretty cute and ofcourse being apart of the JYP family they can dance really well (heck with the vocals as long as they can dance lol) . So now I’m super sad that I’m not going to this concert. I’m going to miss the great show my boys will put on and I think the wonder girls will be entertaing, plus I know J-lim is going to rock the house.

THE JYP TOUR 2009: Special Guests

Along with the upcoming JYP Tour 2009 mentioned in this previous article, special guests, 2PM, J-Lim, and G-Seoul will also make appearances as well. They will cover both coasts of America and the two most populated areas as they’ll travel from Cali to New York. They’ll kick off the concert in Los Angeles on March 5th and then travel to La Mirada in California on March 6th. They’ll then move onto New York City for the final concert on March 8th.

“The Powerhouse and our Korean counterpart Good Concert (subsidiary of CJ) will be hosting a three city tour with artists Park Jin Young (JYP) and the Wonder Girls. Guest performers will be determined later on. In December, JYP will be commencing his tour in Korea and crossing over to the U.S. to continue his tour in America. As a producer, JYP felt it necessary to bring over with him the Wonder Girls, which are a sensation not only in Korea, but in the Asian American community as well. This visit will be JYP’s second tour in the U.S., where his first tour featured several of his artists, including the Wonder Girls.

In addition to the concerts in the two of the largest cities, Los Angeles and New York, the hosts decided to include La Mirada to accommodate the large Asian American population that resides in Orange County. Residents of Orange County will be able to take advantage of the concert located at the theater nearby. Powerhouse and Good Concert wanted to give fans the opportunity to get as much exposure of JYP and the Wonder Girls.

The following faces are the very gentlemen who were crucial in helping Dennis Oh transform into a fresh kid. Like all others, even Dennis looked disgusting when he first arrived on planet Earth as a baby; he had no hair, no fly clothes on, barely could open his eyes, and was covered in blood+slimy stuff. However, as he aged and met the Brotherhood, 90Pro, and the Brooklyn Boys, he was able to develop into a well-mannered and confident alien.

The Brotherhood is a group of friends that Dennis met in high school. They are the ones who helped Dennis when he was down and also the ones who ridiculed him when his head was too high up in the sky. Time after time, they shared deep conversations with Dennis and assisted him to become a better human being. They never left Dennis to be lonely and for all the reasons above, he dearly loves them all.

90Pro is the music group that Mark Kim, Benjamin Oh, and Dennis started. They first started with a Radio Shack Head Piece to record jams but are now proudly spitting/singing to a legitimate condenser microphone. 

The Brooklyn Boys are the cool kids on the block who blessed and represented the Korean population of Brooklyn. Like the Brotherhood, they were an important part of Dennis’s upbringing. From scrimmaging at the basketball courts of Brooklyn to eating meals together, they were BK’s flyest clique. 

Many will not care about Dennis’s friends, but Dennis is not doing this for ya’ll. If you’re a girl, enjoy the eye candy. If you’re a boy, be jealous. Teehee.

With SM trying to push BoA into the American Market, their rival, JYP, steps in to battle and looking to the United States also.

On January 6th Singer/Producer, Park Jin Young, will be flying to the United States to reach out to the dreams of Koreans “Making it in America.” He will invest all his money, including his house in Korea into the U.S. based comapny. He will also have an apartment next to his office so he can be there 24/7.

So who will debut in the US?

Many believe Wonder Girls will be his first attempt on trying to fulfill that dream, but don’t forget he said that he was trying to get G-Soul, J Lim, and Min into the US market, yet nothing has happened. There is also a rumor that JYP will make sure that his trainees will be able to reach #1 on the Billboard charts. So what will happen next?
