Tiếng piano dạo đầu, nhẹ nhàng như giọt nước tí tách, như nước mưa rơi từng hạt, hay như nước mắt đang chảy từng giọt…
Trầm bổng … để rồi tiếng piano dồn dập hơn, nhanh chóng hơn… Một điều gì đó sắp được thổ lộ…

Mở đầu vào câu hát “Will you fly me away”, một lời nhắc nhở, một lời khắc khoải. Tôi chợt cảm thấy đây là kết quả của sự chờ đợi, chờ đợi lâu vô cùng. Khiến con người ta không thể ko ngừng nhắc lại lời này. Và câu hát này còn lặp đi lặp lại trong suốt ca khúc rất rất nhiều lần. “Người sẽ dẫn tôi bay đi thật xa chứ?”  Phải, tôi tự hỏi, tôi khắc khoải với bản thân mình, tôi tự thầm nhủ với chính mình, và tôi cũng vẽ nên niềm hi vọng cho chính mình.

Phải chăng tôi tự huyễn hoặc bản thân hay đây là tâm trạng tiếp nối lời khắc khoải kia? Sau câu hát “Scarlet Love Song”, đó là lời tâm sự, lời tâm sự chân thành. Giọng điệu đều đều xuyên suốt cả ca khúc rồi vút bay lên thật xa. Phải rồi, tôi sẽ hát, mãi mãi hát vì tôi tin rằng chúng ta sẽ gặp nhau.

Tôi biết đến X Japan như một cái duyên. Tình cờ vô cùng, khi tôi đang tìm một vài ca khúc của Road of Major và bắt gặp một article về X Japan. Phải, tôi chỉ biết đến họ ngày hôm qua thôi. Và hôm nay đây, tôi biết là ngày mà hide – con nhện hồng đã giang cánh bay về trời được 15 năm rồi. Và buổi sáng này, tôi không khỏi liên tưởng đến lời hứa của Yoshiki với hide. Yoshiki cũng như X Japan sẽ hát, hát mãi vì X và các fans tin rằng, dù thời gian có nhòa dần đi, sẽ có ngày chúng ta được đến bên nhau, được gặp lại con nhện hồng mang tên hide đó, để toàn thành chữ X Japan huyền thoại này. Ở trên bầu trời kia, hide vẫn dõi theo chứ?
Tiếng hát quả thực rất day dứt, có nỗi nhớ, có sự hi vọng, có sự quắt quay đợi chờ. Tôi không thể cầm lòng được. Với những ai đang chờ đợi, mong mỏi người mình nhớ thương, đó là sự khát khao được gặp lại nữa. Phải, cảm xúc hòa vào nhau, trộn lẫn thật sự khó diễn tả nên lời. Tâm trạng tôi bao năm xa nhà đã được gói gọn trong lời ca này.

Tôi sẽ sống, tôi sẽ sống với hi vọng gặp lại người. Tôi sẽ bám vào đó. Tôi sẽ bám vào khúc tình ca đỏ sắc này.
Scarlet là sắc đỏ nổi bật và ấn tượng nhất. Khúc tình ca này, thấm cả máu, máu của người và của tôi. Người sẽ nhận ra tôi khi khúc ca này vang lên chứ. Màu sắc nổi bật này sẽ dẫn người đến đón tôi chứ? Người sẽ nhận ra tôi chứ?
Màu đỏ rất nổi bật,  nhưng cũng vì vậy mà rất cô đơn, vì không màu nào dám đứng cạnh nó. Vạn sắc màu đứng quanh nó sẽ bị nó nhuốm màu. Sẽ dần lu mờ trước sắc màu này. Và màu đỏ Scarlet thì lại càng nổi trội hơn. Khúc tình ca thấm màu đỏ sắc này, tôi sẽ không quên, nó vẫn nằm đó, trong tim tôi để tôi tiến đi. Trái tim tôi còn đập vì được thứ màu đỏ này nhuốm đẫm. Máu tôi sẽ làm cho sắc màu này thêm nổi bật, thêm đỏ sắc. Đó là lí do, tôi sẽ hát mãi, và sẽ lắng nghe khúc ca này từ sâu thẳm trong trái tim, nơi sản sinh ra dòng máu đỏ nuôi dưỡng khúc tình ca này.

Đây có phải là cách Yoshiki muốn hide nhận ra mình không? Phải thật nổi bật, phải thật ấn tượng, vì hide đang ở xa quá. Sắc xanh blue tràn ngập bầu trời. Đâu đâu cũng là thứ màu đó. Chỉ có màu đỏ nổi bật này, hide mới nhìn ra. Con nhện hồng chắc chắn sẽ bị thu hút bởi sắc màu tương đồng với mình. Sẽ tiến lại. Và khoảng khắc nó chạm đến đích cũng là thời khắc đôi cánh của tôi được bay lên.

Người ra đi, cứ mãi đi. Người ở lại, khắc khoải chờ mong.  Tôi vẫn sống, vẫn tiếp tục sống vì tôi biết tình cảm dành cho người, tôi vẫn ấp ủ, vẫn nuôi dưỡng. Vì tôi tin tình cảm này, sẽ đem lại sự sống tiếp theo. Đem lại niềm hi vọng và nghị lực để tiến lên, bước gần đến với người.

The sky was a midnight black, almost as if the world itself had collapsed beneath itself into the nothingness and evil that inhabited it. In the middle of this pitch black field lay a young girl, her age range anywhere from 15-21. Her ‘lifeless’ body was curled into the fetal position, her long honey blonde hair acting as a backshift blanket around her as if it were to protect her from the demons, yokai and such beasts that could be sensed in the area. Her breathing was gentle but shaking, only to make one wonder if she knew what was going to happen next. Minutes passed so slow that they seemed like hours on end. The young woman’s eyes fluttered softly from underneath the uncut bangs that passed her jawline. Her eyes seemed soulless; their swirling caramel/mocha-ish hue was enough to draw any man, no any person to want to cater to her every whim, but that blessed thought was not how the young woman’s life was at all, but… we shall leave that story for another time~.

        In the distance of the starless and moonless dark night a break in the space time continuum opened in the horizon. The ominous disaster of the field known as Black Death was soon coming to claim another victim. This beast was the one who could control the borders, the ends of antiquity and eternity… the one who would watch a multitude be born and disappear, the one who ‘spirited away’ humans as a comical whim. Its form slowly arose from the time continuum rip, the eyes inside of it glared and snarled and searched the area they had seen so many times. On the other side of the field the young woman got to her feet. Pain was all that ran through her legs to atop her head, she whimpered soft tears rolled down her cheeks. Why was this fated for me? These words continuously ran through her mind until the final words she would most likely ever hear from a human rang loudly in her ears….

“Alocasia Kisaki Phantasmagoria, Once you have hope and no fear in your death, you will be brought into the Field called Black Death”

“That’s where you will meet the ominous disaster there”

“Maybe when you give up all hope to see the light of day….”

“You will continue deeper inside the endless night”

This damned ritual was what brought her here. When one of the Phantasmagoria Tribe turned 16, they were sent to the Field known as Black Death, or also known as The Field where The Ominous Disaster resided. Once they had no fear in their disappearance, or also called ‘Spiriting Away’ They would reach the beasts itself and it would decide whether or not it was worthy enough to receive the persons chosen fate, if this beast felt that the said person was unworthy, without hesitation the beast would swallow the person’s body, and soul….yes its entire being.

        Alocasia kicked up the dirt underneath her regular sailor fuku uniform shoes, she took in the field’s air which reeked of blood, decaying bodies, and death, instantly she began coughing violently, taking such a deep breath wasn’t such a great idea especially when the area was called Black Death. The time rip continued to grow larger and larger at a rapid speed as the beast climbed slowly from its cage, Alocasia felt the beasts spiritual energy sending blood curdling shivers down her spine, instinctively she began to run, but it was to late.

~”Why run darling!?”

~”Whaa-!?” that was all Alocasia could reply as she was met by the beasts itself. Instead of a mortifying decaying being she was met by the violet eyes of a beautiful woman, long cascading platinum blonde hair that was decorated with silky purple ribbons and soft pink lips that pouted lightly. The beast wore a Taoist like gown, the base of the gown was white, that ruffled in at least three large layers, over that was almost like a deep violet robe that had ancient yokai symbols that led to a ying and yang orb at the bottom of the robe that was covered in bright red flames. Alocasia was locked in a trance by the beast of the Black Field who was carefully looking through the young girls spiritual boundaries, the beast was examining this young girls being seeing if she should permit her the seemingly amazing fate that was to be. The beast opened her mouth to speak, breaking the trance of the other girl

~”If you embrace your hopes without fear, nothing exists that can keep you from it. You will meet with an ominous disaster in the field where the Black Death dances. Those prepared will never falter if they face their own death without fear. They will be lead to an endless night at the promise time” The beast let these words flow softly, her deep but soft and feminine voice echoed through Alocasia’s head.

 ~” I am the Sukima Yokai, Strongest of Gensokyo, I am Yukari Yakumo, now human child, I will decide if you are worthy!”

It was my first time in Nagoya so on Saturday and Sunday morning I did some sight-seeing, but the Okamoto’s were the main objective. Got to Club Quattro right after they opened and only had to wait a few minutes before being let in with my #321 ticket. Ended up scoring a spot in the fifth row standing from the stage annnnnd then we waited.

They opened with 共犯者. Seemed like a weird choice, but it’s a fun song, haha. Sho’s hair is still doing the wild mane thing but he’s looking more grown up. Of course, they all are, to some extent. Reiji is still the most baby-faced, but I like his red hair. Already feels like it has always been that way…

Anyhow, this concert was actually amazing. For one thing, they played every song I was hoping for. I posted this to Facebook last week:

and then right as I was thinking that they had played them all except 太陽はどこ, they played it. Not only that, but in a comment to the Facebook post, I mentioned that I would really like to hear おやすみ君のこと, and they played that, too. I honestly, couldn’t believe it. It’s off their first major album, so there was not necessarily a specific reason they should play it, but they did. Awesome. Pretty sure I was the only one jumping up and down screaming at that point, but what the hell

“Oh! Pretty Baby” still sounds regrettably like “Pooty Baby,” but they have been practicing the a cappella interlude and were so stoked that they finished the song twice for us, after a discussion of who could and couldn’t snap their fingers properly.

“Are You Happy?” is a song I never had any issues with, but I guess maybe I overlooked it a bit because the lyrics are English. However, it’s a bigger deal than I thought as the theme of the new t-shirt design and one of the climaxes of the show. There’s a part near where the verses give way to a trippy kind of bridge (? I guess?) before dropping another round of the sneering chorus of “We are so happy happy if you’re so happy happy…” That kind of tension is probably always best at a live show…

They played two new songs. One, called 告白 is going to be the end theme song for the NHK show 大！天才てれびくん. If you know the show, you might know that the kids who host it sing the song at the end, but the Okamoto’s will be playing the music. They said the kids sent them a really cute video of rehearsal and some of them had already memorized the words.

The other new song’s title I did not catch, but it was about shakin’ it and was good for dancing. Supposedly Nagoya was the first they played the second one live (I don’t remember if 告白 was brannnnnd new or not).

Speaking of dancing, yeah, I was sore for a week. Part of that my have been two nights in a hotel bed when I’m adjusted to sleeping on a cheap futon on the floor, but I think in large part it was due to the mosh. Getting coated in other people’s sweat, barely able to breathe, is not my favorite pastime, but for the Okamoto’s, it’s worth it.

So, there was one episode I wanted to relate because I felt slightly cool for a half a second because something I shouted spurred on-stage discussion ;D

It has been 10 years since the four of them met in middle school (not since they started the Okamoto’s, but since they met). They were reminiscing about their after school club which was, if I remember correctly called something like ジャムセッシオン研究会 (Jam Session Research Society), and they were talking about what a rad name that is. Then Hama was like (of course in Japanese, but for the sake of the story and since I’m paraphrasing anyways), “But I wonder if they know what a ‘jam session’ is…” I knew, of course, so to show that I could follow along, I said, 分かりますよ！ like “Yeah we do!” or, “I got it!” They were kinda of all like “oh-ho!” but Hama was thinking maybe there were still people in the audience who might not understand. Then Reiji got comically belligerent, basically being like, “Why are you always assuming they’re stupid?!” etc etc. It was a whole thing. Hama is nice, though. He seems very self-aware and just wants to make sure people are following the conversation. If Reiji or someone veered too far into in-joke territory, he brings things back.

I have a lot of Okamoto’s t-shirts (like at least 3) and the “Are You Happy?” design was not really doing much for me, so I picked up a hoodie this round. Reiji was describing the design as erotic and melty. Have to say…yes lol

NaonのYaon est un festival de rock féminin, produit par le groupe de heavy metal SHOW-YA depuis 1987. Cet événement a lieu tous les 5 ans en plein air au parc Hibiya et a réunit cette année Anna Tsuchiya, Shôko Nakagawa, Aya Hirano, SCANDAL, ainsi que… LoVendoЯ.

Les artistes

Très tôt dans l’après-midi, SCANDAL fait déjà son apparition, tout le public est debout à faire tournoyer son towel ! Elles disparaissent au profit d’une vingtaine d’autres artistes, en solo, en groupe, normalement pas en groupe mais exceptionnellement en collaboration ici. Tout à coup en jaune fluo, c’est Aya Hirano sur scène, avec une voix sur-aiguë lorsqu’elle parle, et sa voix habituellement rock lorsqu’elle chante. Duo spécial avec Shôko Nakagawa pour interpréter “God knows” de Suzumiya Haruhi no yūtsu, c’est la folie dans le public ! Shokotan est vraiment rigolote à idolâtrer les chanteurs d’anisong alors qu’elle en est une elle-même.

Groupe surprenant, et apparemment groupe spécialement sous les projecteurs lors de cet événement : celui de Reina Tanaka des Morning musume。LoVendoЯ est le groupe de rock créé pour Reina, et ça se voit. Seulement, la bonne bouille de celle-ci reste trop mignonne pour qu’on y croit.

Enfin, Anna Tsuchiya, avec bien sûr “Rose” de Nana ! Et pour achever de m’étonner, en duo avec des membres de SHOW-YA, une version metal de “Bad romance” de… Lady Gaga O____O

L’événement

Ce festival avait tout pour être une réussite : un temps magnifique dans un beau kôen avec de supers artistes. Ce qui a manqué, c’est une logique. Je m’attendais à ce qu’Anna Tsuchiya fasse la clôture et que Shokotan passe plus tôt dans l’après-midi, selon une logique de popularité dans le domaine du rock (dans l’absolu, que fait Shokotan dans un festival de rock ?). Ça n’a pas été le cas, et à vrai dire la plus grande partie du temps était consacré à attendre que les différents réglages soient faits pour l’arrivée du prochain groupe, sachant que chaque groupe n’avait droit qu’à 2 chansons + 1 duo (certains n’ont fait qu’1 chanson). S’il faut chercher un avantage à tout cela, ce serait le son authentique des guitares, puisqu’à aucun moment il n’y a eu de bande son préfaite.

En tout cas, j’aurais découvert beaucoup de groupes et de styles différents, je ne soupçonnais pas que le metal féminin japonais soit autant développé. Mais définitivement, je suis plus pop/rock kawaii que heavy metal ^o^

Di Indonesia perlahan mulai menyebar “virus” One Ok Rock ini terutama setelah lagu baru mereka yang berjudul “The Beginning” digunakan sebagai soundtrack Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X live action). Visual Kei band Kra announced the release of their new single “Clown’s Crown“.

There aren’t a lot of details available yet but the band revealed that the single will drop on September 11th.

Oh, memories. I went on a real nostalgia trip and started to wonder when the band is coming to Finland again. I’ve seen them perform two times, once at Tuska Open Air in 2009 ( My first real concert ever!) and the second time in Helsinki in 2011. So,  would the next time be in 2013? Hopefully so ;w; Some photos and a vid from 2009: ( In the third picture the girl with glitter nails was so drunk… She  stepped on my toes many times during the concert and almost gave me a black eye with her elbow).
